Keurig My K-Cup 2-Pack Reusable Coffee Filter Basket Replacement

Keurig My K-Cup 2-Pack Reusable Coffee Filter Basket ReplacementSomething that is important to be aware of is that you can''t use just any ground coffee in this filter. I have a Kuerig Elite and bought a standard bag of Dunkin Donuts ground coffee and when I first tried to use it, the water going into the cup overflowed and came out of the overflow which essentially watered down the coffee considerably and had water pouring everywhere. I tried it again, this time with a little less coffee in the filter and had the same result. I contacted Kuerig customer support and they replied and told me to make sure I didn''t pack the coffee, the filter was clean, and that the grind wasn''t too fine because a fine grind would clog the filter. I cleaned the filter very carefully and even stirred the coffee grounds with the end of the spoon to ensure that it wasn''t packed. The results were the same. I haven''t tried using a different brand but I will. As for now though, the idea is great but I''m not convinced that there isn''t a possible design flaw with this. Once I try a different ground coffee I will update further.

There isn''t a K-Cup coffee pod out there that can beat grinding your own freshest coffee beans and the average cup of making your own coffee is at a fraction of the costs.

There was a person here who posted the perfect permanent method and that is to buy the replacement metal mesh filters from Keurig.com which are $9.99 for a pair.

We bought two pair for a total of 5; one came with the coffee maker. We trimmed the edge of a few of the K-Cups we got with our coffee maker for safe keeping. Trimming the edge will allow the metal mesh filter to fit perfect in the "pod" holster and screw the gray lid snugly.

We use a Food Saver and Mason Jars to store our coffee. We prepare the filters just prior to loading them each and every day and each and every evening, Cleanup is incredibly easy and reloading them equally easy.

The average cost of Paul Newman''s brand at Wal-Mart is $9.88 or $10.77 counting 9 percent tax. That''s 60 cents per cup which is simply ridiculous. I don''t deny you can find it cheaper elsewhere; my problem is I''ve yet to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee via these little devils.

We bought 6 K-Caps and they have their place too but we found the coffee weaker due to having to use less coffee than the metal mesh but come in handy in a pinch.

We''ve done our fair share of experimenting and both K-Caps and the reusable filters and give the nod to the metal filters.

For those of you who grind your own beans; we found fine-medium is the same as what are in the pre-made K-cups.

To those of you who had some really wonderful tips; thank you very, very much!

I used to drink coffee only on Sundays. Bought Starbucks maybe twice a year. Now, thanks to Keurig and K-cups, I am absolutely (and happily) addicted, drinking 3 cups a day, the stronger the better. However the My K-Cups are useless. I bought a burr coffee grinder. I tried coarse grinds, I tried fine grinds, I tried filling them halfway, I tried filling them all the way. The coffee was always terribly weak. I even emptied a K-cup and put the coffee in it into the My K-Cup. Still lousy coffee. I called Keurig and their solution was to send me two new My K-Cup filters. The new ones were no better than the old ones. Then I bought on Amazon the EZ Cup with the EZ cup filters. These work and work very well. Keurig admit that your My K-Cups are a total and abject failure and buy the company that makes the EZ Cup and EZ Cup filters. Your customers deserve better than the My K-Cup.

If you have a Keurig brewer then you need these extra filter baskets to please the other coffee drinkers in the morning. One works, but you don''t need to constantly wash them before brewing another cup. While there are many flavors and types of K-cups, there is none better than using your own grind.

Each one lasts us about 6 months. There''s 2 of us and we drink 2-3 cups of coffee each day. That''s over 1000 cups of coffee per filter.

Clean filter out right after you make coffee to make them last longer. Don''t bang on the filter too hard to clean out the coffee or it can come apart. I rinse it in the sink coffee grinds and all.

We buy a giant tub of folgers and that costs $6.99. It takes us about a month to drink it. We save SO much money this way and the coffee (even Folgers) tastes great! Save your grounds and add them to your potted plants or compost, plants and flowers love them!

Replacement filter For Franke FRX02 Doulton M15

Replacement filter For Franke FRX02 Doulton M15
  • This Genuine Doulton product is safely packaged for International Delivery and despatched DIRECT from the UK - The Country of Manufacture
  • The Doulton M15 Ultracarb Replacement Filter Cartridge will fit all of the Franke Triflow range of Filter taps with the Plastic and Stainless Steel Housings
  • The Doulton M15 Ultracarb was the original filter cartridge made for the Franke Triflow System, manufactured in the Potteries, Stoke on Trent, United Kingdom
  • Contrary to a lot of misguided information on the Internet, Doulton are also the manufacturers of the current FRANKE product on sale in the USA
  • THE DOULTON M15 ULTRACARB is fully approved and certified by the NSF, and is accepted and approved throughout the USA including the states of California, Iowa, Massachusetts and Wisconsin

Doulton Replacement filter for the Franke FRX02 water system seems to have a restricted flow causing hot water to sputter when dispensing. This didn''t happen with the O.E.M. filter, which came with the original unit. I followed all the instructions, including breaking in the filter by running the water through it for one half hour, but the water continues to sputter when dispensing. Although the price is lower, I intend to go back to the Franke O.E.M. filter next time.

