Jura Impressa Z7 One-Touch Automatic Coffee Center Save 3% Off

Jura Impressa Z7 One-Touch Automatic Coffee CenterI previously owned the S8 for about 7 years and after it broke, I decided to upgrade. I love the way Jura will repair a broken super automatic for 275.00 including round trip shipping no matter what the problem but I still wanted a newer model. I did a great deal of research on superautomatics and even bought a Saeco Xelsis. Unfortunately I had to return it as the latte temp never got above 120 degrees despite calling Saeco and working with their support line. I then bought a Jura Z7 as the manual stated that the milk could be heated up to 159 degrees and the espresso/ coffee up to 197 degrees. I love hot coffee/latte. After trying out the Xelsis, I wanted to buy a sure thing that I knew would make me happy. However, the milk at first came out about 130-140 degrees. It took three calls to Jura to figure out how to get the milk to the temp to what they advertise. One helpful person told me to pinch the tubing exiting the milk container before it enters the machine. This slows the stream of milk and increases its exposure to the heating elements but who wants to spend 3 grand on a machine and have to jury with it to get the milk hot enough. Finally, I was told of two things to do to get the milk temp up and how to keep the temp up in the cup. First, when putting the empty cup under the cappucino spout, press the milk button while the cappucino dial is set on steam water. This will spray very hot steam out of the cappucino spout into the cup. This heats up the tubing in the machine and heats up the cup. The third and most important thing is to align the notch in the cappucino spout dial on the border between the steam water icon and the steam milk icon. After flow begins, turn the dial counter-clockwise until the notch is actually into the steam water section but not so far that it stops the milk flow. By doing this I was able to get my milk temps up to the 180s (checking the temps as the milk exits the spout and before it hits the cup). NOW, I could not be happier with the taste AND and the temp of my lattes. Go Jura!!!

I don''t write many reviews, but just this week, we decided to call it quits with our 4 year old Jura, which was about as expensive as the one Amazon is selling. During long stretches, the coffee was great, as was the frother. But during the 4 years, we had to ship it back to Jura for repairs 5 times, and every time, it was for the same problem. According to Jura''s customer service agent, "an air bubble gets trapped in the line and the machine must be disassembled to fix it." Last time, I got pretty annoyed, and the service guy told me quietly that lots of machines have to be serviced more than once for the same reason..For Hello? How about manufacturing a new part, or finding some other way to deal with this design defect? Nope. Instead, it was better for them to keep fixing the machines. After the warranty ended, the cost of the repair, plus professional packing, shipping and insurance was about $300 each trip,

Jura makes beautiful machines, but I"m not going to buy another one. The company doesn''t care about its customers once they get your money.

Bought this capuccino maker about 7 months ago, so we know it well. The initial rationale was that we would save 8 dollars a day and countless wait time both of us stopping at starbucks every day. That has happened. I have been to starbucks twice since I bought this. It makes a pretty good cappuccino, I would say is on par with starbucks, my gold standard. The coffee setting tastes different, since it is really a cup of watered down espresso, but you aren''t buying this to brew coffee.

In spite of having the tallest spout on the market (at least at the time of my purchase), I still cannot fit my travel mug under it. You know the stainless steel, 16 oz mug you would want to fill up giving you a vente latte on the way out the door. Maybe they dont use these travel mugs in Switzerland, but we all do here... (In fact, I had to build my own wooden holder that holds a tilted travel mug under the spout.)

Well not only does the standard version of such mug not actually fit, (most are about .5 to 1 cm off), it brings up my second point, its almost hot enough. Well if you have prewarmed your cup in the microwave, and sat down to sip you cappuccino right then, the temperature will be a barely "ok". But if you are used to ordering your starbucks extra hot, your definately going to be found wanting. And if you have to dispense your drink into a cup, and then transfer your drink to your tall travel mug because it wont fit, your really going to be dissapointed in the temperature.

