Normally would buy these filters from one of the major retailers, but they said they said they no longer stock, so went to Amazon to purchase. Easy process, no spending money for gas trying to find, and exactly the same filter.

Not much to say except this filter does exactly what it''s suppose too. I''ve used these filters for 6 months and a few up to a year to treat our drinking water. Our water comes from a community well that is heavily chlorinated. After the water goes through this filter it removes all detectable traces of chlorine. Water smells fresh and is chlorine free. Great product!

The GAC1-SS charcoal water filter gives our family the best-tasting water that we''ve ever had !! We all agree that our undersink Dual-Element Water Filter by OMNI delivers crystal-clear water that tastes better than the "trendy" bottled waters at just a tiny fraction of the cost !!

Our family went through hundreds of packs and cases of various brands of bottled water over the years, lugging cases of water from the supermarket or wherever to the car and then to the house -where it had to be stored until used, and then the empties had to be sorted from the trash -and on and on and on -ENOUGH, already !!

I installed an OMNI Dual-Element undersink unit that taps off of the cold water line. The line from the filter feeds the OMNI Lead-Free (white, durable plastic) spout that opens easily, works smoothly, and shuts off completely drip-free.

I use 2 of the GAC1-SS elements in the filter housing, being careful to load them one-at-a-time --inlet side first. This allows the elements to "clear" sooner, so not as much water is lost when the initial "air purge" begins. A few minutes to purge the air from the lines and the new cartridges, and you''ll have sparkling-clear water that tastes great -with absolutely NO icky "plastic bottle" after-taste.

Our water source is the City of Phoenix Water Department and the quality of the water varies by the particular source of the day (well, CAP canal, reservoir).

After installing our OMNI Dual-Element filter, we can enjoy our water with confidence -knowing that we''re saving big bucks and eliminating a ton of time-consuming hassles with our double-filtered, odorless, tasteless, and crystal clear water.

These cartridges are the latest version of the GAC Series, and are a BIG improvement over the earlier models.

I''ve tried other brands of charcoal filters, but they failed for various reasons -The GAC1-SS is longer-lasting, and the new "Full Flow" design gives maximum flow without "channeling".

As for how long the GAC1-SS filters last -I can''t honestly say, and I don''t bleeve anybody else can, either, ''cause it depends on how much water your family drinks and what is in the water that you''re filtering,too.

My present set of cartridges will be changed after 2 years, even though the water tastes just as good as when the elements were new !!

I got 6 of ''em ''cause the price is way down -and these things are getting very hard to find !!

If you''re a penny-pincher like me, but you still have to have the best-tasting water -ya better get busy and get these filters right away !!
