Culligan FM-15RA Level 3 Faucet Filter Replacement Cartridge Save 31% Off

Culligan FM-15RA Level 3 Faucet Filter Replacement Cartridge
  • Quick and easy replacement
  • Reduces unpleasant odor
  • Improves water taste
  • Reduces lead, chlorine taste and odor, Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts
  • Filter life of up to 2 months or 200-Gallons

The Brita faucet filter does an excellent job of filtering out impurities from tap water -that is, when it manages to stay attached to the faucet. However, in my experience with it (two years and two different models), a tremendous amount of my valuable time was wasted trying to reattach the filter after it would repeatedly fall off. Although I have no direct experience with the Pur faucet filter, my understanding (drawn from other reviews) is that it suffers from the same problem.

Happily, after purchasing the CULLIGAN Faucet Filter several months ago, I can now report with confidence that it is plagued by no such similar defect. In other words, once attached, it remains firmly in place, and works every bit as effectively as rival brands. So for anyone who has tried those other brands and encountered endless frustration in endeavoring to keep them attached to the faucet, my advice is: Don''t give up just yet! Try the Culligan model. It''s solidly built, competitively priced, and replacement cartridges are readily available from Amazon. For me, at least, the Culligan at last put an end to the gratuitous, time-wasting burden of having to continually reattach a recalcitrant water filter.

At first, I did experience what a few of the other reviewers mentioned: after a short while the filter didn''t appear to have any affect on the taste of the water.

The problem, I discovered, is that if you run the water through the filter too quickly (by opening up the tap all the way) the charcoal filter just can''t do its job. As a rule of thumb, only allow enough flow through the filter so that it takes about 10-15 seconds to fill up a glass of water, and you''ll have great tasting water. So, if you have high water pressure, make sure you don''t open of the faucet all the way when filling a glass. There''s just no way a filter as small as this can do its job properly at the max flow rate of most faucets. You really need a large in-line filter for that.

Note that this only applies to the filter''s odor and taste removal properties, because this involves a chemical reaction of sorts where activated charcoal pulls chlorine (and other chemical) out of the water by binding to them. This is a completely different mechanism than what you normally associate with filtering, such as particles being caught in a mesh (which is essentially how the rest of the filter works in these, and so it''s really only the odor and taste that is affected by the rate at which you let water through the Cullgan).

Buy one at a time, and not too far in advance. Filter works well, but Culligan only warrants for 30 days from date of purchase. If you buy several (as I did) and one is defective (spurting water all over kitchen!), no real way to obtain a replacement.

I love the culligan water systems. The base that the cartridge goes into is made better than britas,With brita I was buying a new base with almost every cartridge change and culligan is superior in price ,quality and every other aspect. And I think the water also taste better than water that is filtered using brita.Try it and see for yourself

The Culligan filter is more reliable and lasts longer than the Pur or the GE filters but it is also the slowest filter in terms of water flow.

Farberware FSU236 36-Cup Coffee Urn

Farberware FSU236 36-Cup Coffee UrnFarberware FSU236 Stainless-Steel 36-Cup Coffee Urn

I purchased this urn for a party I was hosting a few weeks ago. I was totaling surprised at the quality for the price I paid . It is very elegant looking and could be used for any type of function, either casual or formal. I don''t like ordering on line because sometimes the item isn''t want it looks like, but this wasn''t the case.

This style of Farberware urn has been around for quite some time. I wanted one for use when my regular pot didn''t hold enough. This urn will pick up right where a 12-cup home pot leaves off; don''t be misled by the total capacity as it will happily make much less. Unlike the other urns I''ve seen, this one doesn''t look like a refugee from a diner. It is attractive enough to appear on anyone''s buffet table. Unlike many other urns, it is all stainless. I''ve been reading about aluminum leaching from aluminum pots into coffee; not a worry with this one. There is a very large domed lid, as can be seen, and the equally large coffee basket resides underneath. It works like any other percolator; fill with water to the level desired, put the appropriate amount of ground coffee in the basket, and let it do its work. Farberware has always advertised its speed, and certainly this one brews at a cup-a-minute or faster. The coffee made is typically percolator coffee--strong and black, which is the way I like it. This urn will certainly keep the coffee piping hot, but doesn''t seem to leave that burned odor and flavor that so many urns do in commercial establishments. Of course, I haven''t kept coffee for umpteen hours in it, either. These large urns are very easy to clean, as they are of such a large diameter.

