I could really tell the difference between this filter and it''s cheaper cousin, the R-2C. This filter not only filters out more impurities than its less-robust cousin but it produces water that tastes like fresh spring water. (Well, the way fresh, spring water used to taste, anyway.) :) I considered knocking a star off because of its price but you still save money over buying spring water from the store. So, I kept it at 5. You definitely pay for 5-star quality but, in this case, it is worth it.

These fitters do an excellent job of removing bad smells and flavors from city water supplies. At times the water here alternately smells of chlorine or rot and this product easily makes the water far more palatable.