Form, fit, and function perfect for replacement filter for Franke Little Butler. Product was well packed and arrived when promised.

Perhaps this filter would have done a decent job. But while instructions read to place the sealing washer over the threaded mount, there was no such washer included in the packaging. And of course the filter leaked like mad without it. So will have to go four days without filtered water until a replacement genuine Franke filter is delivered. Will not buy Doulton again.

I have tried these filters and while they fit Franke Tri-Flow faucets just fine, they last only around half as long as the Franke brand filters. Since they are more than half as much, they are probably not as good a buy as they appear to be.

Gaggia 102532 Espresso-Pure Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine Save 33% Off

Gaggia 102532 Espresso-Pure Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine, BlackWe purchased this machine just after Christmas, and have fallen in love with it since then. We were looking at another, better-looking espresso machine, but were advised to get the Gaggia by some friends. This is our first REAL espresso machine, I had a Mr. Coffee machine years ago that worked all right, but the Gaggia Pure is head and shoulders above that one. It makes great espresso, although we are still working on getting great crema out of it...sometimes we do, sometimes we don''t (this could easily be our fault). The frothing nozzle is also great, and although it''s not as fancy looking as the all-stainless model we nearly bought, it is still a nice looking machine.

Negatives: no warming tray, and the first shots take awhile as the machine has to warm up first. This might be true with most machines, and it''s not a big deal for us. We start it up, prep the milk and cups for a few minutes, come back and its ready to go. Subsequent shots go much quicker.

We would definitely buy this machine again.

Seemed complicated at first, but is actually quite easy after the first time or two. Yummy espresso. Foaming wand makes thick, delicious foam for cappuccino. Easy to clean. The pump is quite loud when passing water for the espresso, but that''s only a minute.

Buy Gaggia 102532 Espresso-Pure Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine Now

I am pleased with the Espresso Pure for my entry-level espresso maker purchase. I wish it had a warming plate, but as another reviewer said, the body is all plastic. I also purchased the Baratza (or is it Solis? I''m confused about the relationship of those two companies) Maestro Plus grinder for around $140 and they work well together. You do have to spend some time breaking in the machine and experimenting with grind size and tamping pressure. You also have to let the machine heat up well, at least 8 minutes. But after I turn on and let it heat up, it doesn''t take me more than 5 or 6 minutes to make a latte or cappuccino.

I like the size of the water tank because there are only 2 of us. I also like that there is enough clearance for a standard 8 oz mug beneath the portafilter. The steam wand produces great foam with whole milk and there''s enough clearance there for a 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup. Yet the machine does not take up a lot of space in fact it''s less than the Mr. Coffee machine it replaced.

I think its interesting the Espresso Color got higher reviews than this one, because they are the same machine. The Color is $50 more, but otherwise they are exactly the same. And I read on that the red colored paint starts chipping off after awhile.

For now (1 month after purchase) and for what it is, I think it works great, and at a young, frugal person kind of price.

Yes, you do need properly ground coffee to make the best of this machine. However the $ Capresso Infinity is fine for the job. This is an impressive machine for the money but it does have a learning curve. Follow the directions in the book, get a tamper that is sized to the portafilter (58mm), use some fresh roasted ESPRESSO beans and you''ll be making coffee better than 95% of the shops with a little bit of practice. One added suggestion, a ridgeless portafilter, which allows for better tamping.

Received the Gaggia Expresso Pure at the end of May 2010 and loved it for 3 months made great coffee. In late August the knob started disfunctioning more and more. Finally figured out the metal it was on was getting so hot it was slowly melting it. Then in early September steam started coming out everywhere and water dripped even when it was turned off, and it always dripped through the coffee filter whether that button was pushed in or not. Called the company they made us go buy their special cleaner that would fix all. It did not. They had us take it apart several times before they finally said to send it in for them to fix. We did hear they received it, but have not gotten it back and it is now January 2011. Do not buy this machine unless you want to throw your money down the drain.

The product looks fine but I give up. This is the 2nd LW24 I bought. I have Asthma and really need a good Air Washer to improve my daily life, a friend recommended this brand, he has a LW14 & likes it.

After step by step setup the 1st one, everything checked fine, turned on the power, green light on & I can see the fan was moving, at once, the red light on too, fan stoped at once too. I read the user manual again & again, it is a simple designed machine, not rocket science, what could be wrong? It was Friday night, I could not get their technical support so I sent an email to them, they replied fast, but telling me they could do nothing, best way is return the merchandise.