A few other gripes: the thing will only stay on 2 hours, IE it will always turn off, kudos to their green power saving. Problem is, it takes a solid 3 minutes or so to warm up. Then each type of drink you make only contains one shot of espresso. If you want 8 oz of milk with three shots of espresso, you have to turn it on, stand there for 3 minutes for it warm up, then push a button to put an 8 oz cappuccino in, wait another 2 or 3 minutes, then push the button for another shot of espresso, another 1-2 min, then push for another shot of espresso in, another 1-2 moinutes. Does that sound "one touch" to you? For me, it is stading next to a machine for 10 minutes, which is exactly what I am supposed to not have to do. (Not to mention, in the middle of all this you might run out of water, need to empty the tray, or add beans. The chances of one of these lottery wins in your 3 button oddessey are probably 25%)

What this machine needs are:

Taller spout

The milk needs a temperature setting, its not hot enough for me.

The machine needs a timer, so it can turn on in the morning and warm up.

Programmable drinks with multiple shots.

Larger bean bin, it probly cooks up only a dozen shots or so per bin.

For three grand, these things should be a given!

There are so many problems with this product I scarcely know where to start. The first sign of trouble is the manual: it is all but incomprehensible and only describes some of the maintenance required to keep the unit functioning. In other words, after diligently completing all the maintenance requested by the manual, the unit would still break down every couple of months; when I''d call customer service, I''d learn that far more maintenance is needed if you want to keep the unit functioning for long. Unfortunately, experience has taught me that even the most extensive maintenance will only delay but not prevent the unit from breaking down.

The need for endless maintenance is annoying since the main advantage of the unit is its ostensible convenience: in other words, it is true that you can make a cappuccino with one touch -but what they don''t tell you is that after that one touch you''ll need to complete half a dozen or a dozen steps before making another one. This obviously isn''t very convenient, nor is it inexpensive: I''ve spent countless hours and hundreds of dollars on cleaning fluids, cleaning tablets, filters, and decalcifying tablets in an attempt to keep it functioning, but all this has only delayed the inevitable breakdown.

And this is where things get ugly: after the unit failed completely recently, I contacted Capresso and was told I could get the unit repaired for a $300 fee. I sent the unit in, and to their credit, it was returned promptly; unfortunately, I could see no evidence that the unit had actually been repaired: when I started it up and filled it with water, the unit proceeded to dump the water all over the counter. I thus contacted Capresso and asked them to send out shipping labels so I could return the unit and have them correct the repair. I received no response. After waiting three business days, I asked again; still no response. After waiting three more days, I let them know that I had contacted my credit card and would be refusing the charges until such time as the unit was actually repaired; within the hour I received an email apologizing and letting me know that the customer service manager was out of the office and would return the next day. I thus waited three more days but never heard anything from the customer service manager. I then wrote to the company president asking him to intercede and address the problem: after a month, I still haven''t heard anything from him.

But the extraordinary inability to provide even the most basic level of customer service isn''t my main complaint with the product: my main complaint is that it doesn''t make very good espresso. I say this, not because I consider myself an expert when it comes to evaluating espresso, but because the unit simply does not work with pre-ground espresso. In other words, I''ve tried pre-ground espresso from each and every brand I can find; they all cause the unit to clog and thus leak. Worse, when I called to ask about this, I was told it was "normal" and that I would need to use the grinder instead. At that time, I didn''t realize that if the unit couldn''t process pre-ground espresso, then it presumably wasn''t grinding the beans to the same level of fineness as pre-ground espresso. As a result, what Capresso calls espresso is quite different from what I''m used to: its quite thin and watery and I''ve never found a way to make it any thicker. If you''re a fan of espresso, I''d encourage you to find the unit in a store and see if their version of espresso is to your liking. Of course, this may prove hard to do: Williams-Sonoma no longer carries Capresso products, and I''m not sure if you''ll be able to find anyone who still does. Given my experience with both their customer service and the quality of the products offered by Capresso, I''m sorry to say I simply don''t find this surprising.

