Keurig K-Cup Home Brewer

I bought this Keurig after I had coffee at my sister''s house. The coffee maker I was using at home was your standard traditional one but I found that I kept wasting coffee and then the grounds would go stale. It wasn''t a right fit maker for me. So, I bought this Keurig. The machine seems to take a longer time than my sister''s (whose was more expensive) but it''s fine. The reservoir on the left is handy because it means you don''t have to fill up water every time you make a cup. I find that I need two Keurig cups for a full large mug full of coffee but I knew that going in. All in all, if you drink the occasional cup, or want a variety of flavors, I would recommend this one to you.

My mom bought me this coffee maker for my birthday and I am in love with it. Granted, this the first and only Keurig coffee maker I have had, it does everything it should. And it makes excellent coffee. I can have a warm cup of fantastic-quality coffee in about a minute, start to finish. I have had it for about 3 months now and haven''t had any problems at all. I am planning on buying one for my mom for Christmas.

We have had it less than three months. We have to descale about once a week. Our water has 1 gram of hardness. Almost perfect. They have sent new water reservoir (which by the way Keurig has great help line). But, honestly for the money the Mr. Coffee is better. You just have to add the water each time. But it works each time. It is very hard to get a consistent full cup of coffee out of this Keurig machine.

This filter works great. It fits perfect for my Orion water purifier and alkalizer (Jupiter model). It has made such a big difference in the health and wellness of myself and my family. I find I actually drink water, which I''m prone to not do--because most water tastes terrible to me. Without it, I live dehydrated...very bad. Instead, I drink plenty of water now, and feel great. The alkaline state is far better for your body, and I can feel it. I have more energy and my immune system is strong--I just don''t get sick with the colds, etc. that go around. I don''t have aches and pains, and have experienced no soreness of any kind in my joints, muscles, connective tissues, even tho I bike ten miles almost everyday, and weight train in the gym. Finally, I''m properly hydrated. I''m so grateful for the good water, and will never underestimate how important it really is.

The only down side to this filter (and it may not be the filter in this case, but the fact the water in my area is so bad causing the filter to be used up faster) is it only lasted for about three months. After about three months of pure drinking water bliss, we began to notice a metallic taste coming through. We bought another one, and replaced the old with the new, and again, our drinking water is great again. I''m just not sure how long it will last this time. We are actually filling vessels and storing them so we don''t have to turn it on and off all the time hoping this might help it last longer. Also this avoids the mistake of letting hot water run into it accidentally. At close to a hundred dollars a wack, we want to try to get as much out of it as we can. We keep about ten gallons on hand at any given time, and rotate them out, refilling about every three to four days or so.

The acid water that comes out as discharge we have found has many practical and useful purposes. It makes an EXCELLENT laundry detergent booster, especially since we are chemically aware/sensitive individuals. My towels always come out SO much cleaner pouring a gallon of acid water in with the laundry. If I have especially dirty clothes too, I''ll use some and it always makes them cleaner. I''ll use the acid water on my sponges and countertops, and pour some into the toilets between washings as a better/healthier way to sanitize. The acid water also makes a fabulous mouthwash (just don''t drink it!!).

All in all, I recommend this product and I''ve been very pleased. If your health is important to you, you can''t go wrong here...

The filter is fine, but required some aggressive work with a hammer to make it fit my antique model. Compared to the previous replacement filter, this one had metal where the old one had fiberboard. I suppose this would be an upgrade, except that the designer apparently didn''t consider the placement of some bolts on my 15 year old Healthmate; hence the need to put some serious dents into the filter. The previous replacement filter had the same problem, but the fiberboard had more give to it. It is my unscientific impression that the new filter is not as quiet out of the box as the previous replacement filter was (based on my 5 year old memory), but maybe it''s just my machine getting older; or different room acoustics. Perhaps another owner can offer a second opinion.

How can you tell if your Austin Air System needs a new filter? If even the lowest fan speed can be heard around the house, it''s time to replace the filter. After putting this filter in my Austin, it is so much quieter. I guess that means these filters do their job and cleans that nasty stuff out of the air.

Bemis 1980 Replacement Bottle Caps

The caps did not fit the bottles on my Bemis 497-300 humidifier. They looked like they would fit but the thread size was wrong. The caps I was sent had four crenelation-gaps around the edge, whereas the ones on my unit (and the ones in the photo) only have two gaps or notches. I contacted the vendor and was told that they "should" fit. Ultimately I had to return these and order from another source and those did work. The vendor did give me a full refund but I was out the cost of shipping back the misrepresented item.