I had a MirroMatic urn before this Farberware; I definitely got the burned odor/flavor in that one. I think it had to burn its element more and hotter because the walls of the urn were so thin and lost heat very quickly. This Farberware is much more substantial. Stand it next to a less expensive urn and you will see why it costs more. With this item, you indeed get what you pay for!

I purchased this coffee pot a few weeks ago for my daughter''s graduation party. Not only did it look great (loved the contemporary shape rather than the old upright style), the coffee was perfect, not bitter and stayed hot for hours, not minutes. Also the stout shape made it easier to clean and fill than the traditional style. You can make as little as 12 cups in this coffee urn with no problem..the markings are clear. This is a pricier coffee urn but if you really want to make a good impression and need everything to be perfect I highly recommend this model. Also it is 100% stainless, no cheap plastic parts if this is an issue. This model also comes in a larger size if you need more than 36 cups.

I will not purchase another Farberware product.

I have the FSU 236 urn, which has been used only at family gatherings. When last used, it switched to the warming mode prematurely so all we had was an urn full of tepid dark water. Things break, no big deal.

Well, it is a big deal because a replacement thermostat is not available for this unit. I could not get a hit when I googled the part number stamped on the thermostat and Farberware/Applica/Salton indicated it is not a "consumer replaceable item." Odd, since you can get a thermostat, heating element, warming element, and fuse link for older Farberware urns.

Fine customer no service, at least direct me to a repair shop that would have the part and can fix the urn. Nope.

Then please look in your UL file and tell me the approved thermostats. Nope, that information is "not available and cannot be supplied."

I could understand if this model was discontinued, but it is currently being sold new. No more Farberware for me!

On the bright side, at least I have a lovely pot to ... never mind.

Farberware Stainless Steel 36 cup coffee/water urn: I had originally purchased my first one of these about 30 years ago. I used it about once a week for 25 hours, as needed. It sprung a leak, and I called the company about the repair of this product. I learned that the Farberware company no longer fixes their products that breakdown after a year. So I donated it to the GoodWill Industries store, where they will fix it and resell it discounted. I purchased a new one from Amazon.com about two years ago. After using it for about three months, I noticed that the supposedly stainless steel washer or houser located on the bottom of the 36-cup pot, which connected to the outside spigot, had become corroded. It peeled away, with an interior colored metal showing through! I called up the Farberware company to let them know of this defect. After checking the numbers printed on the bottom underneath the urn, the company rep said that I could have a new urn sent to me, if I returned the urn before the year was up. However, they refused to send me a free mailing label and insisted that I return this item by UPS. UPS charged me over $23. to send it! (I also noticed printed on the bottom of the urn, "Made in China" and that was disappointing to see!) About six weeks later, I received a "reconditioned" 36-cup coffee/water urn, via UPS, from the Farberware co. I was disappointed that it wasn''t new, as was promised me, but I used it anyway as it was needed very much. After only one month, the supposedly stainless steel washer or houser located inside the bottom part of the urn, also peeled away and became corroded and the bottom part became rusty too. When dried out, I washed the insides with a wet, soft cloth which was rinsed with baking soda to remove the rust. It helped, but the defective washer could not be helped. With a wet cotton swab, I cleaned out the inside of the washer which connected to the spigot and found a great deal of rust inside of the hole! I had asked my doctor if there is any harm in drinking hot, rusty water, and she replied that for most people, there is no problem. But since I have a lot of allergies, she told me that drinking rusty water would not be good for my health! So now I just use the urn''s hot water for other purposes, other than for drinking. I am stuck with this urn! Why did I think only "my" urn had a peeling washer/houser? Obviously, it was cheaper to replace all of the manufactured stainless steel urns with washers that were of inferior quality ones! I sure miss the first urn I bought 30 years ago, which was made in the USA! [ASIN:B0000CFSGR Farberware FSU236 36-Cup Coffee Urn]

Culligan TS-500 Scale Inline Filter (1/4 Fittings)" Save 24% Off

Culligan TS-500 Scale Inline Filter''Installed this as a pre-filter for my Alkalux/Tyent water ionizer to reduce scale. Works great! It was easy to install with the included 1/4" fittings, and most importantly...no leaks! I have well water which is very hard and I get a lot of lime scale. This small investment should help my larger investment (the water ionizer) last longer.

Amazon has the capacity wrong. It says on the Culligan paperwork "Change cartridge every 2500 gallons or approximately every 12 months." So, not 4000 gallons. Also, it helps to run water through the filter a few minutes before first use to rinse out the loose carbon. After that...it stays clean.