We purchased this machine in May 2012 for use in a small office. We probably make 2 or 3 cups of cappuccinos and an espresso each day. The original machine started giving an error message to "add beans" even though the bin was full of beans about 4 weeks after purchase. We were told to remove all the beans and `air out'' the machine because there might be an oil build up (oil from the beans). We scooped out the beans and let it `air out'' over the weekend and it still didn''t work on Monday. I called customer service again and did everything they told me to do but it still didn''t work. So we shipped back the machine and they shipped us a new Z7. After about 4 weeks the 2nd machine stopped making froth for the cappuccino. Customer service told us that it could be the froth dial. We could not use the machine but they sent us a new froth dial and it worked. 8 weeks later, here we go again we''re getting a "add beans" message on the 2nd machine. To make matters worse, even the hot water sprout stopped working so we can''t even make a cup of tea. The machine does nothing. We called Customer Service and were told, AGAIN, to remove all the beans and `air out'' the machine because there might be an oil build up, etc. We scooped out the beans and let it `air out'' over the weekend and it still hasn''t worked for 5 days. This time because we''ve had the machine for over 3 months JURA won''t send a replacement. We have to find a box and ship the 2nd machine back to them. JURA doesn''t even pay for UPS to pick-up the machine they send a receipt but you have to carry the machine to a UPS drop off location. I have a bad back and the machine weights approximately 40 pounds packed this is inconvenient and is a big deal to me. It''s too late to get our money back so we are stuck with the JURA Z7 but we are not pleased with it at all. I would NOT purchase this machine again ever. For $3,000 I expect a machine that works for more than 4 weeks before needing to be repaired. Do not purchase if you want a machine that works.

Kitchenaid 4.5 Inch Santoku Knife Red Handle Save 51% Off

Kitchenaid 4.5 Inch Santoku Knife Red HandleVery good for chopping. Keeps a nice edge. Handle is somewhat slender, especially for a male user. Would prefer this knife in 5 1/2 inches and a very thin, hard blade. Am wondering if there is a 5 1/2 inch standard knife available and if it has a more slender blade than the Santoku. Used such a blade when vacationing in Hilton Head, staying in a condo.

I choose this rating because this knife is very durable and sharp. A quality WHICH I expected from kitchenaid and they did not disappoint.

This does a pretty good job of removing lime scale and soap scum. I will probably purchase it again. One star off because it doesn''t remove ALL the hard water residue. Maybe that''s not fair since I didn''t want something so strong that it would eat through my skin.

Crystal Quest Chrome Handheld Shower Water Filter (Chrome)

Crystal Quest Chrome Handheld Shower Water Filter
  • CQE-SP-00805

I grew up in New York and absolutely never gave a second thought to the quality of our water. My hair was always soft, manageable, and shiny. Then I moved to the midwest where I found the hardest water in the U.S. It clanks as it comes out of the tap. You have to use a chisel to remove the residue from your counters. It leaves my hair dirty-looking, stringy, dull, and flat. Water softeners don''t do a thing to help. Even moving to a neighborhood with so-called "city water" is no improvement.

I tried every type of shampoo and conditioner, tried rinsing my hair in rainwater I collected in a barrel (that worked a bit though it can be quite a shock in the winter), and concocted a vinegar rinse. Finally, I purchased the Crystal Quest with its super-duper filter. Not only is my hair soft and manageable again, but my skin feels much better, too. It was easy to install and works great. If you live in an area with hard water, treat yourself and get one of these handheld showers!

I live in Chicago, where the city water is hard. I purchased this showerhead with some reservations because of the previous reviews. So, far, I am very pleased with the product. The showerhead does give you increased water pressure, resulting in a more powerful and cleaner shower experience. LESS RESIDUE!! My skin, scalp and hair is less dryer than before! The installation process was easy and quick, no dripping or leaks. The filter seems to work great, you do have to reverse the filter on occasion. This product is mostly affordable, due to the long filter life (up to one year). One negative, the showerhead only has 3 or 4 water settings, most have 5 settings in this price range.

