Imperial Berkey w/ 2 BB''s Save 17% Off

Imperial Berkey w/ 2 BB''sMy wife and I drink more water now. It even tastes better--or rather, you can notice the lack of metals and chemicals. We are super happy that we got this and we recommend this to everyone.

My only quibble with it is that because of the positioning of the spout (it''s not at the very bottom), not all of the filtered water can pour through the spout. So there is always some water left over. However, this just gets mixed in with the filtered water eventually.

It took about 2 days for setup and priming. There is just 2 of us using this, and we have to refill it every other day. It works out perfect.

HINT: we bought a little rolling stand/cart which it sits on top. When we need to fill it, we just roll it over to the sink. Our facet has a pullout spray nozzle which can extend and reach the Berkey. Super easy to fill and no mess.

I have been researching Big Berkey water systems for some time before I decided to make the purchase since it was so pricey but the bottle water investment was getting ridiculous. I refused to drink tap water since finding out what is actually in our water supply (arsenic, sodium flouride, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, uranium, etc.)you can look it up in your home town and see the levels of it through the EPA website.

The Big Berkey is just amazing not only does it purify amazingly but the taste beats any bottled water you can buy and im very picky with bottled water. Its so satisfying to know that know matter how compromised my tap water becomes I will always have the cleanest best tasting water anywhere.I urge everyone to do your own research and you will see for yourself how amazing this product is, the Red Cross and the World Health organization use Big Berkeys. Make sure you get the one with 2 flouride filters and do a google search on sodium flouride you will see it causes cancer, bone disease, nerve damage and a host of other dangerous side effects. Flouride is the main reason i got this unit since it is added to the water supply statewide and no I do not work for Big Berkey im just excited that im not paying $80 a month for water that isn''t even as good as this!

I purchased this unit about 2 months ago. We have been using it every day and it has been great! The first batch or 2 had a bit of a chalky taste but that may have been our error (not priming it well enough or not filling it properly). Since then I always fill it to the top and it has tasted wonderful! We even did the food coloring test and the water came out clear, as promised.

Other than filling it up to the top the only advice I would give is to wait until it just drips out before re-filling. You can''t see how much water is left, so if you fill it to the top and the bottom chamber still has a lot of water in it, it can overflow. Though, the overflowing really was just a small puddle from it dripping on my counter, so you won''t get a sudden flood. Oh, and you do have to put it at the edge of a counter, otherwise your cup won''t fit under the spout.

I love that I don''t have to worry about plastic, recalled water, bacteria or the environmental impact of the plastic bottles or the process in which the water is collected :) And it tastes wonderful! I recommend it to everyone I know.

I ordered the Big Berkey system and received the British Berkefeld. After calling the shipper, I was assured that the units were virtually identical and that the situation in Haiti had impacted the available units. Since I live in an area where the water is fluoridated, my goal was to rectify the situation. I''ve read enough about fluoride to know it is quite harmful and it is not necessary for the human body. Relative to the use of the unit itself, I have been extremely pleased with the quality of the water and I recommend it for anyone who desires safe, clean-tasting water.Berkey Light Water Filter With 2 Black Filters & 2 Free PF-2 Fluoride Filters

I actually don''t have the model that is this big, Ihave a smaller one , but the filter elements are the same which is the best part about this. Do your own research and find out that the purification is excellent in these filters. I also have the plastic model, which i like because i can see through it and the base gives it the height to put cups, pans etc. under it , where the stainless does not have that so i found a item that fits underneath. I did not buy the "clear glass tube" so you can see the water level as it is extra cost, and i admit that I have had water over flow onto my counter and floor. Now i am more aware and give it a check. I really love the ''taste" of the water by using these. i live off of city water, so I dont deal with flouride and such, but i do deal e-coli and other natural stream, river ,creek contaminants. No one has ever gotten sick from water and I have used these for more than six years. I think it''s a great investment and will save you from buying bottled water over and over. Be careful when cleaning the filters (dont drop in sink, DONT use bleach) clean with scrubber type sponge (not metal)...anyway, I''m switching to the stainless as i am making a commitment to have less plastic in our family. Hope this helps.