As I said I need it badly, so I ordered the 2nd one, I thought the "Made in Germany" should not be that bad. I got it Friday again. This time I did the setup even more carefully, since I have the 1st time experience already, but the exact same problem happened again. What could be wrong? Anyone could help me before I return it again?

This is a review for two refrigerator water filters. The items were exactly as described as fit perfectly. They were new and shipped very quickly. Five stars.

Clever Coffee Dripper

Clever Coffee DripperAs one of many who is always looking for the best coffee maker, I was happy to try the Clever Coffee Dripper when it came out. I discovered It is easy and makes the best cup of coffee yet. If you like French press, you''ve got it here. The dripper has a stopper in the bottom that opens once you place it on your coffee cup so you get a fresh cup each time. And clean up is simple. All you have to do is dump the filter and rinse the dripper that''s it. Here is how I make a cup: I place a filter in the dripper and wet it with hot water and then spoon the coffee into it (I use a digital scale to get the same amount each time). Then I pour really hot water into the dripper, put the lid on top and wait 4 minutes. In the meantime I pour hot water into the mug to get it ready. Then when the 4 minutes are up I empty the mug and place the Clever dripper on top the stopper opens immediately and the brewed coffee empties into the hot mug. It couldn''t be simpler.

Is it low-tech? Yep, but is a very cool design, too. Finally, I can have French press-style coffee without the clean-up. And you can use regular grind coffee instead of the coarse grind French press requires. Plus, if you are as picky about the heat of your coffee as I am, this is the only way to go. I heat enough water at just below boiling for the dripper and my empty mug. Hot, full-flavored and easy clean-up a no-brainer.

The Clever Coffee Dripper uses #4 cone filters, but only makes one cup at a time. Recommended time for steeping the coffee is 4 minutes. It takes about another minute to drain all the coffee into your cup.

It makes great coffee! Easier clean-up than a French press or a stove-top espresso maker. Better coffee than an automatic drip coffee maker.

I''ve used one of these for a few years now, and love/hate it.

First, the idea is sound and it does make a great cup of coffee. But it is NOT durable. Don''t even think about putting one in a dishwasher, or the plastic will craze and begin leaking. To the manufacturer''s credit, they do tell you this if you read the documentation.

And, if you store it upside-down the seal unseats and will dry out. The result is a puddle next time until the seal moistens up and becomes tight again.

The lid if you get one is concave and dishes inward. So if you''re trying to max the capacity, you''ll coat the inside of the lid with coffee mud.

Even with it''s faults, I love the coffee it makes and just keep replacing them. I''m wearing out number five right now.

I''d LOVE to see this thing redesigned in glass or ceramic. And if the lid was redesigned to be convex so the center clears the upper edge of the dripper by at least a quarter-inch you''d have the perfect product IMO.

UPDATE 03/25/12 Number five is worn out. It lasted about 9 months, used between once and twice a day. It''s never been in a dishwasher or microwave yet it is thoroughly crazed and leaking.

I''m not what you would call a ''fanatic'', but I just have to have a good strong cup of coffee. I''ve tried most of the other methods with varying degrees of success. I liked the French Press, but couldn''t deal with the sludge at the bottom of the cup. I''m told that the proper grinder will eliminate this, but who wants to spend $200 on a grinder? This is the best $20 I ever spent on a coffee gizmo.

Some others have commented that the coffee gets too cold, or doesn''t make a good cup. All I can say to them is...you''re doing it wrong.

1) Pre-wet your filter & pre-heat your cup or carafe.

2) Heat water to boil.

3) Take water off heat & start grinding your beans.

4) Pour water over coffee, stir, cover, wait four minutes.

5) Steep into cup.

If you grind your beans too soon, or if you let your water get too cold, that WILL affect your cup of coffee. With a little practice and experimentation, you can have a fantastic cup of coffee in about 6 minutes flat, and it didn''t cost you $500 in equipment to get.

I love the coffee that I make with this; it has such a good flavor. If you''ve ever wondered how to get hot coffee that has the smoothness of cold brew--this is it. I''ve never liked drinking very hot drinks, so I''m happy that I can brew a cup that is drinking temperature right away. Previously I used an Aeropress (which I still use for espresso) and a Melitta filter, which this has completely replaced.

DeLonghi PAC W130E 13,000-BTU Portable Air Conditioner

DeLonghi PAC W130E 13,000-BTU Portable Air ConditionerI admit, I got suckered into buying this unit because of the marketing and slick featureset. What a disappointment.

I am returning it as quickly as possible, and would probably avoid Delonghi products going forward. I was trying to get information on where to buy replacement filters from Delonghi USA (& Canada), the former did not reply to several emails (USA tech support), and the latter the Canadian support email bounced (no such mailbox). What a joke.

