Clear2o 1 Pitcher Filter

Clear2o 1 Pitcher FilterI use this on a boat which has a traditional steel faucet. The adapter to plug the hose in with comes with several sizing''s to make this possible. One worked. The pitcher fills quickly and the water is great. We can''t use this in our kitchen which has a big non-traditional faucet head, but otherwise this is easily the best pitcher on the market.

It is worlds faster than any drip pitcher (I have Brita and PUR) and it filters contaminants as well as any consumer grade filter I''ve researched.

KRUPSFME214Programmable 12-Cup Coffee Maker Save 21% Off

KRUPSFME214Programmable 12-Cup Coffee Maker with Glass Carafe and LED control panel, BlackI was a little concerned about opening up shop away from home, 3 states away, and having to leave my tried and true Krups Pro Aroma behind. Granted, its an 8 year old model, but it made a great cup of coffee, and I had mastered the fairly simple interface for programming and setup.

In my search, I read a LOT of negative reviews about the new Krups product family. Really not a surprise cause even the Pro Aroma had its many quirks, but still.....the coffee. So, after reading a bunch of bad reviews on Braun, Mr Coffee, Cuisinart, and Krups coffeemakers, I figured $60 was worth the risk to plunk down on this model. My first impression when I opened the box was that the coffemaker was solid and well constructed, but that the carafe was too light and thinly formed. But after two weeks of use I really cant find anything to complain about.

Yes, the carafe is very light, but I like it. And it pours well with no drips. I havent yet attempted to program the machine cause thats not a necessity for me, but hit the "ON" button and in about 5 minutes you have a fast, hot, and extraordinarily flavored pot of coffee. And this is honestly the best coffee I''ve ever had from this machine, even much better than my old Pro Aroma from the same manufacturer.

I dont know how Krups does it, and I dont care, this machine is just one of the best on the market today, and probably thee best when we''re talking about the quality of the end result...which is all that matters. 5 beans

Let me start by saying two things:

1. I love coffee. Personally, not counting my wonderful wife and staff at the office, I drink at least two _pots_ of coffee per day. Yes, that is over 120 fluid ounces every day, seven days a week. Needless to say I was pleased with each of the new health benefits announced regarding excess coffee consumption!

2. After researching reasonably priced, reliable coffee makers, we bought two of these Krups FME2-14 units: One to replace our aging Braun, and the other for our daughters'' apartment. This review encompasses experiences from both households.

There are many things to love about this coffeemaker, and a few (3) minor issues. I''ll touch on the issues first: With typical German precision, the water reservoir is designed to hold 60 fluid ounces, or 12 5-ounce cups worth. Not more, but I''m sure it can handle less, being well equipped with a 1-3 cup "small pot" mode. However, if (1) you launch into cleaning it and brewing coffee without really reading the user manual, and (2) you have the tendency to brew the fullest possible pot (as a conspicuous consumer such as myself might), you will quickly discover that the overflow port in the back wall of the water reservoir works exceedingly well. I did. As I wiped up the extra few cups of water rapidly dispensed upon my counter I made the mental note to only fill it with 12 cups henceforth. This is, obviously, a user issue; others who are experienced with pots brewing less than advertised will be pleased to note that 12 cups of water in really translates to 12 cups of coffee out. You do not need to overfill this coffeemaker''s reservoir, but you may have to relearn some behaviors.

The glass carafe, while well made and shaped in handling terms, is thinner walled than previous pots we''ve owned. This has two effects: First, the coffee cools faster when the hot plate turns off. Not that my coffee sits around too long, but if this is a potential issue for you I would buy the insulated carafe model. Second, it does not withstand much rough handling, as indicated by our need to purchase a replacement already for the daughters. One "light bump" in the sink was sufficient. It did make me wonder if the same engineer who designed windshields for the 60s VW Beetle was involved... regardless, don''t whack it or you''ll be picking up the pieces as well as the tab. My wife also adds that the replacement carafe, at over $20, was more costly than expected. Again: Exercise care in handling!

The final issue I have is the engineer''s choice of material for making the feet: Two round plastic knobs (in front) and two square rubberized feet (in back) give the coffeemaker a firm grip on your countertop. Unfortunately too firm if you keep the unit under a close overhang as we do. It does mean you have to lift the unit slightly when moving it in or out, something that''s easier to do when empty than full due to the overflow port mentioned earlier. Again, this is easily fixed with something slippery (like a silicone glide pad) that the machine can rest upon.

