BISSELL Flip-!t Bare Floor Cleaner Save 4% Off

BISSELL Flip-!t Bare Floor Cleaner, 5200I have 3 large dogs that drool any water left in their mouths after a drink, and a large textured ceramic floor that collects dirt in the grooves of the texture. I bought a Hoover Floor-mate in hopes of eliminating the mop and bucket, and because I felt that after a while I was pushing around dirty water. The Floor-mate did pick up a lot of dirt, but it is too large to get under cabinets and the brushes are too soft and too high to get into the crevices of the texture in the ceramic.

I decided to try the Flip-It because it is supposed to vacuum and wash the floor. First of all, you really have to vacuum first and clean the receptacle before washing. Otherwise, you will end up with a yucky mess to clean from the receptable and filter. I didn''t find that the vacuum blew the hair as one other buy had reported, but I agree that it doesn''t vacuum very well. It picked up some hair and small crumbs, but didn''t get all of it. This was obvious when I washed the floor. More hair was picked up in the washing process.

With the rubber brush and a little pressure, this cleaner did get much more of the dirt out of the floor texture. I still had to scrub some with the brush on the unit, but I would have to do the same with a sponge mop. At least with this cleaner, the dirty water is vacuumed up and clean solution is dispensed for the next section. Even with my uneven floor, the unit did pick up the water, and the floor dried quickly.

The first floor bathroom, hall, kitchen, and foyer are pretty large, kitchen alone is about 12'' x 18''. I had to refill the cleaner 3 times. I filled the unit with hot water from the tap. So maybe that helped. I don''t think this is too bad because I had to refill the Floor-mate as many times and it didn''t get the floor as clean.

I wouldn''t use this unit as a vacuum again, but as a hard floor cleaner, I think it works well on floors that need more scrubbing than a soft brush.

Purchased the Flip-It a couple of days ago, so my review is based on only one cleaning of kitchen tile floor. But it was enough to reveal serious flaws in the design and manufacturing of this device. Overall, I''m not satisfied with this unit, mainly for three reasons: (1) due to the very poor dry pick-up due to the design flaw of air blowing down and dispersing the dirt you are supposed to pick-up, (2) the fact that you need to use a rag or mop to dry after the last square foot of floor space cleaned, (3) using this unit in a relatively small area is actually more difficult and considerably slower than using a mop, unless you leave the floor wet, which defeats the purpose of the drying function.

The idea to have separate dedicated dry vacuum side and wet pick-up side was what initially sold me on this unit. I was comparing to the Hoover Floor Mate models about which I read that dry pick-up is not very good, plus they are 60%-70% more expensive than the Bissell.

The unit indeed is very easy to assemble and was ready to use in less than 5 minutes after attaching the handle with one screw. The handle was a bit squeaky due to all screws being rather loose, so I tightened them about a 1/4 turn of the screwdriver to remedy this. The build quality seems fine and the motor noise acceptable (at least compared to the overly noisy full-size Hoover SteamVac I got for carpets, which by the way cleans carpets very well).

I noticed that the amperage rating of this unit is only 3 amps. Compare this to the 10-12 amps of most regular vacuums or carpet cleaners (or the 5 or more amps on wet/dry vacs you might use in your garage) and you will get an idea of the suction power. It turned later that indeed it is not very strong (but it would have been adequate if not for the serious design problem which rendered the unit useless for dry pick-up)

After filling in the solution tank with the supplied hard floor cleaning solution and warm tap water, I was ready to try it.

First I tried the dry vacuum function. Immediately, I noticed that as soon as I approach a piece of lint, dust or any light particle on the floor within a few inches in front or to the side of the cleaning head, the exhaust air stream would blow it AWAY from the cleaning path. This makes it impossible to even go near the things you want to suck-in, unless they are heavy enough to not be moved by the exhaust air stream. Once over them, the suction is OK to retrieve them in the dirty tank.

I thought I perhaps assembled the unit incorrectly, which would be hard if not impossible to do. Still, I reassembled it more carefully, taking care that all openings fit where they should snugly. Same problem! Then I removed the dirty tank to look at what''s going on (exhaust air was escaping at a great force down from around the elliptical opening on the back of the dirty tank this is on the top/front side when you vacuum and on the back/bottom when you wet pick-up). There are two plastic ducts on the inside of the machine, which blow air down for some reason. The actual exhaust port is pointed sideways as it should, and is blowing air out too. But it looks too small, so most of the exhaust air actually comes out through these two openings. The dirty tank is supposed to block the air from escaping down to the floor, or at least to the front in dry pick-up mode. It has some insulation on the inside of the machine, but it is not adequate, so air escapes around the dirty tank and out down through the opening and towards the floor. In effect, the exhaust air blows down pushing away any light debris that you try to approach...

So much for dry pick-up not good and definitely not usable for anything but stuff like cheerios, heavy crumbs or seeds (hair and light stuff moves away due to the exhaust blowing down).

Second, I tried the wet pick-up with the supplied brush installed. This works OK cleans dirty step marks fine and dries the water. BUT ONLY if you go backwards moving forward, after the brush has been already saturated with water/solution, leaves a wet streak even if you no longer push the spray trigger. So you need to move backwards to leave the floor dry in front of the machine...

It does a fair enough job of drying the tiles and the water in the dirty tank was quite dirty. The kitchen floor was cleaned well enough, although sticky stuff had to be scraped-out by hand (a steamer would have loosened and cleaned these out).

Although it does not look to be the case, I hope I have a defective unit after all I''m probably one of the first customers to buy this at Sears the day they received it in the store... It would be a pity if this relatively moderately priced device with good potential fails miserably due to poor design or execution...