Great product. There''s lot''s of competing brands out there that all filter water, but none last''s as long...95 gallons vs. 40. This is a no brainer! Water tastes great and saves money. Now when I taste the water from the tap, I can taste the chlorine and the iron in the water, but not with this pitcher. Also, I feel better now that I''m not putting so many plastic water bottles back into the earth. I feel better knowing I''m doing my part. Great buy!

I''m a college student and am experiencing my first quarter away from home, and away from the water purifier tap built-in to my (former) household. In desperate urge to get my hands on some quality purified water I thoroughly searched Amazon for the superior pitcher. Needless to say, Brita has gone downhill over these last years, their pitchers are faulty and their filters are lacking. There was this other fancy brand, Mavea, that cost about $5 more than the Premia, and there seemed to be an issue with the water capacity, but more importantly the quality of filtration. I thought there would be no better alternative than Brita or Mavea, when I spotted this baby, saw rave reviews and decided to purchase. The filters last twice as long as most other brands, and the water tastes excellent.I could not be happier with it, except for the lid, which you have to clasp in your fingers when you need a refill, but this does not inhibit the awesome rating of 5 stars that the Premia deserves.

I have searched Amazon up and down for water filtration pitchers, and I believe this one to be the best in terms of the quality of filters it uses, the design of the pitcher, and the price.

Want better coffee in the morning? This water filter was one of the solutions in our quest for perfect coffee (a Bunn coffee-maker, KitchenAid grinder, and whole beans were the others). Filtered water DOES make a difference, and the Premia does just what it is supposed to do. I can taste the difference.

The pitcher handle is surprisingly comfortable in your hand and gives you the strange sensation that the filled pitcher is lighter than you expect. I initially found myself dropping the top cover into the unfiltered water reservoir when trying to put it on after filling from the tap, and the the top''s slight "handle" is smooth such that it can slip out of your fingers'' hold if you aren''t careful. Wish that part of the piece was rougher. But this is a small criticism of a basically great product, and I never even considered trying a different brand. You can even pour filtered water before the filtering is complete (if you''re careful) without the unfiltered water pouring out once the majority of the unfiltered water has already met its filter fate. Now THAT is some thoughtful designing. It''s all but idiot-proof!

The Premia is an excellent product. Why can''t all products be so well-designed?

You want to hear something scary? I had these brown stains on my tea cup. I went on Amazon and ordered a culligan filter pitch and started using filtered water for my tea. Now the stains are gone. I wonder what the he!! Is in that water? This is an excellent product.

This is a nice handy product to use to filter water. Easy to assemble and use. Filters quickly. I prefer to store the water in a glass container afterwards to eliminate any plastic taste. Then I chill it in the frig. Keeps the filter ready to use later on. Lid stays on well when pouring water out.

Pentek 158117 1/4" #10 Slim Line Clear Filter Housing

Pentek 158117 1/4'' #10 Slim Line Clear Filter Housing
  • Slim filter housing for low-flow applications with space restrictions
  • Clear styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) for on-site viewing of flow and cartridge condition
  • Use with a 10" x 2-1/2" sediment or carbon filter cartridge (sold separately)
  • Initial pressure drop of 2 psi at a flow rate of 3 gpm
  • Maximum temperature of 125 degrees F (51.7 degrees C)

This worked for my purpose... it does seem to be prone to leak if you move it or bump it (or even lightly touch the pressure release button). However, since it''s usually stationary, it didn''t really matter.

I use it to filter oil and works great. They are the same quality as the $30 ones at the box stores.

I purchased this for my CO2 laser, which uses a steady water-flow to keep the laser tube cool. After moving to my new facility, I plugged everything in and noticed there was scale and particles floating inside my $1000+ laser tube. It was cool, since it was evidence that water was actually circulating but floaties inside expensive equipment is just wrong.

Once I connected the filter (and cartridge, sold separately), within 5 minutes (less actually), the water inside the laser tube was crystal clear and the black floaties where hugging the cartridge.

Will I be tasting the quality of this water? No, but it definitely is an improvement for my application.

A side note, anyone installing a water filtration system should understand about water quality before jumping in. There is a ton of online literature but understand it before installing.

For instance, filtering water can become corrosive. Unfiltered water can cause scale in delicate equipment like espresso machines and tea brewers.

