Ordered this item for my Aprilaire 700 Humidifier thinking it was the black strainer pictured (they may have removed this pic after my complaint) but it was the short, gold one that doesn''t fit.I purchased this because the April Aire whole house humidifer I had purchased had no inline filter. This appears to be a size that may fit, but it is a metal, bronze colored materal rather than at plastic strainer seen in the photo. I''m not sure I can use it and i have not taken the time to return it yet.Aprilaire #4004 In-Line Strainer Save 41% Off
Scotch 1801 "Instant Power" Main Line Cleaner 128 Oz
My main sewer line was plugged enough that we suddenly had sewage backed up into the shower in the master bath at the rear of our house. My experience had always been that if the off the shelf products worked half as well as advertised that plumbers would be a lot more idle. At my wife''s prodding and, when the plumber I contacted the day before hadn''t even called by 1:30 that afternoon I reluctantly looked online for recommended products and found this one that was available at the big box home store near my house. I cancelled the plumber and used it according to the directions on the jug and, after waiting for about 7 hours did the hot water flush for 5 minutes followed with flushing all 3 toilets in the house in rapid succession to find nothing but a delightfully clear sewer line.
Bottom line: I was able to completely fix the problem for $12.00 and a little patience, compared to the $130.00 first hour charge from the plumber along with the mess from the equipment to root the line, the other plumber I contacted wanted over $200.00 to show up and had a machine charge to boot.
This product is now on my permanent list, I had even bought a second jug since I had a hard time believing that one would completely take care of the problem, my reserve stash is now ready for any future needs. We''ve been having ''plumbing probs since we''ve moved into this house, but lately it''s been so bad that whenever we did a load of laundry had to jump up during the draining process and continually open the washer lid or it would back up into kitchen sink then overflow out of washer pipe end. Yesterday we decide to try to buy an auger (a.k.a. snake) to clean out the pipes.
We get the auger home and hubby gets to snaking the pipes but auger would only go so far before it would get stuck...So hubby ends up having to crawl under the house to try to check the clean out..so he gets under the house and checks it but since this house is over 40 years old, the clean-out cap is so rusted that it''s impossible to get it off without the right tools (which equals more money spent on the problem). So he finds another way into the pipe and ewwwww...won''t get into that...lets just say ''disgusting''! So many years of slime and grime buildup that there''s only a tiny hole for water to flow..hence the problem..
By now, Hubby is convinced that we either need to go to the home improvement store and buy some expensive machine to clean out the pipe, spend loads of money to replace the pipe (thats galvanized steel instead of pvc when apparently shows the age of house), or just call a plumber...I suggest that before going the expensive route, we go back to the home improvement store, explore our options, then decide.
We get to the store and look around...Hubby doesn''t think that any type of ''chemicals'' will work but all the things he thinks we will need are super expensive and taxing so I start reading the back of the chemical containers as he goes off to ask an associate for assistance...The guy comes back with hubby and we explain the problem and he suggests....dah dah! chemicals! So we buy a gallon of this main line cleaner for like 12 bucks,to which hubby only agrees to buy because it has a money-back guarantee. We later go back for another gallon just to be sure as it says on the back that 2 gallons may be needed for severe clogs.
Finally get this stuff in the sink drain and washer drain last night and let it soak overnight per the directions then rinsed out with hot water this morning again per the directions...Woot! not only is it not backing up anymore but the water from the washer is flowing better than it ever has in the almost 3 years since we''ve been here! This stuff is by far, unequivocally the best stuff on the market and will save you hundreds of dollars in plumbing repair costs! I''m sold and now so is my sweet "Mr. I Don''t Think".
Note: I would definitely try to find it at your local home improvement store first..1 gallon only cost us 12 dollars with tax included!

We''ve lived in our house only 3 years and already I''ve spent over $1000 on two incidents of a clog in a waste pipe where the master bath drain comes down and meets with the kitchen waste line. Both times, my plumber came out with the power snake and spent hours trying to ream out this clog. It''s several feet from the kitchen sink so Liquid Plumber couldn''t get that far, and it probably wouldn''t have worked anyway. Last year, my plumber said, "OK, I fixed it again, but if this happens next year, we have to take off the siding and see what is wrong with that part of the line."So, just a year later, like clockwork, I came downstairs to find my shower water backed up into the kitchen sink. On a Saturday, when no plumber will come out to our remote area.
I searched online and read about Instant Power Main Line Cleaner. I got directions to a Wal-Mart and bought all 3 bottles on the shelf. I poured one bottle into the upstairs shower drain and one bottle into the kitchen sink. These are 1-gallon bottles, so the liquid gets past the trap. My clog isn''t in the trap, it''s almost 4 feet farther than that.
I let it all sit for 18 hours. On Sunday morning, I filled my tea kettle and started pouring boiling water into both drains.
At first, I thought it didn''t work. There was a backup of water to the kitchen sink. But after pouring another tea kettle into the upstairs drain, the backup disappeared. I poured in a couple more gallons of boiling water for good measure. No backup. I ran the dishwasher and took a shower. No backup. I saved $500!!
I am not kidding myself that the pipe is good as new back there. I think I need to treat this area proactively, maybe once a month. But I could buy 70 bottles of Instant Power for the cost of a single plumber visit. Awesome stuff!
By the way, pay close attention to the safety warnings. This is EXTREMELY corrosive stuff. Don''t get it on your skin or clothing, and don''t let it splash onto natural stone like travertine.