I have needed these for years for my Bemis humidifier, but never found them before. This is a, excellent product.

I received my Enviro shower filter a few days ago. Interesting to see so many glowing reviews here about this product. I wonder how many have actually tested it.

I did. I used a Hach colorimeter to accomplish this.

I first tested my unfiltered sink water and got 1.02 mg/l of total chlorine. Then I tested my 3-stage undersink filter water and got .01 mg/l of total chlorine. I finally tested the shower water with the Enviro filter installed and got .55 mg/l on the colorimeter. The test was done on the third day of use of the filter, and the sample was taken at room temperature after letting the shower run for a few minutes.

This filter does appear to remove about half the chlorine (1.02 to .55 mg/l in my test), but I still have it''s package which clearly states "..a year of natural CHLORINE-FREE shower water..." on the front.

That is clearly not correct!! I intend to contact them about this.

I''ve tested other shower filters and they all mislead..not one removes 100% of chlorine, and some none. For me, it seems the only solution would be a good whole house filter.

Needless to say, no, I am still not getting that ''april fresh, clear mountain spring'' feeling stepping out of the shower.

I really wanted to like this coffee maker. We''ve tried several and thought this one was the answer but unfortunately, we need to keep looking.

The problems are:

1. Coffee produced is not that hot. I expected more, especially with a pre-heated carafe.

2. As someone else noted, the carafe will pour even in the "closed" position. This indicates an air leak-something that will chill the coffee much more quickly.

3. Pour spout is not good and a lip overhang means that the last drop is virtually impossible to get out.

4. The indicator for the timer is very hard to see.

5. The water holder, while convenient to remove, is very hard to level. And, there is a hole in the tank to prevent over filling. Unfortunately, it means clean up of spilled water.

6. The handle was crooked (not a major issue but annoying to look at on a $129 coffee maker).

Made good coffee, especially in small batches, but lots of machines will do that. Shame it had too many flaws to overcome.

i bought this coffee maker as i wanted a thermal model that also had front loading of water. never liked those models that you have to pull out so you can load water in the back. unfortunately, most are like that. anyway with this one, after using for several weeks now, i have discovered several deficiencies. first was to remove the water drawer and coffee grinds basket, you need to depress a button on the handle and pull it out. with mine, when you do that, the lever doesn''t pull down enough and you can''t get the drawer out. it gets stuck. i have to keep wrestling with it to get it out. then, as other posters have noted, it frequently leaks all over the counter when brewing. still can''t figure that out. pot and drawer are in proper position, but it happens anyway. also, the way the lid to the pot screws on is such that it is kind of difficult to align it exactly level so it can screw on. if you don''t get it in just the right position, one edge screws down to the pot, the other sticks up a 1/4 or so. pouring is poor like the other posters said as the interior of the pot has a big lip. can''t get all the coffee out unless you practically turn the pot upside down. Last problem started in the past few days. if you fill it up to make a full pot and press the brew button, it will go about half way through the cycle and stop leaving half the water in the machine. i can''t figure that out either. the machine will beep indicating the brew is complete, but in reality its stops brewing about half way through the cycle. it seems the only way to get it to brew to completion is to turn it off and then press the brew cycle again. then it will normally finish brewing the coffee.

the other thing is this company has no US phone number listed in the manual for customer service. they have a phone number to italy. so you can''t reach them for assistance. but to anyone thinking of buying this coffee maker, i''d keep looking. Its made in china and has all the low quality of a typical product made in china. that coupled with the fact there is zero customer support from the company, if you get it and it has problems, which is highly likely, your going to be stuck.

I have had this coffee maker for 1-month now, great easy fill and front load feature, but poor design with the pouring spout and not hot enough. The only thing I like about this coffee maker is the pull-out feature. Now for the negatives: The filter basket handle will occasionally pop up while the hopper is inserted in the machine, making it difficult to pull the hopper back out. It''s difficult to avoid hitting the hopper handle when putting the carafe into the machine. The display panel is lit only when the machine is on and is difficult to read. The timer icon is smaller than a pencil eraser and is very difficult to see. The carafe lid is cumbersome to open and close and, for reasons I don''t fully understand, sometimes leaks coffee all over the counter while I''m pouring.