Aprilaire 35 Replacement Humidifier Water Pad Save 57% Off

Aprilaire 35 Replacement Humidifier Water PadI purchased this product thinking I would get what was pictured, an OEM Aprilaire water panel. Instead I received a knock off product sold elsewhere on Amazon.com for $5. The product I received was an RPS Products BestAir Water Pad RPS #A35 Furn Humidifier Water Pad. I feel ripped off.

Amazon did quickly refund my purchase price as I did not get what I was promised. Amazon is aware that myself and others have had this bait and switch problem and I hope they update the picture and description to reflect you are not getting an OEM product as pictured.

I do not understand why people who were scammed still gave this product a good review. This is not what you ordered and paid for. I would give it zero stars if that was possible.

I cannot believe that Amazon lets these folks get away with showing an real Aprilaire replacement panel in the picture and then sending a cheap knock off product. It is a complete scam. Yes, Amazon refunded the money spent, but it really hurts their reputation.

You can spend $$$ to have your heating and cooling people come replace your humidifier filter, or you can buy this and do it yourself.

The box has clear instructions and it takes zero intelligence. It''s about as hard as cleaning the lint filter in your dryerthe difference is you just toss out the old filter and replace with the new, obviously. From start to finish, it takes about three and a half minutes.

You should replace this filter no less often than once a year.

I bought this from "Complete Filtration Services" they did not send me the Aprilaire product shown in the image, but a non-OEM one by some other company.

It was inexpensive and it seems to be working fine, judging by the humidity monitor in my home, but I was not too pleased with the misleading image showing a different product than the one they actually sent.

After years of paying for maintenance on my humidifier along with my heater and air conditioner, I finally realized that all they were really doing was charging me to check and replace the water panel. It''s a very simple thing to do yourself.

This product seems to be identical to what I was replacing, so there''s no issue with quality.

The only thing to be aware of is that this contains ONLY the water panel, and not the plastic housing. Not a big deal as you can just slide the old one out and the new one in.

After, the Virginia earthquake, my well water tested at 792 units of coliform bacteria per 100 ml. I installed the Doulton Rio 2000 filter. The water tested at 0 units coliform. Unfortunately, the filter required cleaning very 5 to 8 days to restore water flow. Upstream of the Doulton filter, I had a 2 micron filter. The 2 micron filter did not clog but passed enough sediment, or maybe bacteria, to clog the Doulton filter rapidly. Obviously, it clogged because it was working but it was not a practical solution for whole house water cleaning. I considered putting more filters in parallel with the first, but 5 times nothing is still nothing, so I connected to municipal water which was available. The Doulton filter works, but it may not be practical for all circumstances.

The filter was supposed to come in a blue housing and instead it arrived in clear housing which is not as durable. Also looks like I may need a pressure regulator to keep the water under 70 PSI which was not mentioned in filter description. I did not receive installation directions. Hopefully this filter housing will not crack as I have read bad reviews on clear housing filters. I will update my review once it is installed and working for a while.

This is first a positive comment on the service from the supplier, "Decospace." I had earlier found this filter at slightly lower cost but the other vendor failed to even address my questions. The Decospace vendor answered everything quickly, anticipated my questions and concerns, making sure I got the desired fitting sizes, and even got the filter set delivered in very short time.

With respect to the product itself, it is not yet installed. So I can''t legitimately comment just yet. However, the product seems very well made and durable. Unlike some other solutions from other vendors, this one came with a supplied filter wrench. I''ll fill in more when there are some results.

Wagner 915 1,500-Watt On-Demand Power Steamer and Cleaner
  • No messy chemicals or chemical residue for steam cleaning or wallpaper removal
  • On-demand fingertip steam control for continuous or intermittent steam
  • Wallpaper steam plate removes wallpaper 20 percent faster than non-pressurized steamers
  • Steam-cleaning action kills bacteria to sanitize surfaces inside and outside the house
  • Eight-foot steam hose allows for a large working area; includes two extension tubes for great reach

First off, make sure you read all the directions before use! After getting through the short manual, I set up shop in the bathroom and intended to clean every surface. It took about 15-20 minutes with a full tank (48 oz) to be ready for use. I kept the bathroom door closed and locked because I was concerned about my children and puppies being curious and getting hurt. I understand why it takes so long to get going, but I was worried that one of my little ones would get into it. There really should be a lock on the trigger seeing as it has to be left for so long to warm up and all it takes is a second to get some major burns. That said, locking it in the bathroom did the trick for me.

