I use filters in my rv and have been for years. Culligan makes a quality product. The only thing is they don''t have the anti-bacteria, KDF, in this model. So I would buy the Camco, which has it, and it is cheaper. Culligan makes it with KDF, so you can get it in the Model 700 or 800 series. But be prepared to pay for it.

Con: water leaks when the tank is near empty (when the tank is filled, no more water leaking)

Other thought: do not draw to much filtered water (2.5 gallon) at a time.

Reverse osmosis is based upon your existing water line pressure. I have decent water line pressure in city of San Jose, not too low, not too high, but when using this WP4-V, very little water would come out. So I had to buy an extra retrofit pump from watts premier, only to find out it''s not for this new type of RO system, only the traditional 5 stage with the tubings sticking out of the 4 and 5 stage filters. Undaunted, I hook up the pump to prefilter line, install the sensor at the output line, and it works! But not after a lot of frustration and cursing. My advise: don''t get the WP4-V or WP5-50, go for the traditional RO system just in case you need that pump, it''s better to get the model with the water pump anyway and enjoy steady RO pure water.

AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker (700 Total)

This is a great coffee maker especially for someone like me who wants to make only 1 mug at a time. I''ve tried all different kinds of coffee makers, but they don''t seem to be optimized for making a single ~8 oz mug of coffee. I always ended up brewing multiple cups of coffee and throwing the extra away to get the one good cup I wanted.

I got this aeropress for Christmas 2006 and it is great. I followed the initial instructions, but preferred my coffee a bit different. So, I experimented with grind, water temperature, amount of coffee/water, etc., until I found the right combination for *my* personal preference. I use this to make a cup of coffee, not espresso (that is, I add water to the result to get "regular" coffee), so I can''t comment on the quality of espresso taste. I have noticed that coffee beans/grind from different sources have their own "sweet spots" for best grind and coffee/water quantity to get the taste I prefer. So, now that I know how I like to brew a couple different types, I try to stick with those so that I don''t have to go through the experimenting stage needed if I try a completely new coffee bean/grind. That works for me. This coffee tastes great. :)

Oh, I should mention that I have also used french press coffee makers. I really like the taste of french press coffee, but got sick of the grinds and/or sediment that always ends up in the bottom of the coffee and made the bottom of the cup taste gross. True to its advertising, the aeropress doesn''t seem to leave grinds or sediment. I sip my cup kind of slowly and end up zapping it in the microwave to heat it up again several times. The coffee does not get bitter from sitting in my mug because there is not coffee grind sediment soaking at the bottom. That is a huge plus for me!

A few folks mentioned that the plunger can be hard to press. I have to agree. I''ve had 2 shoulder surgeries and it does take some extra effort to manage to push the plunger straight down. I can still do it, although I only have 2 scoops of coffee grind in at a time. I think it would be extremely difficult to press with too much coffee in it.

All this time of daily use, including travel, and there are no problems, no parts wearing out from stress, no cracks in the plastic. It still looks like new.

I donated my drip coffee machine, french press and espresso machine to Goodwill. :)

PS I noticed the aeropress is available via third party vendor and Amazon. I can''t comment on the vendor, as I put it on my wishlist for Xmas and got it as a gift. I noticed there are separate reviews for each device/vendor, so will post my review under each.

I may try a video review of this later because I think this is hands down one of the greatest ways to make a single cup of coffee.

I bought this because I was tired of the coffee at the office giving me heartburn and generally making me want to immolate myself every time I drank another cup.

There are some things about the AeroPress that blow my mind.

1) The coffee is outstanding; better than MoreBucks and definitely a lot more affordable and convenient.

2) Cleanup is very easy

3) You feel like a cubicle alchemist which is always a good thing.

4) You can customize you level of flavor/density very easily.

The process for me is pretty cool. Check it out.

(I bring in espresso ground coffee from home but you can use regular grind if you like a lighter brew)

1) Fill my cup with hot water from the filter (or whatever; can''t say I recommend regular tap water as you want it about 170 degrees)

2) Put a filter on the endcap and add a scoop of coffee

3) Put the AeroPress on my second cup (or I suppose if you like you could bring the whole contraption over to your water source and skip the 1st step)

4) Pour water in and mix; some coffee will begin draining right away depending on how fine a grind you''re using.

5) Attach the press and press down slowly

6) Over a trashcan remove the endcap and press out the ''puck''

Enjoy the coffee. If it''s too strong, add more hot water for "Americana Style". No cleanup is really needed. No kidding. Just pure, concentrated awesome.

It''s better coffee than a French Press and way, way, WAY easier to clean.

Can you tell I''m excited. Aerobie. The flying disk people. Crazy, but it''s true.

Ok...I read all the reviews and was expecting a good cup of coffee. But, this thing makes a GREAT cup of coffee! Smooth, rich and not a trace of bitterness.