  • Ametek/Pentek Filter Housings
  • 10" Big Blue Housing, Blue/Black 3/4" w/ Pressure Relief

This housing seems very heft and seems very durable. It is also quite heavy, so I thought it was a good idea to get the mounting bracket to screw it to the wall. I was a little afraid to hang it from my pipes only.

There are holes up top for a mounting bracket, but this is something extra you need to buy. When I bought my bracket it came with all the screws I needed to put it on this housing and screw it to the wall.

There is no filter that comes with this either. This is fine, and I expected it, but just wanted to let you know. I used a DGD-5005 filter. These are great, and are a 50 micron and 5 micron filter, so it is just like putting 2 filters in with this one housing.

I also found it wasn''t a bad idea to get a SW-3 wrench to open up this housing. It is a plastic handle that makes it a lot easier to unscrew the filter to change it. My advice is DON''T TIGHTEN THE FILTER UP WITH THE FILTER WRENCH. It was VERY hard to open the filter again later and change it when I tightened it with the wrench. Only use the wrench to open it, not tighten it.

Overall a great product, does its just, and I think it should keep lasting me a long time.

Well made and works well. I use the (Point 5) Micron filter. I change the filter every 6 months. I Use a little Vaseline(very little thinned out)around the threads to remove easily. Also apply to the O ring for better seal. The description clearly sates housing only, so purchase your filter separately. If your water source is very dirty, use a pre-filter. I kind of like the Point 6 micron for whole house. IF you are serving two bedrooms the .5 and .6 will work. Make sure you know your GPM. You may have to bump up to 4.5 x 20.

Hope this helps.

Enviromate E20 Steam Cleaning System Save $0.99 Off

Enviromate E20 Steam Cleaning SystemOrdered this steam cleaner shortly after I got my 12 week old puppy who is in the process of being pottytrained. I have used it on my carpet to get puppy stains.odors out and they disappeared immediately! Now I find myself cleaning everything in sight and I do not know how I ever lived without this cleaner. My house smells fresh without the use of chemicals and it has taken in some instances 21 years worth of grime off in a matter of seconds!! Try it and see for yourself.

I bought a Fogacci Topline around 2006. It worked great for about a year and a half then it quit working. After that, every time I turned around it was in the shop for repairs. The repairs were never cheap, always around $80. The last time the machine was basically rebuilt which cost about $225 and several visits, under a year quit working again. I decided I had put enough money into this machine and decided to try GO E20 Home Steam Cleaner. Although the machine is only a month old the things that are better about this machine than the Fogacci are 1. it heats faster 2. rolls better with the larger wheels 3. electrical cord doesn''t get tangled in the machine as easily when pulling 4. the way the hose attaches to the machine it doesn''t pull out like it did on the Fogacci 5. the warranty is longer 5 years versus 2 years (for the time I bought mine. The only con is you need to order some of the extra attachments like a brass nozzle to clean your grill, but frankly with all the pluses I can deal with that. It is a lot of money for a machine but I clean my own grout with this machine and it looks brand new after being in my house for 12 years. My understanding it cost over a thousand to get it professionally done.

I''m one of those weird people that likes to clean floors and I''ve been on a mission my entire adult life looking for the best cleaning products. Although not perfect, this is the best I''ve found so far. Before purchasing the Enviromate, I also rented a Lady Bug. Here are my likes/dislikes.

Pluses

* Amazing deep clean. What the these vapor cleaners do to grout is spectacular.

* Versatile. Not just floors, but bathrooms, and even our pool tile.

* Goes a long time on one tank. You can only handle so much use/cleaning and I''ve found that the Enviromate goes long enough to warrant a break. The Lady Bug I rented had the option to fill without depressurizing, which this one does not. I was concerned and almost went with the higher model, but I''m glad I didn''t. It does not take long to de-pressure/refill and the Lady Bug required filling more often (had a smaller tank).

