This is a great product for fridge with filter. My new Samsung fridge make horrible noise when I use the water dispenser. I call technicians twice and told me that I have too much water pressure. It I lowered the water pressure for the house the sound will go away but the water pressure for the whole house is gone. This worked great, the hammering sound is gone with 50 PSI.Filtamate Pressure Limiting Valves

I have purchased this type of filter in the past. The water tastes great and don''t require the added expense of buying filters that have to be replaced. They are quite pricey if bought from the manufacturer, but this was a close-out of the original version, at a great price. It is sad that they are dicontinuing this model, because it was excellent and lasted a lot.I regret I didn''t buy 2 or 3 more for the future. Really good!

Matala Pond Vacuum II Muck Vac
This is a great item to have for your pond or even swimming pool. Although a little slow to pick up large items such as leaves from last fall it works great on cleaning the normal dirt and sludge from the bottom of a fish pond. I wish I hadn''t waited so long to get one. The difference in the appearance of my pond is amazing. The cost value was great when compared to local shops in my area.Everything it says it is. HAve a pond 9x12 and had lots of Algae being sucked up from bottom and recirculating in pump so the pond looked dirty all the time. This vacuum sucked it off the bottom no problems.Buy Matala Pond Vacuum II Muck Vac Now
I only used the product once as the wheather turned cool so that the alge was not growing as fast. The one time I did use it it did a good job, my only complaint was it paused to empty the container before I could get an area clean. Also a smaller brush would have been nice to have to get into the tight places.
All in all it beats the other pond cleaners that I looked at. Most of them were higher priced and gave you less.Easy to use not too large so it is easy to carry all attachments store with vacuum. Works well, really cleaned up my pond nicely. Would recommend for anyone with a pond that isn''t too large, mine is about 1500 gal.Truly a great necessity for any Koi pond!! No fumbling to empty and easy to use. It does a great job cleaning the rock bottom of my Koi pond. It also has excellent suction!! Wish I had made the purchase years ago!

The taste of our drinking water unfiltered makes it very clearly "city water", with myriad chemical flavors. The taste after going through the filter is absolutely pure and flavorless. It fills a five gallon jug in about 28 minutes in a home with a normal PSI.
As far as upkeep: Cleaning the sediment filter is a two minute process which you shouldn''t have to do more than a few times a year. Other than that I''ve not done anything. Two years after purchasing it I''m doing my first replacement, replacing the original R/O membranes.
If you''re looking for a filter I can''t speak to the quality of the other ones but I''m very happy with this and would it again if required to remake the decision.

After a few days of use here are my comments for the C100T and Aerocinno. I am using the combo in a small office setting. The no mess of the espresso machine is great. The shots are really good and consistently good. The machine is very simple to use. Fill w/ water, turn on drop in espresso capsule, push button, and you are done. The only drawback I can mentinon is the capsules must be ordered from nespresso directly. In terms of cost they are significanlty more expensive than premium whole bean or ground espresso roast coffe (lavazza, petes, starbucks, etc.). So with regards to the espresso machine it is perfect for my office due to the no mess and no fuss cup of esspresso. Honestly, I love it. But in my home I will be keeping my Starbucks barista espresso machine due to the fact that it will take any espresso and at home it is easy to clean. The aerocinno is ingenious. It is the perfect compliment for any espresso machine with one caveat, the servings that it can make are only for one so if you are preparing multiple beverages are large single servings it must filled multiple times. If you overfill it, it will make a mess spilling over the sides. I am considering getting one of these for the home too due to the ease of use in comparison to the steamer attached to my espresso machine. In conclusion, I do reccomend this combo highly with the points mentioned above in mind.I must first disclose that I am not an espresso connoisseur; I drink lattes and cafes-au-lait, and until the time my husband (a quad-espresso per day drinker) purchased the Nespresso C100, I had been a loyal Starbucks patron for at least 9 years. We''ve had the C100 now for over a month and since firing it up the first time, neither he nor I have stepped foot in a Starbucks. If you''re not an espresso drinker and are afraid of the C100 PLUS a regular coffeemaker taking up counter space, fear no more. The C100 has two default settings -one pulls an espresso, and the other, a 4-ounce "lungo" -*and* its volume, unlike the C90, is also programmable. I''ve heard some people complaining about the noise Nespresso machines make, but really, have you ever listened to the noise -and I''m not talking about the deafening and/or obnoxious music -coming out of Starbucks?? As far as the quality goes, I haven''t had coffee this good since my trip to Europe. It is consistent, never burnt-smelling/tasting (especially since the coffee doesn''t sit around after being made), and does not require extensive doctoring to make it palatable. I now drink a plain ol'' lungo, not a drink whose desciption requires a memory capable of beating the upper levels of "Simon Says." The only drawbacks, which are not enough to demote this rating to 4 stars, are the mandatory pod-ordering (and waiting), and the cost of accessories. If you don''t believe me, go to Nespresso''s website and see what a podholder costs.Buy Nespresso C100T Essenza Single-Serve Automatic Espresso Machine Now
I bought this machine after reading the reviews here and elsewhere on the Web. I agree with the good reviews. What people didn''t mention, however, are:(a) it makes a loud rattly whirring noise when you push the button to make coffee. I thought at first that I bought a dud machine, but apparently it''s normal. It''s not a pleasant noise but I got used to it.
(b) the instructions aren''t really in English, they are multi-lingual and rely more on pictures. So it felt like rocket science for the first few minutes as I tried to decode what it meant. Eventually I gave up reading the instructions and figured it out myself.
(c) the espresso can come out quite cold. It''s not super boiling hot when it shoots out, so unless you warm your cup in advance with some hot water, if you don''t drink your espresso right away, that small amount of liquid gets cold quickly.
(d) the salespeople who say, "Each capsule only costs $0.49. Now, when was the last time you spent $0.49 on a cup of coffee?" are making a facetious argument. You are spending $0.49 for a tablespoon of very good espresso. If you tried to make a full cup of coffee (which you shouldn''t, since this is an espresso machine), you will end up spending $2.00 or something like that. So, don''t buy it thinking you will save money. Because if you are a coffee addict, chances are you will spend money on Nespresso AND still go to Peets and Starbucks anyway. So you are not "saving" anything. On a typical day, we go through about 3-4 capsules. So it can become a noneconomical way of enjoying espresso compared to making it the old way with beans.
(e) the capsules come in a variety of blends, but reading between the lines, the beans all seem to come from just 1-2 countries. It''s not as wide or exotic of a geographic range as Peets or Starbucks. So the difference between the capsule colors/flavors is probably illusory. They all taste the same to me (then again I am not an aficionado).
(f) the capsules must be ordered in min. order of 50 (x$0.49 = $25). There is a mandatatory $5.95 shipping and handling. So re-ordering is going to be $30+ a pop.
(g) the machines must be routinely de-scaled and cleaned with fresh water. This maintenance bit annoys me.
Otherwise, it delivers what it promises. I bought it at Williams Sonoma to take advantage of its liberal return policy (apparently, lifetime warranty).