Once it was ready, I started with the brass nozzle and cleaned my bathtub and shower. It worked very well with a bit of elbow grease to remove all the build up in the grout and around the shower head which are always a pain to keep clean. It was very easy to clean the areas around my faucet that are too narrow to clean with anything other than a toothbrush. I also did some polishing up of the toilet and the toddler seats and felt really great about the idea of disinfecting everything without chemicals. I had wanted a versatile cleaner like this for some time as my mother has a nice one that I''ve always been jealous of, but it costs her $40 every time she needs to refill the chemicals and they go pretty fast with regular use. As a result, she doesn''t use it as much as she would like to. Not so with this steamer! I absolutely love that it''s just tap water. So easy and simple. The manual does warn that over time you can get mineral build up from using non-distilled water but gives you clear directions on how to clean that up so I''m sure it won''t be an issue when/if it happens.

Before finishing up with the nozzle, I found my own personal perfect use for the steamer. Cleaning my window screens! Several times a year, I have to take apart all our windows and haul the screens into the backyard to spray down with the hose. Not only is this time consuming, but it isn''t all that effective. I still have to use up a ton of towels wiping them down to get them really clean. I decided to give the steamer a try on my bathroom screens and oh my gosh! Instantly clean. No scrubbing, no wiping, just clean. Even if I could use it for nothing else, I would use it for this. It will save me SO much time and headache in the long run.

Once I was done with the screen, I wanted to try the squeegee attachment on the windows and mirror. I am impatient and was annoyed that I had to wait 20 minutes for the attachment to cool before I could swap it out, so I used my oven mitt and easily took off the nozzle and replaced it with the squeegee. I''m very picky about streaky glass, and was VERY pleased that within seconds I had my mirror clean from top to bottom, even at the very top where I can''t normally reach without a step ladder or climbing onto the vanity. It did leave little pools of water at the bottom but a quick wipe and it was cleaned up. And NO STREAKS!!

Finally, I put on the floor attachment and went to work on my tile. It was very quick and very simple. I left it to air dry as normal and the floor was clean in half the time with no chemicals. I love this steamer so much! It''s making my family healthier thanks to being able to throw out the chemicals and it''s saving me time and money. Does it get any better?!

My only gripes are the fact that there is no safety lock on the trigger for use when it''s warming up and that there''s no on board storage for all the accessories. I get that they wanted to keep the unit small and portable, but I have all this bulky accessories with nowhere to store them. Also, the cord is pretty short. I can imagine this is for safety reasons, but it''s kind of a nuisance to keep moving it from plug to plug, even within a single room. Overall though, well worth the money!

Please note that I have posted before and after images for 2 different stains on cement floors.

The first thing I did when this item arrived is pour myself a tall cup of coffee and read the instruction booklet. Radically banal, I know, but I did this for 2 reasons:

1) Things that steam and operate under pressure wig me out a bit

2) Is it advised for use on my specific application? (Cement floor? Answer: yes)

My Main Intended Application (possible gross-out alert):

This steamer is marketed primarily for wall-paper removal. While my house does not have any wall-paper, it does have certain tell-tale signs that 4 cats live here. They have produced prodigious and near-permanent 3-D stains using every orifice available to them. Scrub-brushes, a garden hoe, bleach, TSP, Brillo pads ... NOTHING removes the stains that went undetected for more than a couple of days, especially on our basement''s cement floor.

WHAT I LIKE:

1) Ease of set-up and ease of use not messy, though it did scare the cats, and required lots of paper towels

2) Attachments (1 jet nozzle, 2 nozzle brushes, 2 extension wands, 1 steam plate, 1 large cleaning brush, 1 squeegee)

3) Light-weight, easy to carry up and down stairs

4) 16 ounces of water heated in just a few minutes (max of 48 ounces will require longer time)

5) Results on cement floor outstanding!! (see my Customer Images) Just a few swipes with the cleaning brush attachment did the job (plus a whole lot of paper towels).

WHAT I DO NOT LIKE POTENTIAL HAZARD:

This steamer has no water-level indicator and you should use your own timer to prevent fire and/or electric shock from allowing the steamer to boil dry. The machine DOES have a thermal safety fuse reset capability for when the steamer is allowed to run WHILE dry (i.e. if you turn the machine on without filling the reservoir first), yet it does not seem to kick in if the steamer had been previously filled but allowed to boil dry. Thus, for safety, you have to be VERY mindful about your usage time based on how much water you have inserted (see "Good To Know" below). The manufacturers seriously need to add at least an automated timer to this machine and ideally an auto-shut-off feature.