I purchased two gallons of this product in December to remove a clog from my main line. I applied the product in the lowest drain in the house, last thing before bed. I even shut off the water lines to all of the sinks and toilets in the house to give it every chance to work for eight hours uninterrupted. Nothing. I suspect that root growth in the line was causing the problem, so I''m not surprised dumping a bunch of lye down there didn''t work. At any rate, Scotch Corp. did refund the full cost of both of the bottles I bought, though it did take several weeks to process.Want Scotch 1801 "Instant Power" Main Line Cleaner 128 Oz Discount?
This is the best product that I''ve used for the first time and it worked. I told the plumber, never mind to come and fix the problem. I gave him and my co-workers the name of your product: "main line cleaner". It''s real instant power! Thanks for saving me some mula. I know that my plumber was not happy but I am. Just an FYI for owners of Breville K-Cup machines: These filters fit the 600XL (and probably the 700XL, too), since it''s really a Keurig machine in arguably better clothing. I took a gamble on a pack for our 600XL, and was pleased. Generally, the Breville-branded filters are both less common and higher priced than their Keurig counterparts.
Keep your coffee tasting fresh, and your coffeemaker nice and clean -and save a little cash, too.

As a previous reviewer (Rita Major) also mentioned, there is no way that you can tell the size of these filters sold by Big Kitchenand fulfilled by Amazon. You have to open one and then you will be very surprised!
They DO NOT fit the popular Cuisinart SS-700 Keurig single service coffee maker. They are way too big.
When you do a product search for the SS-700, these filters automatically are linked to that product.
Rest assured, you will NOT get any refund from Big Kitchen. I tried.
However, I have spoken to Amazon customer service and they should be able to process a full refund, even
if opened, on a case by case basis. IT HAS TO BE DONE WITHIN 30 DAYS. I failed to make the deadline
as I gave up after contacting Big Kitchen.
Also, Amazon customer service is going to research this and more than likely fix this problem.
My low rating is not for the filter itself, but more related to the product advertisement.

When you turn it on you are supposed to leave it on the high setting for an hour we did thatand in 15 minutes the change in air quality was so drastic I am still amazed. I was washing dishes and suddenly our small apartment didn''t seem so small. 30 minutes latter I felt I was breathing better and clearer than I had since I moved to the cityan hour latter I could have sworn I was off in the country or on a mountain top. I had no idea purified air could be this good.
After one day my wife and I resolved to have one of these filters on for the rest of our lives. After two days we didn''t even mind how much we paid for it. And if you break down the cost of purchase and filter replacement over the five years it should come to about $15 dollars a monthwith regular maintenance these guys routinely last 15 years (supposedly)...
I am still amazed with how much better my wife and I feel breathing this airand we don''t have asthma or allergies. I am impressedand Austin has a new customer.