-C100T vs. Citiz-We deliberated over 2 machines: the C100T and the new Citiz. After doing some research, we found some interesting facts.
The initial advantages the Citiz had over the C100 were:
1) Slightly smaller counter top footprint
2) Flip-up tray for tall Latte glass option
3) Auto shut-off feature
4) Styling, (although only slightly less ugly)
However after a bit more investigation we found some not so obvious advantages the C100 has over the new Citiz.
Firstly the Citiz although priced the same as the C100, does not come bundled with the Aeroccino like C100 does.
Secondly, based on reading other reviewers, some have noted the Citiz have a tendency to jam. After further follow up, some said only when the pod basket is full, yet others have noted this not the case, it jammed even when the pod waste basket was empty. Further follow up showed the Citiz waste pod basket holds 8 used pods where the C100 as many as 12 or more before removal.
Additionally others have brought up the possible detrimental fact that its tall slim design can make the Citiz a bit tippy when loading the pod and not as stable to work with as the C100. After now using the machine I can see where that could be an issue as a bit of force is necessary to lock the lever down.
Yet another reviewer and owner of both machines said he purchased the new Citiz primarily for the optional tall glass feature then found the Citiz was more hassle to clean up because of its 2 or 3 additional parts; the C100 only has 3 parts to clean and clean up is a snap. As mentioned above we too consider the Citiz for its fold up tall glass Latte tray holder, however having now used the C100 with both short and tall glasses, it is really no big deal to hold the tall glass in place during the coffee extraction process.
With respect to counter top space, although only slightly wider in its stance to the Citiz, the C100 is not really large at all. Certainly much smaller than a stand alone drip machine and far smaller than a traditional espresso makerabout the size of a 2 slice toaster.
-The Aeroccino-
Personally I think this part of the system makes the entire coffee come togetherfor me without the Aeroccino, this is just a decent espresso machine.
First of all it is super easy to use, fill to the level, press the button and go. I noted during demos the Nespresso cafe folks would put the lid on downside upat first perplexed later realize it is easier to clean upclever. The other cool feature of the Aeroccino is if you do not want heated milk, hold the button for 3 seconds and the light will go blue instead of redcold whipped milk for ice cafeclever again!
Cooler yet Nespresso designed the little Latte whip and Cappuccino whisk to be held in place by magnets and there is a magnet in the lid to hold one tool when the other is in usethose Swiss are ingenious! In my opinion the Aeroccino does a better job than the integrated Latisima machine.
-Milk Types-
We were recommended to use higher protein milk as it will provide better results and based on some tests, the whole milk higher protein products do produce a really nice froth over slim milk. The machine produces Cappuccino froth amazingly fluffy while the Latte milk the Aeroccino produces is very rich and creamy. The C100 we have is made in Switzerland!
Highly recommended system!!

