Be careful, the second picture shows at the top that it''s a picture of 0.1Micron Biostone NOT 0.01Micron Biostone. The 0.01Micron filter has a (white looking) Ultra Fine Filter in the top section not a (black looking) Silver Activated Carbon. The one I received says Calcium where it should read Tourmaline. I had to use it anyway... I''ll probably cut it open when it''s used up and we''ll see then...

Then we bought this replacement filter through Amazon and it made all the difference. It was like our ionizer machine was back to new again. Our water tastes clean, smooth and fresh again, and our bodies feel great after drinking it. You can really taste the difference with a new filter. So now, we get a new filter anytime the water starts to taste even slightly different.

I really want Adya to live up to the hype. We need things like this desperately in these times. However, I''m very skeptical of its claims based on the very limited actual information available to me. So instead of talking about what health benefits you feel, I''ll throw out here in this review what I have unmistakably noticed objectively. My water bottle always stinks after being out hiking all day. The water tastes flat and the bottle stinks, especially in the summer. When I put adya clarity into this water the bottles don''t stink. I used it primarily for this purpose, so I didn''t have to keep washing my stinky bottles every day. The water also definitely taste better with Adya, too, most noticeably after being out hiking all day, the water didn''t taste as "flat." I''ve repeated this experiment over a year''s time, with the smell and flat taste. Adya also does cause stuff to precipitate out of water visibly. I''ve done the experiments like the one Matt Monarch did on the episode, and it does indeed work. More yellowish settling at the bottom with tap water than with purified water. Some really clean waters precipitate out nothing visible. So this much is true about Adya. What it can do for you, I''d like more research on, please.

I am pretty particular about coffee. I like to gind my own beans and have never used a perc coffee pot in the past. But we were having a huge family gathering and I needed a lot of coffee.I ordered this Party Perk machine and when it came in I almost returned it because it seemed so flimsy, but I figured I''d give it a chance.
I''m glad I did. All the information I read on the Internet about coffee said that perc''d coffee is not very good because the water is boiled and constantly recirculated through the grounds and this does not equate to how to achieve the best tasting coffee.
Well, while this was not the BEST coffee I have ever had, the coffee was none-the-less very good. I used Berkley and Jensen ground coffee (available at BJ''s Wholesale club)and I could not have been more pleased with the results from this Party Perk. I used a little more than 2-1/2 cups of ground coffee for the full 42 cups and the information I read about expecting the pot to brew the coffee at one cup per minute seemed pretty accurate.
There were a lot of compliments on how good the coffee tasted. It did not taste burned, even after being kept warmed in the pot for a few hours.
I cannot comment on the durability of the machine as I haven''t had it that long. My parents saw this pot and remarked that they had the same one for many many years before they gave it away and never had the first bit of trouble with it.
The coffee maker makes a decent cup of coffee. Our only problem was we had 4 large cans of coffee in the cupboard that we could no longer use. We wound up wrapping them for Christmas presents. This coffee maker uses a courser ground coffee than the ADC makers. Luckily our grocery store has whole beans that you can grind to your specs.
My husband says he only wishes that it would come with a timer. I mentioned to him that this is normally used at a social function. We solved the problem with a timer that plugs into the outlet that we plug the maker into.
Eventually when this one goes out, we''ll buy another one like this. The size and style fits well on our counter under the cupboard. It takes about 40-45 mins for a full pot to brew.

My family is now on our third Keurig Brewer and all three have failed within 6 months. First the machine brews smaller and smaller portions, then it stops brewing altogether. We loved the concept and variety the Keurig offered however it''s performance has been dismal. I bought two of this carbon filter model in addition to a bunch of the sediment filters.
The first carbon filter I installed did an awesome job. The water came out crystal clear with no odor. I stopped using the Brita for drinking water even.
That lasted about 3 weeks and the smell returned and the water got rusty again over a period of a couple days.
So I replaced the prefilter and the carbon filter with new ones. And the water was again clear and odorless. But this time it only lasted about 3 days until the odor returned.
I checked the filter and it doesn''t look dirty. The flow is still strong with no noticeable pressure loss. I keep the pressure at 40 PSI.
If they were to continue working like the first one did, I would be happy to pay for these relatively expensive filters. But I think they must be developing channels in the filter and becoming ineffective. There is no other explanation for how the filter can look clean, have no pressure drop, and lose it''s filtration properties so quickly.
I''m going to have to try other brands.