being sold with theUPDATE Nov. 2012: I have been told by a rep. at Austin that the bad fan motors are no longer being made. I leave the review below so consumers can know that here may still be some old models being sold. Don''t keep it if makes a noise that bothers you. Ask for a newer model.
Original review:
Austin Air has made a good product, but reduces user satisfaction through poor product descriptions and downgraded fan motors.
Austin has multiple models with multiple names, but I discovered they all have the same 2 exterior cases with the same motors. There are 2 case/fan housing sizes, the full size and the junior. After several phone calls and much tedious reading on the web site, I have found out it''s the stuff inside (filters) that makes one unit different than another. With so many Austin Air product names like Pet Machine, Baby''s Breath, Allergy Machine, Bedroom Machine, HealthMate, HealthMate Plus, I would prefer a more straightforward comparison and clearer explanation of the different models (which means the inside filter options).
I bought both an Allergy Machine (HEGA) and an HealthMate Plus by Austin Air, and find they are a mixed success. Many brands (Sharper Image, Holms, Honeywell) have been even less useful to me. Finding a good air cleaner can cost a great deal of time and money. I advise willingness to try out and then return these products if they are not effective. I think the products available by many brands can be a great waste of money to suffering people in serious need of help. I suspect people''s satisfaction with Austin Air''s products will vary with the seriousness of their allergies/condition.
The space coverage (air cleaning area) stated is over optimistic for my needs. For useful results, it takes more than one unit for what is stated each unit will cover/clean. I''m using 2 in a rectangular, unobstructed, 650 sq. ft. area, with only a twin bed, no other furniture to block air circulation. I run 2 full size units, on high, 24/7. After trying many placements, I find the machines work best evenly spaced/at the center of a room. Moving them closer to walls (but still at least 8" from any wall, as per instructions), seriously decreases effectiveness.
Staff at Austin Air explained they purposely changed from a quieter motor to one known to be less-quiet*(*annoying, whining, IMHO). I thought the second unit I bought was broken, it sounded so different from one purchased just 2 weeks earlier. I will return the newer model. It sounds like a leaf blower running 3 blocks away, not super loud, but a constant droning, humming note. This endless tone can be heard across a 20'' room, on the lowest setting. On higher settings, it still has an ugly pitch, but the sound is somewhat covered by the sound of blowing air. Run this all the time (the only way it works), there is no break from the noise.
I almost desperately want these units for the air cleaning, but noise stress is factor, especially for those already stressed by chronic illness. I can bear it with headphones, but would/will probably have to buy electronic, noise-cancelling headphones to live with these over time. Austin Air staff told me the new, not-so-quiet motors are "more efficient in moving air", but this was not also for saving any electricity. Standing in front of the quieter one and the annoying, louder one, the air flow seems exactly as strong. They push air just as high and wide in the room. The new motor seriously degrades the product.
The Austin Air units have given noticeable (not complete) relief of symptoms, so far (less than 30 days). I have serious allergies and chemical sensitivity problems. In a room without these machines running, I must constantly medicate/endure chronic pain from allergy/chemical induced headaches. I have spent hundreds on air cleaners in the frustrating search for a machine that works. It would also be great if air cleaners would not wear out fast, not sound like aircraft engines, and not double (or worse) the electric bills. Many are ugly to look at, with little/no regard for aesthetics.
Summary; for reducing my need for medication, I''d give 4.5 stars. Austin Air also has the nicest looking unit I''ve found, including a logo sticker that can be easily removed (very nice). But, very low marks for unclear marketing (obtusely organized web site information), unpleasant customer service (staff member on phone seemed to resent helping, operator abruptly/rudely put me on hold for long periods without checking in, no email follow-up on email contact). I also find the overall value not equal to the high prices on these units. Most of all, for installing an "upgraded" motor that seriously downgrades the product, a big deduction of stars. Machines this expensive need to demonstrate significant value.

I searched for so long for an air purifier. I wanted to find one that works, not just one that sits there and does nothing. And I read many information and reviews and decided to get this air purifier. I have used it for a month and so far it seems that it relieved my allergy pretty well. It eliminates odor well when you turn it to the highest fan speed. And I like that the filters are encasted so in the future when i need to change out the filter, the dust is not going all over from the filter to the surrounding, so this design is very thoughtful. So far i like it though it''s pricey, I think it''s worth the money for the sake of better health and living condition. My husband said he thinks there is less dust deposit on surfaces too after we have this purifier on.Want Austin Air HealthMate Plus - HM450 Discount?
I purchased the Austin Air Healthmate Plus (Black). The product arrived on-time. At first I noticed the screws on the bottom were loose, so I simply retightened them without any difficulty. I''ve been using it now for the past week and love it. I did notice a very slight chemical odor at first. However, within a day the odor was gone and my Austin Air Healthmate Plus has been providing my house with clean fresh air. I also had a question about air output and sent the maker a e-mail. I noticed the air output from the side vent blows upwards at a 45 degree angle, and wondered if this was normal. I received a response less then 12 hours later. I found them polite and helpful, and happily explained how my product works. So far I''m happy with my purchase, and will update this review if anything changes. So far I would recommend this product again. I''m also thinking about buying a second unit for my bedroom, but I''ll wait a few more months to make sure this unit works as I want it first.Final word: Some complain about the sound on high setting. The product does create a lot of sound on high, but no more than a standard box fan on high. With the Austin Air Healthmate Plus on high in my living room (which is a large living room combined with a dining room) I can feel it creating a slight draft towards the unit. This makes me believe the product it working well as its cycling air for my entire room. I''ve very happy with it.
UPDATE 09/12/11: Its been about a month now and I''ve used the Austin Air nearly 24/7, and it is working great. I''ve noticed the slight chemical odor I first reported disappeared in about 4 days and hasn''t returned. Additionally, my living room where the unit is located is noticeably less dusty then before.