It makes a fabulous and consistent cup of espresso, with many varities of coffee to choose from. Its easy, drop in the capsule and simply rinse off the removable capsule drop area. I''m not sure if its easier than a traditional espresso machine. In a traditional machine, you simply pack some grounds into a filter, instead of using a capsule.I emailed Nespresso and found out that each espresso capsule has 5.5 grams of coffee in it, or .19 ounces. Because there are 16 ounces in a pound of coffee, it takes 84 capsules to equal one pound. At $0.49 a capsule, Nespresso is charging $41.16 FOR 1 POUND OF COFFEE.
You must use Nespresso capsules with this system, and only Nespresso sells the capsules. So if you want to pay the equivalent of $41 bucks per pound, this unit is for you.
Culligan PR-1 Water Pitcher Filter Replacement Cartridge
It turns out that smells and tastes have many components to them, and one person may detect 50% of the components while another will detect 60%, and their overlap may only be 30%. That''s why senses of smell and taste can be so different from one person to the next. And I believe this probably accounts for the differences in reviews here so far. Either that or the quality of the Culligan filters differs from batch to batch!
Anyway, to me the batch of Culligan filters I got (at Walgreen''s) impart a taste that bothers me. This is a taste the straight tap water doesn''t have, and the delicious Brita filters never had. I didn''t know what it was, but reading the other review here, I realize it is sort of lemony. I asked my wife to try the Culligan filtered water and she didn''t detect this. Maybe the taste testers at Culligan have a sense of taste more like my wife''s?First, you must prime your cartridge, prior to use. Simply follow the instructions which are included in the box. After priming, be sure to brew a full pitchers worth of water, about 8 times. This will elminate any funky flavors in your water. Enjoy! My dad just bought one. We love our water. No more bottled water. No more tap water.

I bought the Culligan pitcher which included the PR-1 filter. The water tastes fresh and is crystal-clear after using the pitcher and filter. I only paid $11.99 for the Pitcher and filter too. I didn''t notice any lemon-taste. I am now going to order more filters. Maybe the lemon-taste that the previous reviewer noticed was just the clean taste of the filtered water. You can actually see the difference in the water when it is filtered through the pitcher and cartridge and it is very clear.Read Best Reviews of Culligan PR-1 Water Pitcher Filter Replacement Cartridge Here
I had been using Brita pitcher and filters for years before I decided to try Culligan''s filters, which fit in the Brita pitcher. I can''t find strong enough words to express my disappointment. The water taste is awful, AWFUL!!! When I first installed the filter, following the instructions, and trowing away the water from the first 3 pitchers, the water still tasted sour like there were a few drops of lemon juice in it... We decided to be patient, so maybe after A WEEK of use, it stopped being sour, but still didn''t taste good. Not even close to the Brita filter that we were used to... I opened a second filter from the three-filter box and it was the same the lemony taste returned. I don''t know what kind of tests have been run before putting that filter on the market, but I am afraid to use it anymore... Somebody should take those out of the market!!! I am curious what a chemical test will find in that water... I actually think that tap water tastes better than the water filtered with that filter... Yesterday I bought Brita filters again and, Oh, what a difference!!! I am enjoying pure and tasty water again!!!Want Culligan PR-1 Water Pitcher Filter Replacement Cartridge Discount?
I have used the Culligan water filter system for years now, the reason why I have to order them is Walgreens no longer carries the product, at least here in the Bay area. All I know is my water tastes much better out of my faucet when I run it through the Culligan filter into the Culligan pitcher. It does make the water more pure and from my understanding is better than the other water filters out there like Brita. I recommend the Culligan water system very highly.Krups Charcoal Filters (Set of 2) Save 38% Off
Try simply not using the filters. My coffee tastes just as good without it. Maybe my water is already clean, but this seems like a ploy to make Krups customers keep paying. The price is outrageous! A little package of activated charcoal should NOT cost $5 a piece.I believe that the reason why some people are having difficulty finding these filters is because the coffe makers, Crystal arome (model #398) and Crystal arome time (model #458) have been discontinued, these filters fit those models. But as someone else has mentioned you can buy the filters on-line. Simple solution. You can go to krups.com to find out more about the discontinued coffee makers.