I''d be curious if other reviewers experience the same problem.

--Update 10-7-2004 --While returning the cleaner to Sears, I tested the floor model. It has the same problem blowing air down from the same place mine did. I''m starting to think that if the engineers flipped (!) the cleaning head 180 degrees so that only the wet pick-up is affected by the downdraft, it will actually help dry the floor, and it won''t interfere with the dry pick-up, as it will be blowing now behind the cleaning head in dry mode instead of in front of it... Getting a less restrictive exhaust port would help too. The only other change needed might be to put the outlet on the clean water tank on the opposite side when they rotate the head to allow all solution to drain to the bottom. I''d try this if I had my unit still with me, but now it''s too late :(. My only hope now, besides finding something affordable that works, is when Flip-It 5200 "Plus" (a.k.a. revision 2 with all bugs fixed) comes out with these changes implemented, I''d get a dollar for each one sold, or at least a free one :)

One other thing I forgot to mention was that the capacity of the water tank was sufficient to clean my kitchen of about 15''x8'' with a 6''x3'' counter in the middle. So for larger rooms you will need to refill halfway through.

I don''t think that this little machine is nearly as bad as some of these reviews make it out to be. I think alot of people have much too high expectations on what a product like this should do.

A little over a year ago I purchased the hover floor mate, And I thought it was the best invention ever. For a person like me who hates a mop and bucket and hates waiting for the tile floor to dry because it is deadly when it is wet. Fast forward to this week when I started to mop the kitchen and the motor blew up on the hover. With three children and three dogs I needed to quickly replace it. Despite the many poor reviews on the bissell I decided to try it figuring I could return it if it was too awful. I was pleasently supprised with how it performs. I wouldn''t say that it cleans the floor any better or worse then the hover did, especially considering the much lower price. But I will point out what qualities I noticed right away that I do like better. For one it is much lighter than the hover. It is easier to switch from wet to dry vac and back when you notice that tuft of dog hair you missed. The hover would get clogged very easily if you tried to vacume dog hair while the inside of the vacume was still wet from mopping. And finally, I find the bissell much easier to clean out and put back together when done cleaning.

I don''t feel that any of these machines are really designed to ''scrub'' deep down into grout lines and yes, as with any mop, you sometimes have to make several passes over a tough spot, but atleast you don''t have to put any pressure down on it to get the spot up. Just let the scrubber part rest on the spot for a sec. All in all, it works great for me as a daily quick clean up for the dog hair, drool and sticky mistery goo that the kids always seem to leave behind :)

I saw this on a TV commercial. We live in the country with dust and dirt constantly making it''s way into our home. We have tile floors and thought this would make a great addition to our cleaning supplies. I was willing to spend money on whatever it took to make cleaning my house easier. So I bought one for my family and one for my parents who also have tile floors.

We were sent the flip it''s immediately and got right to work. My husband assembled it for me, and I started to clean the house. First I used the dry vacuum side. The previous ratings were correct. The air does blow out and makes it near impossible to suck anything light up. Then I attempted the wet vac side. It leaked all over my floor. No matter what I did to stop it from leaking it to this day continues to leak. I have even re-assembled it. To no avail, it is still leaking.

Not only does ours leak, my parents are having the same exact problem with theirs.

Do not spend your time or money on this piece of junk. I could''ve sent it back, however, didnt want to deal with the issues of returning a large item.

BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

I purchased this product for the wet floor cleaning ability. I am sold; I think it is wonderful and great. I paid 75 dollars for mine at a discount retailer and have been impressed so far. We have 2 dogs and a toddler in our house which is 75% ceramic tile so there are many things that I like about this unit.

1. It is light and easy to use with one hand and truly does go from dry to wet on the fly. Of course the sacrifice for this is that the tanks (both clean and dirty) are somewhat small.

2. It picks up adequately on the dry vacuum side Cheerios and dog hair don''t give it any problems and the dirt that falls in the grout comes up too. My house requires sweeping up first period. There is no way ANY vacuum could get into all the nooks and corners without a wand, but I do wish it was a little lower profile and a little wider on the vacuum side. Although it seems to pick up fine it just doesn''t feel very powerful as vacuum cleaners go.

3. The wet cleaning side is great, works beautifully and does not leave much water at all. I love it! My only complaint is that as others have said, the tanks are small and the filter does clog pretty easily. But I figure you have to make sacrifices for price and compact design.

All things considered it is easy to use does a great job for everyday cleaning and I can''t beat the price. It seems pretty durable too, the other day it hit the floor and both tanks and the wet vac. head popped off, I freaked out for a minute and the snapped everything back together and it ran like a champ. Although I am sure it is not recommended I did suck up and entire cup of coffee off the floor the other day with not so much as a dribble of the brown liquid left it did perfectly.

You also have to remember to leave a little time to get to know the machine. I experienced almost all the same problems as other users in the beginning too. Other users have commented about the dirty water on the floor and the fact that it doesn''t pick the water back up and it leaks etc. I had all these things happen and ALL were attributable to operator error! Vacuum does not pick up= I have never met an upright that didn''t blow stuff. EVER! Dirty water not picking up= filter was clogged, unclogged filter, took two minutes. Tank leaks= dirty water= not clicked in all the way. Clean water= screwed cap on wrong. Takes long time to dry= instructions specifically recommend NOT holding lever down on both forward and reverse sweeps and on the times that I have a stubborn stain I do this but I also go back over it with just the sucker and it turns out just fine. I also use my own vinegar water combo in the machine with no problem either.