This is the best hand-held shower head I have head so far. The filter is great, my skin is smoother, and my hair much much softer. Whenever I take a shower at the gym now with unfiltered water, I feel the difference. The chrome is beautiful! No more chlorine smell and now with the hand-held I can wash my hair without getting in the bathtub, nice!!!

My hair is softer. Is it the new shampoo I used or the filtered water? My hair is so soft that I cannot help playing with it.

My husband has extreme dry skin. He put cream over all in the morning, by evening he''s suffering from the itchy dry skin again. So bad that I wish he could put cream on during the day. Now, he does not need to put extra cream in the evening!

There was no way to make this shower head stop leaking and leaking badly. It had a funny looking head and it had little water pressure.I replaced it with one that was cheaper and easier to install and has never leaked. I also find the company and its associates to be disreputable. They promised me my return shipping because they didn''t origionally send what I had ordered. But, after having fun at my expense and doing what I could to resolve the situation I was left with them owing me money. I do not recommend this product or this company.

  • Removes up to 99-Percent of chlorine and 90-Percent of sediment, rust, silt, etc. at 1 GPM
  • Filter capacity of 3,000-Gallon

You can see a difference when you compare a glass with normal tap water and then water run through this filter. Also, after the water evaporates out of the glass, you can see a lot of sediment that is leftover in the glass that had tap water in it. This filter system is very durable and a must-buy for any person conscious about the water that they are consuming. I don''t like the taste of other water after using this small boy.

However Hydro Galaxy sold me an used(probably a customer return) filter!!! This is unacceptable!!! The filter and package came with residual water from last user and I don''t feel safe to use it. I demanded a refund and bought it from somewhere else. I''ll report issue to Amazon as this is a seriously safety issue.

This filter improves the taste of hard water, and eliminates larger particles which can clog lines. The small hose which comes with the unit is very short, but can be used if a ground mounted holding bracket is not used, and the filter is allowed to hang from the hose. Otherwise, a longer lenth of hose would need to be purchased.

Purchased this on a recomendation from my brother-in-law. Had used Camco Taste Pure for over 4 years with no issues. Hooked this up the first time and it worked fine. Put it back in our trailer storage compartment and the very next day, at our next RV Park, went to get it out and the hose connection on one side of the holder had broken completly off. Now useless to us. Fortunately had a backup Camco Taste Pure and the rest of the trip (4 weeks)no problems. Perhaps I should have been more careful in placing this Culligan unit back in my trailer storage area...but never had this happen with Camco Taste Pure. So am going to give my brother-in-law my two extra Culligan cartridges to him for Christmas!!!

June 7 UPDATE

Contacted Culligan after we returned from our trip and explained the broken hose connection. They apologized and are sending replacement hose connection parts to me free of charge. So I am now, as they say, "A much happier camper!" Darn, now I will have to find another Christmas present for my brother-in-law!!!

Shop-vac 906-87-19 Universal Tool Adapter Save 24% Off

Shop-vac 906-87-19 Universal Tool AdapterI knew I was guessing as I could not find the exact measurements for this adapter''s capacities. I am research oriented and checked multiple websites, product listings and reviews to try to learn the sizes offered by this unit. I could not find them given anywhere so I bought this with fingers crossed.

Here are the measurements of the adapter by Shop Vac 90687. OD are 2.5" 2.0" 1.5" 1.25" and 1.0". (Most manufacturers cite the OD ((Outer diameter)) when listing a measurement).

The measurements for the inner diameter were 2.3" 1.5" 1.25" 1.0" and .75". By the way, the overall length before you cut it down at all is 6.75". I cut off the last 2 smaller sections and the length was reduced to 4.35". Either length may not work for your needs if space is tight.

Ultimately this unit did not work out for my application. Now that you have the measurements posted, I hope this helps some of you as it is going to work if your requirements align. I will keep mine since I cut it to measure and hope to use it on something in the future.