Cream Soda SodaMix

I am quite fond of cream soda and was happy not only to find it for my SodaStream. I got it home and made it right away. It is good. Not amazing, but pretty good. It has a taste that reminds me more of caramel than it did cream soda. The best feature of this flavor is how well it mixes if you go half and half with the orange, or any of the fruity flavors to give it a bit of a Creamsicle flavor.

Cream soda is a mainstay for a 100 years or so... But now, the cream soda mix from SodaStream is a medicinal snake oil that should be reformulated by someone who has taste buds. This strange tasting product is confusing with its sugar components and aspartame mix. The chemical taste is off-putting and worthy of just pouring down the drain instead of giving it away to anyone else whom uses SodaStream.

This is one of the worst flavors I have ever tasted.

Be ready to fight with it . if it doesnt snap on the first time be prepared to fight. i recomend hawk billed pliers. i had to call sure flow to repalce clampsthats thiose humps you see in picturewhich they did for free. But grr. they were pain, i would have been happy with standard threds. as far as it being a filter it works.

I ordered this RO system based both on the price and that the included components look pretty similar to other RO systems that cost a bit more. (And really, they do all use the same basic components.)

Unfortunately, I had a couple broken parts, one missing part, and may have had some extra parts! (It was hard to tell, since the manual wasn''t translated very well.) I did go find manuals for similar products, but that doesn''t help much with missing/broken parts... (Another reviewer noted mis-labeled connections, etc, which did seem to be the case when looking at other manuals.)

The half-incomprehensible manual had no manufacturer contact info; I''d hoped to get just the broken/missing bits replaced, since this is obviously a large item to ship. Contacting the seller (LilGift) directly even though the item was fulfilled by Amazon didn''t help either, since I never got a reply.

So, unable to find the correct parts, and with no contact info...I ended up returning the whole unit, after over a week of screwing around with trying to get it to work with similar parts. I imagine someone with more plumbing skills may have been able to get my unit to work, though I''m not sure about that. But that shouldn''t matter...unless they advertise the unit as "advanced plumbing skills required, random additional parts may be needed."

Honestly, you''d probably be better off just buying the filter components, a tank, a tap, and then getting the other plumbing bits separately, rather than buying this item! (Since this item seems to expect an excess level of DIY anyways...may as well just get the same parts yourself.)

In short: this is probably a decent RO system if you''re adept at plumbing and can figure out workarounds for likely-inevitable installation issues; it''s really just a kit of the required parts that you could buy separately. If you''re not-so-into plumbing, a different manufacturer (e.g., with contact info and a legible manual) would probably make more sense, if you expect to get any sort of installation help, replacement parts, or warranty!

This is the 2nd time they keep asking me to review this, and the last time I will do it. The RO water filtration unit was received in a damaged state. I had to go purchase 3 broken plastic connectors for the plastic hose. Next I had to determine where they broke off from, but the pieces inside the threaded tank and filters were not whole, making it impossible to tell where they went. I was able to get a schematic on-line from a competitor site to determine location of damaged connectors and where the broken lines went. I went to the same site when the instructions failed to mention any start up instructions.

Do not even consider buying this heater. It is terrible in so many ways. Online, this product looks to be sleek and modern looking, but when it arrived it looks like a hunk of tin from the 1970''s. Second, the triple combo of purifier, humidifier, and heater sound good on paper but it was unable to handle the requests digitally. The purifier worked well, but the heater had a mind of its own. The digital thermostat was well below the actual temperature in the room, 5-8 degrees in fact. Then it would shut off at random times. The remote would not register the commands and had to be connected to the unit for it to work. When working the unit would make these sounds that could only be related to pennies in a dryer. Tried using it when sleeping, awful. If I had to buy this heater, I honestly would not pay more than $30 for it. An OK if overly complicated unit with usability issues. REVISED

I doubt that the first reviewer ever saw one, unless it was a different model or defective.

The Good:

Reasonably effective heater.

Fully adjustable thermostat.

Displays room temp +/-2 degrees accuracy.

Ultrasonic Humidifier adds about 3 to 4 percent humidity to a large room.

Air purifier seems to work well. REVISED see below

Controls are proximity not touch and should last.

Large fancy LCD display easy to read.

The bad:

Any momentary power glitch resets the unit to off. Not suitable for unattended operation as a result.

Controls are complicated and not as well documented as they could be.

The humidifier really wants distilled water. REVISED running one batch of tap water left it operating intermittently.

The ultrasonic humidifier ejects a plume of water vapor that can dampen stuff.

