I am a drinking water plant manager. I decided to install this unit in my shower to prevent my hair from drying out from the chlorine in the water. After installation, it seemed that my hair was less dry, but I wanted to test to see if all the chlorine was removed from the water. After testing the tap and the filtered water, I found that this filter only removed approximately 0.5 ppm free chlorine. The tap water was 1.19 ppm and the filtered water was 0.74 ppm free chlorine. Also, I tested the total hardness and alkalinity of the filtered water. Neither the total hardness or the alkalinity changed significantly after filtration. So my conclusion is that: the filter only removes a portion of chlorine and it does not remove any minerals.

It seems that the 0.5 ppm removal of chlorine is enough to keep my hair from drying out, but I would not buy this product if you expect 100% removal of chlorine.

Let me start by saying I am a walking Wikipedia when it comes to water and water filtration. I know way more than most plumbers. I have owned Berkey, Doulton,Aquasanas and several other brands of filters. I have made my own filters as well. I grew with a salt type water softener too

Where we live now we rent and I am not putting in a whole house filter. This filter does every bit as good as an average 3 stage whole house filter! We have super hard water and it takes all the rust and sediment right out! It works GREAT with a hand held 1.5 GPM shower head too.

Our skin and hair is softer and cleaner. Our tub finally STAYS clean with no hard water spots. I am very very impressed with the quality and price.

I know some reviewers whine about installation. Do NOT listen to them. I had ZERO issues installing it. I used a pair of pliers and some white plumber''s tape. NO leaks or drips. You do have to adjust it a lil to get just where you want it but that''s ok. It does work very well with a hand held shower too.

This filter has really made my showers more enjoyable. There is no more chlorine smell and my water actually looks cleaner (it''s much more clear). My hair feels much softer, and putting shampoo in it is a lot less of a task. An unexpected benefit is that I have to clean my shower a lot less, now. There is a mush less scale build-up after showering since I''ve started using this filter.

As for the physical aspects, this filter is very sturdy. For anyone that''s hesitant about buying the cheap plastic version, for fear of it breaking, I strongly suggest that you give the chrome version a try. It seems sturdier than "regular plastic". I haven''t experienced any leaks while using this filter. I used the teflon tape, but it doesn''t seem to be necessary.

Also, the filter did negatively affect my water pressure a little, but that''s to be expected.

I purchased this filter at the same time I purchased a new shower head. I figured, two birds, one stone. Plus, this includes a small roll of Teflon tape, so I didn''t need to pick any up for this, or the new shower head. *Score!*

This filter unit is rather well built, and appears to be completely metal, except for the filter inside of the housing. Installation couldn''t be easier. I installed this filter and my new shower head in around fifteen minutes. The only design issue I found is the hand tightened nut. I believe that it should have been configure for a wrench. It''s difficult to tighten enough to keep the entire unit still when attaching a shower head to it. However, the filter seems to be working great. My wife and I both feel like our skin is not as dry and itchy. It must have been caused by the chlorine in our water. Also, the level of soap scum has dropped significantly since I installed this unit.

This is the second one I bought for another showerhead I decided to replace in my house. As expected, it takes away the bitter taste of the water and since it''s a filter, I expect that I won''t be cleaning the showerhead for buildup and other contaminants. A worthwhile investment in my opinion, especially since you can install your choice showerhead to it (recommended for showerheads and not moveable shower arms as the movement could break this...there is another model for moveable arms).

One small negative is that they tell you that you install without tools and twist the inlet by hand...it would drip small amounts of water. So I used a monkey plier to tighten it and it stops leaking (well there was one drop per 20 seconds, which eventually stopped on its own).

ERP1000-JG-S - Aquatec Permeate Pump 10-100 GPD

I had purchased one of these permeate pumps for my reverse osmosis system from Apec several years ago. The reason I purchased it was because I ran a PVC line outside to the back of my refrigerator to provide filtered water for my ice maker and drinking water on the front of the frig. However, when I did this, the water pressure was so low, it would take forever to get a glass of water. However, once I installed this pump into my system, it made an incredible difference in the amount of water pressure I was getting. So, I would highly recommend this pump to whoever might be having low water pressure from their R/O system. My first pump lasted about five years, so I purchased this replacement. The nice thing is that it works off of the water pressure itself, so there is no electricity needed to run it.