All in all, you get what you pay for. I did not pay $200-$400 for a floor cleaner I paid $75, I expect and accept the limitations that affords me. It is so much unbelievably better than vacuuming my whole house with the wand of my upright and then using mop and bucket I am willing to deal with it. My back thanks me everyday!

Nescafe Dolce Gusto by Krups Circolo Coffee Machine

Nescafe Dolce Gusto by Krups KP500950 Circolo Coffee Machine, TitaniumI want to start out by saying, I usually dont drink coffee. It just takes so long to prepare, grind the beans, put the filter, water and wait... This machine is amazing, I put the water in, wait like 30 seconds and then move the lever to the right for hot water. BOOM. The drink is done and it''s ready for your tasting pleasure. I got the RED machine because my KitchenAid mixer is Red so I figured I''d continue the color scheme. It''s got a nice matte feel to it and everything compacts together with an easy to clean components. In the box, it came with a sampler of different drinks and plus if you register your product you get a free box of capsules (16 in total). I have to say I wish the water tank held more water but its okay. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone in the market for a fast and delicious cup of joe.

Like the coffee maker. It''s shape is unique and bright. The only set back that I can see ,has to be Nescafe coffee since they are the only ones that fit (k-2 cups won''t fit). There is limited stores to get the coffee from and not a lot of variety in the coffee choices. It does make an excellent cup of coffee out of the choices available. Wish the coffee was available in more stores closer to where I live.

I really liked the product but I didn''t know that I was the one who was supposed to stop the water. It makes everything harder since if you don''t stop when you reach the correct ammount of water, you end up loosing your capsules.

This thing is one piece of fine art. First of all it makes delicious coffee. Their Cafe Lungo and the Cafe Americano I would say are the best tasting ones. Rich in flavor! The machine is very simple to use. I didnt even have to read the manual or directions. The blue LED light is pretty neat too. It illuminates while the coffee is being made. Awesome coffee machine for the price. I would recommend this to everyone who is a coffee lover!

I had this machine on my wishlist and received it as a present. I wanted something like the coffee machines everyone has in Europe where you can get an instant cup of coffee any time of day. Well, you can do that with this machine...if you have the capsules. You might think, "Duh" at that previous statement but let''s say you wake up one morning thinking, "oh I can''t wait for my cup of coffee" you go to the machine turn it on drat! you''re out of coffee capsules! So you think, "oh I''ll just go to the store and get some" BZZZZZ!!! Wrong answer.

NOBODY...and I literally mean NOBODY carries these capsules in their stores. Even our local store, WHO SELLS THE MACHINES, does not carry the capsules. Apparently some mumbo jumbo about the company not wanting to retail out the capsules I don''t know. All I know is the only way to get refills is through Amazon or the Nescafe site which, if you don''t sign up for automatic refills, shipping can be as much as $20-30 as they only ship through UPS.

My other beef with this machine is that the coffee doesn''t come out very hot. That usually doesn''t bother me, but I know how some people really like their hot coffee...so just thought I''d mention it.

Other than those two cons, I would say it''s really fun to use and clean and looks all futuristic on the kitchen counter. It''s convenient when you don''t want to heat up water for a French press or make a whole pot of coffee but if you don''t want to be stuck with only getting your coffee online, you should probably look elsewhere.

Suraki Ozone Generator Room Air Purifier

Suraki Ozone Generator Room Air PurifierThe company I bought it from is good to deal with, but the product lacks a few important features. The way the purifier is designed is quite poor unless you want an ozone purifier that will run only up to 90 minutes a day. There are three settings and the highest setting is such that the ozone comes on for only 10 minutes every 90 minutes. That''s only 90 minutes a full day. If that is how much ozone you want then you may be happy with it. My need for the ozone was much greater than that so it was a waste for me.

Lasted about 2 weeks then motor started whining! Sure it won''t last long now, piece of garbage! Don''t waist your money on it plus it only generates 30 sec every half hour.

Doesn''t really do anything. Never noticed any difference in the air quality. After using it for about 1 month, the motor bearings wore out and the device simply screetches. Can''t send it back cuz my time has run out. I''ll just throw it away.

MistyMate Cool Patio 30 foot 16 nozzle professional grade misting system

MistyMate Cool Patio 30 foot 16 nozzle professional grade misting systemI would give this 100 stars. It is the best product I have ever bought and the price was unbelievable. I am 59 years old, and female. I put the system up in about half an hour, turned it on and within fifteen minutes the temperature on my patio dropped at least 10 degrees!! It was during the hottest part of our summer and I would have done and paid anything to be able to survive the heat. I was really concerned about my Mother''s health in the heat. Not only were we able to go out on the patio during the day but my living room windows were open and it cooled my living room where it was more than just bareable! I have bought their umberellas with the cooling system built in for around the chairs under the gazebo for next year. We love our backyard and these systems make if possible for us to go out in the Summer. We cannot say enough good about the system, the cost or the durability of the product. Also I contacted the company with my gratitude for their product and met some very nice people who were also very happy that we enjoyed their product. My sincere thanks for this product.

This product is great, with a few twists. This concept has been around since at least the 1950''s. However, this manufacturer succeeded in producing a unit that works, at a modest price that anyone can afford. The hotter and drier it gets, the better this system works.

I live in a large log home in the high desert mountains of the Southwest.

During the summer, the huge logs (over a foot thick) absorb sunlight to the point it makes it oppressively hot in the house, and, it stays hot until about five in the morning when the logs finally radiate all of the heat.

I installed this on a South facing porch with an almost flat roof. The porch gets over 100 in July and August because the sun beats down on the almost flat roof for the entire day.

This cools the porch by about 20 degrees. It cools the air by twenty degrees, and, cools the wood that heats up by seven or eight in the evening (instead of waiting for the heat to dissapate, by itself, around 5:00 in the morning).