As a long time Keurig user, I was very used to having a decent cup of coffee in under a minute (if it was always left turned on and filled with water). The Aero Press does takes longer, having to use the microwave to heat the water.

Then, I purchased an electric kettle to make the process easier. Oh man, what difference! I can make a double espresso in under 2 minutes, which includes heating the water (that kettle is FAST), assembling the Aero Press and pressing the coffee through! If I want a regular cup of coffee, I just add more boiling water to the espresso (which is great as it gets nice and hot now).

My expensive Keurig brewer has now been decommissioned.

My suggestion: Buy the Aero Press, and get a cheap electric kettle to save some time.

I started home roasting coffee about a year ago and was looking for a way to make coffee when I''m away from the house. There are several things that make a good cup of coffee: good beans, a good even grind, proper extraction time, and proper water temperature. What''s nice about the Aeropress is that you can control all of these to produce an excellent cup. All of these factors contribute to the final cup of coffee. This product won''t make bad coffee taste good, but it will help you make the most of what you have.

The included directions instruct you to use water that is a bit colder than a typical coffee infusion at 170F. Traditional pour-over methods usually are around 200F. I''ve tried both temperatures and find it easier to use at 200F because water comes to a boil at around 203F where I live and I don''t have to wait for it to cool. There are plenty of web tutorials with pictures and video of how to use this product.

Despite the product description, it does not make a true espresso as other reviews have mentioned. It does make a concentrated dose of coffee and you can add water to make it closer to what typical drip coffee produces. In terms of taste, I find that usually a trace amount of sediment gets through usually, but not nearly as much as done with a French press. The paper filter sits at the bottom and I find that rinsing it before adding the grounds helps reduce paper taste and reduces the amount of grounds that gets through. It looks a bit like lab equipment, but does a great job at what it does. It is made with a thick plastic and is not not flimsy. Mine came with a nylon tote bag which I thought was neat, but it is in my opinion too large.

I am a grad student and this makes it easy to make a cup of coffee while out studying. It is easy to clean and is small and light enough to throw in my backpack for when I want coffee and don''t want to pay several dollars at a coffee shop. I wouldn''t recommend the Aeropress for serving a large group of people as it only makes at most 16-24oz of coffee at a time depending on how much water you add to it. It is good for single serving use and is very convenient. I also find that since it makes a concentrated coffee, it is great for making iced coffee at home. It should be noted that this uses a non-traditional paper filter size and may be difficult to find in a traditional brick and mortar store. I''ve heard some people just cut them out themselves from larger filters. I''m a bit lazy and just ordered extras. Hope this helps.

I have tried alot of things, especially in the avenue of natural products, and these are by far the best and most effective...not to mention the frangrance is OUT OF THIS WORLD! what can I say my wife and I both love this shower head. Installation took me 15 mins. Its convenient to have a hand held and regular shower head in one. I switch between the two during my showers. I note that several reviewers have downrated this item for leaking. I too on installation found it to have a severe leaking problem. After considerable frustrating investigation of the problem I found the solution. On the interior of the three way diverter where it attaches to the shower head there is a threaded piece that in my unit was not properly tightened as received. Tightening this piece with a large screwdriver or an allen wrench will solve the leaking problem. The inadequate installation instructions make no mention of this piece.

Therefore I consider this a 5-star product for which I deduct 2 stars for inadequate attention to assembly and installation instruction.

We just received and installed this showerhead today, and it is exactly the type of innovative solution we''ve been searching for! We are extremely pleased with its fit, functionality, design and appearance, not to mention the extremely reasonable price!

As an older arthritis and fibromyalgia sufferer, I so appreciate the ease of use, the extra-wide spray of the showerhead, the variety of adjustments, and the lightweight design of the handheld shower. It is wonderful to be able to keep the hot water coming down and keeping me warm even while using the handheld showerhead, which also cuts down on the amount of bending and reaching. The spray adjustments are perfect for us; after half a century of living, one''s skin starts becoming thinner and more fragile. We don''t really need or want endless settings seemingly available on other models, including "pitbull", "jackhammer", "kung-fu kick" and oh, yes.... the invigorating "needles on steroids". The handheld showerhead will make it so much easier to take a quick shower, clean and properly rinse the tub; quickly and thoroughly rinse shampoo, conditioner (and haircoloring products) from thick hair; and even wash the cat! (She thinks she''s a dog, so it''s OK.)