The controls are poorly marked and have odd interactions.

The controls are not illuminated so often hard to see

Air purifier is ineffective for pollen.

The ugly:

Because of the humidifier really needs to be elevated.

Controls are fussy, .

To use the air purifier you need to set the temperature then the offset time.

Timer is time to start not to turn off, It would be easy to have both.

Fan and humidifier aren''t loud but not especially quiet.

Distilled water makes it expensive to operate.

Overall works so so but is unnecessarily fussy and suffers from phony reviews. As well as being relatively expensive.

Got the 1500 model 26 OCT 2011. I have to read the instruction to make this work properly and it did. The quality is much better than my Holmes Quartz heater, infact I''ll give it three & three-quarter stars for built quality. The heat is very good. I more than likely NOT gonna use this unit as a standalone Air Purifier and or Humidifier coz I have a standalone SHARP HEPA purifier and Humidifier that are "Library Quiet" that emits less than 30 Decibels fan noise. Set the red core 1500 on mid-size room at 78 Degrees F you might able to hear a very low fan hiss. Good thing that the fan speed adjust automatically as the temp is met. Time to retire my noisy Holmes Quartz Heater. Also I thought of the Amish fireplace look alike heaters, but I prefer the size of the Redcore 1500, its small enough and easy to move in any room in my house unlike those bulky amish heaters. Had I received a defective unit, I would have written something negative as well, fortunately I got a good working unit that I was able to test myself, I''ll recommend it to friends, and will probably get a second unit.

...but it''s more of a lovable early ''80s ugly. Received this the day after I ordered it with standard shipping, on the 13th hottest day of the year. So far, everything is working as described. I''d purchased another brand with similar features last winter; that unit died within 24 hours, and a cheesy, ''50s ugly fake fireplace displayed real flames after the second day, so at this point I''m easily satisfied. But -make no mistake, this has a thin hard plastic chassis, but make no mistake, all of these do, save for the wooden ones and the single metal unit I''m aware of. All of them are lined with metal; I don''t know what protects the internal electronics from heat, but the instructions say if the filter is dirty the unit will operate very poorly. The main remote itself is quite impressive, rechargeable was an unnecessary and thoughtful bonus, and the main power switch is no-nonsense no-accidents heavy duty. While the previous unit was working, it spit out a whole lot of heat, more than I''d like (temp couldn''t be set below 68f.) Theoretically these shouldn''t be able to heat at all, as I read online infrared allegedly only heats water, and then only if directly in the path of the rays. So just be thankful this thing heats at all, and quit your complaining already. Defying internet physics -what more could you ask for at under $200?

I was having the problems to a higher extreme than most of you complaining about replacemnet cost. My filters last only about six days, my water meas 781 to 731 depending on the day (I hae no idea why). If you go to the site or read your manual they tell you that if you are using an excessive amount of filters call them to see how they can help. When I did they told me they sold the filters in sets of 16 for $159.99, which break down to about $10 a filter. Which saves you quite a bit. So if you are feeling that the replacement cost is to much call the 1800 number in your manual thats what I did. That cost includes shipping. It''s like buying two and getting a filter free for every two you buy.

Having lugged 5-gallon water bottles for many years, the ZeroWater system has been a Godsend. We use the larger ZeroWater 2-part container on top of the same watercooler that used the large 5-gallon bottles. That water tastes great and is crystal-clear. My only complaint is the cost of the filters. Brookstone sold the 4-pak for $29.99 last year, but it''s up to $52.99 now which is only a bit cheaper than Home Depot''s $60.00 price. If it weren''t for that high cost, I would have rated the water filtration system 5 stars.

These filters had to be returned, because when I tested them with the Zero Water tester that I already owned, they each tested well into the twenties. Those familiar with Zero Water will know that they actually instruct you to change your filter when it reads "06". I returned them, and, hopefully, the refund will appear on my next credit card statement.

I then ordered new filters from another online store, and they tested at "000". Did the first filters come out of the factory defective? Were they used?

Advice: If you have the tester, use it when you receive your new filters.

I initially purchased this set as a Christmas gift for a male attorney I work with who very much a tea person. He absolutely loves the entire concept from the flowering tea balls to the different medicinal benefits of each flower.

The teas are very flavorful, soothing, fun to watch and one tea ball last sometimes a couple days (we get at least three four good steeps out of one ball, more if the pot gets emptied quickly).