It took a few hours to get it set up and working. I had to add a washer, with a strainer, to the connection with my garden hose. Then, the line kept popping off the hose connector. I was able to solve it with some thread tape Aa Thread Seal Tape Inc 01440161 Thread Seal Tape 1"x520" (Pack of 50) on the hose connector, and, by using a very small hose clamp I got at a local hardware store. 40 Pc Hose Clamp Assortment

CLOGGED NOZZLES: If you have hard water, or, water with a bunch of junk in it, then the nozzles may occasionally clog. Over a period of two years using this, I found that most of the nozzles will unclog by themselves within a day or two. If they don''t, all you have to do is remove the little nozzle and soak it in an ounce or two of white vinegar. The vinegar will dissolve the junk in the water from the nozzles within an hour or two.

I found that if the temperature is only in the 80''s or 90''s, you don''t need to use the full pressure from your hose. You can just use about half pressure, just enough to make the nozzles produce evaporative mist. This way you can save water until the temperatures get above 100. When they climb that high, just give this system full blast pressure and it will still cool the area around your house 20 30 degrees.

I also added other innovations to the South and West sides of my house. I planted grapevines so that their huge leaves would spread all over the South wall of the house. They love the full sun and the high heat on the South side. Not only are they pretty, they help shade and cool the whole area, and, they love the mist from this product.

I also use "shade sails" (an innovation from Australia) to shade the major portions of the walls that were absorbinb the sunshine in the winter. They are removeable, in the winter when you want the sun to heat the house, and they save me about $800 every summer in air conditioning expense by shading the house from the sun. Coolaroo Square Shade Sail 11 Feet 10 Inches with Hardware Kit, Desert Sand

Lastly, in the summer evenings, I usually only use the bedroom. I purchased a small (1200 watt (uses about as much electricity as a hair dryer)) portable commercial air conditioner just for the bedroom. This way I only have to use the small air conditioner for a few hours in the hot afternoon, before bedtime, without having to cool the whole house. Haier CPN12XH9 12K Portable Air Conditioner

I have used mine for 3 years now. I have added lines each year and now my home is a retreat for birds, dogs, frogs, and lizzards. All of us love the way the mister reduces the humidity/temps when in use. Last summer I draped one line across two trees for the party we had. They would drive thru on 4wheelers ...the mister to cool off in the 100+ degree weather. They are taken up at the end of the summer and stored until the following year. Dunno why people haven''t pickup on this product for heat relief.... geeeeze duh!!!!! Check out my photos of the mister/animals loving it... Now I have something for the brrrr cold winter IR heaters (see my review) and something for the hot texas heat (misters). Next on my list... automated robot vacuum cordless cleaner .... like the Jetsons!!!! check back soon ;o)

Do not try to connect the unit directly to a garden hose without an thread adaptor. It looks like it will fit as the diameters of the connections are the same, but the threads per inch are different. The unit comes with a 3/4" plumbing thread, NOT a garden hose thread.

You need an adaptor such as a Watts A-669 Hose Adaptor (3/4" Male Hose to 3/4" Female Pipe Adaptor) or similar. Without this adaptor the threads don''t match up and you''ll just end up with a stripped thread and a dripping connection.

For a dripless connection I would recommend using plumbing teflon tape as well.

Once I took a few minutes (and a trip to the hardware store) to get the threads matched up the unit has been flawless!

Stay cool!

I think there''s some sandbagging going on here.

The same product is getting slammed on Amazon.com. I purchased this item, received it today and attempted to install. Several of the nozzles were missing and at least 5 were cracked and unusable. The cheap plastic hose attachment leaks like a sieve.

This product is pure unadulterated Chinese crap. I wasted 40 minutes setting it up to find out it leaks, drips, sprays streams of water everywhere and generally is just crap.

It''s gonna be 100 degrees here this weekend and I was hoping this would take the edge off the heat and let me use my patio.

Not gonna happen.

Run, don''t walk away from this.

EcoloBlue 28 Atmospheric Water Generator

EcoloBlue 28 Atmospheric Water Generator
  • Produces up to 7 Gallons of Pure Drinking Water per day from the air.
  • 5 Filters (Carbon + Reverse Osmosis) + 2 UV lights
  • Internal Stainless Steel 3 Gallon Storage tank
  • Provides Cold Water down to 40 F , Hot Water up to 199 F
  • No more plastic Bottles - Convenient

I recommend purchasing these machines straight from the manufacturer, he''ll give you all the info you need and it is less expensive. Just google "precipitation water generators". The man is brilliant and is inventing simply amazing things, such as these water generators.

I searched for years to figure out how to filter out all the chemicals, metals, bacteria, prescription medications, ect. that is contaminating the municipal drinking water. This is it. The filtration process in this unit alone is probably enough to filter out most everything from the city drinking water, but even better; since the water you''ll be drinking comes from the humidity, none of that junk is there to begin with.

The higher the humidity level in your area, the quicker and more efficiently it will make water.

It took a while to get the new appliance smell out of the drinking water but after that, the water coming from it was, without a doubt, the cleanest tasting drinking water I''ve ever tasted. My friend told me it was like drinking snow and I know it''s even better than that.

However, I speak of the unit in past tense because currently I am not using it. Unfortunately, I let mine sit for quite some time and mold grew in the collection tank. The unit cycles the water to keep it purified, but when there is enough mold growing it just can''t be filtered well enough and it mold gets in your glass.

For this reason, I had originally planned to rate this appliance with four stars. But to downplay such an amazing piece of equipment because of my own neglect is arrogantly ignorant. So my suggestion: Use it and follow the recommended cleaning instructions.