I have used a couple of these devices to connect the dust port on tools to vacume hose. Funny how there are standard sizes of dust collection and vacume hoses, but every tool seems to have a dust collection port that is in some odd size. Nothing fits. This adaptor gets in between the odd sizes of tools and standard size of hose. You can easily trim this adaptor to fit either an inside diameter or outside diameter of the adaptor. Like I have said before, it does what it says it will do.

Buy Shop-vac 906-87-19 Universal Tool Adapter Now

I''ve tried several step adaptors, but this Shop-Vac 9068700 universal tool adapter has worked most often. I''m now back to purchase two or three more.

This adaptor fits over (or replaces) a 2 1/2-inch exhaust port and can be cut, stretched, or clamped to fit nearly any vacuum cleaner hose between 5/8-inch to just over 2-inches. The rubber-like material can be stretched (occasionally with some effort) to fit tight connections. I''ve even fit this over exhaust ports the same size. Soap with a little water (and rubber gloves to improve grip) can help with really tight connections. Loose connections can be secured wih hose clamps. Hoses can fit either inside and over the various incremental sections. Unused sections can be cut away with a razor knife (box cutter, etc) or power tool (bandsaw, etc).

In one application, I replaced a bolt-on exhaust port with this adaptor (that''s what the four screw holes are for) and then cut the oppposite end to fit my vacuum hose. With other applications, the large ends were simply slipped over existing exhaust ports, with the opposite ends again cut to fit my vacuum hose. Finally, several were used to add exhaust ports to home-built projects (downdraft table, etc).

This adapter may not impress others or attract girlfriends, but it often does wonders with vacuum cleaner hose connections.

FYI this will not work with Ryobi tablesaws which have an exit tube exactly the same diameter as the large end.

This should be called the nearly universal vacuum adapter

A plea: Ryobi, ridgid, husky and anyone else making tools and shop vacs. Please make a frickin standard size and include relevant adapters with your tools, particularly a male to male and female to female. I''m tired of running back and forth to buy adapters all the time and then having to make my own with plumbing parts, string, jello and duct tape.

AirTamer® Ultra High Efficiency Air Purifier Save 14% Off

AirTamer® Ultra High Efficiency Air Purifier w/Ultra High Performance Pleated FilterThis machine is well designed. Easy to use. I would say maybe a bit louder than some of the others on the market; however if you look closely some of the others don''t cover pets. Yes, pets. I noticed that a lot of them would filter cat dander. Also, I wanted something that would address specifically mold. This does the trick. I can tell the house is cleaner and have had guest comment that the house doesn''t smell like musty dog anymore (though I didn''t know it did).

As I said, it''s well designed with many things in mind. I''m rather keen on the fact that the lights on the device has 16 different light settings. I turned off the lights since I''m very light sensitive.

There is also the option to use other filters and not be tied into buying their filers only. Great savings in filers and energy.

What I was looking for: consumer report friendly, somewhat portable/sleek design, dog dander, mold, and energy. (dont'' forget the energy cost it can be way more than the filter cost)

Great buy! Considering buying another one for the bedroom.

You don''t want to use ionizer or ozone producing machine. Please read EPA official statements based on scientific studies. Ozone can cause shortness of breath or may have long term effect on your lungs.

Yes, this machine is using 16 x 20 x 2 pleated filter with a high rated MERV 16 that is good for a year. MERV 11 is being considered the best while MERV 8 is the standard for both residential and commercial, so MERV 16 is superior as ultra allergen. In addition, it included another layer of antibacterial black filter(there were 3 included in the package) against virus and molds, in case you need it on top of the ultra allergen white filter.

My furnace is currently using 3M 16 x 20 x 1 filter with 1000 MPR equivalent to MERV11. So this one is an extra purifier to consider the people coming in and out the door.

The original MERV 16 filter is expensive at $80 to buy a replacement after a year. But the advantage of this machine is I can use an alternative filter (furnace filter) of the same size. I have found 16 x 20 x 2 pleated filter at Amazon with MERV 11 by Midwest for $54 with 6 filters in the pack.