Let me start off by saying this permeate pump was supplied with my reverse osmosis system, I did not purchase it from Amazon. Over the last two years I have gone through 3 of these pumps. My first pump lasted 12months, the second about 5months, and I think my third pump is dying after only a few months. There really is only one way to install it, so it''s not like I messed up the installation. It''s a nice feature to have when its working properly and it definitely increased the amount and pressure of RO water produced...but these units just don''t last. I can only figure the good reviews are based on pumps that have not been installed very long. I tried to contact the manufacture but they didn''t reply. I''ve read better reviews with the ERP-500 but I won''t risk being burned again. My warrantee is over and I will not be purchasing a replacement from this company, I''m going to an electric booster pump by a different manufacture, I hope that will be the answer. I have 90 psi of water pressure in my home but somehow the pressure coming out of my reverse osmosis system is a bit low. Maybe cause I have it running under the floor and feeding the icemaker in the refrigerator also. Anyway... add this very well designed device to your system and you can get enough pressure to fill a 12 cup coffee carafe in just about 20 seconds or so (on my system anyway). 1/4" press-fit lines. It does make a "spitting" sound every so often but it isn''t bothersome (I have my system under the kitchen sink). The incredibly interesting thing about this device is that it is able to boost pressure in your Reverse Osmosis tank without any external power. Really... I would like to take it apart and see how the hell that is done!! This is my 2nd one. My first one lasted about 5 years. Since it does have some moving parts inside it -it will wear out.

Oh yeah... I searched the Internt and got it here because it was the best price I could find. Other places were $65 on upward and one well over $100! Good to shop around. 15 minutes to install.

I have no complaints about the reliability or performance of this unitit was very easy to install and best of all it requires no electricity.

I bought this pump on 6-28-2009 and its still going strong. I use it for drinking water, maintaining two 75gal aquariums and various houseplants, so I would say probably heavier than average usage. DEFINITELY a worthwhile upgradeoverall better pressure and the recovery rate is much faster, so I assume its also saving a ton of water.(never compared before and after...)

My only complaint would be it''s a bit noisy, so try to mount it on a solid surface(like concrete). Mine is mounted to a wood wall in the basement and the ''clicking'' noise is transmitted into the structure so you can hear it upstairs a little bit. It really doesn''t bother me, but I know some people are more sensitive.

Don''t even bother wasting the money on this replacement filter, when you can buy a really good KX Matrikx VOC 02-250-125-975 for about the same price. Or even better, the KX Matrikx PB1 06-250-125-975 NSF-certified 1 micron filter.

The seller page for this ispring combo filter does not state the micron size, but I''m assuming a 5 micron nominal, 20 micron absolute size (the page for the iSpring Counter top filter unit states 5 micron size [presumably nomimal] but does not disclose the absolute size). The GAC (granulated activated carbon) section in this combo filter is loose charcoal, you can hear it shaking around like a maraca, it''s not even packed full or padded with filter fiber to prevent this.

These iSpring combo filters come with iSpring''s under counter and counter top filter systems. It did not produce ANY reduction in total dissolved solids (TDS) from my tap water (using a brand-new, freshly calibrated with 342ppm calibration solution, high quality HM COM100 lab meter to verify my tests results.) My tap water rated at 65 ppm. After filtering through an iSpring counter top system using this filter, and the secondary 5-micron carbon block filter provided with the unit, the water rated at 65ppm! Zero reduction of tds. That says "ineffective" to me.

By comparison, a standard 2-stage PUR dispenser filter knocks off at least 20 ppm tds from the readings, resulting in 45ppm +/tds.

I have ordered a set of KX Matrikx filters to replace this set. I am hoping to see significant results and will post a review on their own pages when they arrive.

Bought this unit two months ago and it did fine--although not really adequate--for our open loft space of about 800 SF. On the plus side, it is convenient in that it vents through the window and is portable. However, having read other reviews it seems ours is not the monster cooling machine that some folks seem to have.

It did pretty well until we had our recent heat wave, at which point it kept giving the FL error message (need to empty water) and shutting itself off. According to the manual, this should not have to be done in AC mode, but we figured "hey, it''s a heat wave and really humid; makes sense, right?"

The first time this happened about a week ago, we emptied the water (not much of it) and it ran again for a few days before shutting off again. This progressed from shutting off every day, to every few hours, to its current status of shutting off immediately even though there is no water in it! It won''t run AT ALL.

We called LG and followed instructions again to reset, clean filters, vacuum any dust/pet hair (which was already done), to no avail. This was followed by removing the color and meticulously cleaning the entire interior to make sure there was no dust in there. As of right now, we have a service call set up to see if a pro can''t get it working again. Needless to say, this is super-frustrating because we''re suffering record-breaking heat.