Aside from the odor and carpet stains, her puppy had also pretty much ruined a microfiber sofa and chair in the living room (she hasn''t yet learned that wise pet owners are better off with leather upholstery and hardwood/tile floors).
When I got this pet vac, I knew immediately where to try it out -we set it up at her apartment and let it rip. First we pre-treated some areas (using the pre-treat product included in the package), then we steam cleaned all the carpet. This machine is AMAZING. The amount of steam and circulation that happens is incredible. The carpet was steaming hot to the touch after the cleaner passed over it. On some tougher spots (like a plant which had a pretty serious pee ring all around it), we did a couple passes. Bottom line, the carpets were cleaned, the apartment smelled better. Amazing!
Next we did the upholstery. Getting the spot cleaner hose to work was a little tricky, so I suggest you read the instructions first, because we definitely should have. However, we were also able to seriously reduce the pee smell on the microfiber upholstery, and also remove the stains. Unfortunately, since pee stains on cushions go way deeper than the surface upholstery, the smell came back (a little bit) over the next couple days, but it''s very slight and we may try to re-clean and see if that makes it even better.
I guess the one ''con'' to this unit is tied to a pro -the one about how much steam it puts out. While it feels POWERFUL and leaves carpets steaming hot and smelling/looking super fresh, it also goes through the water reservoir pretty quickly. For her small 2-bedroom apartment (and we only did one of the bedrooms), we had to refill several times. I think this is a minor annoyance, though, given the fact that this machine will save your carpet and upholstery from even stubborn, ingrained pet stains (and other stains as well).
Those of you with a single stain, or with a very limited amount of carpeting, might be better off just renting a cleaner or hiring someone... but those of you with lots of carpet and young pets will probably benefit from this unit. It''s good to use even if you don''t have pet stains, but if you DO have them -I''ve never seen another retail unit perform like this. It blows the rental ones from home improvement stores out of the water. A worthy investment if you anticipate putting much time into maintaining the cleanliness of your carpets and cloth upholstery in the years to come.(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM) First, a small rant: I am always stunned when high-end products make it to sale with basic design flaws. When you take this "Bissell Lift-Off Deluxe Pet Upright Deep Cleaner" out of the box, it comes in two parts; the lower functioning unit and the upper handle. You have to screw on the handle, but for reasons I can''t understand Bissell thought it was a good idea to have the screws mount in behind the support handle. They forget the fundamental mechanics of a screwdriver--they don''t work so well around corners.
In order to assemble, you need to get down under the support handle and angle up your screwdriver from the bottom. And because the screw wells are so deep, you need a Phillips screwdriver with at least a six-inch shaft that is thin enough to fit under the support handle and into the deep wells.
All of my screwdrivers were either too thick or too short, so I ended up having to buy a special screwdriver just to put this together. Not a big deal if you already own one, but I am still astounded that Bissell thought that behind the support handle was a logical place to put screw mounts. Apparently, this is pretty standard with Bissell deep cleaners, but you have to wonder why.
So! Rant aside, once it is all together, what do you have? Something pretty darn nice.
This is the first carpet cleaner I have ever owned. In the past, I have always rented the clumsy Rug Doctor from the local grocery store, and then only when I was moving apartments so I could get my deposit back. But I am older now and have allergy issues, and so I am happy to make carpet cleaning more of a regular activity.
The Bissell is smaller and more compact than the rentals. It is more like a bulked-up vacuum cleaner, allowing for easy storage and maneuverability. When you are an apartment dweller like myself, that storage part is a necessity. This deep cleaner fits in our hall closet without too much difficulty. Bonus points right there. But "smaller and more compact" also means less water capacity, obviously. The tank doesn''t hold nearly the same amount of water as the rental cleaners. I live in a fairly large three-bedroom apartment (actually the bottom-half of a 100-year old house) and I could generally get half of one room out of the tank before I needed a refill. This wasn''t too much of a problem, but I could see it getting annoying if you have a large house.
The suction power and cleaning was fantastic. Even though I didn''t think my carpets were that dirty, one look at the tanks showed I was wrong. Cat and dog hair, dirt and grime, it all got washed out and sucked up into the Bissell. Its kind if disgusting to think we were living with all that dirt for as long as we did. The cleaner is self-heating, and we used the solution that came with the deep cleaner which worked fine. We had a few (more than a few) stains in the carpet that came right out, and I was most impressed with the entryway. We live in Seattle, and several years of wet and muddy boots have permanently changed the carpet color there. Now it is back and matches the rest of the house! Just like the Rug Doctor, it took a few passes to get everything perfectly clean, and then it took awhile to dry out the carpet completely, but all in all the Bissell did a great job.
And aside from the looking better, the carpets and the whole house smell better. This is the "Pet" version of the cleaner, which means it comes with a "Pet Stain Eraser Tool" and the 8 oz. Pet 2X chemical and the Pet Stain & Odor 22 oz. I saw some longtime pet stains and smells disappear, which I am very pleased about.
This Lift-Off attachment was surprisingly easy to use. You just push a button to disconnect the hand-held unit, and you are off cleaning sofas, chairs, and anything else that needs a deep cleaning. This part is surprisingly handy, including for heading outside of the house. We cleaned the carpets and mats in our car, which worked great and is the cleanest they have been for years.
So the verdict for this is; aside from the birthing pains of putting it together, this is a great machine. It does everything it promises, and I am amazed at how beautiful our old apartment looks and smells.