* Great attachments. What is provided is all that''s required for normal household cleaning.

* The cloth grips on the attachment are great. I found them to hold better than the Lady Bug.

* Quality build. Overall, similar build quality to the Lady Bug, but the hose has a much higher quality feel to it.

Minuses

* I wish the cord was a tad bit longer and had a better way to store it (I don''t find it wraps very well).

* I wish it came with one more extension. I''m 6'' and the max length of the wand is borderline uncomfortable. The higher model does come with the extension, I believe.

Ordered this unit (Reliable Corporation''s Enviromate E20) directly from the company, and it arrived USED, and with lots of water from a previous use still inside the unit. I phoned the company on the same day that I received the unit, and they immediately offered me a 5% discount. Note, that the company penalizes customers with a 20% restocking fee plus hefty shipment charges (the company is in Canada) for returning a slightly used unit. In any case, I wasn''t interested because I wanted, and had paid for, a new unit. Furthermore, the unit they sent me had been used for a period of time, because there were heavy water deposits already under the boiler cap. They had greased the extension tubes prior to shipment, because apparently they did not fit together properly and would leak water. I have filed a complaint with Canada''s BBB, and still (over two weeks later), I have not received any reimbursement at all for the unit. Finally, I discovered that all warranty repairs need to be shipped to the company''s headquarters in Toronto, Canada at the customer''s expense, and you are required to ship without insurance. The customer is responsible for damages that might occur during shipping. I have read reviews that after much time passes, broken units are returned to customers still broken, which is another reason I refused to accept a used unit.

Salt Therpy Ultrasonic Salinizer For Chronic Respiratory Diseases

Salt Therpy Ultrasonic Salinizer For Chronic Respiratory DiseasesShort version:

The Saltair Domo is a scaled-down ultrasonic humidifier with a nearly non-existent output. The amount of salt they recommend you put in is minuscule and would hardly make a difference if you were directly nebulizing it, and is completely useless as a tool for altering the ambient air. It seems to be an attempt to cash in on the popularity of halotherapy.

Long version:

I bought this item hoping that we could use it to simulate some ocean air in our bedroom for our 6-month old with cystic fibrosis. Unfortunately, my opinion on this item is that it fails miserably at what it purports to do, which is to place salt ions into the air. I base my opinion not on experimental results, but logic and common sense, some basic biology, and my own experience.

One of the first things I noticed was the manual''s recommended maximum amount of salt for the 2.5 cups (0.6L) maximum tank capacity: 1/4 teaspoon.

I''m not a biologist, but I have been teaching myself biology through text book and MIT OCW courses, and was interested in how this ratio of salt to water compares to isotonic saline, hypertonic saline, and ocean water. The percentages given when discussing saline are w/v measures. Normal saline is about 0.9%. Hypertonic saline can be found varying concentrations, from 3, to 5, to 7 and 9%. Sea water varies, but on average is said to be around 3.5%. For 1/4tsp of salt in 2c of water, which is more salt per volume than the manual recommends, would be 0.3%. Normal saline is close to the same concentration of NaCl as your blood, so the saline they have you create could be considered to be hypotonic, not hypertonic, relative to normal saline.

Studies have been conducted to see if hypertonic saline (7%) could help people with CF. It was found that normal saline (0.9%) did not significantly impact on the number of exacerbation in patients. It was found to be ineffective. It was only the hypertonic saline that made a difference, specifically, 7%. Spending time at the beach has been shown to have benefit for people with CF. Sea water is also hypertonic, 3.5%.

The expected response to this would be that the device is intended to be run over many days. Surely that can make up for the low concentration of salt. This may be true, if the device actually had a decent airflow. It has such a low airflow that you cannot feel it with your hand unless it is within an inch of the air outlet. The manual clearly states that the device should be empty after 8-9 nights of use. Let''s say a typical night is 7 hours, so 9 nights would equal 63 hours to dispense 1/4 teaspoon of salt. You don''t have to be a scientist to realize that this is simply a joke.