WHAT I DID NOT EXPECT:

During my first 10 minutes of use, I had to stop and wait 4 times for the water to reheat. This is a bit of a pain for longer periods of cleaning, but I can get used to this. (I just have to remember to look at the indicator lights very frequently; when the light is red, the machine is working on creating steam, therefore you must wait for the light to turn green again, indicating steam is available for use.)

GOOD TO KNOW:

1) 16 ounces of water provides 15 minutes of steam time

2) 32 ounces of water provides 30 minutes of steam time

3) 48 ounces of water (max capacity) provides 45 minutes of steam time

4) Distilled water is recommended over regular tap water.

5) You''ll most likely need an extension cord, and only a heavy duty 3-wire 3-prong (grounded) cord.

6) You''ll need to use your own timer to avoid a hazardous boiled-dry situation.

BOTTOM LINE:

For cleaning nasty old 3-D pet-stained cement floors, I am positively pleased with this steamer. What this steamer was able to accomplish in just 10 minutes outweighs the concerns I mentioned above. I am looking forward to experimenting with all the attachments and getting to know this machine much better.

I was very excited when this came in the mail today. My luck with a steam cleaner has not been very good lately. This can be attested to a steam cleaner (McCulloch 1246) I bought a few months back and after trying it on, provided extremely disappointing results, it was returned within the day I received it. Only a comprehensive evaluation of the Wagner 915 On-Demand Power Steamer would tell if my excitement will turn into exhiliration or disappointment, and I am proud to conclude, it has exceeded my expectations of what a steam cleaner should be in every way.

The Wagner 915 comes in a bright yellow-colored body and it is ready to roll right out of the box: fill it up with water, attach the jet nozzle, plug it in the outlet, wait a few minutes for steam and pressure to build up and voila! steam power at your command, ready to tackle the most demanding cleaning job in your household.

It comes with following attachments: the main jet nozzel, plastic and metal brush, attachment to remove wallpapers and the mopping attachment. My first order of battle for this steam cleaner is the bathroom. Once the red light indicator turns off, just leaving the green light, it means you''re ready to wage your war on germs. I tried it first on the shower curtains and the superheated and high pressure steam blasted away soap scums like it wasn''t there. The superheated steam softens the scum and the pressure blasts it away at the same time. The grout also proved no match for this steamer. Along with the plastic brush attachment, a gentle scrubbing motion was all it took to make the stain disappear on the grout edges. Since the steam was very hot, you can also sanitize the toilet without worrying about the smell of chemical cleaners or getting it on your skin. My second task was the stove top, oven and the microwave. Again, the superheated steam and both the plastic and metal brush, softened the baked in grime and stain and blasted it away with high pressure. All that needs to be done in the end is a simple wipe. You can also prefer to skip the wiping and just air dry it. I haven''t tried the wallpaper remover attachment since there are no wall papers anywhere in my home.

Be advised though that, you need to have a little patience when using a steam cleaner. As you prolong the steaming, you release pressure from the steaming unit and it needs to build up again. This is the purpose of the red light indicator. If the red light is on, it means it is building up steam and pressure. It has exceeded my expectations in the sense that with the Wagner 915, this steamer MAINTAINED the superheated status of the steam for a much longer time compared to the previous steam cleaner I had, the McCulloch 1246. Maintaining the heat of the steam for a prolonged period of time is very important feature in my opinion as it gets your task done faster without the frequent waiting in between for the steam cleaner to heat up and build pressure again. The McCulloch 1246 failed miserably with this feature. (You can read all about this in my separate review for the McCulloch). Another nice thing with the wagner is that it has its own compartment where you can store the tiny plastic and metal brush. It can be stored there after using the steamer, eliminating the need to look for it elsewhere or misplacing it. Be careful though because it is also where the water tank opening is located and just after using the steamer, the tank cap can be very hot so avoid getting in contact with it right after use.

Other reviewers noted the short power cord. This is a minor gripe in my opinion as I can always use an extension cord. Overall, very impressed with the performance of this product and I just hope it continues to function well and not break down in the near future. Highly recommended!

Want Wagner 915 1,500-Watt On-Demand Power Steamer and Cleaner Discount?

I purchased the wagner steam cleaner because the 1st one I purchased (McCulloch MC-1275 Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner) broke after the 2nd time I used it. I liked the wagner because

1. The wagner steam cleaner is lighter and more sturdily built compared to the McCulloch.

2. The wagner emits a more powerful jet of steam compared to the McCulloch which is useful in cleaning the bathroom and fixtures.