And as you can tell, none of these issues are true defects. In every other regard the Krups FME2-14 has been the best under $100.00 coffeemaker I have ever owned. The controls are logical and easy to operate, and it makes great brew. Unlike many inexpensive units, the steam does not readily escape from vents or cracks in the heating chamber or drip basket, so you can place it in a more confined space than others (bearing in mind the rubber feet) and it blends well in a modern kitchen. Most importantly, the product itself the coffee is consistent time after time. Whatever your personal formula for the perfect cuppa you''ll get it here!

I had a Krups purchased in 1999 that lasted 7 years it was the best coffee maker I have ever owned. After it died, I noticed that Krups was not making the same model so I bought a Braun KF510 (which I love and highly recommend).

I bought this Krups as a Christmas gift for my parents, and I was disappointed in the quality. The pot itself feels extremely thin (much thinner than my $35 Braun machine). It did not come with a gold mesh filter (or any filter)and the filter basket does not really fit properly with the machine, so it snags every time you close it.

Another problem is that you cannot turn the pot back on once it turns off: the machine tries to brew all over again, and then turns off after indicating there is no water. So, you must program the coffee pot to stay on longer, and if you want to keep it warm after it turns off, you cannot. I have never seen a coffee pot do this.

Overall, my Braun KF510 machine is sturdier and more well-made than this one. The Krups does make a good-tasting cup of coffee, and my parents seem happy with it. I think a better machine could be purchased for less money. I do not think it is worth the price.

Note: In all of my research while looking for decent coffee makers, Braun and Krups are the best on the market.

When my old roommate moved out with the fancy coffeemaker, I began searching for a replacement. Timer functions, 8+ cup capacity, and ease of use were indispensable features, but I just couldn''t afford a $100 machine. After a few weeks of comparison-shopping, I managed to find this model the only reputable one under $60.

Usage:

I have owned this for 1 year, and I use the machine every day, setting the timer function to brew a 2-cup pot every morning (for which the "1-3 cup" button is helpful). Occasionally I have brewed a full pot for company, and that''s worked fine.

The Good:

Brews well! The coffee may not be scaldingly hot, but it brews hot enough to retain heat in a mug while drinking, and if left in the pot on the hot plate it''s still the perfect drinking temperature 2 hrs later. Also, no strange flavors are imparted on the coffee.

Brews FAST! Seriously, the coffee is ready ten minutes before the toast unless I time things perfectly.

Very easy to clean and maintain the filter.

Very easy to settle pot onto hot plate, ensuring the coffee drips directly into carafe (unlike the comparable Cuisinart I tried, which resulted in dribbling coffee unless placed perfectly).

The Bad:

The carafe IS thin. I was initially very concerned about breaking it, but I have accidentally banged it several times in the sink and no chips yet...

The swing-out basket is a little cheap (well, compared to the $150+ mahcines). Sometimes if it''s not placed perfectly, I have to push it in with a clunking of plastic that doesn''t sound too elegant. But, it functions perfectly, so I don''t mind taking the time to set the basket in properly.

Higher-level programming is not intuitive. You really do need to read the manual for programming the timer, etc, although it''s not complicated, and you''ll remember it after 1 or 2 times.

The steam vent is quite strong, and if tucked away under a cabinet can warp the finish on the underside.

Common Complaints Addressed:

"The water level indicator on the front traps air and is inaccurate." Unfortunately, this is true. However, the gradations on the side of the carafe give me a fairly decent idea of how much water I''m adding, so I don''t feel the need to refer to an additional indicator.

"The machine will turn on automatically if the timer function is set." Well, yes it does. That''s why I just turn off the timer when I''m going out of town or don''t want coffee I drink it often enough that not having to set it every time is actually helpful. Some reviews have expressed concern of this being a fire hazard, but when there is no water the machine will not brew and instead display an error message, so I don''t think this is a danger.

"The machine/no-drip lid dribbles coffee while percolating/pouring." Huh... this has also never happened to me, not even when I brewed the full pot. Occasionally the "pause" mechanism doesn''t engage quickly when the pot is removed, and some coffee dribbles down, but this cleans up very easily afterwards. I have never had the lid leak while pouring a cup, or while the coffee was just sitting and percolating.