And to go even further, you must assume that very little of this air will actually enter the lungs of your sick child. Here in the south, during the summer, the air conditioner is constantly running, pulling air out of the room, replenishing it with filtered air. I''m convinced that, given the low airflow of the device, there was essentially 0 salt ions getting into my lungs when I tested it 1 ft away from my face over a period of two nights. It simply is not enough to overcome other sources of airflow that are present in a typical middle-class household here in the southern United States. The only way to overcome ambient airflows is for the device to pump the air high and far enough so that it could be directed to someone.

One very troubling aspect of this product was the fact that the manual lacks any mention of proper cleaning of the device to prevent bacterial and other microscopic organism growth. They do mention cleaning it, but it''s to ensure proper operation. It leaves you with the impression that you don''t have to worry about bacteria with this device. In fact, the nice lady who sold it o me was under the impression that you didn''t have to worry about bacteria in it because salt is anti-bacterial.

Another issue was the manual''s lack of recognition of white dust as a problem. This product is essentially an extremely low airflow ultrasonic humidifier. One of the risks associated with using ultrasonic humidifiers is that they will place whatever happens to be in your solution into the air, be it bacteria, minerals, etc. Some of that stuff will settle on your furniture, floor, etc. The manual doesn''t mention any of this. In fact, the manual specifically tells you to use tap water, which is probably the worst thing to use if you are breathing in the contents of the solution. More importantly than impurities and white dust, bacteria that may grown in the water will also be projected into the air. This is why some ultrasonic humidifiers come with some type of silver stick, or other type of anti-bacterial agent. I think the omission of any warnings of these two problems is telling. Perhaps there is no risk of these 2 problems because the air from the device is not really getting into your lungs. It''s seeping out onto your floor, and being swept out into your A/C filter, or pushed down into your carpet by your fan.

Wonderful Product.. I sleep well when it''s in use and my asthma symptoms are relieved. The machine is sturdy and I don''t foresee having to purchase another one any time soon...

Absolutely useless item! Air flow is so small that even in a small room you have no effect. If you try to increase concentration of salt solution soon enough you will find air flow channel blocked with salt. Two times salt managed to build up on the motor and stop in from spinning! look for a different product, and READ reviews! Good shopping :)

Hoover TwinTank Disinfecting Steam Mop Save 48% Off

Hoover TwinTank Disinfecting Steam Mop - WH20200The Hoover Enhanced Clean Disinfecting Steam Mop works on glazed ceramic tile, sealed hardwood and linoleum flooring. It also "freshens" carpeting, although I''m am unaware of the benefit of steaming carpeting between cleanings, but I guess it would freshen it. Included is a carpet slider to facilitate this action. Reading the instructions is a necessity particularly whenever mixing liquids and electricity. The Owner''s manual is written clearly and is fourteen pages long, including the warranty page.

The flooring needs to be well swept and all "gross filth", their words, not mine, must be removed. Sweeping is essential because the small steam vents on the head may become clogged which will affect performance and life expectancy of the unit.

The steam mop is lightweight, which is a clear advantage over larger units. It is neatly positioned between a nearly disposable Swifter cleaner and a heavier full size steam cleaner. I tested the unit out on four rooms of glazed ceramic tile approximately 450 square feet. I vacuumed the tile before beginning and some of the areas, primarily the two entrances into the house, had more ground-in dirt than others.

Assembly involved no more than snapping the handle into the base. The unit has two tanks the solutions tank holds approximately eight ounces of either Hoover''s disinfectant or multi-floor cleaning solution while the water tank holds sixteen ounces. There is a replaceable filter for the water side of the device (should last twelve months) but the instructions recommend using distilled water to avoid hard water build-up and to extend the filter life. At the time of this review the unit is new to the market and I couldn''t find pricing on the website for the replacement filter.

