Skuttle A04-1725-051 Replacment Pad, Filter Save 68% Off

Skuttle A04-1725-051 Replacment Pad, Filter, With Wick, 2001,2101,2002,2102 humidifiersAlthough I think the shipping was abit high for 2 filters, the price itself was good and better than anything I could get locally. Shipped out the door quickly (choose the slow cheap delivery method though). Arrived in great condition and were both new as specified. Will most likely use again when I need another pair.

What can you say about a humidifier filter?? Works as well as the original, very satisfied and the price was better on line.

Ordered two brand new filters and they are performing as expected. They came with the water wick which goes above the pad, but beware they fall easily out of the packaging into the shipping box. They wicks should somehow be attached to the filter or otherwise secured in the box. One of the filters was slightly dented but this is not affecting it.

Jura-Capresso Impressa F9 Fully Automatic Coffee and Espresso Center

Jura-Capresso Impressa F9 Fully Automatic Coffee and Espresso CenterThis machine is excellent. Produces above average espresso on every shot. Foams milk well too.

I was an early buyer of this machine, and 8,513 shots later (yes it counts them), I know it is an excellent value.

I also would comment that the customer service is excellent. Sent in the machine once, and for $100.00 received a complete overhaul. (Sent in for a pump leak after a house move.) Came back like new, on time, and they paid for the return shipping. Can''t ask for much more.

I will buy another super auto, from Jura/Capresso, when the time comes for a new machine. It might be many years from now...

I have owned this for about 9 months and gotten nearly 1000 uses out of it (it counts for you). It can equal most coffeehouse product you are likely to find, but as others point out, it is far short of what an enthusiast can create from more traditional equipment. You may also find the crema coffee settings to be something of an acquired taste (but you can make an Americano in just one more step, which is always great).

Also, we went through a brief episode in which it would refuse to brew anything (as if it didn''t have the power to punch the water through the puck of coffee). I remedied this with a descaling cycle as well as wiping out the parts above the removable tray thoroughly. (I use filtered water in the machine, but the descaling seems to be a more serious cleaning than the normal automatic cleaning.)

Given this, I would recommend keeping large stock of cleaning supplies and at least doing the normal cleaning every couple of weeks, rather than awaiting the machine''s automated recommendation to clean. My understanding is that there are no dirt sensors driving these messages. It is just a function of the amount of use.

Overall, I would buy this again for certain, and if/when it dies I will be looking at one of its more expensive siblings, not at other brands.

UPDATE OCT 2012: I am up to nearly 5,000 runs. The only change is that it heats up a little slower. What a quality machine!

Saw a demo of this at a local Sur la Table and very impressed. The coffee it makes is outstanding. I plan to buy one later this year.

Amazon is being deceptive about price. They state list price is $2400, and they''re selling it for $1798.95, at a savings of $601.05. NOT! Look at the Jura-Capresso website. The list for the Impressa F9 is $1799. That brings Amazon''s big discount down to a whole $0.05. The higher end Impressa S9 is $2399 (and Amazon claims it is $3200). Do your research. Don''t trust Amazon''s claims for MSRP.

This is not for your typical coffee drinker. It could be, but isn''t. The thing that separates it is primarily the price, otherwise just about anybody who drinks coffee should absolutely love this machine.

This machine can and does make excellent coffee, cafe americano. It makes very good, but not excellent espresso. You can do as good or better with this machine than you''ll probably get at a chain coffee shop.

The key to quality coffee on this is to use HIGH QUALITY coffee beans. I mean specifically beans that are recently roasted. The more recently roasted the beans, the better off you are (optimum use date is 2 days after roasting). I recommend coffee from www.intelligentsiacoffee.com (try their accidental/occidental and house blends) or www.victrolacoffee.com (streamline espresso).

Make sure you use the high temperature setting for best results, also. When making espresso, I think it helps to warm the machine up for making steam before you make the espresso (gives more flavor).