Summary:

For ~$60, I am very pleased with the performance of this model. It probably wouldn''t end up on a wedding registry, but for the basic needs of a daily coffee drinker, this is a great bargain. In fact, the only drawback I have encountered from using this coffeemaker is that I find myself drinking far too much coffee because it''s a breeze to make!

Want KRUPSFME214Programmable 12-Cup Coffee Maker Discount?

After a gazillion (happy) years with the Krups ProAroma, I decided to contemporize. Committed to staying in the Family Krups, I read bundles of FME-2 reviews and dismissed the negative, too-hard-to-program complaints, figuring that it''s a coffee maker -how hard can it be? I ordered the coffee maker, and after devoting waaay too much time to trying to understand the instruction manual, I decided to just eat the money spent and search for a different brand. But after seeing complaints of one sort or another about all brands/models, I decided to baby-step the FME-2 manual ... and now I''ve got it.

The automatic-on part was the trickiest, but it''s not as bad as some reviewers report: if you use the auto-on, let''s say, M-F, just tap the "h/min" just once after the coffee is made on Friday to deactivate the auto-on. Then (still with me?) on Sunday evening after you do the coffee/water thing, tap the "prog" button 3 times (think Kansas if it helps): you do NOT need to reset the time. It will hold the time you have already set, and you''ll see 6:30 AM (or whatever) flash before your eyes as you do it. The little clock icon will light, and you''re good to go.

True, the clock, itself, does not stay lit, and there is something sort of weird about not seeing the friendly glow as you waltz past the kitchen; but there''s always the stove clock, cable box clock, and microwave clock all aglow to reassure you that time is still marching on in the kitchen.

And ... the coffee is great, hot, and as long as the warmer plate is on, so is the ever-so-pretty blue clock (noting "on"). If the handle on the pot holds out (it does not have the "hook over the pot top" feature that we''re all used to), this seems to be yet another Krups success. (I still have to wonder, however, if the designers sat around a table deciding how to complicate the set-up process that had been so sensible on the ProAroma.)

May 2006 addendum: So much for being clever. To reactivate the automatic set time after deactivating it, tap the "prog" button 4 times, not 3: the first tap shows "PROG," the second shows the hour, the third shows the minutes, and the neglected-to-mention fourth completes the reactivation. Sorry about the error. So instead of thinking Kansas, think, um, the Beatles. Or the corners of the world. Or just try to remember it''s 4 taps....

FloJet BW4000 Bottled Water Dispensing System PLUS Save 23% Off

FloJet BW4000 Bottled Water Dispensing System PLUSI love this device. We place our five gallon bottles next to table and let this pump move the water to where we want it. We ran a split water line from the pump to the refrig and one to a faucet, so we have water without lifting heavily bottles. a life saver or back saver It''s was the best until its fails!

NOW THE BAD i used the system for a YEAR and a day and the internal pipe burst and water leak out from the unit. Since Warranty is only for a year, I discovered the case is not sealed, as I first thought, but is held in place by four clips that are built into the bottom half of the case, for those who are interested, 2cm before the corners.

After opening the unit the fix was easy, the output hose inside the unit (from the pump to the output fitting) busted under pressure. The manufacturer used the same type hose used from the pump unit to the water bottle, not good for pressure applications.

I repaired the unit using a Nylon Reinforced Faucet Supply Line, Part Number 507-F3120 and two hose clamps. After looking at the unit''s inners it seems to be well designed except for that 6" tubing.

A message to the manufacture: you have a fine product, fix this weak link inside the unit and you will have a great product. Remember happy customers increase sales.

I love this little device. We now place our five gallon bottles of water in a cabinet (out of sight) and let this little pump move the water to where we want it. We ran a split water line from the pump to the refrig and one to the Kuerig coffee maker, so now we have the best tasting water in both places. The pump automatically kicks on when we get chilled water from the frig, the frig makes ice or the coffee maker is brewing. No manual intervention required. It''s really a cool little pump.

Pros: Easy to setup and install

Con: It''s a little noisier than I wish. Even in a cabinet, you can hear it when it runs. It''s not an unacceptable noise though, just a humming sound.