I purchased this filter several times. The first time it worked great with nice tasting water and a good price.The next time I felt comfortable stocking up so I got three of them. Big mistake. The chlorine taste from our city water didn''t go away. I tried re-seating the gasket and other tweaks to the system. It turned out to be the filter..it just didn''t work, so I tried another one. Same thing. It looked fine physically but didn''t filter the chlorine. And if I can taste the chlorine, what about all the other things that you can''t see or taste--the ones you have to trust the filter company for? I won''t buy these ones again!
This one worked the first time: Culligan D-40-D Level-4 Drinking Water Replacement Cartridge But I only got this one time so far, More expensive but supposedly filters more bad stuff (lead etc.)

BTW: Amazon does a really bad job with listing these filters. There is no data (or inconsistent data) listed about what these filters do. Examples: How many microns do they filter? Are they for sediment? Chlorine? VOCs? Lead? etc. etc. These are all BASIC facts that should be on the label but aren''t on the amazon product pages. I love amazon, but these pages need improvement.

This is the third filter I''ve received from this company, and I find that the quality hasn''t faltered at all. I still get clean, pure water that tastes great...what more can you ask from a water filter? I have a Hague 96 whole-house water conditioning system and this works just as well (if not better) than the filter the dealer installed for $120.00 total. We notice no chlorine smell or taste at all, and the rest of the system functions perfectly to spec with this filter. I figure a filter every few months is better (especially with chlorinated water)than having to replace the whole machine in two years. Brita 35530 Ultramax Dispenser
I had been using the smarller Britta pitcher(holds 5 glasses). That works wonderfully by the way,just too small for larger families or serious water drinkers. The only complaint with that was the size caused me to have to fill it constanly as I drink a lot of water. So I decided to upgrade. First I purchased the faucet mount filter and was disappointed. The thing moves slower than molassas! I returned that and was going to get a standard pitcher filter setup but decided to go with this one because it was only four dollars more than a pitcher that held ten glasses of water. This provides 18 glasses of the best tasting water ever. I live in an area where our water is reputed to be among the best in the country(at least that what the local officials say) and this only improves on it!! Now I fill this up,put it on a shelf in the fridge and voila,I have great tasting ice cold water at my fingertips. I think this is much more cost effective than buying bottled water. The best part of it all? My kids have now become water drinkers!! It might be because of the easy to use tap,which by the way makes this much more convienant to use as opposed to the pitcher. Although they swear that they drink more water now because it "just tastes better".I am, so far, very pleased with this sytem. I think it is a wise investment.

Let me repeat this. These filtration people are selling you a cheap plastic tub with sand in the top and a nozzle on the bottom. The only high tech thing about this is the electronic filter-alarm doohickey that I''ve never even turned on. Use it until the water just won''t go through it any longer. By that time you''ll probably just want to buy a brand new one.
Edit: I was trying to make as simple a statement as possible about how infrequently you REALLY need to change your filter. The activated charcoal inside the filter can absorb so much more than the company would have you believe. If you use this for a city water source, the only thing you''ll really need it to filter is chlorine. If you begin to taste chlorine in your filtered water, change your filter. I use mine for well water, so all I need is to filter any detritus that may come up from the ground. Therefore, as long as the water flows, I won''t need to change my filter.

This product is markedly inferior to its main competitor, the Pur 2-Stage Dispenser. Specifically, I found two main flaws:1. The spigot draws water from at least an inch and a half up from the base of the dispenser. As a result, quite a lot of water is left inaccessible for drinking, even after tipping over the dispenser.
2. Even more infuriatingly, the spigot''s connection to the main housing is so poorly designed that it eventually starts to leak water all over the place. The first dispenser I purchased started to leak after 1 week. I dutifully exchanged it for another one, which proceeded to leak after about 2 weeks. It appears that the "O-ring" that connects the spigot to the main housing shrinks when it gets cold. . . a rather fatal flaw for an item intended for use in a refrigerator.
Despite being a lifelong Brita user, I exchanged this product for a Pur 2-stage dispenser. I am now converted and will never go back. The dispenser is rock solid, and the water even tastes better!