PROS:

Really nice & modern color scheme, graphite and silver.

Pretty blue LCD that displays everything you need to know.

Eco-friendly refrigerant

Side handles (because its very heavy)

3M Biosilver Techsystem

CONS:

VERY Noisy sounds like an old dishwasher when cooling in Water to Air mode (swishing noise, I am guessing the rotary engine cooling off using the water).

Water refilling to get optimal cooling (to get 13K BTU) is annoying & frequent (Tested on a very hot day I had to refill it every 6 hours), I would bet that most people would give up on this eventually. Without the water, this unit does 9000 BTU in air cooling.

Huge This thing is only portable due to the casters. Very bulky.

No Oscillating Louvers! The air is blown up in one direction, no choice.

No information on how (part#?) or where to buy the 3M filters that should be replaced once a year.

Heavy Perhaps I''m being picky here, but this thing is so heavy (128 lbs).

What I recommend instead: The Sharp CVP10MX, as most people here (Amazon) have had a great experience with it. I recommend you have a look.

I had a Sharp unit that finally gave out and when searching Amazon I found this new DeLonghi air conditioner with eco-friendly refrigerant. I have always liked DeLonghi products for their stylish looks and this air conditioner is no execption.

I have a metal roof with vaulted ceilings and when it gets hot the upstairs loft gets about 10* hotter than the rest of the house and since this is where I sleep I need some extra comfort. We turn it on around dinner time and put it in the turbo function that uses both water and air cooling to bring the temperature down and then when we get ready for bed we turn it down to the sleep function which is pretty quite for an air conditioner.

I like the easy to read LCD display and the super cooling with the water tank really helps get the room temperature down quickly. This is a solid unit that weighs about 130 pounds so the casters and built in handles help in moving it around. It has all the bells and whistles with 24 hour timer, auto/sleep function, turbo cooling and even dehumidifies. The R410a eco-friendly gas refrigerant was a bonus as I try to do my part to help the enviornment.

I currently own 2 other portable AC units (1 Sharp, 1 Danby...both waterless) due to the window''s I have in the old house my apartment is in and this Delonghi blows the other 2 out of the water...no pun intended. I was skeptical about having to add water to this unit, but the level of performance it produces due to this is well worth it. This is now the only unit I leave on during the day for my pets while I''m at work...as long as I leave the doors to the other rooms open, it will keep my entire apartment cool even during the hottest summer days. My other 2 units couldn''t produce the same results in tandem. 100% satisfied with this green machine. Gotta love Italian craftmanship!!! Anyone want to buy one of my old AC''s?

I bought this air conditioner because I own a DeLonghi air conditioner which I bought in 1994, after 17 years, it still works fantastic, I have it in our guest room because it''s a smaller unit but works with water just like this one but the older model with detachable water tank. After the summer season, I really clean it well, de-calcify it and it works tirelessly for 17 summers. I bought a Bosch air conditioner 5 years ago, it''s as heavy this appliance but doesn''t give the perfect cooling effect, it doesn''t work with water just fan, and although it is supposed to cool a 45 sq.m room, it actually can just cool a small room, so it''s now in the bedroom. Believe me, Bosch air conditioner is as loud as a DeLonghi although it works just with fan.

I have this DeLonghi PACW130E in our living room 52 sq.m, it really works wonder even in real hot summer days. I have to admit that it is loud, but I get used to it because it is efficient, it is quiet if the cooling is in the fan mode, so quiet that you hardly hear any noise. I don''t mind filling the tank every 6-8 hours, filling the tank is easy, takes just few minutes. Since I live in Europe, there are stores selling DeLonghi accessories like filter, spare-parts, decalcifying liquid etc... The filter is expensive though.

I gave this one a 4 stars instead of 5 because it is loud. I would recommend this air conditioner to anyone who wants a real cool atmosphere in a hot summer day.

KRUPS KM611D50 Precision Programmable 12-Cup Coffee Maker Save 26% Off

KRUPS KM611D50 Precision Programmable 12-Cup Coffee Maker with Glass Carafe and Stainless Steel Housing, SilverThe pros are the price and that this pot makes very good coffee. The negative is that it malfunctions and depending on your luck can stop working after a month. I am now up to my 3rd pot of this type. My first pot lasted 1 year, the second only one month. i did attempt to change brands but could not find one that met my requirements for good coffee and ease. I bought the Technivorm for $300 which offered no features. It had no water filter which affects taste, no safety auto shut off, and the coffee taste was not better than the Krups. Moved on to the Calphalon pot which was a bustthe reviews of the Calphalon are almost all negative and i agree. This journey led me back to the Krups. I decided to deal with the reliability issue by ordering a back up pot and saving my receipt for any return. Amazon is a reliable dealer for returning defective merchandise. Good luck!