I bought this filter for my new house. It was a big pain to install if you don''t have a special hole in your countertop already. I had that new hole drilled and the handyman noticed that the unit didn''t come with some of the necessary parts. I called the manufacture to get them and they didn''t help at all. We had to search for something similar. IN the end, I paid $700 to install it!!!!! It seems to work fine but I wouldn''t do it again at least not with this one.Seventh Generation, Shower Cleaner / Sanitizer Natural Citrus Scent 32 Ounces
I''d been happy with other Seventh Generation products in past years. So when I went looking for a non-toxic solution to a mildew problem in my shower stall, I gave their Shower Cleaner a try. It did not disappoint. For prevention of mildew, the key ingredient is hydrogen poroxide (unlike the ammonia or worse found in the toxic brands'' products.) At first, all that remains after application is a faint, pleasant citrus scent and the slight foaming of the hydrogen peroxide wherever the cleaner pools. After it dries, there''s nothing but clean surfaces and fresh air.
In high summer, before I started using this product, my shower stall had a faint, lasting mildew smell, even though it had been scrubbed to a shine. Now, using this after every shower, the air in the stall is clean; no mildew or mildew smell at all. Perfect. The following three products:
Seventh Generation Shower Cleaner / Sanitizer Natural Citrus Scent 32 Ounces
Seventh Generation Bathroom Cleaner / Sanitizer Natural Citrus Scent 32 Ounces
Seventh Generation Kitchen Cleaner / Sanitizer Natural Citrus Scent 32 Ounces
... all have IDENTICAL ingredients in them, according to the backs of their bottles:
Hydrogen peroxide (the active stain removal agent), biodegradable surfacants (for soil removal), citrus oil (for grease removal), food-grade, non-toxic oxygen stabilizers (to help the hydrogen peroxide last longer), Water.
However all three bottles have different UPC codes, and different codes on the bottoms of their bottles. 2110-4, 2110-5, and 2110-6.
Now perhaps each product has a different concentration of each of the above in them, but that seems strange... but having three different products with identical ingredients, catering to different things is strange as well... unless they wanted to try and maximize profits. "No, no, no, that''s for the shower! No, that''s for the kitchen!" I guess "All-Purpose will clean ANYTHING and GOOD for the ENVIORNMENT" was something the marketing team didn''t want to try.
Anyway, as for the product itself, it sprays on, I see soapy cleaning bubbles, it smells nice, and wipes away clean. So it does its job. But again, I find the above mysterious.
Since these products, as of my writing, have varying stock status, some being 24 hours, others 1 to 2 weeks, you can rest assured that they''re all just the same anyway.

It''s really nice to be able to keep my shower shiny clean without fear of toxic chemicals. This cleaner works great & I have extremely hard well water. I tried for years to keep my shower this clean with conventional chemical cleaners, but with no luck. I gave this a try & am amazed at how much better it works & I don''t even have to hold my breath while cleaning. So far I''ve been very happy with several Seventh Generation products that I''ve been useing for some time now. I ran out of window cleaner last month & used their toilet bowl cleaner diluted with water & it cleaned my many, many windows better than ever before. So good that it''s what I''ll use from now on. Wonderful products!I am allergic to scented products and it is difficult to find any products with no scent. This whitens my showers and leaves them looking clean. I spray it on my dry shower, smooth it on evenly with a sponge and let it dry. Its simple and effective. Seventh Generation is the only line of unscented products I''ve been able to find. I''m thankful for them.Want Seventh Generation, Shower Cleaner / Sanitizer Natural Citrus Scent 32 Ounces Discount?

A dozen years ago the water department in our city sent residents packages of water saving devises. In the package was a bathroom faucet aerator with a flow control...I LOVE IT!!! Even after a dozen years of use on a bathroom sink...used several dozen times a day...it still works fine. I wanted some for my kitchen and other bathroom. None of the stores I went to carried them. Some employees didn''t even know what I was talking about. I was so happy when I found them through Amazon, but was disappointed with the quality of what I received. I finally got one out of the group I ordered that worked without spraying out the side. Another one I used some teflon tape to stop the little misty spray. The other one is pretty useless...unless it can be modified some way to control the every which way misty spray. These are great little water savers...so easy to use, but the manufacturer needs to do a better job!You really need this ''switch'' on your faucet! Wil work on older kitchen faucets, but maybe not the new ones with the larger spout. Just adjust you water temperature and flip the lever to OFF then back ON when ready. No more splashes on the back board while turning water off and on.Every house needs these!

Very happy with this. I had one years ago, but haven''t been able to find one in the stores since then. Works exactly like it''s supposed to. I can mix the tap water to the temp I want, flip the lever to soap up or brush, and because the dripping keeps the water from changing temp, it''s exactly right when I flip it back on. I recently purchased this humidifier at BBB and so far it is doing a good job. I wanted something that was quiet and didn''t require replacement filters and I got it.When adjusting the humidistat you can definitely see a change in the amount of mist on my machine. Many reviews talk about the demineralizing tablets and not knowing what to do with them. If you read the instruction manual it tells you at the end what to do with them. Fill your tank and drop them in. Depending if you have normal water you replace them every 3 months or so and if you have hard water they may need to be replaced more often.
If the light on the front of the machine is green you have enough water, if it turns red that means you need to add more water. We purchased this about a week ago from BBB and so far we love it. It''s worked perfectly, no issues, and it actually makes our rooms humid which is very hard to do in AZ. This is the 5th humidifier I''ve purchased in the last 4 years and it is by far my favorite. Also because it has two tanks, it can be running while you are re-filling which comes in handy if you need it on 24-7 and not just at night. It also doesn''t make a sound. AND I''m sick of paying for and changing filters on all my other humidifiers. They are pure gross and filled with dust and bacteria.
As far as the other reviews and the de-mineralization tablets, I didn''t even read the instruction manual, I assumed it works like all other humidifiers and you just drop them in the tank. However, it would be nice for Sharper Image to tell you that (they do tell you this on the replacement pack tho).

