I received this information directly from Speakman.

The flow restricter on this unit is simply the small rubber o-ring down inside of the neck. To remove the o-ring use small needle nose pliers, a pair of tweezers or a bent paperclip. There is no need to remove or break any parts. Once you remove the o-ring you get full flow of the water.

I took mine out and realized that the water pressure was too great for my shower area and was able to drop the o-ring back down and push it back into place under the prongs. If you break out the filter like another review indicates you will not be able to put it back in.

I installed the Speakman Anystream Icon 8-Jet shower head this morning. Warningremoving the flow restrictor did prove more difficult than Speakman''s website will have you believe. In the new design, you cannot remove the collar without a special tool.

Here''s how to do it, you will need only needle nose pliers and a small-tipped yet sturdy flat head screwdriver.

1) Look into the neckyou will see white plastic with 4-prongs holding in a black o-ring.

2) You need to make sure you don''t push the assembly into the housing of the shower head so be sure to proceed with caution. Keep the neck/ball at an angle to make it harder for debris to fall downward (possibly clogging a jet).

3) Using needle nose pliers, grab each prong forcefully while pulling OUTWARD toward yourself. Pull out ALL four prongs (they will break off, that''s OK), if you''re lucky the whole assembly could fall into your lap. I was not lucky but an edge of the white plastic restrictor lifted up.

4) Remove the o-ring and discard.

5) You should be looking at a white plastic flow restrictor. Using the small-tipped flat head screwdriver gently pry the flow restrictor outward (towards you), once you have enough edge exposed, use the needle nose pliers to remove the restrictor.

6) If you are having trouble you could always use a sharp drywall screw and gently sink it right thru the center of the white plastic giving you purchase to pull it out with brute force. Again, just be careful so the assembly doesn''t fall inward.

The shower head is not very different than the Geissdorf 8 we are replacing. They are both a high quality and high volume shower head. The difference seems to be that when properly adjusted (not wide open) the Speakman''s jets are more defined while maintaining a larger spray pattern. The shower seems more forceful than the Geissdorf but still does not sting my wife''s sensitive skin.

I just easily self-installed without a wrench the S-2251 (8-jet) showerhead from Speakman, replacing a Speakman 5-jet. The 8-jet has a more sophisticated spray pattern, covering more area, so you don''t have to move around in the shower as much for water coverage. It has all of the power of the 5-jet but with the same water volume. I didn''t have to remove the controller-ring (to increase water pressure). It''s enough as is. I''m very pleased, for it creates as good a shower as you''d get at a good motel/hotel. Avoid the so-called "high-pressure" shower heads, for all they do is reduce the width of the stream to achieve greater intensity. The S-2251 is better (and luxurious). It also looks great and appears durable.

PUR CT5000 Water Filter System

We have had this product for a couple of years. We use in our bathroom so we don''t have to have bottled water there. We need a new filter, but now I find you have discontinued the item. It is a shame such a good product has been discontinued. Are replacement filters still available?

This product is far superior to the on-the-faucet type filters. We have broken three of those filters because the water pressure eventually cracks the housing. We have had this filter for two or three years now and have had no problems. The water tastes great and it takes up very little counter space. The filters are not cheap, but they last longer than the afore-mentioned faucet types.

I followed the directions carefully but this did not cure the problem. So I went to Zojirushi''s website and left a message for Customer Support, detailing my problem. After several weeks and no answer, this morning I called Zojirushi''s toll free Customer Support number. I got the shock of my life when I was informed that all non-electric Zojirushi products do not carry any sort of warranty! I couldn''t believe what I was hearing, so I checked the paperwork that accompanied the product and, sure enough, there is no warranty whatsoever. I informed the Customer Support person that I would never, ever, buy another Zojirushi product again.

While the carafe does an excellent job of keeping hot beverages hot for long periods of time, the fact that you have to insert your fingernail into the mechanism to get the carafe to close speaks loudly of a design defect that Zojirushi knows about (why else would they print detailed instructions on correcting the problem that are included with all new purchases?) and refuses to correct. Never again for me for a Zojirushi product.

I got 2 of these 3 weeks ago and now it is selling for $5 less which is very annoying. That aside, I was happy to report that the ones I got haven''t had the problem of the other reviewers. My family have been used a Zojurushi thermal for over 20 years and it finally had to be retired since we cracked it. We use it to keep water hot. I did a test, 12 hours after I put boiling water in, I checked the termperature, it was 152F which is not boiling but hot enough to scorch my mouth. It does what it''s supposed to and it has that industrial styling, if that''s what you like.

OK the cleaner itself, I give 5 starts. It is indeed all that and a bag of chips so to speak.

However, I''m sensitive to salicylates and something in this gives me awful respiratory reactions when I spray it. "Chemically sensitive" does not mean that every non-toxic, natural thing is OK (I''m allergic to aspirin, so aloe is a problem, etc.)