I bought two of these for my 1000 square foot condo in Chicago because window units are not allowed. We just had the hottest summer I can remember, and our condo remained cool. This unit didn''t turn our apartment into a freezer, but it did keep it to about 75 degrees during 100 degree days. This unit is well made, except for the adjustable window mount, which is flimsy. The square footage recommendation is overstated, but I''m happy with my purchase.

Our two-story house became virtually uninhabitable due to the high heat, except for the basement. We have a good generator, so power wasn''t an issue as long as the A/C used 115 volts. Some units in this BTU range need 230 volts, which we didn''t have. We bought this unit from a local Home Depot.

Even though it''s pretty loud, we could watch TV with it running, with no problem. The operating sound is mostly the whooshing of air.

This design is excellent for emergency A/C use, or if the other types of A/C are impractical for the room. It exhausts hot air out the window that it sucks in through other household windows/doors i.e., a corresponding quantity of [warm] outside air is being pulled into the room you''re trying to cool, from other places in your house. Thus, this design is less efficient, electric-usage wise, than a window A/C unit; and far less efficient than a central A/C, or a ductless A/C.

The unit itself is 33" high, 18.5" wide, 14" deep, and it has to be about a foot out from the window to give the 6" flexible exhaust hose room to bend.

this unit is called "portable", which is technically valid since it''s on wheels. However, it has to be exhausted through a window after installing the supplied widow trim. That means it has to stay at the window where that trim is mounted. In other words, it''s not portable if it''s being used. The only time it will be rolled more than a few inches is when it''s not "installed". A truly portable unit could be rolled to, and used, anywhere there''s a 115 v receptacle.

LG includes variable-width trim to install at the bottom or side (on a slider) of a window, that the unit''s 6" exhaust hose plugs into. These plastic parts are pretty thin, so be careful they don''t crack. Screw it to the window frame to hold it in place if it is to stay there awhile. However, since an installation is only for a few days, duct tape can be used to hold it in place and seal the opening. After the emergency, just peel the duct tape off and remove the trim.

One end of the 6" exhaust hose snaps into the base unit and the other end snaps into that window trim. The ends of this hose are thin plastic and could be broken; so be careful.

One year warranty is fairly typical.

Summary:

If the above description meets your needs, this unit is probably comparable to any "portable" A/C in this BTU range.

This unit works well.....as long a it isn''t hot outside. It''s nothing more than a overpriced fan. I have it in a 200 sq ft room and it isn''t doing much of anything as far as cooling. Time for a refund and a real air conditioner.

I looked at some of the other reviews after I had already purchased the product and am somewhat displeased with the negative feedback on this unit.

To start off, I live in Texas, I awoke one morning to find that my 35000 BTU Window unit was acting up. I went down to my local home depot and purchased this unit, the price wasn''t bad comparable to the prices of other portable units I''ve seen in the past. Installation was quick and easy, except there is a bad design flaw in which the connector for the exhaust hose to the window frame is very short and doesn''t give much room before fattening out. Essentially has trouble locking in to the window frame because of the window sill, but that is for a vertical opening window, wouldn''t see having the problem with a horizontal opening window. I placed the unit in my living room so we could have a sanctuary from the heat until my window unit gets checked out, Its a little bit less than a 20x20 room but has 12ft ceilings. Has no problem making this room extremely comfortable, the auto swing feature helps to ensure even coverage of cool air in the room. Love not having to run a drainage hose and the window installation is rather quick, I moved it to my bedroom in about 10 mins. It does have an air intake but I don''t see much negative pressure being created as other reviewers have said nor does it pull warm or hot air from other areas. The heat from the exhaust outside is bearable and the hose isn''t hot to the touch after continual use. And in general a lot of reviews complain about BTU rating not being correct for most AC units, since having these tall ceilings I have had to learn to take that into account for square footage for the area to be cooled. I assume they are basing that most dwellings down have high ceiling and anyone with high ceilings or open loft areas need to take this into account. User error not Unit error :). Overall I am pleased with this product regardless of its very few minor flaws

I got my first Culligan faucet filter (FM 15) about 2 years ago after doing quite a bit of research. I finally chose the Culligan over Britta and Pur after reading Consumer Reports regarding their testing of water filters. The Culligan filtered out more impurities and the filter lasted MUCH longer than the others. Best of all it was cheaper back then, I don''t know if it still is.