This unit is truly function following form. My biggest complaint is that the two tanks leak after a few refill''s before placing them back in the unit. Also the dial used to control the humidity level either produces a lot of humidity or none and its not very accurate.Pro''s: this device shoots mist high into the air with its vertical spout.
This is a quiet unit which can be filled with water and left alone for quite some time before needing a refill.
Important side note: the floatable filters that you drop separately into each tank need replacing after 30 to 40 fills.

I am awful picky when it comes to humidifiers. I am sure I have returned or donated more than a dozen in the past 10 years after testing them out and finding complaint with each. This Sharper Image humidifier is the best I have ever owned. We bought it in November 2009 as humidifiers are recommended during pregnancy. This humidifier is super quiet. We leave it on all day in our family room and I can''t hear it at all. With it being winter, we generally have it on the highest setting and yet we only have to refill it every other day. It has two tanks that last 36 hours. When it does run out of water, a red light shows and it shuts itself off. There is a night light on it. And it makes breathing so much easier my sinuses are great. I highly recommend it.

I actually just purchased this humidifier (from BBB) after my year-old Venta Sonic broke down. I am positively surprised about how quiet it is. I quite do not understand other reviews saying that there is no instructions for the demineralization cartriges please see page 10 of the small booklet called Instruction Manual and Warranty Information...I did not like the fact that the unit was so bulky and had the vent directed upward only (my old unit had the mist coming out of the unit at about 45 degrees angle which I though was better). But I do like that it has two separate water compartments and no parts of the humidifier that can get damaged (oscilator, e.g.) are not accessible.
Overall, I am very satisfied and hope it will serve me long...

Everpure EV9270-85 PBS-400 Drinking Water System

- Reduces the following contaminants: lead, cysts such as giardia, and cryptosporidium
- Removes chlorine taste and odor, dirt and cloudiness, mold and algae and particles 1/2 micron and larger in size
- You will taste the difference in every sip and everything made with water will taste better and is less expensive than bottled water
- Inhibits limescale build-up in water-using appliances. Easy to install using household common tools
- Finely polishes treated water to premium quality for drinking and cooking; a lower operating cost that is below the price of bottled water
I was surprised that the fittings were all plastic, however, especially since the housing and filter are metal...why cheap out on the fittings? I know some will argue that they make guns out of "plastic" these days, but living in a home where we just had a fitting break on the water heater (causing extensive water damage), I like brass fittings! Expensive, but worth the cost, in my opinion.
I was also surprised at how little there was to the unit itself. The head component, which is the part the filter screws into, looks like about $5 worth of aluminum. It is nicely cast and appeared to be of high quality, but considering the price of the filter system Everpure is charging about $175 for this small piece.
My biggest disappoint was that the unit leaked. Water dripped down the filter from where it screwed into the housing. I tried to lube the orings, I removed and replaced the filter at least 20 times, and I even did the hokey pokey -but it continued to drip slowly.
I contacted Amazon and they promptly replaced the entire unit. I tried to replace just the filter but it still dripped, so I ended up replacing the head unit too -that did the trick. No leaks.
The total dissolved solids (TDS) in our area are about 120 ppm without the filter, and are running 90 or so with the filter. Not zero (0) like you get with a ZeroWater pitcher, but VERY convenient and I can taste the difference in the water. It tastes as good as bottled water does, which was what I was trying to achieve. I do not have the patience to pour water into a pitcher and wait forever to get a half gallon of pure water! I wanted to use cleaner water for cooking and drinking, and this does the trick.
I do wish the head unit had an automatic water cutoff like fridges do, so that when you replace the filter the water cuts off. Instead you have to either turn off the water supply under your sink or flip the lever on the head. I recommend the water supply as the lever is easy to shift back to the on position as it moves very easily and could get bumped while working under the sink to replace the filter.
The filter is supposed to last a year and even includes an electronic timer that beeps when the filter is nearing the end of its useful life. Very nice feature.
The filter is only a month or so old, but the water flow is excellent.
If the filter head had not leaked on the first unit I would have given this five stars, but that cost me hours and hours of time to figure out and replace.

This was sent in a clear plastic jar with no instructions as to how much salt to put in the tub. They only mentioned the size of the container which was 10" x 8" x 6" and the jar was much smaller in size then what the discription was. I called the manufacturer and they stated that the plastic jar contained the same amount as the plastic jug with label (pictured). Something is not feeling right here.Read Best Reviews of Sprite MBS Blue Dechlorinating Bath Salts Here
This is the second time I bought these bath salts for dechlorinating. The first time they came as pictured, but this time they were in a round unmarked jar for some strange reason. Fortunately, I still had the first container in the recycle bin, so I put the bath salts in that one, which is more useful, having a handle and the cap which is used for measuring.Other than the container, I like the bath salts and think they do a good job, although I also use filters and vitamin C tabs in the hopes of really getting the chemicals out of the water.