That isn''t the fault of the cleaner; the 3 stars is because if you''re having it shipped, buying the spray is silly. Much better to buy the 32 oz concentrate. Then you can mix it in a spray bottle at home, and you can use it in different strengths for different tasks.

OR, if you''re like me, buying the concentrate and not the spray means you can dilute it in a dish and dip the rag in -no spraying means no inhaling. Since it bugs me I wouldn''t want it in the air around my pets or baby.

So far so good! We had a slight issue at first with it not generating steam, but a call to the customer support number got us straightened out within minutes. Note to buyers: it takes a few minutes (not a few seconds) for water to saturate the filter on the initial use. Customer support recommended taking a squeeze bottle filled with water (we used a dollar store ketchup bottle) and forcing water into the filter. This got us steam within seconds and it''s been gangbusters ever since.

It cleans just as well as a mop with cleaning solutions in less time (if you figure in the time it takes to fill up bucket, mix chemicals, etc.), with less mess (leaves surfaces slightly damp vs. wet), and less cleanup afterward (no chemicals to dump/rinse just throw the cloth pad in the laundry). That''s another thing the clamp that holds the cloth pad on allows you to use any kind of cloth, so you''re not stuck buying replacement pads; you can use old towels or rags. With 3 cats running around like maniacs, it''s great to not have to use cleaning solutions on the floors.

Our only lasting complaint is that the rack that holds the accessories doesn''t fit snugly onto the body of the machine and falls off if you bump it. Until we can figure out how to wedge it a little more tightly we''re just leaving the rack off while in use.

I would definitely recommend!

After spending time over several weeks reading reviews on Steam Mops, it''s clear that the manufacturers need to do some work. There were so many poor reviews in every product line, it was hard to find any product that didn''t have scathing reviews. I found this one on other sites with good reviews so thought I would give it try.

If my son had not accidentally thrown the box away, I would have returned it.

Pros It does clean well. The steam is hot. It leaves the floor wet but dries quickly.

But what you have to fight to get there is not worth it.

Cons: Almost everything

You have to hold the handle down for the steam to come out I rigged it with a strong rubber band as it tired my hands out.

The cord is just not long enough and there is not a cord clasp to keep it out of your way as you are cleaning. The bottom cord holder is so far down on the handle that when you try to wrap the cord around it, you hit the body of the machine.

The plug is weighted heavily so the slightest movement and out it comes I tried pushing the prongs apart but that didn''t help so now I plug it into a power strip isn''t that fun?

The Accessory kit won''t stay on if the machine is at a stand still much less in movement. Really? They couldn''t figure out to fasten a plastic carrier on?

Hard to push. I keep looking down to see if the wheels are really moving since pushing this thing is like pushing rubber across carpet. I''m going to try a microfiber cloth and see if that helps.

It runs out of water just cleaning my small kitchen.

When I pull the water tank stopper out, the whole rubber plug comes out. So I have to ever sooooo gently pull it and hold the other part down to keep that from happening.

There are a lot of tools but seriously, I''m not going to use them so it''s a waste. I did pull it out to use as a hand held model but I could not see any difference in the cleanliness of the sink so who wants to drag the thing around.

I''m using it because I paid for it and I don''t want it go to waste -but I feel foolish getting stuck with this machine.

I''ve read other reviews on this before I purchased mine, so I know all about how it doesnt get next to the mop-boards. I find that if I mop sideways from the mop-board then it gets closer to it than if I were to mop using the head-on approach. I love how you can shut cloths of your choice in it. Consumers like to feel like they have a choice and aren''t forced to buy the proprietary pads for the Shark and other similar cleaners. Additionally this Gruene is more effective because the steam only shoots directly out of the bottom and is not wasted by trying to shoot out the sides or front as some I was able to find during my searches.

A thing to keep in mind: If you''re looking for perfection with any item you''re thinking about choosing then you''re instantly setting yourself up for disappointment. You have to look at it objectively.

Take string mops, Libman removable head mops, Swiffer and standard sponge squeeze mops for example. They ALL leave something to be desired. Be it that they merely push the dirt around, aren''t hot enough (or not hot at all) to sanitize anything whatsoever, take too much elbow grease, use sketchy chemicals that aren''t environmentally or pet friendly, the list marches on.

So, back to the Gruene....

I figured out that for me the thicker micofiber cloths like the ones sold in the kitchen section at Walmart work best due to the fact that they''re bigger, thicker and more absorbent. They don''t seem to shove the dirt through to the other side, so when I want a clean side, I undo it and flip sides on the cloth and insert it in again. I can flip it 4 times before having to change to a new cloth.

Using it as a hand-held makes short work of sanitizing and \ or deodorizing the trash cans, toilet, doorknobs, cupboard doors, stove\oven, bathtub, refrigerator (you have to take ALL of the stuff out first), sinks....just whatever.