The lowest speed at 1 is quite. The design is very simple which is practically just about to enclose the size of the filter. The electrical plug is 100-240 volts so it can be used in any country but the advantage is the low wattage of electricity.

The system came with a european plug! I called the customer service line and the rep. was very polite said he would get a correct tail out to me ASAP. Some mistake on the factory/shipping end. Had it set up quick and running. ONE hour later after leaving it in a closed room the scent of the room was gone and the air just felt cleaner. My son said after a week that he no longer woke up with stuffy sinuses and thanked me for getting it!! (he is 5!) I have one in my room and now I''m considering one for the livingroom too! Do the research, I did and this is a winner!! I did add the carbon antimicrobial filter that is used on the A710 to the included filter for the A600. Worth the added cost!! You can see the evidence on the filter that it is working!

The cover falls off everytime you try to pour a glass of water. My old Brita with the missing spout cap is still a better option. With this filter there is only 1/8 inch lip of plastic that fits into the inner holding tank and butts up against it so that the front and back cannot both be all the way down at the same time. My old Brita had a 3/8 inch lip that fit inside the inner holding tank and never fell off.

Brita has taken a step backwards with this product. The design is flawed.

I had two other Brita pitchers, and lost one of them. I ordered this one, because of the small compact size. The size is perfect. There is one design flaw when I pour, the inside compartment pops out. The carafe design, however, is horrible. Whether filling the water reservoir or filling the cup, it leaks all the time unless you pour at a dribble rate (for the 1st cup of coffee in the morning? Come on!!!). About 1 cup of water seems to run over the counter when filling the reservoir. This seems to be a function of the narrow width of the spout. Should be an easy fix.

Also, the carafe design always seems to leave about 1/2 cup of water in the carafe when filling the reservoir until you practically turn the carafe upside down.

as another reviewer said i bought this despite the reviews thinking that people were being fussy. unfortunately the machine has issues that most people will find annoying. that said, if you play around a bit, you can get a great cup of coffee. issues:

1) manual is a joke. not consumer friendly. not helpful. bare bones.

2) carafe is terrible. all the comments about difficulty of pouring are accurate. to pour without spilling, you need to do it at a trickle. carafe also does not keep coffee hot for very long.

3)i''m finding the grinder to be a little fussy.. if you don''t move beans around with your finger then they may not go into the grinder. there are moments you hear the grinder going but nothing being ground.

4) for some reason the "check basket" light comes on automatically before every use.

all of this is aggravated by saeco usa customer service being non-existent. emails are not returned. web messages are not answered. no live phone reps and messages are not returned. between this and the manual, i have to say saeco has no sense of being customer focused or friendly.

tips for getting a good cup of coffee:

1) use a very find grind

2) set brew to "strong"

3) set machine to grind 2 more cups of beans than you actually need. to make 6 cups -set machine to grind for 8 cups -and fill with 6 cups of water

that''s my two cents!

*** UPDATE 5/4 while I still have the same issues, I did get connected to Saeco customer service and they have been helpful and very responsive

I purchased one of these with the expectation that it would be as easy to use as other similar brands I have previously purchased. The one I received had a defect in that the retractable metal device that opens to let the grinds through and closes to keep the steam out of the grinder path would get stuck closed and not let the grinder pass the grounds into the basket. The folks at Saeco USA were helpful but didn''t have one to send me to replace it but noted it in case I had a problem with replacement.

Makes a good strong cup of coffee.

Stainless steel carafe means:

1. You had better heat it up with hot water prior to use or the coffee will be cool.

2. No heating element to keep it warm or fix number 1 above the steel carafe is suppose to maintain the temperature.

3. No breaking the glass carafe

I agree opening the carafe is a bit awkward and annoying.

I used to purchase a similar product from Capresse, while it was better and easier to use in many ways, it broke down in constant use at home and at work (I purchase 3 of them).