The included eight ounce bottle of Disinfectant solution filled the solutions tank and in cleaning the four rooms, I used virtually the entire bottle. The water tank required one extra filling to do all four rooms -a pleasant surprise considering the small size of the tank.

Two hard surface microfiber pads are included along with one with cut-outs to be used when disinfecting. Select the appropriate pad, lay it on the floor and place the unit on top of it, and a hook and loop (Velcro) system securely attaches the pad. While in use, I tried everything to accidentally disengage the pad and failed.

After use, the microfiber pads may be thrown in the washer. It is recommended they be washed in hot water and dried flat. The idea of throwing the pad in the washer didn''t appeal to me because at that point it was quite dirty and I couldn''t figure out what I would want to wash with it and it is entirely too small to justify running an entire washer load alone. So, I thoroughly washed it in the kitchen sink with the hottest possible water and detergent (then I disinfected the sink.) I plan to order a couple extra pads. They are on the website for around twenty dollars.

The steam cleaning process is usually step one and begins almost instantly (within thirty seconds) of pressing the power button. Squeeze the trigger on the handle and steam is released. When finished steam cleaning, and disinfecting is desired, switch the dial on the front from the middle position to high which engages the solutions tank. The time involved in the steam cleaning process will vary based on the condition of the floors.

While cleaning, I found the more heavily soiled areas of the tile required going over them up to six times to completely remove all ground in dirt, but the remainder of the floor was done with one or two passes. The power cord is long, approximately 28 feet, so there was no need to repeatedly plug and unplug the cleaner within a large area.

The disinfecting step is optional, and if chosen, is the final action just a couple of quick passes and then the floor needs to air dry to activate the disinfectant. If a moment is needed to stop while cleaning, the unit should not sit, unmoving, on the floor or damage may occur. A tray is included so the unit may rest off the floor.

The disinfectant is a food grade cleaner but in addition to its steep price, it contains so many chemicals that in the future, I will use it only occasionally. My main interest in the unit is its steam cleaning capability, so that will be my primary use.

On the Hoover website, a thirty-two ounce bottle of disinfectant solution (four fills) is around fifteen dollars and a sixty-four ounce bottle of the multi-floor cleaner(eight fills) is around twenty dollars. The two different cleaning solutions should not be mixed together, and other cleaners are not to be used.

Under Storage in the owner''s manual, when finished cleaning, the water tank should always be emptied and air dried. The solutions tank does not need to be emptied, but there was so little disinfectant remaining, I emptied and rinsed it. In the past, I had problems with a small carpet cleaning device that also noted that the cleaning solution could be left in the unit, so I probably will never leave any liquid in either tank.

While using the unit, the lack of weight permitted quick and easy movement and I could work for an extended amount of time without the least bit of fatigue. I finished cleaning all four areas in about thirty minutes and that was stopping once to refill the water container with the included measuring cup.

The lightweight construction does leave the machine feeling a little flimsy, but I don''t know how that can be remedied given the significant advantage of its portability. The triangular shaped head is mounted on a ball joint which permits great flexibility in movement, so the unit worked perfectly on the floors in each room with the point getting into every corner and the flat edges following the baseboards.

The steam mop did a beautiful job on my tile floors they look spotless and the effort involved was minimal. Overall I am delighted with the machine, but there are a couple of minor complaints. It isn''t convenient to move the tray from room to room. It is a necessity because it isn''t easy to predict when the work may need to stop for a minute or two so the tray should always be handy.

Also, the water and solutions tanks have lots of nooks and crannies, and are designed in a way that doesn''t permit them to readily dry. The fill opening is small so after rinsing, air doesn''t easily circulate within the tanks. After a full day of drying, and a few attempts to shake out any remaining drops of water, both tanks still contain a small amount of water. Although this isn''t a fatal design flaw, avoiding mold formation is always a concern with units like this.

Hoover provides a limited two year warranty on this machine, which given the proliferation of ninety day warranties, is reassuring. The positives far outweigh the negatives and I am delighted with the unit''s performance. As I continue to use the unit, I will update this review.