I needed a coffee maker for a 2nd kitchen where the cabinets are too low to the counter for the Cuisinart Brew Central which I have in the original kitchen and which I love. This coffee maker is short and squat which fits under the cabinets but is awkward because it is fat which makes it difficult to pour and impossible to use the carafe to add water to the machine.. In adddition, there are 2 other features I really dont like: the water is supposed to be poured in through a small, built-in filter which splashes up. This part which also contains the holder for the coffee may be removed and the water can be added directly into the machine, except the opening is still small. Also, and more important, the water indicator is INSIDE the machine where you add the water and is only measured in 2-cup intervals which are also unprecise so it''s hard to tell how much over you are until the next 2-cup line is reached... and you cannot brew an odd # of cups without guesswork. It makes a decent cup of coffee but you will have to use a measuring cup of some sort and tweak the amount of water until you arrive at the right measurement... a lot of work and guessing, so for the price I''d go elsewhere

I have owned a few coffee makers (too many!)& aside from a Bodum vacuum coffee maker I have always found Krups to make a great cup of coffee. We got this one about 2 years ago & haven''t had a mechanical problem yet. My only complaint is that the water compartment & brew basket are under the same lid & if you are not careful the coffee grounds can get into the water area & are awful to get out!

I purchased this through Amazon on July 12, despite a few off-putting reviews. It made very good coffee (the cone shaped filter is, I think, superior to the flat ones in this regard) and it was kept at an optimal temperature for us. It was nice-looking, though the fit and finish weren''t too good the top didn''t close squarely, etc. You cannot use the carafe to fill the reservoir with water because of the way the top is designed and the small opening to the water reservoir. Not ideal, but I was willing to work around all that. However, on August 20 (a few days after the last return date for Amazon), it failed in the middle of brewing a pot of coffee. Just stopped. No heat to the plate. Nothing. The clock and lights still worked, but no coffee. I went through the little check list (duh). I called Krups. I am supposed to send it to the nearest approved repair shop; they are sending me a shipping label (so generous). I will have it back or be ok''d to get a replacement in 4-5 weeks. Wow. That, I think, is pitiful customer service. I had this happen once with a Kitchenaid and they sent me a new one within a week, with apologies. If you buy one of these (which I can''t encourage you to do), have a back up. Keep your box etc for at least 2 months, then you could maybe send it back to Amazon for replacement since they generally have great customer service, in my experience. No more Krups for me.

Tried top rated Hamilton Beach Brew Station Deluxe(#47454)from Consumers Reports. Good coffee (NOT great) but coffee is heated within the coffee filter which is part of the carafe. After brewing stops, the steam from the coffee warmer goes into the filter & the coffee grinds are dripping into the carafe all the time. Tried removing hot grinds & filter right after brew, but still had only "good" coffee. Had to return it.

This newer version of original Krups does not drip coffee(little drips, if at all) when you take out carafe while brewing. They fixed the carafe, so that when you pour coffee it does NOT spill on counter, too. You can hear the steam hitting the grinds, while brewing. Great coffee!! Another plus, is that it is programmble...I wake up for work & my "Great" coffee is ready.

Cons: Slight blemmish on stainless steel top of coffee maker, but who cares when it makes "Great" coffee!

CQE-FM-00500

CQE-FM-00500Assuming that the filter cartridge works as advertised, I rate this a superior product (with caveats).

I have used other name brand faucet filters such as Culligan and PUR, and they were okay, but this one seems to have a more sturdy build, especially for the price. In addition, the flow rate is much better. With the others, it took over two minutes to fill a one-gallon jug; with this, about 35 seconds.

It also pivots out of the way with ease, whereas the others have an annoying friction, probably due to o-ring seals.

Yet, the CrystalQuest doesn''t leak (after four months'' use). It remains to be seen whether or not it will develop leaks; the others did after about a year of use. I suspect this one is less susceptible to leaks, due to its flow rate, which indicates much less back pressure.

Caveats: although the filter is highly rated, it does seem I get more of a chlorine taste than I did with my previous buys. And also, when I bought it, the filter cartridges were rated for a year/2000 gallons (much better than the others, typically 3 months/200 gallons), yet my warranty says void if the cartridge is used for more than six months.

Huh? Shouldn''t the system be warranted for as long as the cartridge?

Anyway, for the price, I rate it better than the others I have used, and the price is right. The replacement cartridges are also more reasonablypriced than the bigger name brands.

It was very easy to install and includes a quick switch between filtered water and regular tap water. Initially, the water tasted very much like chlorine or a chemical. They ask you to run it for 5 seconds each time you use it before using it. After a week or so either I got used to the weird taste or the weird taste mostly disappeared. However, we''ve now had it for a few weeks and someone in our household noticed that after filling a water bottle with water from the tap, when they reopened the full water bottle it smelled a little like chlorine. We will probably keep the filter for now, but eventually we will probably replace it with something else, even though the something else will probably have a lower number of gallons filter life.