Saeco 21103 Royal Professional Fully Automatic Espresso Machine

Saeco 21103 Royal Professional Fully Automatic Espresso Machine, Silver and BlueUnlike the review below we''ve been lucky in that we''ve had no problems with our unit.

It''s been exactly 3 years since we purchased our machine and we haven''t looked back. The machine was bought as we were spending $40-50 a week at Starbucks. Now we use organic milk and beans and make our own latte''s at home.

The machine is super easy to use. There are various settings for the grinding and dose of coffee. I just set the dose on max and change the grind depending on what beans I use. The machine gives you 3 sizes of coffee depending on what you want. The steam wand works well but can only be used after coffee dispensing is finished. It takes 15-25sec for the steam wand to really start.. steaming. The cappuchinore on my machine doesn''t work but I only tried to use it after we had the machine for 2 years so I''m not bothered too much. I also have the direct water connection to my reverse osmosis system. So I haven''t had to de-scale yet and might never need to.

Another useful item is the rinsing cycle where the machine runs hot water through itself for 10mins. At the end you get to see how much "dirt" was cleaned out. Quite satisfying :)

The machine also has some idiot proof features. One is when you put in pre-ground coffee but then press the coffee button instead of the pre-ground button first. The machine makes some funky noises but then dumps everything out. I''m not proud to say I''ve done this more than once....

Overall through it''s the best $$$ I''ve ever spent and would highly recommend this machine. It might not be the cheapest (or most expensive!) but you get what you pay for!

p.s. the coffee is amazing!!!!!!!!!

This coffee maker makes excellent coffee and is able to make it quickly enough to safisfy 25 thirsty employees! The milk steamer is quick and efficient too!

Buy Saeco 21103 Royal Professional Fully Automatic Espresso Machine Now

This machine makes good espresso and good cappuccinos. In terms of fully automatic machines, its price is infinitely more reasonable than that of a Jura. The price of a Jura X9 at $6500 is about that of a commercial machine. This Saeco will do nicely until I get my Faema E61 or Prestige semi-automatic 2-groupers with a Mahlkonig grinder. I doubt if my commercial machine will make a much better espresso or cappuccino but I think a manual machine has fewer maintenace problems and I have more control over the milk foaming. However the Saeco does offer the manual steam wand as well as its cappuccitore (milk foamer) and they both work well. I also like the energy saver feature of the Saeco since I prefer not to power off the machine. I also like the cup warmer. The screen menu is easy to use and the different options and diagnostics are useful.

We''ve had our Royal Professional since August 2008. When it works, it works fine. For us, we only make 2-3 capppucinos/lattes per day, so if it isn''t flowing right that day (inexplicably), then it is annoying. It is back to Saeco for its 3rd repair for the same problems inconsistent coffee flow. Saeco cannot explain the cause of the problem, as they seemingly repair or replace different parts each time. BTW, they will ask you to be burdened with taking it to UPS or a UPS Store (where you will be charged the return shipping); If you escalate it to the Customer Service Manager, they will cover the shipping and have UPS come to your door. However, the point of buying a $1,400+ automatic machine is to expect it to reliably make 2-3 coffees when it doesn''t, the inconvenience of being without it for weeks at a time during repairs is unacceptable. Saeco is now offering to replace the unit, but with the negative comments on all their products, I am disappointed and exhausted with the brand. So, if you''re hoping to save your Starbucks or Caribou budget, not sure this is the answer.

Want Saeco 21103 Royal Professional Fully Automatic Espresso Machine Discount?

Very disappointing. We were convinced by the positive reviews from others so we went ahead after much research and ordered this espresso machine. it arrived, didn''t work (electronics problem) and the friendly Saeco customer service person told us to simply return it. This is our second attempt with a Saeco product and we have now given up on this brand. The first try was with a factory refurbished machine which never worked despite the fact that we went the extra mile and sent it back to the Saeco factory only to have it returned in the same inoperable condition. The Saeco 21103 Royal Professional was our second attempt, this time we got a totally new machine. The result was the same: a machine that didn''t even begin to work.

Thank heaven for Amazon and its splendid return policy. Save yourself the hassle and pass on this one.