I am a quadriplegic who lives in Tempe Arizona. A few months ago my apartment''s carpet was replaced with vinyl wood flooring. After two major dust storms this year, my apartment was left filled with dust. A dust that comes from across the desert and contains all kinds of spores and particles. My wheelchair would leave tracks from room to room, even after my caregiver washed the floor and wheelchair tires. A good friend suggested I try the Hoover steam mop. When my Hoover Enhanced Clean Disinfecting Steam Mop arrived, my caregiver (Lou) went right to work reading the instructions, assembling things together, and then steam cleaned my apartment''s floor. Lou was excited from the moment he opened the box because he owns a Shark, and he said this is so much better than his and will do a lot more. My floor looks cleaner than when it was first installed. The rich wood brown is much clearer, and that light dust in the cracks is gone. Being a quadriplegic I am prone to congestion, and since the dust storms I have been dealing with congestion issues. After my floors were steam cleaned I have had less congestion, and my breathing has noticeably improved. Lou is still excited to use my mop, and sometimes I have to tell him he has cleaned enough. You can no longer tell what rooms I''ve been rolling in and out of. This is a great mop and it definitely deserves more credit for its health benefits and cleaning capabilities.

I''ve had this steam mop for over a month now and I''m very pleased to say that it does *almost* everything the advertising says and even a bit more. I can also report that Hoover fully stands behind their warranty.

The warranty: when I received my first unit, it worked for five minutes and then died. The steam light came on, but no steam came out. I ran through the troubleshooting guide, cleared all the tubes, and it still wouldn''t work. I called the 800 number on the instructions and explained the problem. 24 hours later, I had a new mop delivered to my front door along with some extra cleaning pads and solution for my trouble (at no point during my conversation with Hoover had I ever asked for any free gift or compensation beyond sending a replacement unit). Hoover did ask that I send the unit back to the factory directly (they provided the free mailing label from FEDEX, including free pickup at my home) so that their engineers could look at it -this appliance is so new that they hadn''t had any returns yet. I can''t fault Hoover over this incident -any appliance line has an occasional defect, it''s the reaction from the company that will get my goat. In this case, Hoover bent over backward to make this right for me and I don''t think they had any way of knowing that this was a Vine customer.

The cleaning environment: an 1880''s farmhouse on a still-working farm. We raise livestock and have two dogs that are permitted inside. Dirt and "other" material from the barn and pastures gets tracked into the mud room where we change out boots and work clothes. The dogs roam the acreage and the return to the house for feeding and sleeping; fortunately, they are finally fully housebroken and it''s safe to leave the bedroom door open. Harvest season brings an extra layer of dust into the house. Get the picture? It''s a constant battle to keep floors clean. I''ve swept, Swiffered, mopped, and Roomba''d my way across these floors for five years now and I''ve hated every minute of it. June Cleaver I am not.

Results on linoleum: I used this mop on my kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and mud room floors. The age of the flooring ranges from new to 15 years old. The first cleaning raised ground in grime from the old flooring. There is a small cut on the kitchen floor that gathers dirt; the steam mop lifted the grime and turned the cut nearly invisible. Another effect that I noticed is that the kitchen floor stays clean for a noticeably longer period of time afterward. Dirt tends to quickly show up where previous dirt remains (it''s stickier) and a mop sometimes has more the effect of moving dirt around rather than picking it up. The steam/microfiber combination really does a better job of removing grime altogether. Lastly, the pads stick out a bit from the mop head so I can push the pad right up against the baseboards and clean along the edges. Total mopping time is one-third of the time traditional mop/brush/bucket method.