Based on using them on two different water systems, I also believe the quality of the water going in makes a huge difference in the life of the filter... but then that really is just common sense isn''t it? For instance, using it the week after a city wide fire hydrant flushing will use one up very quickly. I can''t speak to what that means to anyone else, but it tells me it is WORKING!
As another reviewer mentioned... ONE HOT WATER EPISODE WILL KILL A FILTER! It is a shame it is this way, but I have on two occasions had someone turn on hot water and let it run through the filter for a while. The filter would stop flowing within a day after that. The instructions warn against this, but accidents happen.
On the other hand, I had one that would not flow at all right out of the box. I called the 800 number on the box, told them what happened and that I had put in a different filter, which worked, and then tried this one again... showing that I had done my due diligence, and I had a replacement in the mail within a week, no cost, without having to return the failed one.
Also, if you buy the 6 pack, they are under $10 each.
It absolutely DOES make the water taste and smell better than plain tap water.

I''ve been using these filters since 2005, and I have been ordering them online in 6 packs from this site since 2009.I''m not sure what is going on, but after the second filter change in this most recent purchase, I''ve come to the conclusion that these filters have been "changed" such that their performance has dramatically declined. Simply put, my water now tastes POORLY.
The first thing I noticed upon receipt of this latest 6-pack, is that the outer wrapping of the individual filters is not shrink/vacuum--packed. In all previous orders these filters where vacuum-packed. Secondly, there is no product labeling on the same wrappers, which was not the case in previous orders for they were labeled. Third, the filters feel "less heavy" and feel similar to salt shakers, in that one can tell there are loose granules inside (some of which appear loosely leaked inside the packaging--white round granules), which I never noticed before. Finally, the best and most important indicator that something has been altered is the taste of the hard (and very same) water for which I''ve been using these since 2005...it tastes poorly (bitter, chemical-like taste) compared to the "neutral" clean taste of said filtered-water previously, and there is a slight residue/cloudiness visible in appearance in the water, whereas it was clear with previous filters. Another indicator is the increased left-over deposits in my coffee maker (also the coffee now tastes bad). These filters are obviously NOT filtering/cleaning my water as in previous years.
Finally, along with the change in package appearance of the 6-pack box, I noticed that these are also (now?) "Made in Mexico" which I don''t recall was the case of my previous orders...can''t say for sure, but the product was consistent in performance (and appearance) since 2005...(I''ll also say that I was using the Pur 2 stage water filters successfully for 5 years previously).
I haven''t contacted the manufacturer, which I will do so in order to get their response to the above-mentioned issues. I shall update when I do so.
Until then, I can NO LONGER recommend this product, which was so wonderfully working for me for the last few years. (I haven''t checked local stores for comparison, and will do so).
Until I find some answers to what happened, I don''t recommend these filters. I will return with an update when I get one.
IMMEDIATE UPDATE: I just called Pur at 800-787-5463 and spoke with a CS rep. His response included the following: thanking me for calling and reporting my complaints, asking me for the lot number of the filter(s) which are performing poorly, stating he would report my complaints to the appropriate department, reminding me that Pur consistently performs quality assurance tests to avoid issues (duh!), and stating that he would send me a "Buy One Get One Free" coupon which I can expect to receive within the next 2-3 weeks after I give him my address/phone number. There were communication difficulties...the CS rep had a pronounced foreign accent and admitted he was having problems hearing me. So we will see...I do intend to follow-up this call with an email.
UPDATE: Decided to contact Amazon via phone for advice with very poor results. I DO NOT recommend trying to get much resolved via phone...unless, perhaps it''s Kindle-related. However, after my 3rd attempt at contacting Amazon by email, I received a reply stating they are sending me a new 6 pack via overnight mail and are requesting a return of my remaining defective product. Very nice response this time...will follow up soon. It remains to be seen whether the 6 pack I previously ordered was a bad lot or that Pur''s filter quality has dramatically declined.
5/14/11 UPDATE: Amazon quickly sent me replacement pack and asked that remaining "old" filters be returned. The quality of water tastes somewhat improved, but it seems that Pur changed this product for the worse. After I run through the remaining 4 filters, I shall no longer buy this product. 2 STARS.