Water Sentinel WSG-1 Replacement Fridge Filter (2-Pack) Save 30% Off

Water Sentinel WSG-1 Replacement Fridge Filter, 2-Pack
  • Economical alternative to expensive substitutes
  • Delivers clean, clear water that looks and tastes great
  • Will remove or reduce chlorine, tastes and odors that may be present in your drinking water
  • Does not remove minerals which may be beneficial to health
  • Designed to provide up to six months of life or 300 gallon

I was checking out these filters to replace the more expensive GE filters. According to Water Sentinel themselves, these filters are certified against ANSI/NSF Standard 42, and only Standard 42. That standard is soley for aesthetics; that is, the filter removes chlorine that makes the water taste bad. The GE filters are certified against ANSI/NSF Standards 42 and 53. Standard 53 is for the reduction of lead, mercury, Giardia and other cysts, asbestos, and many other chemicals. The Water Sentinel filters DO NOT remove these items. So, although the water tastes better than tap water, it is not any safer than tap water. If you''re buying filters only to improve the taste of the water, these are definitely less expensive than the GE filters. If you''re buying filters to improve the safety and quality of the water, stick with the GE filters.

From the ANSI website:

NSF/ANSI Standard 42: Drinking Water Treatment Units Aesthetic Effects

Overview: This standard covers point-of-use (POU) and point-of-entry (POE) systems designed to reduce specific aesthetic or non-health-related contaminants (chlorine, taste and odor, and particulates) that may be present in public or private drinking water.

NSF/ANSI Standard 53: Drinking Water Treatment Units Health Effects

Overview: Standard 53 addresses point-of-use (POU) and point-of-entry (POE) systems designed to reduce specific health-related contaminants, such as Cryptosporidium, Giardia, lead, volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), MTBE (methyl tertiary-butyl ether), that may be present in public or private drinking water.

I almost bought the Brita brand filter again after reading about all the people experiencing leak problems, but I couldn''t resist the savings. I''ve used the original GE MWF filter in my GE fridge, then switched to the Brita brand and have replaced several of those. I just recently found the WaterSentinal brand and it''s about a third of the cost of the Brita. I went to install it in my fridge and like many others my fridge just sprayed water everywhere. It screwed in all the way like it was supposed to, but wouldn''t stay sealed. When I opened the box I noticed another o-ring in there with a note that stated if it leaked then use this o-ring, so I quickly swapped out the o-ring and I was in business. I ran it for 5 minutes as they say to clear all the crud out, and I''m pleased to say that this filter works just as well as either the GE or Brita filter ever did. The flow is also noticeably faster too. Water and ice from this filter tastes the same, and I saved a bunch of cash! I''ll be buying again for sure.

Installation was a cinch. Does what it claims. Cheaper than the GE filter. However, I think it''s overpriced for what it is, but I guess they tailor their $ to GE''s cost which is just ridiculous.

I purchased this for my GE refrig and it does NOT work properly. No matter how many times I tried to install it, it continuously sprays water inside the refrigerator. I will say, however that the Water Sentinel is a good company and admitted that they have had more than one complaint about it not working on some GEs. They are sending out a new one that "should work" at no cost to me even though I didn''t order directly from them. So -just be aware that you may get one that is defective or just not compatible.

Caution, the Water Sentinel WSG-1 product is not a direct replacement for GE MWF water filter. The WSG-1 meets only NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for aesthetic affects, while the MWF also meets Standard 53 for health effects, reducing substances including cysts, lead, and mercury.

Also, the WSG-1 did not fit in my GE Profile refrigerator. I returned the WSG-1 units I ordered.

This review is being written for Amazon.com on 11/27/2010 for the Watts 531204 2-stage water filter.

This is a compact under-sink filter supplied with a dedicated water faucet for kitchen sink applications.

Easier to install if:

You already have a hole in the sink area to install the dedicated faucet (such as by eliminating an existing sink sprayer or lotion dispenser already installed in your home)

Your plumbing is fairly modern with standard size fittings

Your existing water shutoff valves function OK.

Your existing faucet to shutoff valve piping is flexible hose vs. hard pipe.

Harder to install if:

You need to drill a hole for the faucet mounting.

Your home has older water piping, such as iron pipe with non-standard fitting sizes.

Your shutoff valves are stuck and will not close.

Your existing faucet to shutoff valve connection is hard pipe vs. flexible hose.

Pro''s:

compact unit does not take too much space under the sink

much easier filter change than the average under-sink water filter

Con''s:

proprietary filters not widely available

This water filter is not fancy, does not do "reverse osmosis" and so forth. It''s a basic carbon filter with a sediment pre-filter.