Results on carpet: **Note: the following is NOT a Hoover-recommended use for the mop, this is something I came up with on my own. Your mileage may vary.** I had some very stubborn pet stains on our older carpeting (it''s at least 10 years old). Even after trying a variety of cleaning solutions and steam cleaning, the stains would reappear and collect more dirt. After seeing how the mop worked on the linoleum, I decided to see if this mop would work as an alternative to a steam cleaner. Using the carpet glide triangle and a full pad (Hoover recommends the one with holes in it for "freshening" carpets, but that was not what I was trying to do), I ran the mop over the stains several times with the steam on. Next, I applied Hot Shot carpet cleaner, allowed the solution to work for 30 seconds or so, and then ran the mop over it again. Voila! The steam provided just enough, but not too much, moisture, and the microfiber pad picked up the stain. Two weeks later, the stains have not reappeared. Best of all, I didn''t have to get on my hands and knees and stick my face in the fumes while I scrubbed away.

Results on hardwood/laminated flooring: Didn''t try it. Our hardwood is old and the finish is worn in places. We do have some laminated flooring, but I''m very leery of applying high-heat moisture to these floors. The consequences of any damage to those floors is too great to risk. I''ll watch the other reviews here and then maybe give it a try.

The cleaning pads: The unit comes with two regular pads and a single fenestrated (i.e., has holes in it) pad. This allows me to use one pad to clean the kitchen and mud room, switch out to the second pad for the laundry/bath, and then use the fenestrated pad to disinfect the kitchen and bath. Switching the pads out is as simple as stepping on the tab of the pad, lifting the unit off of it, and placing it down on top of the other pad. Then I pick up the pad and toss it in the laundry. This is soooooo much better than wrestling with an increasingly filthy mop head. One note for those who have never used a microfiber pad before: wash them before the first time you use them order to relax the fibers a bit -otherwise, the pads won''t pick up dirt quite as well.

Cleaning solution: Yes, it''s expensive; however, you aren''t going to be using nearly as much of it as the cleaning fluid in your mopping bucket. The solution isn''t a soap, it''s a disinfectant, so I clean first with just steam and then make a second, faster pass with the fenestrated pad to apply disinfectant. After using this mop for six weeks, I have yet to have to add cleaning solution to the tank. A little goes a very, very long way.

Bottom line: this is a great product that truly is an improvement over a bucket and mop and even scrubbing on your hands and knees.

Alright, so this is a great steam mop. I have been through a couple. I had the H2O mop which like most As Seen on TV stuff was great when I first got it but because they make them so cheap it broke and it is like pulling teeth dealing with Thane''s Customer support so I just said F it. The second one I had was a HANN and right out of the box it sucked at producing steam. Then I got this one and I loved how it produced steam however one downside to this mop is that you have to hold the trigger... Not to worry I just just a piece of tape and wrapped it around so it would hold the trigger down. So this is a great buy. But.... Have you had this for a couple months and all of the sudden it is not producing steam like it used to or at all???? Not to worry. Follow these steps and you will keep this crack-a-lackin for a while.

So to prevent the mop from getting clogged up in the first place the best thing you can do is when you are done mopping leave your finger on the trigger. Then remove both solution and water tank until it stops producing steam. Now you can shut it off and stow it away.

Too late??? Did it already clog up? Well go ahead and plug it in with both water and solution in it, press the trigger until it starts producing steam. While leaving your finger on the trigger remove both tanks until it stops producing steam just like I said above and then unplug it. Take it somewhere... Preferably garage and flip it upside down. Take some white vinegar and pour the vinegar in the wholes where the steam is supposed to come out. Leave the vinegar in the holes over night. Then in the morning take the mop, put it into a sink or bath tub, fill up your solution and water tanks then put them in. Plug in the mop, wait for the lights that say you are ready to go, then press the trigger. See all that crap that came outa there???? You should be seeing a lot of steam. Again take both tanks out while leaving your finger on the trigger until it stops producing steam and then stow it away.

My wife and I bought this steam mop to use on our ceramic and hardwood floors. My wife absolutely loves it! It is so easy to use and the floors look amazing. We were nervous about using steam on the hardwood, but the steam evaporated so fast that the floors were dry immediately. We also like the fact they you have the option to either use a cleaner or just water. So far we haven''t had to use a cleaner, because the steam works great on it''s own.
