Ordered this item for my Aprilaire 700 Humidifier thinking it was the black strainer pictured (they may have removed this pic after my complaint) but it was the short, gold one that doesn''t fit.

I purchased this because the April Aire whole house humidifer I had purchased had no inline filter. This appears to be a size that may fit, but it is a metal, bronze colored materal rather than at plastic strainer seen in the photo. I''m not sure I can use it and i have not taken the time to return it yet.