I''ve had two carpet cleaners before this one, and all I can say is WOW! I ordered the pet model because I have a sheltie, and that means a lot of hair.I was amazed the first time I used this in the living room. Even though I cleaned it not long ago with my old carpet cleaner, the amount of dirt and hair I was able to get out with this new one was amazing. It didn''t leave long strands of hair all over the room like my old Bissell did.
The best part is that it''s a portable cleaner too. You simply step on a pedal and the center part lifts right up, along with the hose and the power cord.
I waited a month to review it. I wanted to try several areas of the house, and I can honestly say I love everything about the Bissell Lift-Off Deluxe Pet Upright Deep Cleaner.

When this machine works, it does a fantastic job of general cleaning as well as spot removal. The spinning brushes really get deep into the carpet and take out a lot of old stains. Unlike other reviewers, I find that the size is quite adequate. Since I move slowly over the carpet to disburse a lot of solution, my 16 x 16 living room might take 3 tanks to complete, but it''s a simple process.I typically use the machine once every 3 months or so. After about a year, it completely stopped releasing solution into the carpet and the spinner nozzle that is supposed to indicate an empty tank stopped spinning even on a full tank. I took it to a repair shop and had the belts replaced for about $30, and it worked again for a couple of uses, but the problem eventually happened again. When I searched for tips online, I found out that this is a common problem with these machines. The suction still works well and the spinning brushes are very effective, so I resorted to buying a cheap machine to distribute the solution and then switch to this one for the suction.
I regret having to leave a negative review because when it works, it really does a great job. However, I can''t see spending $200 every 1-2 years to replace a unit that fizzles after about 4 uses.

While we try to take utmost care of our carpets, it is just impossible to keep is spotless clean with a 3-yr old running around. For immediate carpet cleaning, our ready answer is always a handheld wet-dry portable vacuum which takes care of it immediately. But to really achieve spotless cleaning an hygiene we needed something more powerful and detailed thats when we got the Bissell 73H5.
The cleaner is very easy to use and self heating watch out : some of the carpet cleaners, yes even the ones costing $100+ require you to put hot water in the cleaner.
I never used the lift off unit so I cannot comment it but I did try to lift it it is easy to lift off with the push of a button.
What is good:
* Very effective cleaner
* Built in Water heater
* Portable cleaner
* Hose Pipe to reach out to reach out to spots, edges, stairs and upholstry
What is not good:
* Water tank requires multiple refills a 15x20 room requires as much as 5 tank refills
* A bit heavy to move back and forth