I''ve been very pleased with the filter with one exception. At my old apartment I had great water pressure. I guess too great for the filter. After about 9 months of use the plastic casing started to leak. The good news is that Culligan warranties the filter so I just took it back to Sears (where I got that one) and they gave me a new one. Thus, I still give it a five even with the problem since they warranty it.

My town is currently going through upgrades to most of the water mains around my house. This has caused our water to take on a horrible chlorine like smell and sour taste. The water department told us that it is just the residual ......(they never explained what the residual is!!) and that the smell and taste would be gne within a few days. After a full week and living off of bottled water, I decided to give this faucet water filter a try due to its low price.

I got the filter and had it installed in under 30 seconds. For me, that is huge as I am petrified of anything plumbing related. For anyone with modern plumbing this filter just screws on to your existing faucet with no tools necessary. If you have an older faucet, this comes with multiple attachments that are supposed to fit most other connections. I can''t comment on that as mine went on without needeing them.

Once it is installed you need to run the water for about 10 minutes or so to completely clean out the filter and then you are ready to go. To activate the filter you need to pull out the metal tab. Once the water is shut off, the tab automatically returns to its closed position so the filter is shut off. The water will automatically run through the normal faucet until you pull the tab agin for filtered water.

After my filter was "cleaned" I filled to glasses with water. One from the unfiltered tap and one from the filter. The unfiltered water had the horrible chlorine smell and sour taste(and waht appeared to be a lot of sediments). The filtered water had zero smell, no sediments and tasted, well...didn''t really have a taste at all. Just plain water which is what I expect from my water!

So far, I am very happy with this filter. I will post back once I need to change out the filter (2 months or 200 gallons) to give an update if I have any problems. But for now, the price can''t be beat to get great tasting and clean water from my tap. And I am happy I don''t have to spend $1 or more per gallon for water at the market which, in my opinion, is no better than most tap water.

After a full two months of use I can say that my initial impressions have not changed. The water filter has continued to operate as expected and I find myself drinking more water than in the past due to the clean taste.

My only issue is with replacement cartridges. The only place I can find them is here on Amazon. Problem is that the seller has them listed for $9.50 or so plus $7.50 for shipping bringing the total cost to $17.00 (or my original purchase price of the unit itself. The listing only states one filter so the cost to replace a filter is the same as buying an entire unit.

Amazon recently reduced the price of the whole unit to $14 and change. Because of this, I find it cheaper to just buy the entire unit rather than just the filter. I get free shipping from Amazon so I ended up buying two more units. Hopefully the filters will become available through Amazon (as the seller) so we are not hit with shipping charges that are almost as much as the filter itself. Otherwise, I will end up with a ton of leftover parts!

This is a tiny filter that''s super-easy to install and use, and doesn''t get in the way of using your faucet for washing dishes, etc. I like that its default mode is unfiltered the filter toggle is held on by water pressure, so when you turn off the tap, the filter turns off too this means you don''t end up using filtered water when you don''t need to. However, the taste of the water is really not as nice as the previous Pur filter I used.

I have no complaints about the construction or operation of the filter. It''s one of the nicer faucet-mounted filters there are, with a very nice solid feel of quality. However, I did experience what some of the other reviewers mentioned: after a short while the filter didn''t appear to have any affect on the taste of the water.

The problem, I discovered, is that if you run the water through the filter too quickly (by opening up the tap all the way) the charcoal filter just can''t do its job. As a rule of thumb, only allow enough flow through the filter so that it takes about 15 seconds to fill up a glass of water, and you''ll have great tasting water. So, if you have high water pressure, make sure you don''t open of the faucet all the way when filling a glass. There''s just no way a filter as small as this can do its job properly at the max flow rate of most faucets. You really need a large in-line filter for that.

Note that this only applies to the filter''s odor and taste removal properties, because this involves a chemical reaction of sorts where activated charcoal pulls chlorine (and other chemical) out of the water by binding to them. This is a completely different mechanism than what you normally associate with filtering, such as particles being caught in a mesh (which is essentially how the rest of the filter works in these, and so it''s really only the odor and taste that is affected by the rate at which you let water through the Culligan).