Gteat filter. Bought it in white. Installed in minutes. Comes with two faucet thread adapters. Tastes as good if not beter than water from my brita pitcher and much more conveinent. Removes many more contaminents that competing brands and filter is supposed to last six months.

Review update 2/27/2011: The on/off flow control valve broke off today so I am reducing my rating. Its a shame because it was a nice unit un till this.

I like the filter, the water quality, and ease of access. I''m not thrilled about the faucet, and actually used a different one (Watts) for my installation. It''s also not clear how the "change filter" light works no comment in the manual. The light is located in the faucet, and cannot sense the actual filter so the only way it could detect a change is either by water volume or time. Also, there''s no information on how to reset it when the filter is changed. So all in all the little light was of no/negative use for me. The filter is good for 500 gals, and in my RV 500 gallons of water drunk is a LONG time to go. Another comment about the faucet it does not have a "momentary" feature where you can push/release; you actually have to turn it on and turn it off. In an RV, I like the momentary function, one less way to accidentally leave a faucet dripping.

Installation comment: there is a third small center screw hole in addition to the two keyhole screw holes; this screw will keep the filter housing from being accidentally pushed up out of its mounting screws when trying to re-mate a filter, so I highly recommend using it.

Lastly: this filter flows SLOWLY. At first, I thought it was going to be unusable, took about a minute to fill an 8oz glass. After the initial flushing time (10-20 minutes), the flow picked up to around 15 seconds to fill the same glass. This equates to around 1/4 gallon per minute, about half of what is specified. To be fair, this is in an RV with only 45psi of pressure, not the typical 60psi or more of a house installation. YMMV.

Bottom line I like the product, the dual-filtration in one small unit goes very well in my small RV, and the flow is okay if not exciting. It would be 5 stars if the faucet had a momentary, and instructions for the LED reset with a filter change.

UPDATE 2012:

I thought I could tolerate the low flow, but after a year of waiting minutes to half-fill a coffee pot, I got really sick of it. I upped my RV water pressure to 55psi, nearly house level, and still not much flow. Finally, I threw it out and replaced it with an inline unit. Lots of flow, 5 seconds to fill the pot. Not as convenient to change but with RV use, change is infrequent.

So on balance, I can''t recommend this unit for anything except maybe an ice-maker. It''s just too slow.

ZeroWater ZM-016 Electronic Water Tester Save 17% Off

ZeroWater ZM-016 Electronic Water TesterI bought this gadget to test my home water RO filtering system. The store bought RO water was 0-1ppm, which should be correct. I tested with my system and it was also 0-1ppm. Just wanted to say it works.

The ZM-106 Zero Water Electronic Water Tester evaluated three sources of water inside and outside my house quickly and accurately. I heartily recommend this product. WGThompson MD

Just to be clear, the tester itself is great and does the job it''s supposed to do. The problem is the product description and title of this product is deceptive. It reads "ZeroWater ZM-016". I bought this thinking it was a different model from the same company that produced this product: ZeroWater ZT-2 Electronic Water Tester.

Turns out...it''s the same product. The ZM-016 is just an SKU used by certain companies. ZT-2 is the model number for the product. I say deceptive because the prices are different (or rather were when I bought this). You sort of think, well, it''s more expensive and it''s got a higher model number so it''s probably got some added feature or lasts longer.

When I first got it, I thought I got the wrong product by mistake since it was the ZT-2. Talking to the seller, they cleared it up but I still ended up paying $10 more for the same product.

As far as the device itself, it works great but it''s very specific. If you''re looking to test TDS (total dissolved solids) in your water to see if your water filter is working, this is a great tool. If you''re looking for more--for instance, pH or water temperature testing--you should look elsewhere.

I was looking for a fast and accurate tester for water purity, and this is it. Inexpensive, but it tested just as accurately as the rather expensive gadget my water filtration specialist uses.

It''s easy to use, easy to read, accurate and inexpensive. What more could you want?

I have a reverse osmosis system. It is very difficult to determine when you need to replace the filters. Filters are expensive and relying on a time period to replace the filters may not be the best approach. Using the meter, indicates the true condition of your filters and it will pay for itself since the filters last longer than the specified time period. The product works very well and produces reproducible and accurate results.