The coffee produced is extracted using steam that is generated when the bottom part of the pot gets heated from placing the unit on a stove top. You have to experiment to find the right low-to-medium heat to get the best results. Too low and it will not boil, but you probably want it just above that and not too hot. I have found a setting where it will boil in 5 mins, and then the coffee comes up in 1 minute or less. So, a total of 6 minutes, which is not bad at all. As mentioned, what''s produced is close to what we call "espresso" in the US, but it is not the same thing. It is not as strong and with not quite the same taste as full-blown espresso created using an automatic or semi-automatic espresso maker. It''s much stronger and more flavorful than regular coffee, though. I used the same Intelligentsia Coffee House Blend (a great coffee) through my French press and then the Moka pot, and the taste difference was eye-opening. Apparently, these stove-top coffee makers are the norm in Italy, and practically everybody has one.
If you enjoy taking your time making your coffee, this is a beautiful unit that creates great coffee (and apparently it gets better over time, as the coffee oils seep into the aluminum). And as mentioned, it''s actually not that slow. It''s a nice "coffee ritual." It''s made in Italy. It only has three parts, which are easy to clean and look virtually impossible to break, so it will last.
The only potential downsides are:
(a) you need coffee ground to the correct size. Either you should get pre-ground Illy Coffee or else you should get a good grinder that can grind to just above espresso fineness. When using whole bean coffee, our old blade grinder does not work well at all with this (sometimes it''s acceptable, sometimes hardly any coffee comes out), but we have a Vario on the way, so all is good... But it is a given that a grinder is extremely important regardless of what method of coffee brewing you use. So -get a good grinder!
(b) you can only make the same amount of coffee each time. For example, we have the version that says 6 on the side (6 cup?) and it makes just enough for my wife and myself. (It doesn''t actually make 6 cups, as far as I can tell -it''s more like 2 cups for us). That is, you cannot just put in less ground coffee and less water to make less coffee. If you do that, the mechanics of the steam don''t work and you won''t get proper coffee as a result. So, make sure you get the correct size for your use.
This thing is so cheap and well-made that anyone who loves coffee should have one around to try out or for occasional use. Ours will get regular use, alternating with our French press. I was very happy to find this. The Bialetti Moka Express 3-Cup Coffeemaker is fantastic. I enjoy it immensely. Word of warning, don''t forget to put water in it before placing on the stove! And if you have a gas stove with an open flame, do not use a flame that exceeds the size of the coffeemaker. The handle will melt.

Too many words would ruin the simplicity and elegance. It simply makes delicious espresso, quickly and with a minimum of effort. Cleans up in about 2 minutes...I take mine camping. The "cup" ratings are for small, traditional sized espresso cups. If you like to pour a mug full of espresso, then divide the cup rating by 4 to arrive at an approximate size for your "machine". My nine cup maker gives me 2 full sized mugs of rich coffee. For you "crema" people...there is none.
It is inexpensive, relative to plug in type machines, so it is as nearly a risk free purchase as you can make. Enjoy.

Been using these stovetop espresso maker''s for 20 years. I was shocked to take my latest one out of it''s box and discovered it has all the substance of aluminum paper. How sad to see a classic so undermined by cost cutting.Want Bialetti Moka Express 9-Cup Stovetop Espresso Maker Discount?
I own the 3 cup model, and it is great!... but it was a bit small, so I wanted a larger capacity maker, so naturally I went to the 9 cup model. Big mistake! My 3 cup holds just over 1 US cup of water ( about 9 ounces) in the chamber, and I get about 8 ounces of finished product. Not a bad return! The 9 cup model ( which should be three times larger) only hold about 2 US cups of water in the chamber ( 16 ounces) and because of the larger basket, and using three times more ground coffee, only produces one cup ( 8 ounces) of finished product ( about one cup of water is held in the coffee grounds).
Don''t bother.
I''m keeping my 3 cupper and returning the 9 cup.

I had this faucet professionally installed by an experienced contractor that I have used for years on other projects. On several repeat visits he tried to get the tube to seat down in the body but it never would stay. I''ve stood on my countertop and pushed it with all my weight, but the gaskets just roll up and out of their grooves, preventing a good seat. Hence it wobbles and it leaks badly when turned on. And the gaskets need replacing now. I replaced a perfectly functional faucet for the sake of good looks in my new kitchen. Maybe I''m just unlucky, but I think this is a fancy piece of junk.Read Best Reviews of Everpure EV9000-90 Designer Series Drinking Water Faucet Here
We liked the (apparent) design of the faucet and ordered one with what was supposedly a "satin nickel" finish.Yuck! What arrived (in a box labeled Satin Nickel so I have no reason to believe they shipped the wrong one) was the color of dull aluminum. It looked like a cheap finish & did not match other items (Satin Nickel and stainless steel) in our kitchen.
Return was painless.