The teas can be purchased at Meijer for $11.99 for the same 12 ball canister that comes with the set (they''ve been on sale for $9.99). It took us close to three months of brewing this tea almost daily to finish one canister.

Tip: The lid to the pot broke, and while you can purchase the lid from the manufacture, the $4.00 lid plus the $8.00 shipping comes to almost half the cost of an entire set. I took a lid from a large Yankee candle jar, removed the plastic seal (the seal holds the scent of the candle), the lid fits perfectly and works equally as well as the original lid, possibly better as it''s heaver. (Any lid from a candle jar about that size will likely work).

The attorney and our entire office have enjoyed this tea and I too am looking forward to trying the teas iced!

The teapot is sturdier than I expected and has survived a lot of use, but I would never buy it again. Sure, clear glass is a nice medium if you want to use tea flowers like the ones that come in the set, but the glass infuser is a disaster. The tea is supposed to brew through four sets of slits in the bottom, which get clogged easily, are difficult to clean, and don''t allow enough water to flow through. The tiny slits make it hard to fill the teapot because the infuser can''t drain into the pot fast enough. To fill the teapot with tea in the infuser, I have to pour in water, wait as it slowly drains through into the pot out of the infuser, pour in more water, wait, pour in more water and wait, and then pour in the final bit of water. When I try to pour the tea, the lid and infuser fall out, so I have to hold them on or remove them. Tea leaves get wedged in the slits and have a hard time getting them back out when I wash it.

The one big upside is that it is very lightweight for a teapot this size. Plus, if you generally use tea flowers or bagged tea, this teapot will work just fine for you. It really is dishwasher safe even on the bottom rack. It will also survive rapid temperature changes, like dropping a bunch of ice into hot tea.

Saeco S-TT-ST Talea Touch Super-Automatic Espresso Machine Save 52% Off

The Talea Touch makes terrific coffee and has functions that are well thought out and easy to use. The only problem is that they can''t make one that works.

I bought mine in Dec. 2009 from Seattle Coffee Gear. By March 2010, I had returned my third defective machine to Saeco. All three had different problems; the first leaked all over the counter when brewing (an internal hose defect), the second could not be programmed or hold a date and time; the third has a steam wand that leaked (poured) water during the brew cycle enough to fill a shot glass for each coffee made. As of September, I have had to return it two additional times for repairs a total of 5 times.

Saeco will fix or replace this again but what does that tell you about their QC? Saeco customer service has been helpful and courteous once you reach them. Be prepared to wait > 45 minutes on their customer support line to reach a human being.

Saeco came highly recommended and it does makes great coffee and lattes when it works. If you like Audi''s, this may be the coffee machine for you.

One last note, I have attempted to submit this review many times at Seattle Coffee gear and somehow it never appears on their website.

Maybe it is a little premature and I admit I was spooked by the negative reviews, but so far I have been very happy with Talea Touch. I bought it refurbished, not from Amazon but from an auction site (you know which one) and took out an extended SquareTrade warranty. It took little to no time to prime the water circuit, make custom adjustments to the grind and strength of the shot but it resulted in amazing espresso. Prior to this, I was using a Starbucks (Saeco) Barista espresso machine with a de-pressurized portafilter along with Ascaso I-mini grinder to make my espressos/lattes/cappuchinos. Despite reading coffeegeek and Home-barista.com, adjusting the grind/tamp/temp surfing techniques, my pulls were still resulting in shots too sour or too bitter. I was considering buying a higher-end espresso machine and PID kit for better temp control, but realized that I was spending way too much time in the morning griding/dosing/pulling and cleaning when I and my wife just want the d*** coffee. Yes, with Talea touch you do have to clean the group head, descale etc. Yes, the water reservoir could be bigger, the milk island could be cheaper (don''t have one), the spent water/coffee puck reservoir could be a bit bigger as well... but when it comes to shot quality, it was on par with the shots I had in Italy or local Stumptown. And it takes less than 5 minutes to pull a shot. So far I am very happy with the purchase. Durability remains a concern so I will update the review accordingly.

This machine makes wonderful coffee that can be adjusted to the drinker''s preferences. The only disappointments I have had are that the beans don''t flow down into the hopper smoothly when it gets a little low, so you need to scoop them over manually and the water resevoir is small so it needs to be refilled frequently. Those are minor problems that are quickly overlooked once you taste the delicious espresso drinks!