UPDATE:A few months after I posted this, PUR finally contacted me with an intelligent response.
They apologized (again) and explained that their RF-9999 DOES in fact contain ion-exchange resin.
I don''t know whether or not I should be surprised that it took them this long to come up with a response. Perhaps they assume that most people will have no idea what ion-exchange resin is and will therefore not ask about it or look for indication of it on the packaging.
Also, other people have responded to my review with useful comments. Check them out. For instance, one commenter explains this product''s certifications.
My original review:
I own a PUR faucet attachment that takes the RF-9999 filter replacement cartridge. Out of concern for my baby girl''s health, I wanted to make sure that the water we mix in her formula is free of lead and other heavy metals. The copper pipes that carry water in your house have enough lead content (to make them flexible) that water sitting in the lines for a few hours can build up unhealthy levels of lead that can cause all manner of developmental problems in children. For your health and that of your children, it''s best to be sure to flush your water lines before consuming tap water. Take a shower in the morning and run your faucets a little before you make coffee and mix formula. (Save the flush water in old milk jugs for watering your plants.) As added protection, it''s also a good idea to use a water filter with ion-exchange resin that will filter out residual heavy metals.
I noticed that the product description of the RF-9999 on Amazon.com mentioned that it includes ion-exchange resin. But when I looked at the filter''s packaging and the PUR web site, there was no mention of it, although the product does claim certain certifications regarding reduction of various heavy metals, including lead. According to PUR, the RF-9999 filter contains something to trap sediment, activated carbon that they claim also reduces lead, and some minerals. I spoke with a hydrologist from the U.S. Geological Survey about this, and he explained that activated carbon is largely ineffective at trapping heavy metals and that none of the other components of the filter would have any effect either; only a filter with ion-exchange resin would be able to significantly reduce the lead content.
Thus, I contacted PUR to inquire as to whether or not the RF-9999 contained ion-exchange resin, and if not, I wanted to know how it filtered lead and to inform them that Amazon.com''s description might be inaccurate. First, I got an automated response that seemed to have nothing to do with my question, so in accordance with their instructions, I replied, explaining that my question had not been answered. The reply to this was that they were sorry I was having trouble with their product (I had not reported any problems), and that they''d be happy to answer any questions I had. So, apparently, they lost my question. So I replied to that, repeating my question. The next respond quoted my previous email (with the question in it), and again apologized for the trouble I was having with their product, and told me that they''d be happy to answer any questions I had. I responded again, heading my email with another copy of my question. This time, I finally got something resembling an answer, but it was a brief and vague statement that the information on their web site was accurate. They said nothing to reassure me that there was anything in their product that could account for their claim of being able to reduce lead in the water.
Perhaps the people at PUR I was corresponding with were just incompetent. I can''t expect the customer service contact to know anything about chemistry or hydrology, but it irks me when they don''t take my question seriously enough to inquire internally to get me a proper answer, especially when I''m trying to take steps to safeguard my family''s health. Besides Amazon.com making inaccurate statements about this product (probably told to them by someone at PUR), PUR''s web site and packaging make claims that do not appear to stand up to basic scientific scrutiny. As far as I can determine, there''s absolutely nothing in the RF-9999 that would be able to reduce lead content in water by any appreciable margin.
If you are buying water filter products, then you''re probably doing it not just to improve the taste of the water, but because you have a clue that there are things in your city or well tap water that you might not want to drink. Be fully informed about these things, and never trust your health to product claims that you haven''t verified.

Don''t let the price scare you away (it''s actually a good deal). My local water has a displeasing taste/smell & this filter takes that water & turns it into .. well .. great tasting water. This filter will work on any of PUR''s faucet mounts. It seems two reviewers below have major malfunctions in the operation of their filters; saying they only last a week or so, or do not work as advertised. It could be improper installation of the filter, or running a hundred gallons of water through them in two weeks.I have been using these filters for years with no problems.
Spa2Go Portable Hot Tub Save 26% Off
Upside: The Spa is bigger than I expected. Generally comfortable, very easy to set up (once you figure out the instructions) and as portable as promoted. Once the spa reaches top temp 105 degrees on the indicator and you turn on the blower. You get a spa experience that is as pretty impressive. The water agitation is vigorous and well distributed around the spa.The down side: The spa has no hot water jets. It uses a blower to churn the water. The problem is the blower churns and cools the water in the process. So after 15 minutes the spa has lost between 3 and 4 degrees. By the time you go through two of the automatic 15 minute cycles you drop from 105 to about 100 degrees. If you stay in for 45 minutes the spa will cool to about 97-98 degrees and will take 3-4 hours to return to 105.
If all you want is a quick 15-30 minute experience you''ll probably be quite satisfied. If you like long spas sittings or have a number of family members who want to take turns. This rig will not do the trick.
Other issues: The heating pump runs so quitely you can''t tell it''s on. (very nice) But the blower is loud and sounds like a vacuum. The sound of the bubbles sort of masks the blower but if you''re sensitive to sound it can be distracting. I found some other reviews on the Spa2go and about half of the people complained about the pump and the blower failing. I''ve had mine a month so far running everyday 24/7 and so far no problems with either. The reviews also said that getting customer service or replacement parts is difficult. One person reported waiting three months and still no part. I''m hoping I don''t have to deal with this. There also seems to be a few degree discrency between the actual water temp and the indicated temp... About 2 degress less by my thermometer. but I need to get another one to confirm this. Also, the material used in the cover doesn''t seem to be as thick as the material in the body. Mine sprung two holes on the first day and had to be patched. I now am very carful where I lay the cover.
Bottom line.. All things considered I would still make this purchase because the price is at least a third of the cost of a typical portable spa. If you think of this purchase as disposable or a stepping stone to a better spa...you''ll probably not be disappointed. So not great but for $799 good enough.
Biggest disappointment was with how Amazon fulfilled the order.. Was supposed to ship overnight. Took over a week and at least 15 calls to customer service reps in the Philippines who had no ability to contact the warehouse and find our why the product has not shipped. after One lost shipment and many frustrating calls and emails It finally made it into the UPS system for shipment... Most surprising was that I was told that if I cancel the order it would take up to 5 days to get the $799 credited back to my card.. So my "overnight" purchase turned out to be a week in Amazon customer service hell. Stresses me out just thinking about it.. think I''ll head to the spa after this.We rent a home and didn''t want to go through the expense of purchasing a "real" hot tub and then selling it when we move. When I saw this I was a bit circumspect but I saw it on sale for $540 on Amazon and combined with free shipping I decided it was worth it.
The instructions are poorly written but the setup wasnt too painful. I only found out I couldn''t use an extension cord with it after I started filling it, so I had to pump the water out and move it.
Once I got it all set up I really didn''t think I would enjoy it but I was pleasantly surprised. It looks like a glorified kiddie pool. It took me about 20 hours until it reached its maximum temp. Once I got in I was hooked. It is quite comfortable! more-so than many very expensive hot tubs that I have been in. The water agitation is good and it is quite relaxing.
The biggest negative I can think of is that the temperature drops fairly rapidly. I can start it at 105 and within 15 minutes it will drop to around 100 and if its particularly cool outside (I live in San Jose CA so when I say cool I am talking about 50 degrees) it will go from 105 to about 97 in that time. It does, however, feel wonderful when there is a cool breeze. Another negative is that you cannot easily inflate it again once it is set up, for example, the cover needs to be re-inflated but to do so is a huge hassle. I also didn''t realize that it would require chemicals and weekly PH testing and filter cleaning but that is mostly due to my own lack of thought.
Overall I have to say that I am quite pleased although this really just doesnt meet hot tub standards. I think I am going to get a real hot tub in addition to this or when I move but this did help me decide that I definitely want a real hot tub!