I had very good service on my order. I am disappointed that the faucet has a slow leak. The plumber who installed it said that is the fault of the design. We needed a replacement and searched Amazon for this faucet. It''s head and shoulders above the faucet that came with our water filter. Îs solidly built.#35 Aprilaire Humidifier Replacement Water Panel

This is my second time using this item. Due to hard water I had to replace it in 14 months which is much longer than recommended and it still did a good job.Extech RE300 ExStik ORP Meter
- Measures ORP/Redox from -999 to 999mV
- Automatic electronic self calibration
- Simulated analog bargraph displays change in ORP reading
- Waterproof to IP57 protects meter from wet environment
- Data hold, auto power off and low battery indication
So far it has functioned great. I have read that orp meters less than 300 bucks can lose calibration and the sensors go out... so we will see how long it holds up, however I am very satisfied so far.
Things to note:
When I did a search for a ph meter this one came up, however when I recieved it I noticed I had misread the description. It is JUSt an orp meter. So I am thinking of getting the PH Extech coming up soon, but there are so many mixed reviews on all makes and models. Right now I am using ph strips and they are fairly accurate, but will be looking to get a digital reading of ph.
The reason for the 4 stars is that the meter works great but did not blow my mind. Maybe after 6 months of working I will come back and adjust my review.
As for storage, I have just wetted the end like the directions said. There is an automatic calibration and so far it seems to be accurate.
I have not used storage solutions or anything... and I have checked a couple times to make sure it is still "in tune"... so maybe it does deserve a 5 star rating.
What else can I say. This device is awesome. It is compact, accurate and reliable. It is easy to use and maintain, and provides readings relatively fast.

My Steamboy wasn''t steaming as much and was acting like it was having difficulties steaming, therefore the floors were not being cleaned as well as they use to be. So I googled the problem and it said to replace the filter. I found the filter on Amazon at a good price and ordered it. It was shipped immediately and was received in excellent condition. I couldn''t wait to use my steamer again with the new filter, but the new filter did not change or fix my steamer problem. Not sure on what to do next. Can''t afford to buy a new steamer.Read Best Reviews of Reliable Replacement Filter For Steamboy T1 Here
I have owned this for over a year. Yes it does require some strength to use and the cloth head does get wet (it''s steam right) but I prefer it over a wring mop or sponge mop. I am impressed with how dirty the cloth head is after it is used and I like the idea of cleaning without chemicals. My sister has a similar steam mop but with a rectangular head instead of the triangular head which she says makes it harder to get in between some things.I have had this for over a year and my only problem was it hurt my hand keeping the handle depressed. I solved it by using a thick rubber band. Once I start it up, I let the rubber band keep the handle depressed and when I need to take a break, I slide it away. I usually go through two pads, the first one can get dirty. From time to time, I use another floor cleaner with a scrubber and soap but most of the time I am just thrilled to use this steam cleaner. Everything feels so clean afterwards. I just love how clean it feels with barefeet and it couldn''t be easier. I am about to replace the filter. Perhaps I should have replaced it already but I really wasn''t sure what to look for to indicate when it should be replaced. Maybe I missed that in the instructions.Samsung Aqua-Pure Plus Refrigerator Water Filter (DA29-00012B) Save 17% Off

So let me clear the air. This is a little like buying propane for your outdoor grill. The first time you purchase the propane, you''re also paying for the container, but once you have one, the cost goes drastically down.
The same is true of these sodastream cylinders. sure, that''s a lot of dough for co2, but the cost is so that you have a spare cylinder.
How it works is that you just take the empty cylinder to a dealer and they give you a new one with co2 and you leave your old one with them, which then gets refilled.
I drink nothing but seltzer water. If I don''t have seltzer water, coffee, wine, beer, or shoprite brand ginger ale, I don''t drink. If I was locked in a house with a water tap and nothing else I would die of dehydration.
so the initial cost of the machine and everything was 100. It came with a cylinder. The cylinder provided me, an admitted seltzaholic, with a month''s worth of seltzer.
before when I didn''t have this I would purchase about 12 bottles of seltzer a week. usually at about 60 cents per bottle. so let''s say about 6 bucks a week. so 24 in a month. one refill of this cost me 16 bucks. 8 dollar difference. no big deal, right? factor in not having to lug around a 12 pack of huge bottles, worrying about not finishing a bottle before the fizz ran out, having to buy it every week, the insane convenience of having it whenever I want it. it all rounds out.
bottom line: if you use a lot of seltzer, buy one more of these, and you''ll pay 16 dollars per cylinder per refill. don''t listen to the rest of these people. this thing is so insanely convenient.