The steam wand is OK, but somewhat limited in that it''s hard to get some frothing pitchers maneuvered in for frothing.

True coffee geeks will want a high-quality espresso machine where you can control the tamping of your grind, along with a quality burr grinder because you''re not going to get a "God Shot" from the F9.

But for the rest of us, and even coffee geeks that enjoy the ease of single-button coffee/espresso quickly in the morning, this machine is very capable.

I have had this espresso machine for nearly two years now, so I know all of its "quirks" and benefits/issues. I feel compelled to write a review since I relied so heavily on these reviews when making this purchase...so here goes:

1) After much research, I purchased the F9 at Williams Sonoma, primarily because they used to have a policy that you could return anything, at any time, if needed. So, I figured that if ever I had an issue, I could just return it to my local Williams Sonoma and get a replacement rather than returning the machine to the factory and waiting. Turns out I did indeed have to do this once for an electrical issue, which was actually an issue I had with the wiring at the outlet--not the machine afterall! In any event, I don''t think Williams Sonoma still has that same open-ended return policy. Be sure to research the return policy wherever you make your purchase!

2) Overall, I have to say I absolutely LOVE this machine. Here''s how I rationalized payment for such an expensive indulgence: if you figure a Starbucks costs approx. $3, and you buy one everyday (which I was), it would take 600 cups to break even. Well, with the automatic counter on my machine, I have made more than 1600 cups! This machine paid for itself in the first year..easily. ok, so now that you''re past the issue of paying so much for a coffee machine, here''s more...

3) This machine is crazy smart. It knows exactly when to clean itself, or tells you when to start the cleaning cycle. To clean it, all you do is insert a tablet in the coffee powder drawer and it does its thing. It knows when it needs water, when the filter needs to be changed, etc. In fact, since we have a water filter built into our refrigerator, we just use that filtered water in the coffee machine and therefore we don''t need to use the expensive water filters. Bottom line, if you just pay attention and clean the machine on a regular basis when it tells you to, this is a no-brainer machine.

4) The coffee and espresso are great. I''ve learned to make a latte just like Starbuck''s and I haven''t been back since. Some people complain that the frother doesn''t work well, but here''s the trick: first, you should use non-fat or low-fat milk. For some reason, lower fat milk froths better every time; second, be sure to clean the frothing nozzle after each use. Kind of a no-brainer, I know. Third, there are two settings on the frother, and you can change the setting by sliding the sleeve on the frothing tip up or down. Experiment with this and you will get the perfect froth, really.

5) As for the beans, we don''t use overly oily beans as I have read that they can cause a build up and make the machine tough to clean, etc. I believe the "Illy" brand that comes in the metal tin is supposed to be too oily. Others may have a different experience, but we just use whole espresso beans from the grocery store.

6) Believe it or not, this machine heats up in about 90 seconds, if not sooner. As a result, we use this for tea and hot cereal all the time. This is an added bonus for purchasing this machine.

As for issues, I honestly don''t have many. I guess the only things that bug me are the fact that I have to remove the drawer from time to time and dump the water which is ejected after each use. I have learned to keep a black coffee cup under the spout so that it collects the rinse water and i just dump it as needed.

The only other issue I have had with the machine is that the touch screen sometimes works and sometimes ''sticks.'' I''ve tried cleaning the face, washing my hands, but sometimes this just doesn''t work right. Fortunately, when it does ''stick,'' it gets stuck on the setting I use, so it''s not a huge problem.

Net-net, I highly recommend this machine. It took us several days of research and at least a couple of weeks to build up enough nerve to spend this much on a freakin'' coffee machine, but I have to say, this machine has become my new best friend in the kitchen. Sad, but true! Do yourself a favor and buy one. Enjoy!

UPDATE: This machine is still going stung after almost five years daily use and 4100 cups of coffee! The only issue we continue to have is the electronic display panel continues to go dark at times, or flash and flicker. I''m sure we could send it in for maintenance, but we can''t stand the thought of not having our machine for 3+ weeks.