I love my Cuisinart Fully Automatic Burr Grind and Brew Thermal Coffeemaker, Model DGB-900BC, except for one thing, the thermal carafe. You see, it dribbles unless you pour it soooo slowly you practically fall asleep. While visiting a friend who bought the exact same model on my recommendation, I noticed that her carafe didn''t dribble. I discovered the design of her pour spout was different and it made all the difference, so to Amazon.com I went where I found a new replacement carafe for a great price. As usual, the transaction was handled professionally and the item arrived on time, however, it was the exact same item I was trying to upgrade so I returned it. Now, here''s where Amazon shines: I received a prompt and no-hassle refund of the entire amount, including shipping costs. You can''t ask for more than that. After some further research, I found a new item number and was able to upgrade my coffeemaker with the improved carafe, but if you''re out there looking, here''s what you need to know: 12 Cup Thermal Carafes for the Cuisinart DGB-900BC and DCC-2400 come in two varieties: 1) The "Dribble" Carafe Item #DCC-2400RC and 2) The "Happy Java" Carafe Item #DCC-2400CRF. For a really good cup of coffee, I recommend the latter.

2/20/2012 UPDATE: Upon further research, and after reading responses to the above review, I believe I have discovered the real cause of the carafe dribble. The rubber gasket that is seated around the shaft below the lid assembly, and provides the seal between the carafe and the lid, is subject to jamming and causes the leak. By applying a thin film of vegetable oil to that gasket, and therefore reducing resistance (I use a drop of olive oil on my index finger), you will notice the lid closes more smoothly and the leak disappears. I have not experienced a single drip since discovering this remedy, and periodic re-oiling, whenever resistance returns, will maintain the tight seal. Now, I still prefer the newer carafe design, because it pours faster, but the dribble is not a function of the earlier design, rather the jamming of the gasket surrounding the lid.

I purchased this carafe after getting tired of buying glass carafe for $24.00. I figure if it is made of metal, my wife can''t break it. The problem was that the 12 cup insulated carafe is to large to fit in the cuisinart 1200 coffee maker i own. But i went to a store and found that he 10 cup does fit.

At least five hours after the warmer goes off and still hot; my dream of a coffee pot. This beautiful looking pot replaced the glass one that came with the coffee maker. It keeps the coffee hot for most of the day, and warm into the evening, long after most would be looking for a fresh brew. But I''m one that can enjoy "aged" coffee on a busy day, so I am very pleased with this product. Looks great, exceeded my expectations, and won''t break should it get dropped (perish the thought). Double the price of the glass one, but much more than twice the value, I believe.

This is a lovely thermal carafe, but be sure to check whether it will fit on your coffeemaker. I bought it to go with my Cuisinart CHW-12 12 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker with Hot Water System because it was in the "people who bought this also bought this" section. The carafe is much too big to put on the coffeemaker, so I can''t have coffee made directly into the carafe as I''d hoped.

Soleus Air DP1-30-03, 30 Pint Portable Energy Star Dehumidifier Save 29% Off

I received this unit yesterday so this is a preliminary assessment. The reason why I needed a dehumidifier is the one that we have in our basement is literally 20 years old. It''s so old, it doesn''t have a piece of plastic on it but it refuses to die. While I didn''t test the old unit for electrical draw, my monthly electric bills are too high. I unplugged/put on a timer every appliance that I thought could contribute and it came back down to my belief that my old dehumidifier is an energy hog.

Our basement is HUGE but I still only bought the 30 pint unit because I''d rather run a small unit more often than cycle a larger unit. Same concept as a house air conditioner and a dehumidifier is a miniature air conditioner. Besides, I''d need the Mother of All Dehumidifiers to completely dry the basement and that''s not going to happen.

Even though the old unit had just been running before I installed the Soleus, the new hstat read 70%. I don''t really care if that''s accurate or not, the basement just smelled damp. I installed a drip hose to run into the laundry tub, set the hstat to 55% and went to bed. This morning, it''s definitely drier but I didn''t bother to check the hstat. I assume the unit ran all night.

The impressive point is that I used the same drain hose on both dehumidifiers and, subjectively, the Soleus is draining a LOT more water than the old unit. Plus it is VERY quiet.

Once I get the feel of the hstat sensitivity, then I ''ll set it and forget it so I can assess the energy usage. I know that I could buy an energy meter but I''ll just save the $50.

The unit is also light which is important because I put the unit midway up the wall on a shelf (to drain into the tub). The supplied wheels should move very well on carpets but mine is static. BTW, based on my own reading, the Energy Star rating means very little but it''s better to buy an appliance with the sticker.

