I''ve been using this filter as an all-sinks/no tubs central filter for over four years. It filters all water that might be drunk, but not shower or tub or hose water. We have terrible tasting water (chlorine), and this filter works very well. Cannot speak for other claims. Instructions say to replace every three months, and that appears to be a must. After a fourth month it is starting to get nasty. I do recommend.