I will tell you absolutely without a doubt that the Gruene that it is the ONLY thing so far that I have ever found to clean Baseboard Heaters. The heaters that are insanely long with about a million metal fins that is almost impossible to clean between? :-) God help the person who invented those....I have those in every single room in my good-sized apartment. The first time I blew the heaters out with it, I put everything back together and then looked at it a few days later. I couldn''t see one speck of dust on any of the fins. It blasted out a Reeses peanut butter cup wrapper that I guess had been wedged in behind the fins since before I moved in several years ago! If you''re going to do heaters with it, make sure you have the vacuum cleaner handy to get up the dust and cobwebs as soon as possible.

I don''t really have any serious complaints. It seems very powerful and very reasonably priced considering its a 2 in 1 product compared to other items on the market. The one thing I did find is that when using it, I take the accessory holder off the back, otherwise it will fall off repeatedly.

All in all, I love it! I will be heartbroken if this product is ever discontinued.

I broke my old plastic wrench and came across this one on amazon while searching for a replacement. This is well made, I am not going to break this one. The long handle supplies extra leverage so I was able to easily open the stubborn housing that I broke my old wrench trying to open. I highly recommend it.

It is a straight forward item. It uses two standard filters. My plumber had no trouble on installation. If you have done some checking, a lot of filters look good, are cheaper (a bit), or are a lot more expensive. This one bridges those gaps. It also has a high gallon per minute rate..which is critical for a whole house filter. A lot of those posted are not capable of being mounted for whole house. We have had no problems with g.p.m. since installation.

The filter is nice and does what is promised. When my new filter arrived it was sent without a filter cartridge. So I would guess this explains the better price from amazon vs Home depot. When I was shopping and comparing filters, both Home Depot and Amazon showed this filter complete with a cartridge. So, amazon got the balance of the money I saved with the replacement cartridges I just ordered. Keep this in mind when ordering this product from amazon.

Kids Line Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

Check the water tank size on the description and compare b4 u buy. I didn''t expect it to be this small. Even the cord is extra short; about 3 feet. I think you''ll be disappointed if you live in a dry climate and plan to use this a lot. Water level indicator is also a tiny window and hard to see.

The picture is misleading and obviously photo-manipulated because it shows the 3 mists all going up. Real product has one nozzle pointing up and back, and two on the sides pointing parallel to the floor. So if you have anything directly adjacent to it, it will become soaked.

I also have the Crane "Drop"-shape humidifier; much bigger tank and cute for kid''s room as well.

This was not a good product. It leaked all over. The water leaked out of the side and eventually flooded the stand we placed it on. Tried a few different places to place it and still had the same problem. Looks better than it works.

Here''s how we got it to work, super easy. My wife just opened the package, filled up the water tank, put it back, plugged in the power, and turned it on, that''s it. The cool mist then just started to come out on top of the monkey''s head and both of his ears.

I was a little worry about this Kids Line Humidifier before because I read reviews from another web site stating that this model leaks water, but there is no water leaking at all, it works perfectly and safely. I bought a Crane Humidifier a month ago, and we had to return it because it didn''t work. The major differences between the Kids Line Humidifier and Crane Humidifier is that the way the water tank is designed. After we filled water inside the tank, we have to turn the water tank upside down in order to put it back. Here lies the huge problem with the Crane models, the water from inside would come pouring out onto the bottom part of the humidifier, which wets everything under it. The Kids Line Humidifier doesn''t have this problem, the water tank doesn''t leak water when it''s turned upside down.

I love this humidifier. First off, it''s super cute it my son''s nautical nursery. Second, I love that there is no filters for this. I''ve been using a Vick''s humidifer that works great however, the filters make it expensive. We now use this in our room which we don''t use every night like we do for my son. The humidifier needs to be cleaned monthly or every other month (we prefer monthly but could go longer). The only downside is that you have to fill the water often. We only run ours at night but by morning it''s empty however, you can definetly tell that its doing its job as opposed to our Vick''s. Our Vick''s one lasts through the night and a little longer but I am not sure it works as hard as this one. I am very pleased with it and does its job for our purpose. If you want a humidifier that lasts for more extended period of time than this isn''t your humidifier.

I bought this for my daughters room because it was the biggest and cutest out of the ones i could choose from. I live in TX and it is not so good for baby`s durning super-dry weather. I have no problems at all with this product and I like the look and the features, but I DO not like that I have to refill daily and that I cant just pour into a convenient hole at the top or side. (I have to take off the top screw the lid off and take it to a sink refill using the clear side window feature which is not so good some times.)but that is my only down to this product. I read that people think that the cord is too short but that is not true, it is great size due that your kids dont need to be finding it as a dangerous toy.air