If I could make one improvement to this machine it would be to have an option to keep the unit on but be able to turn off the water production.

I bought this incredible machine a couple of years ago. Yes, it produces incredibly pure, great drinking water, filtering out ALL contaminants, including fluoride and chlorine.

BUT, I have become very frustrated with this machine every time I have changed the filters, it leaks. Even though I have become quite good at changing filters and making sure they are very tightly connected, I still get leaks. It has happened over and over. I fix one leak, and another crops up.

The latest hassle is another leak that has occurred when I replaced the bottom tank. This time, I cannot figure out where the leak is coming from. It is not from the bottom tank, or from the front filters. It is coming from somewhere inside, and to find it, I will have to start taking apart the machine. Well, actually I will not be taking apart the machine, because I''ve pretty much had it. If I find this leak, I know another will occur in the near future.

I believe the bottom tank actually did not have to be replaced (which ecoloblue replaced for free), but in phone conversations with technical support, it seemed that the problem I was having at the time was due to a clog somewhere in the bottom tank. And that is part of the problem all they can do is give advice based on phone conversations. No one is there to actually fix the machine. And you can''t send it in for repairs because it is huge and heavy. So you are stuck fixing it yourself.

In my humble opinion, this machine was not thoroughly tested for long periods of time before going to market. OK, there''s a chance that I am the only one having these problems, but I highly doubt it. Anyway, I have given up on this machine, and will now use some other filtration system, such as Berkey, or even delivery of water. I think this machine needs a complete overhaul and redesign to make it feasible for people to use it in their homes.

The support people are very nice and patient, but there has been an element of frustration there, I think partly stemming from the complete lack of a good manual that goes with this machine, resulting in my complete ignorance in how the machine actually works. I was told when I got the machine that the manual that came with it was going to be updated that was at least a couple years ago, and there still is not an updated manual. So you basically have to figure out how to connect the filters yourself. The current manual does have some explanations, but most of the manual is not usable.

Because of these very frustrating problems, I would caution anyone considering it about my experience, and do not recommend this product to anyone until they can iron out the kinks. If I didn''t have these leaking/clog problems, I would have given this machine 5 stars.

I''ve had my machine nearly a year now and can say it exceeded my expectations. It provides low maintenance free clean drinking water just as it says, and there is no problem creating 7 gallons of drinking water a day if you use that much. With that written, the only downside of this machine is Ecoloblue''s manual and lack of sound instructions for maintenance. They seem to make it far too complex then it is.

Ecoloblue simply needs to put up YouTube videos on how to assemble their filters, replacement and general issues. If they did that it would make their customers'' lives a whole lot easier. There''s a one month cleaning schedule and three month filter replacement schedule (as well as a 6 month filter and 2 year replacement for other types of filters).

The filters are inexpensive. One more note is Ecoloblue is really a good company for helping its customers deal with their questions. Someone will walk you through the process on the phone, and others will offer to come to your house if you''re within a reasonable distance from their headquarters. They''re customer service is really good and you can rely on this company, they''re not all about money but care about the unique and revolutionary quality of their product to change the world.

We just returned from a visit with my husband''s sisters. They had recently purchased this machine and we were SO impressed with the sweet, pure, great-tasting water it produces and I am VERY picky about the taste of water. We had planned to install a whole-house reverse osmosis system, but I think we will purchase one of these instead. The best water I have ever tasted!

I got this machine to help with the go green effort around the globe. it has exceeded my expectations. It makes water from the atmosphere! from the humidity. Only plug it in and it makes water. cold and hot. you don''t need to hook it up to a water line or anything. so you can virtually put it anywhere. And i have stopped buying containers with waters. So, I''m saving the earth and some money!

I would recommend this product to anyone!

Buy Swift Green Filters SGF-W10 Refrigerator Water Filter Now

I bought a four-pack of the Swift SGF-W10, which it promotes as a "green" alternative to the Whirlpool 4396701. Well, it does cut down on your water use -to zero. I tried two of the Swift replacement filters, and neither one fit into my fridge. A waste of a good chunk of money.

Breville BES250XL Cafe Venezia 15-Bar Stainless-Steel Espresso Machine

Breville BES250XL Cafe Venezia 15-Bar Stainless-Steel Espresso MachineI''m not sure why this espresso machine has such a low rating (note: small sample size), but the Cafe Venezia espresso machine has been magical ever since I bought it in March 2010. Since this machine was a bit more complicated than my previous machine, it took a little while to get everything exactly the way I liked it, but now the machine is pretty much perfect.

My one and only complaint would be that it seems to use a lot of water for non-coffee making/milk frothing activities. I''m assuming it''s doing some self cleaning or whatnot, and it''s not all that big of a deal since this thing holds a good amount of water, but the trough (as I like to call it) seems to get filled with water pretty quickly. But really, I''m just nitpicking.

I grind my coffee using a burr grinder on the extra fine setting, and the machine has never blown up on me except for the first time I used it (All espresso machines do this to me for some reason). The frothing wand needs to be cleaned regularly, and if not it turns a weird color, but even if I''m now drinking poison, I welcome my delicious, aromatic death.

We were given this espresso machine as a Christmas present and absolutely LOVED it. We were making our special lattes every morning, the coffee tastes great, everything was working just fine... untillll... water started shooting out of the electronic buttons as tears flowed from my face. It looked like the machine was crying with me. It was a tragic day. We are now debating whether or not we should get the same one and pray for the best or try a different model...

