After I bought it, I used a particle indicator to measure the difference in the faucet water and the filtered water, and no difference was found. Also, when I called the company (Not, Amazon, but Crystal Quest), I asked if I could get a refund on my shipping as well since I was returning the product because it did not work. At the time, I was told that I could receive my shipping if I send an email with the shipping cost. However, after I hadn''t heard back from them for two weeks, I called back and was told that it was not their policy to return shipping cost (even if the product didn''t work). So after I was told that my shipping cost would be refunded, it was not! Very Bad Costumer Service! (Again, not with Amazon, but with the makers of this product).I have been looking for a water filter that doesn''t connect to the faucet. (I had a faucet-attached one before, and it eventually caused so much back-pressure that it wore out the gasket on the faucet. In addition, it took forever for the water to work its way through the filter, so it took a long time to get even one glass of water. This unit eliminates all of those problems. What I especially like about it is that it eliminates more impurities that other similar pitcher filter products. Also, very easy to use.