BISSELL Little Green PROheat Deep Reach Spot Cleaner Save 11% Off

BISSELL Little Green PROheat Deep Reach Spot Cleaner, Bright White, 50Y6I have owned this portable machine for 18 Mo and I purchased it to clean my car carpet. It works great and provides heated water to clean car carpets like new. I got a puppy recently and of course we are house breaking him but it was impossible to keep up after him if we let him anywhere in the house outside his crate. That was until I remembered my portable Bissell. I also have the big green Bissell but it was a pain to drag out every time the puppy urinated but the little green heated machine is outstanding. It deep cleans the carpet instead of just pushing it deeper and leaving odor like trying to clean up with rags and hot water. The real advantage was when the puppy had diarrhea which is impossible to pick up and clean out without a carpet cleaner. This things pulls all of the mess and stain out and with a little disinfectant added to the solution the spot turns out virtually dry and odor free which is critical because once the dog marks a spot the instant he smells the old residual odor that becomes the bathroom location. If you have a pet (puppy or incontinent older dog) and you are an ultra clean neat-freak you will want this portable machine?

The BISSELL LITTLE GREEN SPOT CLEANER is a handy little carpet stain cleaner that''s good to keep around for cleaning small accidents around the house. However, if you have pets or small kids, where accidents on the carpet are prone to happen frequently, I would suggest getting Bissell Spotbot Pet Handsfree Spot and Stain Cleaner with Deep Reach Technology, 33N8A. Although that unit costs about $30.00 more than the BISSELL LITTLE GREEN, it has two choices of either using a hands-free set-it-and-go scrubber or using the hose and manually cleaning out stains from the carpet (i.e. in hard to reach areas like stairs or in a corner or on furniture). The Bissell "Spotbot" is much easier to use because you simply have to place the unit on top of the stain and press a button and leave it alone. It does all the work for you. Whereas the BISSELL LITTLE GREEN only has the hose nozzle and two brush attachments, a large one for deep cleaning and a smaller one for all the rest, and you have to manually use the hose, spray the stain with the nozzle, and clean the mess up. There''s no other option.

Also with the BISSELL LITTLE GREEN there''s some assembly required, which is just to attach the hose holder and it''s very simple to set up -requiring only a Phillips head screwdriver. The unit also comes with a small bottle of cleaning solution. You mix a little of the solution with lots of water in the cleaning tank chamber, which has clearly marked water and solution lines; the other chamber is for the collection of the dirty water that you rinse out after use. It''s pretty much foolproof. Both the left and right chambers come on and off easily, too, and latch securely.

Although the LITTLE GREEN boasts that it continually heats up the water, I still think the "Spotbot" is the better deal.

I had to cleanup a mess of wet dog food on the carpet, after my Shiba Inu decided to push her dinner plate off of the bed and onto the floor, and though the LITTLE GREEN did a good job, I still like the "hands free" convenience of the "Spotbot." And comparing both units side by side, the "Green" is only slightly smaller than the "Spotbot."

Of course, either unit is better than scrubbing the carpet with your hands and a brush but if you''re trying to decide between the two, and you have pets and/or small kids, go with the "Spotbot."

When the Bissell Little Green PROheat Deep Reach Spot Cleaner arrived at my home it had it''s work cut out for it. My stairs were the number one priority and depending on the results I had hoped to use it in my car and RV.

Preparing it for use was easy and I was cleaning my stairs within 15 minutes of unboxing it. I had vacuumed the stairs earlier and that is recommended. Now it did take a little more effort than a full size machine, but try lugging a full size machine up the stairs! I have a total of 14 stairs, with a small landing in the middle and it took about 45 minutes for me to finish, but once dried (overnight) and vacuumed again the carpet looked better than it did when we bought our home several years ago. Next I headed out to the RV thankfully it was parked in our driveway and close to an outlet. This was going to be a huge test on just how heavy duty this cleaner could be, it''s a 20+ year old RV that I have no idea when the carpets were thoroughly cleaned last. Luckily the carpeted areas aren''t too big and I was able to finish in under an hour. I could have been faster, but I had to empty and refill the water many more times than I did with the stairs. The dirt coming out of the carpet was horrible and I kept going over areas until it started to run clear. In the end it didn''t look brand new, but a definite improvement. I also noticed that the drying time was less than the stairs, possibly because the padding was thinner?

Since the stairs and the RV, I have done the carpets in my car and a small closet in the house. Both cleaned up well and using the Little Green was much easier than trying to use a full size machine. If you are looking for a small area or spot cleaner I have no problem recommending it. The only complaint I have is that the Bissell branded cleaning solutions are rather expensive and I would like to find a reasonable alternative or see the price lowered.

This cleaner does the job fairly well of getting spots out.

Pros:

Injects the cleaning mix into carpet very well

Keeps cleaning solution warm while using I always start with warm water from the faucet, so I can''t comment on how long it would take to warm up cold water

Solid build quality, I''m not afraid at all of this breaking

Con:

The suction through the vacuum isn''t very powerful, it takes a pretty good amount of time to thoroughly dry the spot you just cleaned. I would say if you don''t want the area to be sopping wet after cleaning, it takes about 10 minutes to do an area of about 1 square foot.