This machine requires a lot of maintenance to stay functional. Each of the filters needs all the little holes unclogged between almost every use or else it gets clogged a huge time suck. The coffee is luke-warm and although the crema is thick and beautiful, the flavor is mediocre. I wish I still had my simple Kitchen-Aid one that was half the price, reliable & low maintenance.

This machine looks good, thats it. Everytime you use it you have to unblock the tiny holes in the filter with this needle type tool, washing the filter isn''t enough! This is a major pain! The espresso is not hot, but is does test nice.

So if you want a machine that looks good but aren''t going to use it then this is the one, but if you make espresso everyday like me then buy something else.

I looked forward to the delivery of this Breville Cafe Venezia espresso/cappuccino machine after much research on the internet as well as phone calls to a few vendors. It was to replace the two units I sequentially owned which were sold by Starbucks, and manufactured by Saeco USA. This Breville model had the same 15 bar pressure, a really nice look, and a similarly large capacity reservoir for water which many units do not. I thought I was home free. NO. It leaked water quite sufficiently between the head and the filter holder (portafilter) which drooled down into the coffee carafe. Then I found that the milk steamer/frother just could not do the job. I''ve been making frothed milk (from half & half, whole milk, 2% milk and soy) for a couple decades now successfully, and this machine just doesn''t do it.

I returned the machine and found that with some adjustments with my Saeco portafilter (the mechanism with a handle which holds the filter basket and inserts into the brewing head) that my original machine itself was still continuing to work just fine. So if you''re looking for a well made espresso/cappuccino machine I''d suggest picking out one that''s made by Saeco. They really seem to know what they''re doing. I''ve had two machines (their current model, Via Venezia, which was sold by Starbucks under two different private labeling: first the Estro Vapore, and later, the Barista). This machine doesn''t grind your beans for you, but it''s a workhorse and a nice looking unit as well.

I found Brevelle''s citrus juicer to be a 5-Star machine and was in hopes that their espresso machine would follow-up with the same quality -but no, I was very unhappy with Breville''s Cafe Venezia.

BISSELL Spot Clean Pro Portable Deep Cleaner Save 1% Off

BISSELL Spot Clean Pro Portable Deep Cleaner, 3624in a nutshell:

* Light-weight, easy to move about the house

* Just add hot water and 2-ounces of the included cleaner

* Really gets the carpet clean -works as good as the large grocery-store rental units

There are only two minor things I''d add to this product if I could:

* Wheels (though it is not too heavy, wheels would allow you to tackle a bigger stain faster)

* A retractable power cord. However, the cord is long, which is very convenient.

This is the perfect product for pet owners, parents -and clumsy people like myself. :-)

It would also be ideal for restaurants and stores with carpets for fast clean-ups.

(TOP 10 REVIEWER) Length:: 4:55 Mins

The Bissell Spot Clean Pro Portable Deep Cleaner is a compact sized little machine that is easily transportable and reasonably easy to use. I''m not convinced it''s the best choice for cleaning carpet and upholstery at this price point however. It gets high marks for portability but it''s cleaning prowess leaves something to be desired and it is only intended for small clean-ups but certainly not for cleaning an entire room. It is truly a spot cleaner.

The unit itself is roughly the size of a basketball I suppose. The power cord is generous in length while the actual hose is just about right in length although I did think a bit more length might have been desirable... just a bit more.

Essentially there are two reservoirs, one for holding the cleaning solution, the other for holding the dirty water. Bissell provides two cleaning attachments, one is wider and intended for stairs, the other is small and intended for small stains. Also provided is a small bottle of cleaning solution. You fill, or partially fill the clean water tank with hot tap water and then add a small amount of cleaning solution to it. The cleaning solution is run through a small tube inside the hose to a nozzle at the end of the hose. A button on the handle of the hose releases the cleaning solution onto the area that you need to clean. Using either one of the provided cleaning tools, you gently brush the area to be cleaned and then use the suction of the machine to suck the dirt out of the rug or upholstery.

The suction seemed adequate and after moving the tool over the wetted area numerous time, until no more water is seen entering the hose, the cleaned area is damp to the touch, but not soaking wet.

I had mixed results using this machine on several different stains. In most cases it was possible to still see a faint remnant of stain but it was certainly a lot better than if left uncleaned. In some cases the stain or dirt was completely removed with no trace whatsoever.

The machine was somewhat noisy but it has to be somewhat noisy given its purpose. It did seem to provide adequate suction to remove the cleaning solution from the area being cleaned. I also felt that it held an adequate amount of cleaning solution given that this is intended as a spot cleaner.

Clean up of the machine is not quite as easy as you might think. Emptying the dirty water tank is easy enough but a surprising amount of carpet fibers and gunk remains in the hose and cleaning tool after use. I gave up trying to completely clean the hose and cleaning tool as it just was too difficult. I guess it doesn''t have to be cleaned to a state of pristine, but if you''re put off by gunk, just be forewarned that you''ll have your work cut out for you to keep the hose and cleaning tools sparkling clean after using it.

There are other carpet/upholstery cleaning machines made by other companies, for instance this Hoover machine: Hoover SteamVac Carpet Cleaner with Clean Surge, F5914-900 that are operated more like a stand-up vacum cleaner that might be easier to use for some people since they don''t require stooping down to use. And the cost is just a small amount more for that type of machine.

This Bissell Spot Clean Pro is more effective on some clean-ups and less effective on others, depending on the stain. It is certainly compact and easily moved around. Clean up can be a bit of a chore.

If you''re looking for a small sized machine for occasional, small clean-up jobs, this will probably work for you. If you think you want to clean large areas or entire rooms, this is definitely not what you want. I think it''s OK if a bit on the pricey side.