I''ve updated this since I''ve used the system for a few months. Previously, I was wrong in saying the blower stays on constantly when the dehumidifier isn''t running. Not true, don''t know where I got that. All I can say is....dagnabbit but this does pull a lot of water from the air, and it uses less electricity than my old one.

One year later and I''m at the point where I just leave it on. Works extremely well and I''m very satisfied.

It will soon be two years of nearly constant use (at least during the air conditioning season) and it performs just as well as when I first wrote this review.

Yup, two years now and it has been running perfectly. Good investment.

I received this dehumidifier a few weeks ago for use in my basement apartment that had gotten damp with all the rain this summer. It has been running non-stop since. It works great! I have been rotating it around the apartment into different rooms that need to dry out and it quickly fills up with water after a few hours beeps and I empty the bucket. the only drawback is that is does give off a lot of heat, which I guess all dehumidifiers do, but I still gave it 5 stars!

this little wonder does a great job. I use it in my 20x40 man cave and it keeps it very dry. It is a little noisy for my taste and when we are occupying it I usually shut it down becuase of the fan noise. Also if it is running the room temperature rises a few degrees over the week. We like it when its 67-68 degrees and if it is on all week the temperature stays around 71. I attached a garden hose to it and it has worked flawlessly over last month.

I use this unit in the garage to reduce humidity (obviously). I wouldn''t want it in the living room or bedroom, it''s pretty loud when running. It''s an Energy Star unit but the difference in my electric bill during peak usage over the winter was easily noticable. But I have never used another one, so I can''t really compare. It has withstood lots of usage since I bought it several months ago. It is simple as possible to use. I filled up the 30-pint bucket many, many times. Usually during the rainy season (Seattle, so that''s about 8 months out of the year!) if I used it several hours a day it would fill up over just a day or two. So it really does the trick in pulling moisture out of the air. It wheels around, which is nice, even though it isn''t that heavy for me it might be for certain people.

We researched many dehumidifiers and bought this one. Stupidly, we bought it from Newegg which won''t accept a return like Amazon would. THis unit is nice looking, and seemed to meet our needs. There are two main problems:

1. The humidistat does not detect the humidity correctly, the machine thinks it is 50% humidity at all times, even when our tried-and-true meter says 20%. The result is that this unit runs constantly.

2. The collection bucket is way too small. We have to empty it twice a day. This may not be as big of a problem except for #1.

We have not contacted Soleus yet, because it will cost us $40 to ship it back to them for a replacement unit.

Would not buy again.

FAST FILL, and I go through a LOT of water each day. It fills in just a minute or so instead of the seemingly interminable wait like with Brita and some others, so it is easy to keep up with your daily water demands. I live in a place where the local drinking water leaves much to be desired. I think the water which Clear-2-O provides is as good or better than the store-sold bottled waters, and it''s just a penny or so per bottle instead of a DOLLAR! A DOLLAR??? HELLO! It''s just WATER! I haven''t used anything different in my Essick Humidifier (which is by far the best humidifier I''ve ever owned -definitely worth the $80 I paid for it), and I think these filters work swell.

To make them last:

-add a cap of liquid bacteria treatment (buy this in a hardware store for cheap) to the base of the humidifier every other week

-soak the filters in warm vinegar water once monthly (they will retain a slight vinegar smell for a day, but that quickly fades)

I typically get 4 months use out of the filters before I replace them. With the effort I put into keeping them clean I likely could use them longer, but the mineral stains make me think they''re dirty.

I haven''t been able to locate these filters in local stores (and trust me when I tell you I''ve searched all over Denver!), so I tend to order in bulk off from Amazon once a year and keep a supply of them in the closet.

The filters were well priced, exactly as advertised, delivered with lightning speed, and made that humidifier work like new. You can''t ask for much more than that!

Spent way too much time researching these and was very excited to get this one. The purpose for me was to have cleaner water to wash my hair and body with in the shower. It was a bit bulky which I assumed, but the water flow actually hurt and I looked into it and there was no way to adjust this. I never returned it and am just out the money now. Works great, but the only thing is that I was hoping there was a resistor with an allowance of more that 2 gallons per min. If that is not put in during installation then watch out, its a jet of water coming out at mach 4. Seems to be much better quality water though and when I have to air dry a bit, im not itchy. originally i set out to look for the best deal on a shower filter or shower heads in the past i had a filter that went between the shower head the replacements were 100 dollars and lasted a year wile trying to replace the filter the plastic case that help the filter broke making the filter useless on research I found that this was a constant problem and about 70% of people who bought plastic shower filter or shower heads had similar problems