While the general idea of this product is solid, consumers should understand that they are grossly overpaying for SodaStream carbon dioxide refills. In fact, the prices charged are sixteen times (16x) wholesale costs or many, many times more expensive than the prices a restaurant would pay. In Europe, frugal consumers are aware of such markups and actually purchase their own restaurant-sized CO2 refills. In the US, we aren''t so frugal.Other than the outrageous costs for the CO2 refills, there are other issues with the SodaStream Fountain Jet. One is the construction quality is quite low with very thin molded plastic and little weight. Additionally, the taste of generic soda flavors do not match that of the brand name products.
Below is the calculated cost per two liter for the output of SodaStream soda. This includes the cost of the consumables AND the equipment costs. I have used very generous assumptions, including a low discount rate (i.e. cost of money).
Transportation costs were not factored because 1) purchases of typical groceries should more or less overlap with soft drink purchases 2) grocery delivery has long been available in many areas 3) most people live closer to a grocery store than to a home furnishings store (I walk 100 ft. for groceries and drive one mile for BB&B) 4) the reverse logistics for the CO2 refills is an extra expense for the retailer that has to be factored into its profit margin and will ultimately be borne by the consumer.
One of the reasons Bed Bath & Beyond, Macy''s and Crate and Barrel choose to carry SodaStream is that they want the consumer to make MORE FREQUENT trips to their establishments for consumables. Instead of going to such establishments once every 3 to 6 months, customers will now visit once every 1 to 2 months. That makes an enormous difference for generating impulse purchases at such retailers. One could argue then that transportation costs could increase for the individual consumer.
Total Costs = $1.73 per Two Liter -More Expensive Than Retail

*****What does CO2 Really Cost????
THE MATH BELOW IS WHAT SODASTREAM DOESN''T WANT THE CONSUMER TO KNOW
*Restaurant Carbonation (note distributor prices, so there is still a distributor profit)
weight of CO2 contents of large restaurant CO2 tank: 50 lbs
weight in grams: 22,680 grams of CO2
cost to refill Summer 2011: $35
CO2 grams/liter of carbonated water: 7 grams
*Efficiency of Restaurant CO2 Carbonation

*SodaStream Markup Economics

SodaStream inflation price over restaurant pricing: 1534%
math: [y/x-x] to give increase over base case restaurant pricing
This is an incredible 1500% markup
Pros
Saves plastic
Allows flexible mixture of flavors
Cons
Cost of output is not compelling
Grossly inflated CO2 refill costs
Another store trip required for refills separate from grocery store visit
***Disclaimer: I am an investor who has used the product multiple times. At the time of this review, I did NOT have an investment in SodaStream either short or long. In the past, I have both owned the stock and shorted it (bet against it). I may be on either side of the trade by the time you read this -I am not very sentimental.

I have a soda stream panguin and love it. I went to a nearby Bed Bath & Beyond to buy an extra cartridge for the day when mine eventually goes empty. they are $29 there, I used their little 20% off coupon mailers and all told with tax and all I paid $26.23 for the cartridge. . . these $60, $70, $80 prices for the refills are insane! If you have a BBB near you, go there, if not call soda stream and ask about an authorized vendor. The new CO2 cartridge should only be about $30 and thats for the initial purchase, trading them in for refills drop the price down to about 15 bucks. If you live in an area where you can''t buy these locally at the normal price, and have no choice but to buy onine from these impossibly jacked up priced sellers, then Id reconsider buying a soda stream since the whole point is to save $ and when you pay 60 bucks for 60 liters of carbonation.... then it no longer makes fiscal sense.
good luck and good shopping, but Id stay away from this sellers pricing.

This is a total rip off. $89 is unreal for this product. Even Staples is selling the refill/exchange for $15 or $30 for a new canister without turning in your old one.We love our Sodastream and use it daily. Have bought them for my family members and they all love it as well.

The taste is a pretty standard purified water flavor, I have not tested it with bleach water "chlorine" but it is supposed to help dramatically.
The one thing to remember is that the filter only works on water that goes trough it your bottle needs to be rinsed to keep rust or other odors out of it.
This model is a squeeze suck style, again not hard to get used to if not familiar.
I highly recommend these and stock them I drink about 90% from them.
My filters are still going strong and I will try to update the review after the 2 months is over.
Price wise I think it is fair much better than buying water plus the waste factor makes them a very attractive product.Purchased these bottles for our 8-day cruise. They worked perfectly, and the water tasted great. The size was perfect for taking along on shore excursions. The cheap cap will be lost rather soon, but the top can be removed and washed easily. You would probably want to carry in a backpack or bag.

I spent weeks searching for the right bottle with filtration to help me meet my goal of drinking at least 80oz of water per day. This bundle pack is not only a great value, but allows me to take one bottle to work and keep one at home, with a spare for backup. With six filters, I can safely go just about 12 months without purchasing another thing. This is important, because I was spending a ton of money on brand name water and creating a lot of plastic waste. I was afraid to put the bottles in the washer, although the packaging perported the product to be dishwasher safe. I hand washed the bottles for a few weeks and then finally broke down and use the dishwasher with no negative results.Great product, great value, just don''t forget to squeeze the first bottle out on a new filter and you''ll have great tasting water for months to come.