I live with a 13-year-old incontinent shih-tzu and my 91-year-old father, so when I was offered a Bissell Spot Clean Pro Deep Cleaner I jumped at the chance. With white carpet and my two aforementioned roommates, a carpet cleaner was definitely in order. This little Bissell is a godsend. It is easy to maneuver, fairly light yet sturdy, and it cleans like nobody''s business.

I had another spot cleaner that worked okay, but nothing like this Bissell. It was a cordless model that only lasted about 5 minutes before it needed recharging. This model runs on electricity so that is not an issue. I am able to clean all the nasty spots in our house in one fell swoop. No more constant recharging and no more refilling tiny receptacles. This is a substantial feeling unit that feels more expensive than it is. I am extremely happy with this spot cleaner. My old cleaner is going to the Goodwill and this new one is my go-to spot remover. 5 stars!

I have a large upright carpet cleaner that does a good job of cleaning carpets, but it''s a chore to get it out, get it set up, and to get it cleaned afterwards. And while it has attachments for upholstery and spot cleaning, it doesn''t do quite as good of a job as on carpets. So, I thought that a portable spot cleaner might be what I''m looking for these types of chores, and decided to give this cleaner, the BISSELL Spot Clean Pro Portable Deep Cleaner a try. Below are my pro''s and con''s for this deep cleaner.

Pros:

Ergonomics! I was very impressed at how well it all fit together. From the hose "reel" to the unit''s space-saving size to the twist-out way you secure the power cord, it all fits together well. I even like how it looks ... like a small robot. :-)

Water/cleaning fluid capacity. You can handle a large job without having to run back and refill. The flip side of this is that the unit can get heavy when fully loaded, but you don''t have to fill the water tank up all the way if you don''t want to.

It did a good job on most stains, and did a better job on upholstery than my larger unit.

It comes with two cleaning heads ... a wider one and a narrower one, so you can choose the one that better fits your job.

The power cord is very long, helpful for jobs like moving around the room to clean several chairs without having to unplug/replug.

The suction (to pull water into the waste tank) is good.

Cons:

It''s noisy when you''re sitting next to it. It probably has to be in order to generate sufficient suction, but consider ear-plugs if you''re sensitive to louder noises.

My larger carpet cleaner does a better job on toughest stains on the carpet. Some of this is a function of how much elbow grease you''re willing to expend with the Bissell, but the powered brushes on the big units will do a better job with less effort. And if you have something really icky/sticky on your furniture or carpeted stairs, consider pre-treating for better results.

Other impressions that aren''t a pro or a con:

Although the hose length is adequate, another three feet or so would have been nice.

It was easier to set up and easier to clean than my large carpet cleaner, but not by as much as I was hoping. It is considerably easier to move around and to store, though.

You do get your money''s worth here, but if you don''t already have a carpet cleaner, I''d recommend you spend just a little more money and get a large upright carpet cleaner, as this unit wasn''t designed to clean entire carpets. It could, but it would take you a lot longer.

Overall, this is a great unit. It did a very good job on my chairs and couches, and on several recent stains on my carpet, including some chocolate ice cream dropped by my five year old while I was first using this cleaner. (I don''t know how a girl so graceful can also occasionally be so clumsy!) It won''t replace your upright cleaner, but that''s not its goal. Five stars.

The Bissell Spot Clean Pro is a compact, solidly built little powerhouse for your small and quick carpet cleaning jobs. It comes out of the box ready to use. Just fill up your reservoir , plug in your unit and you are ready for some seriously deep cleaning. **note: This product is not intended for large areas so look elsewhere if you are wanting to do all your carpets and rugs. For small cleanup jobs however, the Spot Clean Pro excels.

The entire unit seems well constructed. If you plan on using this a lot, make sure to purchase some extra cleaning fluid as you aren''t given much in the starter bottle. The sprayer works well and the cleaning brush scrubs away at a high rate of speed. Changing out the fluid is a bit awkward and I spilled just a bit the first time until I got used to it. No biggie. Also, the electric cord is not all that long at 22 inches so an extension cord for more length might be in order depending on where you plan to use this.

The specific need I have for this machine is due to my father''s hobby which involves working on cars in the garage. At his age (82) he no longer remembers to wipe his feet or avoid steeping in grease and as a result there are numerous small ''accidents'' that I ever must deal with or live with black grease and oil spots on our otherwise pristine carpets. I can''t get him to be any more careful and that''s where this machine comes in VERY handy!

If I catch them quickly enough, I have been able to get up numerous oil and grease stains with a minimal amount of effort. What more could I ask for!

This machine is also very adept at cleaning the inside of your car. (not to mention stairs) My only real complain is the NOISE it makes, but almost everything bothers me in that regard and I just put in a pair of earplugs or my earbuds and rock out while cleaning.

For small jobs that require something that is both portable and fits into small spaces, the Spot Clean Pro really cleans up!

Veranda Air Conditioner Cover, SquareThis is an excellent cover. It didn''t have a perfect fit, but I knew ahead of time since our AC size is 29Wx29Dx37H. It is good enough to cover the unit from the rain, etc. And the it has a good weight to it so the cover should stay put with heavy wind. The material of this product is very heavy duty in my opinion. One of the corner has an opening where your pipe goes (even though it''s not picture) so that''s an extra feature that I was afraid I had to cut when it arrives. But, it''s all good. Buy this if you need a cover and the AC unit is smaller than the cover.

Can''t be beat! I love these covers. Have one for my BBQ and my A/C unit and they are super durable and very nice looking. Made very well! Highly recommended.