I have owned a Saeco coffee pot before (the Saeco Aroma) and was totally satisfied with the purchase as the machine performed faithfully for 5+ years. So of course, when I was ready to replace it, I naturally went with another Saeco product expecting awesome quality...BIG MISTAKE! The Saeco 10-Cup Automatic Drip Coffee Maker with Thermal Carafe and Burr Grinder is an extremely poor coffee maker at best. First, lets talk about the coffee bean burr grinder. What an awesome idea to have your coffee drip maker automatically grind the beans fresh right into the basket...a great idea if it worked! If I do not manually push the beans into the grinder feed opening in the bin after the automatic grind sequence begins, I end up with a tablespoon of coffee (at most) in the bottom of the basket once the grind sequence is completed. So, if you push the brew button and walk away, the ten cups of water will cycle through the tablespoon of coffee, and you will end up with hot water that is slightly tinted brown with no hint of coffee flavor. Isn''t it the point that the machine is supposed to do it automatically for you without having to stand around and babysit it to make sure you get coffee? Oh, and don''t get me started about the thermal carafe. I mean, the thermal carafe is probably one of the top reasons I purchased this machine as (at least with my old Saeco Aroma) it allows the coffee to remain hot without getting overcooked by a burner plate. My old coffee maker thermal carafe would keep the coffee hot for 3+ hours but this one, maybe 30 minutes tops and then the coffee gets ice cold. On top of that, the lid on the carafe, if not put on just right, dribbles coffee all over the counter and floor while you are pouring it...YUK. To say the least, I am extremely disappointed with my buy and wished I had never purchased this machine. In short, DISAPPOINTMENT!

Not real sure what some of the bad reviews are all about in regards to this machine. No issues with pouring that is not present with any other thermal carafe. Yes the water reservoir is a bit awkward to poor into, but not that big of a deal. Makes great coffee, and allows you to choose if you want your coffee made mild, medium, or strong. We love our machine, and you can''t go wrong with a name like Saeco.

I replaced the one that lasts only about a year to the BA-ICE-S but was listed as 100-250v.which lasted only three years. It would be nice if these lasted at least 6 years!!! I am now replacing my second one.....

Item works, but not for sure how long. The unit that they shipped is the old style that goes out after about a year. Let''s hope this one lasts a little longer.

The unit they picture is the updated/newer unit that supposedly corrected the bad caps/fuse ballast problem with these, but what they sent was the old style unit. I had to get the filter up and running so installed this where the last unit that looked identical was and lasting 16 months.

Just beware that the photo they use is of the newer units, but what they shipped me was the old style unit. It was indeed new, but not the later style.

Works and lights bulb so far, but it''s only been a few weeks.

My power supply had gone out on my UV system. I really like this one as it tell you how many days the bulb had been used.

Item arrived quickly and in great condition. Replace the old one with this and it worked like a charm. The only thing to note is that this doesn''t come with a power cord. If you are purchasing to replace an older model, just make sure your power cord isn''t hardwired into your box. If it unplugs, you can just use the old power cord. If it doesn''t, you''ll need to order the corresponding power cord for this unit. Very happy with this purchase!

This product was exactly as advertised. The delivery was right on time and the price was much better than I could have purchased it for locally.

My only reason for the 4 star rather than 5 star rating is because the unit as manufactured is not expected to be reliable for more than 2 to 3 years. This is the information I received from our local dealer before purchasing on-line. In any event, I am very satisfied with this vendor and their service.

Mr. Coffee JWX23 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, BlackI''ve had two of this same model. The first just stopped working after a few months and was replaced by the company. The second leaks all over the countertop even though I wasn''t overfilling. When I called the company, I was told they had had no complaints about this, but there are numerous complaints about the same issue with this model on the internet.

Won''t buy Mr. Coffee again.

Worked fine for three months, then just stopped heating. Lights come on, relays click, but neither the pot warmer nor the water heater heat up. This pot is the epitome of "you get what you pay for".