CQE-PI-00601 Blue

CQE-PI-00601 BlueAfter I bought it, I used a particle indicator to measure the difference in the faucet water and the filtered water, and no difference was found. Also, when I called the company (Not, Amazon, but Crystal Quest), I asked if I could get a refund on my shipping as well since I was returning the product because it did not work. At the time, I was told that I could receive my shipping if I send an email with the shipping cost. However, after I hadn''t heard back from them for two weeks, I called back and was told that it was not their policy to return shipping cost (even if the product didn''t work). So after I was told that my shipping cost would be refunded, it was not! Very Bad Costumer Service! (Again, not with Amazon, but with the makers of this product).

I have been looking for a water filter that doesn''t connect to the faucet. (I had a faucet-attached one before, and it eventually caused so much back-pressure that it wore out the gasket on the faucet. In addition, it took forever for the water to work its way through the filter, so it took a long time to get even one glass of water.

This unit eliminates all of those problems. What I especially like about it is that it eliminates more impurities that other similar pitcher filter products. Also, very easy to use.

RPS 16-Ounce Waterbed Conditioner

RPS 16-Ounce Waterbed ConditionerI was having trouble finding conditioner locally, I went to Amazon and was able to find an excellent product for a very good price. I have already used it and will continue to buy this again.

Have a Cal King fiber filled waterbed Boyd 4500 series mattress. During the winter months when the temp was turned up, the bed developed air bubbles. This product surprised me and eliminated (or at least has greatly reduced) the number of air bubbles that develop.

I assumed most of these type of products were not really all that useful but I will be buying this again. Both because it works and because it was a great price.

It seems to do what it is made to do. Kills bad stuff in the water, keeps excess bubbles from forming, and though I can really attest to( since I only had it a month or so) it keeps vinyl conditioned. But half a bottle is good in King size for six months, approx a third is good for all other beds for six months per the label. Hope this helps

Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter Save 35% Off

Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee FilterBeing frugal (all right, cheap) by nature, I held off on buying a single-serve coffeemaker until I could find one I liked that offered a reusable filter. When Keurig came out with the B-40 Elite, a handsome, reasonably priced unit, and announced that it would be releasing its "My K-Cup" reusable filter for separate sale early in 2006, I was primed. As soon as I saw this product on Keurig''s website, I was ready to buy my new coffeemaker from Amazon.com and the filter from Keurig''s web site. My only wish was that Amazon.com would stock the reusable filter so buyers could purchase the coffeemaker and filter in one fell swoop, and here my wish is about to come to pass!

I have had my Keurig B-40 Elite for about a month now, and I''ve had great success with it. Bear in mind that if you''re using the reusable filter, you must first remove the black plastic K-Cup holder from the unit''s filter assembly (instructions on how to do this are included with "My K-Cup"; the black piece in the coffeemaker''s filter basket doesn''t act like it''s supposed to come out, but it is, and it does).

Also, I''ve read elsewhere that some people don''t like having to remove the reusable filter and clean it out after every use. However, I''ve found it to be a relatively simple affair: the reusable filter doesn''t drip when you remove it, and takes about 30 seconds to rinse out after each use. You can use it again right away to brew successive cups.

One caveat is that the output splashes a bit when using the My K-Cup filter, so I always have a damp paper towel at the ready when I brew a cup. That having been said, I''m really happy to be using my own coffee and saving lots of money in the process. Those who are, like me, loathe to shell out 55 cents a cup for K-Cups will probably really like the new My K-Cup.

So I bought this filter, installed it, and when I made my first cup of coffee water splashed everywhere and I got a ton of coffee grounds in my coffee. After playing with it for a while and wasting almost 10 cups of coffee, I finally figured out how to fix it.