With a product of this capacity I expected a better product. The current design had my common sense kick in to simply purchase a sink attachment filter after a few tests over a 90 day period. Well ok, the last 60 some odd days of use, the first thirty I mistakenly trusted the design to perform.I like brita and filtered water, but I had to throw this out.
Mold, slimes, and a few other items that are hazardous to a persons well being are the main issue. Even with weekly cleaning there was some biological return. The worst was testing the filter after 58 days.
The filter itself contained a plethora of microscopic crawlies. Nothing fatal, but we cultured a bunch of varieties that cause bad breath, stomach, and throat issues. All of which were also found in the ''clean'' water in the well below.
Three kinds of fungi had invaded a previously pristine, chef quality, fridge. All growing from the protected colony in this huge reservoir.
I''d have to recommend a smaller capacity pitcher or in a family sized home a faucet attachment. If you are going to pay for something to give you clean water, you might as well get clean water.

Many of the negative reviews that claim mold problems are actually authored by the same person. After viewing some of his/her reviews of other prodcuts, I noticed another "mold" review for an unrelated product. I think it''s safe to say that the reviewer has issues with mold, and that it''s not a result of the brita filter.We''ve been using this product for 8+ years with no problems whatsoever. Only drawback (other than price they should give these away for the amount of $$ you''ll spend for filters) is that it''s heavy when full and awkward to fill.
I just purchased a second unit today to use in our weekend house. Definitely would recommend if you like brita products and are tired of refilling the pitcher constantly.

This pitcher does what it says, but after using it for a few months I have to wonder if this pitcher is special enough to warrant the price. The ''pull in-pull out'' compartment that holds tea bags or lemons is nice. But the plastic is so thin after a few uses it starts to warp out of shape. If youre not supposed to pour hot water in the pitcher, what is the point of using it? I really like the slim-ness of the pitcher overall (fits in the fridge well), and I don''t mind its small capacity, but its overall fragile build leaves me wishing the manufacturers would have just created something more sturdy. I''d say someone is better off just brewing tea in a regular tupperware pitcher for half the price.
since i bought this two years ago, i have had none of the problems more recent users have mentioned. the plastic on my model seems quite sturdy, so i suspect even bodum has succumbed to cheap manufacturing in the interim.
as a convenient pitcher to cool and store iced tea in, its nice. and removing the tea leaves after brewing is simple with the insert--no need to juggle two containers and a seive. but it certainly isn''t a clever, easier way to make iced tea.

We just returned from a missions trip to New Mexico. We did not know what the quality of the water would be in the area so I purchased a water bottle for myself and my husband. We were at 7200 feet and in very dry air. We were reminded daily to drink a lot of water. My husband clipped his bottle around his belt and I put mine around my wrist. I put a D ring on the band close to the bottle and sewed a seam to keep it there. It made a wonderful loop strap to hook on the belt or the wrist. The strap does come with a clip, but you have to have something to clip it to. That would be the only negative thing as not everyone will want to add their own D ring. I suggest the bottle should come with a ring to form a loop with the strap. The velcro band made it easy to detatch the bottle when we wanted to drink. When I first placed the unit in the room, it ran whisper quiet. After two weeks of constant nightly use, it "rattles" when misting; the seal between parts no longer holds because water now pours through the juncture of parts. I exchanged it. Again, the unit worked well at first, but now after three months, the "rattle" and leakage is evident. I am thinking that regular use wears the parts too fast, maybe if I only used it once in a while. At the very least, I do like the design and the ease of set up. It may even be worth a round of replacement parts.

I have had it for 2 weeks, so I can''t speak for the longevity, but it''s very compact, good for use on an office on your desk. My only complaint so far is that on the low setting, the tank only lasts for about 5-6 hours, so you have to fill it twice for a typical work day. However because it''s so small, it''s not a big effort to carry it to sink to fill it. The only other downside, which doesn''t matter if you are using it on a desk, is that if you are planning to use it in your bedroom at night, it does emit a bright little blue led light when on, which might irritate you in a dark room, but I guess you could cover that up with duct tape or something. It does make a little bit of noise, but not enough to bother me. Oh, and it wouldn''t last all night, so I find myself when I get up to pee in the middle of the night, turning it off b/c it has run out. In the beginning it worked exactly as stated in manual: 6 hours on 2nd setting and 10 hours on 1st setting. After 2 weeks it made a lot of noise and did not blow any mist at all. There is one part which collects mineral deposits which I tried to clean with supplied brush. I cleaned it for half an hour and could not get it off. I used vinegar, but it did not help much. I have noticed that other humidifiers do not even have that part, but blow the air directly, while this one redirects it. Also, the light is annoying, I covered it with tape after a few days.Complete waste of money, I have returned it.