I have purchased 2 of these Mr. Coffee machines. Both from Target. I normally only make 4 cups during the week and 8 to 9 cups on the weekend. The first machine went back just before the expiration date on my receipt. If I made more than 8 cups the coffe grinds in the filter backed up to the top of the filter and into the coffee pot. I hate grounds in my coffee. If I wanted that I would make "Cowboy Coffee".

The 2nd machine is still in my house. Today was the worse day yet. We were given some Starbucks coffee. I made 9 cups and yep, the grounds overflowed again. But worse this time. I had kept my receipt, but low and behold it was over the expiration date. Not sure which machine I will buy now. I have been using Mr. Coffee for years...........

I love how easy it is to program! I only wish that it would keep the hotplate warm for longer.

Want Mr. Coffee JWX23 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker Discount?

I''ve had many coffee makers over the years, from really expensive to dirt-cheap. This coffee maker, by far, is my favorite so far. It brews quickly, with two brew strength settings, normal and strong. It''s very easy to program, with the buttons on top so that nothing can ever spill on them. I like the soft alarm that lets me know when the brewing is done, and when the hot plate shuts off. Cleaning is a snap with the special cleaning cycle. If there is a weak point, it''s probably the enclosed manual. Reading it makes the programming and usage of this machine sound way more complicated than it is. All in all, a great coffee maker, just keep the manual for reference but don''t read it.

Danze Closeout D510445RBDT Trim Kit

Danze Closeout D510445RBDT Trim Kit For Valve Only In Distressed BroThis product must be discussed with the corresponding valve, which unfortunately I think, may be discontinued now. Danze valves are the best on the market with ceramic parts, not cheap plastic that will require replacement later. The quality of this actual product (the valve trim) is great, the finish (distressed bronze) is so unique, so satisfying and unusual, I hope Danze continues to offer it so I can use this in my next bathroom remodel. The only thing I HAVE to point out that I didn''t see in the description was that there is writing in the finish that says hot and cold with a little swish detail. I don''t like it, my plumber told me its something that is required for building codes in some areas or something like that. I find it unattractive, but you only notice it when you are close to the fixture.

I guess its helpful for people who haven''t used this particular kind of shower valve, but I find it obvious-how to operate and therefore unnecessary. thats my 2 cents.

I have never reviewed on here before, but I feel compelled to let everyone know just what a total piece of junk this thing is.I had a Sunbeam for years that was great and it finally gave out.I wanted the best and in stainless steel,so after much research this Whynter was rated tops. I ordered it (not from Amazon), and it took 3.5 weeks to arrive. It sure is nice looking but it ends there. The water was p*** warm, and there is no temp adjustments. When the chiller turns on to "chill" the water,it makes noises like it was going to blow up. But the icing on the cake is when water started leaking out of the tap,and then from under the whole dispensor area all over my new hardwood floor. I ripped it out and tossed it as soon as I could of course this was just after the warranty expired. I now have one of the free water coolers from a home water delivery company that is fine. This is what anyone should do get your cooler from them DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BUY THIS PRODUCT WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY. IF I COULD RATE IT LESS THEN 1 I WOULD!

Like a fool, I did not heed the warning of the previous reviewer. Of course, s/he was not wrong. This unit appears to function fine for a short while, then leaks all over your floor. By the time you discover the leak, it''s too late, and your floor will be ruined.

DO NOT BUY THIS DISPENSER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!

[Our purchase from Amazon on July 20, 2011 of the Whynter Water Dispenser] We have used our Whynter FX-7SB Free-Standing Hot & Cold Water Dispenser, color black, for a year. Then it began to drip cold water. I wrote to the Whynter Company asking how we could fix the problem. They answered back the next day. Whynter sent directions and information on repairing product. Also stating if this did not take care of the problem we could order a replacement part that would take care of issue. They were most helpful. I am sorry others had problems with the dispenser. We are happy with the product if does just what we expected and with the help of the manufactor we will no longer have a drip....There address is email info@whynter.comWhynter FX-7SB Free-Standing Hot & Cold Water Dispenser, Black