3. The squegee on the Wagner left no streaks vs some streaks left by the McCulloch

4. The wagner came with a cloth/mop that was really useful in mopping the floors. You could use any small towel as well as there is space to pin a cloth onto the tool.

5. The wagner works with tap water whereas the McCulloch requires distilled water.

The only disadvantage to the wagner is that the electric cord is really too short. I have purchased the "Stanley 31536 Heavy Duty 9-Foot 110V Extension Cord, Grey" from amazon to compensate for the short cord on the wagner.

I have both this new 915 model and the previous 905 model, which are essentially the same in functionality. The new one has a much more rugged design with a better handle, slightly lighter trigger, new holster, and a thicker plastic shell. A redesigned light makes it easier to tell when the steam is ready. The old model had plastic that cracked easily. The changes that are less of an improvement are: shorter power cord, shorter steamer hose, two fewer little scrubber brushes, and no measuring cup. Having a few extra brushes is nice since that''s what most people will run through when cleaning and a longer hose makes it easier to work with. A shorter hose may improve steamer performance with hotter steam coming out but I haven''t measured this.

Overall this is better because the old machine just wasn''t that well designed in a few areas and they''ve fixed those problems. For $90 this thing is a bargain and worth the minor inconveniences associated with it''s consumer level design.

Keurig Single Serve Coffee and Tea Brewing System

Keurig Single Serve Coffee and Tea Brewing SystemI give this 3 stars just because it is a Keurig and the single serve system is great.

I do however have a beef with this model. Not only is it more expensive than your BJ''s or Costco it also lacks certain features you get when you purchase the B70 model. I just bought mine at BJ''s and I am returning it to purchase a B70 model.

The differences are:

B70 ( Platinum )

Cup sizes up to 12oz

Adjustable Temp

Lacks the 72 K-Cups instead you get 12.

B77 ( Select )

Stops at 10oz

No Adjustable Temp.

Bonus 72 K-Cups instead of the 12.

If you don''t care much for the differences then the extra K-cups might make it worth the buy. I would still suggest you get it from BJ''s or Costco since this price is $30 more here than they have it for.

I wanted the 12oz so I decided to forgo the extra k-cups and I am going for the B70 (Platinum).

We''ve had ours for about two weeks and it is exactly what we wanted it to be. The coffee it makes is excellent, and with this particular package you''re not locked into the (rather expensive) K-Cups since it comes with a My K-Cup filter for your own coffee, and if you don''t mind paying for the K-Cups there''s still a huge selection available, starting with Keurig''s parent company Green Mountain Coffee and extending to several other smaller specialty coffee roasters. It''s dead simple to use and even knocks out a couple of useless features from the B70 model (the unnecessary temperature control and the pathetically weak 11-oz serving size). On the whole, this package is an excellent bargain for a single-serve coffee maker -if you know where to look.

I''m not too sure what''s going on with the pricing on Amazon''s partners here, but we wound up buying ours at a warehouse store and saving thirty dollars off the street price for a B70; considering what the K-Cups go for and how much the filter adapter costs, we essentially got the coffee maker for not much more than the price of the Mini. The price difference between there and here led me to knock a star off the rating. The upshot, though, is that if you''re going to buy a Keurig brewer and you don''t think the Keurig Mini will suit your needs (the B77 has a water tank suitable for 4-6 people), this is the brewer and package to get.

I''d been searching for a coffee maker for some time. So many look good and the price range is ridiculous, what does a girl buy? I knew I didn''t want a coffee maker with a large pot, my husband doesn''t drink coffee and I typically drink one or two cups. I owned a Senseo at one time but primarily used it for tea, the coffee always had a funky cardboard taste to me. To get a decent selection of coffees or teas I had to go online, it just wasn''t convenient to have to order my pods and wait for them.

The Keurig is a whole different story. I was at at store and saw this, I was still on the fence until I saw this new model could make a glass of iced tea as well. Needless to say I was sold, yay for impulse buying!! I love how quick this makes coffe, tea and hot chocolate. The manual says it could take over a minute for a cup but I''ve found it''s always less than a minute. I also love the fact I can locally buy the K-cups if I run out or I can use the mycup if I want to use my own coffee or tea.

My in-laws came out for a couple of weeks and they fell in love with this too. They are the typical older parents, they know what they like and don''t want to change. They like their Folgers Classic and that''s what they wanted to drink. I knew they could use the Mycup but I had no idea on the amount or if the taste would be different. I had only used Mycup for tea, which it worked fine for. They came out, I should them how to use it and I think they liked this machine a little more everyday. About a week into their visit they said they wanted one for home and the Keurig actually made the coffee taste better.