Installation:

Turn off the cold water sink shutoff valve under the sink, open the faucet to verify the water truly shuts off. If no, then you may need to shutoff you whole house water supply (and replace the sink shutoff valve sometimes, too).

Mount the dedicated faucet (drilling hole to mount it if you do not already have one). Attach the plastic water tubing to the bottom of the faucet.

Mount the filter frame to the side of the kitchen cabinetry below your sink.

Remove the cold water supply going from the shutoff valve to the faucet.

Install the tee valve on the shutoff valve.

Re-install the cold water supply from the tee valve to the faucet (easy if the piping was flexible tubing. If hard piping, then the piping may need to be cut and fit).

Install the plastic tubing from the tee valve to the filter assembly intake.

Install the plastic tubing form the dedicated faucet to the filter output.

Open the dedicated faucet.

Turn on the cold water shutoff valve, and allow the water to run for several minutes to flush the system.

Check for leaks.

In my case, I had a hard iron pipe installation with frozen connectors, no shutoff valves under the sink, and a hard pipe water supply to the existing faucet. I found the easiest method was to buy an adapter from the iron pipe to the standard faucet connector, installed new shut-off ball valves there, and I replaced the existing faucet with a modern one that could use the flexible hose supply connections.

The quality of the dedicated faucet is not superb, but approximately what I expected for the price of this kit. The faucet spout moves when the valve is turned to the on position or back to off. However, after a year of usage, the system has not leaked.

Filter change of this unit is very easy compared to the average undersink filter kit. You turn off the cold water shutoff valve, push a button on the filter housing and remove/replace the filters (six month interval suggested). On the downside, these filters are proprietary (order from the manufacturer website as they are generally not available in stores).

I''ve used several different undersink filter kits over the years, and this one gets top marks for ease of filter change. It gets OK marks for completeness of the kit. And OK marks for quality of the dedicated faucet.

The water in this household has sediment/rust issues (related to the old iron pipes), so the 1st stage of prefilter helps there. I was wondering if the sediment would clog the screening leading into the filter or within the filter itself, and that has not happened. The second stage of the filter is a carbon block and performs the main filtering function. Water tastes OK from the unit. It''s best to always let it run a bit before using in order to flush the filter.

Replacement Pre-Filter Cartridge 4-Pack Rhino® Whole House Systemwe bought these for our aquasana whole house filter. i had alway suspected our city water was bad but i had no idea how bad until i started using these for our system. we changed them once a month and to see them go from pure white to the nastiest brown you could imagine in 30 days. wow. our water now is cleaner, no particles floating around, the chlorine smell is gone and the water acutally feels softer.

We purchased the Aquasana whole house water system August 2011. After 1 year, it was the best investment we have ever made for our bodies and our home. Tasty, clear drinking water and wonderful showers that are free of chemicals and smells. Once you see how brown and full of particles the filter is after a very short time, you know you made the right decision. We put in a new filter every 3 months... so I am reordering another year of filters. Pretty cheap to run a year of water through for $15.95!!

Excellent price on the set of filters. I change my water filter about as often as I change my air filters (three months), or I will change it sooner if it looks dirty. I love my whole house water filter.

Whirlpool 25 Cu. Ft. Black Side-By-Side Refrigerator

Whirlpool 25 Cu. Ft. Black Side-By-Side Refrigerator - ED5KVEXVBWe purchased this refrigerator several months ago and have been very disappointed. It is poorly constructed and noisy. The shelves and drawers are very inferior quality and easily broken. There are not enough shelves and they are poorly arranged so we actually have less storage than we did with our old 25'' refrigerator. This purchase was a bad mistake.

We got this refrigerator included with our house purchase (the builder was giving out free washer/dryer set but we already had one so asked him to go with a fridge instead).

We have been in our house for 6 months and the water filter needs replaced...normal wear and tear. We like the lock feature on the ice/water dispenser because our 17 month old likes to press the paddles. We have had to take drawers out to clean and it was tricky but doable. The storage shelves in the doors are easily movable and the freezer has worked well so far. We have a deep freezer so only use the small freezer for regular use items.

It isn''t the fridge we would have bought ourselves, but for the money compared to what is out there we are happy with it.