Overall: I''m pretty happy with this, and after using it, would get it again for what I bought it for. Quick tip, you only need about half as much solution as the instructions say for most stains.

THE PICTURE SHOWS A GREEN MACHINE MINE IS PURPLE. Model # 50Y6-W 12089C. Purchased 09-30-2012.

It leaked the first time I used it. Leaks where the hose comes out of the body. If you want to risk it and try one make sure you hang onto the reciept. Without it you just threw your money away. Purchased a spotbot in the past and it leaked out of the bottom where the bristles are. 2 Bissells struck out both times.

Cuisinart CleanWater 2-Gallon Countertop Water-Filtration System

Cuisinart CleanWater 2-Gallon Countertop Water-Filtration SystemI bought this and wasn''t sure what to expect. After quite a bit of research I did know this is a smokin deal for a filter which is NSF 42 and 53 certified. (You need that.) I also checked out replacement filter costs and frequency and this unit is very reasonable.

Pros: It filters water very well. I live in LA and the tap water is horrid. Both my Husband and I like the taste.

Filters are cheap and easy to instal. Whole thing is SUPER easy to use.

Cons: The Cold and Hot tanks only fill up one glass each before they have to do their thing to make it hot or cold. I was expecting something like a tankless water heater where the water runs past the hot coils. This has tanks...

It takes what seems like a long time to filter but once you get it going and you continually add water to the top you won''t run out.

This is not a con but you should definitely read the instructions on how to treat the filter before installing and using. ;) I didn''t do it right so I just had to drain it and start over. Not that big of a deal.

Overall, I love it. Money well spent!!

I own the 2 gallon Cuisinart CleanWater System and have been using it for 3 weeks with no problems. The cold water is cold, and the hot water is HOT. Set up was minimal with the exception of soaking the filter. I have not experienced any leakage or any problems whatsoever. My family has not bought bottled water since we started using this. I really love the design and how it fits neatly in the corner of my kitchen counter tops.

The product works fine in terms of filtering and cooling water, but it''s really LOUD and even in Energy Save Mode, the fan runs almost constantly. After awhile you start to forget about it, since it''s a steady white-noise, but then it stops and you realize how nice and quiet everything just became, only for it to turn back on a few minutes later. You wouldn''t think a major concern about a water filtering system would be the noise, but I''m honestly ready to set it out for Goodwill...

It worked fine for the first three weeks. Nice clean water taste, nice cold temperature.

Then it stopped cooling the water.

I called Cuisinart, and they said, oh yes, no problem it happens all the time. The cooling unit has frozen and just needs to thaw. Unplug it and leave it off for several hour to thaw.

Hmmm, I thought it''s brand new, and I have to unplug it to work properly? Not a good sign.

Replace it with a new one? Maybe but that means pack it, pay for the shipping to return and the shipping for the replacement.

Since I unplugged it, the water has been tasting extremely like plastic. So tonight I called Cuisinart again.

They said, oh yes, no problem it happens all the time. If the water tastes like plastic, just flush the system with eight cups of pure lemon juice.

I don''t have eight cups of pure lemon juice on hand, so who knows how this will be resolved.

But a word to the wise if you do buy this lovely device, budget some measure of your time for troubleshooting.

We just received our Cuisinart water filtration system from Amazon on Friday and have been using it all weekend. The directions to set it up are easy to follow and really looks nice in our kitchen.

Like many people we wanted to go away from bottled water to help the environment and save money at the same time.

We selected the WCH-1500 to pick up the hot water feature and it immediately replaced our tea kettle which has sat on the stove for years. The temperature is perfect and instant hot water is a real plus.

I have used this product for a few weeks now. I did not see an improvement what so ever. I had better luck with a recipe to make my own dish washing soap. I would not recommend spending your money on this product. It is very small and cheaply constructed.

All my glass items -wine glasses, water glasses, pyrex cooking dishes -were coming out of my dishwater cloudy and water-spotted. I thought this was being caused by the detergent I was using, but that turned out not to be the case. After a little research online, I came to the conclusion that the problem was the mineral-rich "hard" water in my city.

I looked at the in-line filters that can be installed in the water line. They''re probably the best solution overall, but they''re expensive, and the replacement filters are expensive too.

These filters are a better value, I think. The cloudiness and water spotting have all but disappeared since I''ve put one in my machine. Its possible that an in-line filter would do a slightly better job, I suppose. But I am very satisfied with the results of these filters.

The bottom portion, holding the chemicals, seperated from the top piece attached to the dish rack and fell to the bottom of the dishwasher. Retrived and had to discard and cut off the remaing top, still attached, and discard it.

The chemicals do a great job.