Dirt Devil F27 HEPA Filter

I ordered this to replace the old filter for my Dirt Devil Power Path Cyclonic vacuum. The filter did not fit my vacuum because the indicator that''s supposed to tell you how well your vacuum is working was in the way. My old filter had a cutout to accommodate this, but this new one did not. Because I had been waiting for the filter for about a week and really needed to use my vacuum, I unscrewed the indicator, which never really worked, and put the filter in anyway. However, please note this does not match the original HEPA filter that came with my vacuum.

I also don''t think the suction works as well as it did with my old filter before it got clogged, but perhaps I''ll end up finding there''s something else causing that. I suspect it might be because this filter has an extra piece of material that separates the filter from the rest of the vacuum, though, that the old filter didn''t have.

Fits great! Perfect! I just wish they would come with the new black sponge part that sits on top of this piece. But I am just reusing the old one from when I originally bought it.

When I first reviewed this product, I had used it for nearly 2 weeks and was satisfied. However several days ago I noticed the coffee maker was making an odd noise when brewing. I realized that the machine was leaking and dousing the heating element with water, making lots of concerning hissing and crackling noises. The water then leaked out the bottom as well. I only wish I''d read the reviews before I purchased this machine.

UPDATE: I contacted Hamilton Beach and the customer service lady said that reports of leaks were common, so they sent me a new coffee maker. Too bad the new coffee maker leaked as well! It had the exact same problem of leaking on the heating element and out the bottom.

I called again to ask for a refund and they refused. Instead they are sending me a 3rd coffee maker. Now suddenly this second customer service lady insisted that leaks were not a common problem.

Also, I have noticed that there are new 5-star reviews of this unit which claim that those of us who left 1-star reviews are "lazy" or that the leak is "user error". One has to wonder why these reviewers are taking this so seriously, and why they''re using their reviews to attack others.

Long story short, I highly recommend you save yourself some trouble and some money avoid this machine!

After about 3 months the switch started clicking inside when it wasn''t in use. At first I thought nothing of it. Then I started noticing it was hot when I went to make a pot of coffee even though I hadn''t been home all day. As time has passed (over the course of the last month) the heat (when off) has been rising. This is ironic since it wouldn''t make a "HOT" cup of coffee in the first place.

I''ve been unplugging it recently when I''m not using it to be safe while waiting for my new one to arrive (definitely not made by HB) and in the past week I''ve forgotten to unplug it twice. I''ve come home to open it to STEAM and IMMENSE heat to the tune of the used filter being black at the top from being cooked. I would definitely stay away from this lest you want a fire to erupt. Today marks the last pot of coffee I''ll have from this coffee maker.

Mine lasted about 1 year. It worked well at first, though it does burn coffee when the tank is nearly empty. After a few months it began to leak around the base plate (very messy), and the valve began to get loose and tend to dribble all over when dispensing. (When I took it apart, I discovered the cheap plastic valve had actually broken, and the insides of the valve assembly were quite unsanitary -strange gunk accumulated in the dispenser area, despite daily washing). This is clearly not designed for maintainability either: they do not offer replacement tanks, valves etc. and they use a mix of phillips and spanner type screws to make it intentionally difficult for DIY types to repair the seals.

The design concept is good, I just wish the manufacturing wasn''t so pathetic.

I bought this coffee maker with some trepidation based on the other reviews I read, but decided to anyway. It had all of the features I was looking for, and the negative comments seemed like things I could either avoid (now that I was aware of them) or common sense user errors. I bought it at Walmart and paid $30. I brought it home, washed it out, and then made a full pot of coffee. It was excellent! Very easy to use, the coffee stayed hot and didn''t get burnt at all. I had been looking to replace my traditional glass carafe because after a little while, the heating plate would burn the coffee. I had done a bunch of online research between the glass carafe, thermal carafe, and this kind. I let this one go for the full 2 hours before the machine shut itself off, and the coffee never tasted burnt. I usually only fill it up to the 6 cup mark in the morning and that makes me 2-large cups (huge mugs from Pier One) or 3-small cups (smaller mugs from Starbucks). I love the dispenser, the glass carafe always made a mess when I''d pour it. Having people over and dispensing the coffee isn''t a problem for me, I never took the glass carafe away from the coffee maker or put it on the table anyway. I''ve been using this coffee maker 4-6 times a week for about a month now.....and I love it! It''s super easy to clean as well. I have had no issues with it leaking or getting too hot/not getting hot enough.