One year and one week, just outside the warranty the auto-defrost thing broke. The back of the freezer is covered in frost. The top of the freezer wasn''t cold which ended up thawing some chicken which dripped chicken juice into the ice bin. (I know better than storing meat on top but that isn''t the point, I will review me elsewhere) Everything in the top half of the freezer had to be thrown out. Ice maker won''t make ice now. I believe all the cooling happens in the freezer and then is blown into the refrigerator so all the food in the fridge is bad now. Beside the 1 year lifespan of the product there are some other things that bother me.

The water filter is nothing more than a timer. There is now way of knowing when the filter actually has to be replaced. Family of 12 will get the water filter light at the same time a single will. Water filters cost a lot, 60 bucks for two. Since the water is filtered I wouldn''t think it would stain so much. There are big white stains on the drip plate but scrubbing it or putting into the dishwasher won''t remove them.

The drawers and shelves in the refer section are very tough to get out.

Perhaps I just got a lemon and am not happy about having to fix a refrigerator after only 12 months. The first month it wasn''t even used since the house was new and we hadn''t moved in yet. Since then just two adults use it so it isn''t getting beat up or anything. I can''t imagine the fix to be cheapif I knew how to repair appliances perhaps it could be fixed for a hundred bucks or so but since I can''t I am guessing just the repairman coming out will cost that much. Start counting in the cost of lost food and that easily will be over $100 with having to replace frozen meat, meals, mayo, milk, sour cream, dressings...

If this had not broken down then I would give it a three star review. Since it broke down so quickly I would give it a zero if that was an option. Since it isn''t and I realize maybe this is just a fluke I will round up to two stars (remembering 1 is the lowest and not zero, if zero was the lowest it would get a 1).

We got this refrigerator to replace one that had been here for 20-30 yrs. Exact same fridge, we really didn''t have a choice based on the hole in the wall. EVERYTHING scratches the front of this new refrigerator. Before I even moved in, it looks like contractors propped a broom or something against it which scratched up the front. We put a few magnets on the fridge.... completely scratched up the front!

I love the ice maker and water dispenser. The water runs slow, but we have it set up on a double filter.

Even with all the packing material and plastic films, the fridge had big greasy handprints on the sides when it showed up. I needed to use a de-greasing solution to get it off.

This refrigerator Has serious design flaws in the shelving system. Two of mine have broken in less than two years and I have never put more than one gallon of milk and a few other much lighter weight items on them at a time. The replacement parts for one shelf are between $101 and $120 depending on place of purchase. This does not include the glass. It is just the plastic frame. At the current rate of breakage, I will have between $1000.00 and $1500 in shelf replacement if I keep this refrigerator for 10 years.--Don''t buy it--it is a piece of junk and Whirlpool does not stand behind their product if it is over a year old.

Bissell ProHeat 2X Carpet Cleaner Tank Cap and Insert

Bissell ProHeat 2X Carpet Cleaner Tank Cap and InsertWe "misplaced" the original cap so wecouldn''t run the machine.

Surprised when I found it on here.

Good price and seems well made. Rubber is different from the original more of a harder type. The insert and ring seemed stuck together somehow and I couldn''t separate them.

Just tried it out and it didn''t leak and fit snug.

Very happy we can run the machine again!

My husband managed to through ours away when he was given the chore of shampooing the carpets. Not sure how he managed to do it but he did. Glad to have the part back for our water bladder so the Bissell is back up and running.

Aqua Pure AP117 Cuno Replacement Cartridge

Aqua Pure AP117 Cuno Replacement Cartridge For Drinking Water system filters. Sold in Pairs.Great product. Original manufacturer. Fits my water filter perfectly. I''ve purchased other ones that were lighter weight and did not work as well. This product is a heavier filter, worked as soon as I installed. I turned on the cold water and it was flowing well. With the other filter I got a light flow of water. Definitely a GO!

I was very pleased with this product, it met my needs for filtering our water in the home.

Had a Cuno whole whole house filter installed, got sick of using Brita taking up room in the frig.& not being refilled, these filters work great, water from faucett was as good if not better than Brita.

The NP version is more expensive for a good reason. This one costs ABOUT HALF. this filter which i use for drinking water and all kitchen water is being filtered with this, it is not odor free like the NP version provided. spend the extra few $''s and your water will be completely taste and odor free.