This well constructed AC compressor cover is designed for a 29X29 compressor, but fits my 25X25 compressor OK with the help of the included bottom drawstring. Materials are of good quality. Keeps leaves from collecting inside unit during winter. Also keeps pets from spraying condenser coils. Cover has handles on the sides to make it even easier to slip on and off. The only thing missing: a bag to put it in when summer comes around. The beige color is inoffensive and blends in with my house color, though some might wish for a choice of colors. BTW, one corner has a slit/flap. I discovered that was needed to allow it to slip over the power and freon lines leading to the AC unit (which are not shown in any sales photos).

Hamilton Beach 80675 Permanent Gold Tone Filter Save 100% Off

Hamilton Beach 80675 Permanent Gold Tone Filter, 8 to 12-CupsThe "Hamilton Beach 80675 Permanent Gold Tone Filter" WORKS VERY NICELY in the "Hamilton Beach 47665 BrewStation Plus 12-Cup Automatic Drip Coffeemaker"!!!!!! : D

Please note & I cannot stress this enough it ONLY works well in the Hamilton Beach BrewStation ***PLUS*** models. It will be loose in the basket, shift around, & be forever uncentered in the cheaper version of the Hamilton Beach BrewStation the next grade down (models 47224, 47114, 47214, 47221, 47111, & the like) which has a totally different basket & housing design than the BrewStation Plus models. Oddly enough, one of the NON-Plus BrewStation models IT DOES NOT FIT is actually pictured on the box for this filter & it erroneously states "Fits All BrewStation Coffeemakers" but it *will NOT fit well at all* in that model, as people have already pointed out in disgust below, & rightly so.

I bought a permanent filter locally made by Mr. Coffee, & it fit the basket circumferance wise but it stood too high to close the lid to the Hamilton Beach BrewStation PLUS. And where I live, it''s the only permanent filter sold in town. So I returned it, & I ordered this model instead. And Wha-Laaa!!! The Hamilton Beach Permanent Filter 80675 works just as nice as a paper filter in the BrewStation PLUS. Maybe nicer, as the water seems to drain better. No wild overflows, & no messy coffee coated water distributer left in the wake of the brewing cycle. Just nice coffee.

It''s too bad Hamilton Beach flubbed & pictured the wrong BrewStation model on the box to go with this filter instead of one of the BrewStation PLUS models that it actually does fit. I''m not surprised to hear people who have the NON-Plus BrewStations are ticked. This filter, like the Mr. Coffee Permanent Filter, will not stay centered in the basket & will shift around loosely in a NON-Plus regular BrewStation basket by about a half inch. My guess is the water at times would completely miss this basket in these NON-Plus models & flow directly into the coffee tank. And I can see where it may perhaps even overflow in other brands that require a higher standing basket, like the Mr. Coffee Filter. This filter fits the Brewstation PLUS basket circumferance much more closely than it will fit in the regular (& more cheaply made) Hamilton Beach BrewStation. It fits so naturally in my BrewStation PLUS, & it''s just become part of the appliance. The only giveaway that it''s really an accessory is that it''s brown, instead of black like the coffee machine.

If you have a Hamilton Beach BrewStation PLUS (& it has to be the PLUS version of the Brewstation, or you will be really unhappy with its performance & your brew) I recommend giving this filter a shot.

I hope my "field work" helps people to avoid buying bad fitting filters, to leave soggy, ripping, spilling, dripping paper filters in the past where they belong, & to finally get their coffee. :)

For those curious about the "Hamilton Beach 47665 BrewStation Plus 12-Cup Automatic Drip Coffeemaker" performance, please see my other reviews.

Yours truly,

"Starbucks Rogers" : D

I have used a gold-tone filter for years so purchase for one to go with my new Brewstation Plus (Model 47686) was a "no brainer." Unfortunately, it was too tall to allow the lid on the brewstation to close properly. Yes, it''s the Brewstation PLUS the one that this filter is supposedly made to fit.

Rather than go through the "return this one and search for one that fits" hassle, I shaved the top of the filter down (exacto blade and a steady hand) until the coffeemaker top would close properly. It fits slightly loosely in the coffeemaker but that doesn''t seem to be a problem (I was concerned that water might spill over the top during brewing and carry grounds out of the basket and into the coffee it doesn''t).

The filter gets five stars for performance but loses one since it didn''t fit the way it was supposed to.

Bottom line: After the "modification" described, this coffeemaker-filter combination of filter makes great coffee.

We just bought a 47665 Brewstation Plus, and contrary to another revier''s comments, this filter is too small. We also have an older/regular brewstation (47224), and the fit mismatch was even worse on that model. So I don''t really know which Hamilton Beach coffeemaker this thing is designed to fit, but it certainly isn''t the 47665 or 47224. We will be returning this item.

My 4 out of 5 is due to HBeach not supplying a permanent gold filter in the first place for the "Hamilton Beach ''The Scoop'' Two Way Brewer Single Serve and 12 cup Coffee Maker". The lil guy works pretty good for HB "The Scoop" machine. It''s not a tightly snug fit, but it''s good enough. The slight sediment that gets through is normal of any permanent filter; it''s all worth it for the oils in the coffee that get trapped with paper filters. Just don''t drink the last cup and you''ll be fine guy. :)

After using this filter for several weeks I have found that it is very easy to use and clean. No more fuse with paper filters. Just rinse and it''s ready for use. I wish I''d gotten one years ago.

The directions are not very clear how to assemble the stand. The all important missing line is "Tap the bottom of Part B to remove bottom wooden bar, then insert Part A, replace the bar on part B". The bar that I am referring to is put together with wooden pegs. After a half hour, we started tapping on the parts, and the bar finally came loose. It reminded me of a Chinese puzzle until then. ;-).

The product is excellent and the company is A1.