Let me start off by saying how pleased I am with the Comfort Line Spa-to-Go! I found it on sale on Amazon & it arrived about 12 days after I placed the order, which was just two days after the earliest delivery date from Amazon. It was relatively easy to set up, though at a 1 1&1/2 degree increase per hour, it took over two days to reach 105 from 61. There''s little mention in the manual of maintaining the water balance (Ph, Bromine, Alkalinity), and this was a gray area on a few previous reviews. You can get most of the stuff you''ll need at a local pool/spa shop, or even a well-equipped RiteAide or the like. I ordered the combo-care kit via Amazon for this model, & though its a little pricey ($145 after fees & shipping), it covers all bases, includes two replacement filters, and is probably worth the investment if you plan on having/maintaining your''s for awhile. It took several days to get the water balanced, but its been pretty easy to maintain ever since. The plastic smell is still there after about a month, but is fading. I''d also recommend getting spa fragrance oil (12-20 drops per use), as this helps with the bromine smell & bleachy, dried-out feel. But the real hidden cost of this unit is, not surprisingly, the cost of electricity. I waited until I''d owned & run mine for an entire billing cycle, and the results are in. I ran it non-stop (i.e., not ever unplugging it), and used it generously for the whole first month (running the jets about one 15 minute cycle a day) and my electric bill tripled. That''s 3x as much electric usage. Now it''ll be different for everyone given their usage of it, but your bill''s apt to take a drastic jump. I''m now turning off the unit at night & letting it warm back up and filter throughout the day so its clean & hot to use at night. If I want a morning soak, I''ll leave it on overnight & maybe give it a rest during the day. Also, the metallic lining on the spa cover is already torn, which I''ll need to look into to see if its warranteed. All in all I''m glad I bought this, but had hoped for a review of both the chemcials & electric costs before buying it, and am offering it for others who might be curious. Enjoy! We purchased the Spa-N-A-Box nearly 2 yrs ago and have had to replace the power pack/motor at least 5 times. They offer a warranty, however, their free shipping offer for a replacement pack is only good for 30 days. We have had to pay their $89 shipping charge 3 times even though the power pack was less than 3 months old. Now I was told that the error message on our power pack we paid for shipping on just 30 days ago, En1, indicates hard water damage which is not covered under their warranty, even though this same error message appeared on a previous power pack, for which they honored their warranty even though we were forced to pay the $89 shipping fee to replace it. Refurbished power packs are $250, new packs are $450, approx. Neither work better than the other. Too much trouble and money for what you get. I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.Purchased this product and had problems right out the box and had to have several replacements sent with no success in keeping this working at all..5 power packs so far and it still does not work. This motor is not strong enough to cope with what its expected to do. Water does not go above 96 in cooler weather and takes a full week to get to that temp and the blower blows cold air into tub so the tub gets cold really fast. After blowing up the tub liner it distributes the air uneven and all on the one side which distorts the tub a lot and was told this is a fault they see often...not kidding! The worst customer service you could imagine and customer complaints are all over the Internet regarding this company. After replacing your part they will then demand an $89.00 fee to ship out another part. Check with the BBB and see a list of complaints regarding this company and their product. Save your money on this until they decide to bring out a larger more powerful motor this will not last a season. Great idea if it worked but I wasted $800 not to mention laying a concrete foundation to place this on and all my chemicals to use it. Funny thing I keep noticing are complaints filed on websites selling this item end up miraculously disappearing so wonder if this one will remain here and if I could give this no stars I would.