We live in an older bungalow (built in 1915) in a rural area, and I worried that the showerhead would seem out of place, but that was not the deciding factor. We have a clawfoot tub with an oval shower-rod frame suspended from above, so it was important to find a showerhead that had the features we need and would enjoy, but one that would be lightweight enough for our current shower setup. None of the local stores had anything that would work out (too big, too heavy, only a showerhead with no handheld, or only a handheld with no overhead shower.) We would have preferred a longer hose, but this five foot one will be adequate, and the price really can''t be beat. Longer hoses are available on Amazon.com. I really don''t mind that it is made of plastic. Luxury, like money, is relative. When I was a little girl, my bathtub was a number 2 washtub in the middle of a room in a primitive homestead shack in rural Idaho. Washtub Oval 2.25 Gal By today''s standards, I believe that all of Idaho at that time would be considered beyond rural. Still, it was wonderful to have a woodstove to heat the water my mother pumped by hand.

I believe that in most parts of the world today, this showerhead would be considered quite luxurious. I am thankful that I was able to afford this, I am thankful to be able to shop at Amazon.com, and I know we will thoroughly enjoy the luxury this awesome showerhead will provide.

NOTE: I''ve added some pictures to aid in my review of this wonderful device.

Awesome shower head that is night and day difference over anything else I''ve used. During the holidays we got a cheaper detachable hand shower head that didn''t fit well into our shower space (those types tend to sit high above the tub and have a flat, narrow angle, spray). Anyway, after some research we decided to replace that with this Peerless two in one since it seems like a logical progression from both the regular heads and detachable handheld heads. Installion was easy, but the washers which came with our kit was the stiff plastic types that allowed leakage and reduce water pressure. Luckily we had the sturdy soft-rubber washers at hand to use with this head. Also our kit came short one washer (only 2, instead of 3) and I wasn''t sure if the idea was to not use washers on the 3 joints, but you NEED washers on all the joints or the pressure will be less and the joints without washers will leak.

That said, once the head was up and running I was very pleased with the pressure and especially the wide flow angle of the main shower head. The center hand head has all the luxury options for pulse, massage and criss-cross spray which was a coveted feauture lacked on our previous head. My one gripe was the plastic hose. Out the box it was stiff, coiled up and stubborn to hang down. After a steady flow of hot water thru it the plastic softened up and it eventually broke-in and hung nicely from the head (see pictures).

I would''ve prefer a chrome-metallic vertebrae-style coil (similar to the ones you see on public telephones), since the plastic tends to mildew easier than a chrome-metallic coil. Many cheaper hand held heads come with chrome-metallic coils so I''m not sure why Peerless would opt for an even cheaper plastic coil. That said, it is not a bad coil. The plastic is very durable and high grade, but it still is plastic. Also you can easily replace the plastic hose with a metallic coil.

Overall this was a great choice for the shower. A+

Those with shower caddies that hang from the shower head pipe may need to relocate these caddies or buy new ones that suction to the wall. The handle of the hand held part and the hose may possibly obstruct any caddies that hang there.

Those with tiny shower enclosures or very narrow tubs (less than 2 feet) may get spill overs as the spray angle of this head is wider than most normal shower heads.

Just got this from Amazon two days ago. Installed it with no tools and no problems. Simple and straight forward. I don''t have good water pressure in my bathroom. This showerhead makes it feel like the pressure is much more. Best of the handhelds I''ve ever used. I''ve had the ones with one head on top of the other and the flow on this one is much wider. You can set the handheld part to several different sprays. I''d recommend it to anyone and would buy it again.

I think this company make this product and especially instruction manual thinking all customers are plumbers or ex isopure employees. I can''t rate the product simply because i haven''t been able to install it plus don''t have time. The product looks good but the instruction manual is a black and white diagram, very poorly designed, unclear and includes instruction for other filter models that add to the confusion. Some of the manual is also blurred and unreadable. i called the company asking for a better manual and they offered to give me instructions OVER THE PHONE, IN A LONG DISTANCE COMmUNICATION !!!!

All undersink filters are tricky to install, pain in the butt. You need some tools to work in a tight space between the sink and the wall, some of the fittings that connects to fawcet leaks. Once again the manual doesn''t help at all. This is the tipical "you paid for it your problem now" company. If they careD about the customers, they could send you a much more friendly colorful manual with troubleshoot and more detailed explanation, not to mention a dvd with a video would help.

If you don''t have plumbing knowledge save yourself the pain and get a WATER DISTILLER, SOME COST ABOUT $100-$150, JUST GOOGLE IT, NO INSTALLATION AND WATER IS EVEN MORE PURE, BECAUSE IT IS PURE EVAPORATED H2O.

Purchased this for camping, makes a better cup of coffee then we thought it would, clean up is a little difficult but this could be remedied by using a paper filter.

I bought this filter and it works great. Formerly, I used to boil the tap water and then use it to do the tea, borsche, soups, etc. however with this filter, there is a huge difference!!

First of, the water tests differently, second, it feels differently, and finally, the products that come out from it taste so much better.

The filter comes with two filters: a prefilter and a postfilter, both you need to alter annually. Note a few things: a. it comes with one thin hose that connects directly to the faucet on your sink. Second, you need to keep the filter on the coutertop, even if you are planning to put it below the couter.