There is a needle on the top that, when the handle is closed, inserts into the hole in the reusable filter. Surrounding this needle is a rubber gasket. Gently pull this gasket down a little bit. Be careful, not to pull it off completely. Once I did that no more mess and better tasting coffee.

Buy Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter Now

After reading many reviews about the problems with the My K-Cup and experimenting on my own, I have found an easy solution to the problem of weak coffee using this filter. As others have noted, the water goes through the My K-Cup way too fast as compared to the K-Cups. My solution was to take apart a K-Cup and use the outer plastic shell with the My K-Cup filter. Here''s all you need to do:

Take a used K-Cup and cut the top foil off of a K-Cup. Cut the paper filter out of the K-Cup. It''s okay not to cut it all the way off of the rim of the K-Cup because you will need to cut the top of the K-Cup (where it gets wider at the top). You need to cut the top of the K-Cup off because you need to fit the K-Cup shell into the My K-Cup holder. Once you slide the bottom shell of the K-Cup into the holder, you can add your coffee into the My K-Cup (tapping or gently pressing the coffee so that it is not loose inside the filter). Then place the My K-Cup filter into the holder and cover as normal. When brewing, the K-Cup shell surrounds the My K-Cup filter and slows down the water by making it pass through the punctured hole that the prepackaged K-Cup normally uses.

The great thing about this is that you can re-use the K-Cup shell that you cut apart over and over so once you have cut one apart you don''t have to worry about it againuse the My K-Cup as you normally would.

I''m hoping Keurig will have figured this out in the near future and add a premade piece that is included the My K-Cup, but until then, I have found that this solves the problem of weak coffee.

Unfortunately you really need one of these things to use your Keurig properly unless you are dedicated to spending lots of money and killing the environment with K-cups. These things last us about 2-3 months max. They are so poorly made that they seem designed to break after a certain time period. I have gone through three so far. The plastic latches that hold the top on just break off and crumble away, no matter how carefully you screw on the lid. Then your coffee spills over the sides when you brew it. However the cost of continuously replacing these things is likely offset by the savings of not using k-cups which are currently overpriced.

Want Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter Discount?

I''ve had my Keurig for 2 years, and my re-usable K-cup for 1 year. It works perfectly just as it is, as long as you don''t overfill it and follow the directions.

Oh, wait...mine didn''t HAVE directions.

When I first got it, I won''t lie...I screwed it all up. The blasted thing didn''t have directions, so I thought the cute little basket went right into the K-cup part of the Keurig. I had not a clue that the black K-cup holder part with the needle that pokes the bottom of the K-cup had to come OUT of my Keurig to put the gray part in.

I made a huge mess.

So, here are the directions for everyone else, so you don''t have to be a dummy like me:

1. That place in your Keurig where K-cups normally go? Yeah, it actually comes out of the machine. Really, it does. There are three little tabs you have to push on the rim of it to pull it out. Get that thing out of there. It''s not difficult, so if you''re being rough with it, stop. It comes out pretty easily. Be careful you don''t gouge yourself with the stabby-thingies in the machine.

2. Open up your reusable gray K-cup filter, wash it, and put about a tablespoon of coffee in there. If you like it strong like me, I suggest a finer grind. If you use Folgers, put it on a smaller cup setting or you won''t get it very strong. This little bugger is made for just one cup at a time (whereas I can usually get one big cup or two little cups out of a disposable K-cup).

3. PUT THE LID BACK ON (!!!) the gray K-cup filter and put it into the spot where the regular black one usually lives (amazing, it fits!). Close it up and let ''er rip.

4. If you got coffee everywhere, you did something wrong. I know, I know...I didn''t want to believe it either. Maybe you didn''t put the lid on, or put the cute little basket into the machine without the gray part. Whatever. Either way, it''s not the product''s fault that you''re dumb like me. :o) Start over, figure out what you messed up, and enjoy your coffee when you finally have that forehead-slap moment.