Oh, and I like the light for the water reservoir. It''s bright enough to act as a night light in the kitchen but not so bright it''s annoying. The light also blinks when the water gets low, again a nice, non-annoying way to let me know to fill it.

Pros:

Easy to use

Easier to clean than a coffee maker

Saves money, no wasted coffee

Brews a better cup of coffee

Brew good hot chocolate, we use the Cafe Escapes K-cups

Easy to find K-cups locally and are cheaper than online

Everyone can get the coffee, tea, hot chocolate they want

Brews quickly

Cons:

Now we have to buy one for the in-laws

Reservoir could be bigger but then I suppose it would make the foot print bigger, which I wouldn''t want.

I bought this because my family has different schedules for work and we are all coffee drinkers. I was constantly pouring out an entire pot of coffee or the last one out the door would stop at Starbuck''s because the coffee had gone stale. The Keurig has been perfect, now everyone can have a fresh cup of coffee on their schedule. My daughter loves Iced Lattes and would stop at Starbuck''s or MacDonald''s everyday to purchase one (at approx. $4). She found the iced beverage feature on the Keurig. Just fill your glass with ice, use the Iced beverage setting with your favorite coffee and add some Vanilla flavored Coffeemate (or your flavor of choice). This is just as good as any Iced Latte I have ever purchased and WAY cheaper!! The only problem is now I am hooked on them!!! The coffee assortment is great because it lets you find which coffees you like or would not buy again without purchasing an entire box.

Be aware that the "big-box" retailers will sell this B77 brand-new, factory sealed, with 72 k-cups for 139 which is a much more compelling buy than the currently listed price on this listing on Amazon.

The Keurig B77 surpassed my expectations. I read all the horror stories but also read the glowing reviews. I have had no issues. I''ve had it about a month and we make 8-10 cups of coffee a day. It is quiet, it is fast and it is super convenient. I use a third-party basket which enables me to use my own coffee thus saving a significant amount of money on K-cups. But I also use K-cups and they are so convenient to use. You can even re-use the K-cups if you learn the technique. In my video review I grabbed the wrong stuff out of my cabinet when explaining how to re-use a K-cup... what you want to use to seal the top of the k-cup is something similar to "Press-n-Seal." For me, the Keurig B77 is a winner.

Sorry that the audio is a little wonky on the video. I decided to overdub my voice for most of the video since my camera audio quality was not very good. Unfortunately it resulted in a less than perfect audio track.

Brita Everyday Water Filter Pitcher Save 12% Off

Brita Everyday Water Filter PitcherIt was time to replace my old Brita Pitcher, so I decided on this model. I am very happy so far. It is large (10 cups) yet the design seems like it takes up less space in the fridge.

It claims to be BPA free (I didn''t test it). And it works with the standard Brita filters. If you are familiar with Brita filters and like them, then this is a great pitcher for you.

It doesn''t have the fancy lights or date indicators to tell you when to change your filter, but I had those before and they didn''t work too well anyway. This basic model comes with the "sticker system" which allows you to put a sticker on the pitcher itself or on your refrigerator. The sticker has a reusable indicator that you can move to show when the filter is supposed to be replaced. (They recommend every 2 months, but depending on how much water you go through, it could be more or less frequently).

I''m very happy with my purchase of this basic pitcher, and I definitely recommend it to anyone in the market for a water filtering pitcher.

I live in Chicago and the tap water here is unpleasant, to say the least. There are so many different options when it comes to water filtration that vary from pitchers to tap-attachments to coolers. My boyfriend and I live on a strict budget so the latter two were out of the question. We drink a lot of water so we were looking for a relatively cost-efficient pitcher that would hold a considerable amount of water.

Brita has several different options in terms of sizes, colors and features (including digital calendars). We chose this pitcher since it was larger than most and had no frills, which brought the cost down considerably. Included in the box is a resusable vinyl sticker than you can adjust to remind you when to change your filter. Not as fancy as a digital calendar, but it does the trick!

The quality of water is leaps and bounds above the bare tap water. Thankfully the filters come on sale quite frequently and can also be found on Amazon or at Costco for decent prices. What I like about this pitcher is that it is quite large and a full pitcher holds about 4 pints of water before needing to be refilled, which is reasonable. It also feels quite heavy and solid to hold, which is nice, considering I''ve seen some of the smaller models take tumbles off countertops and crack upon impact on the floor.

This is a great water filtration option at a reasonable price. I recommend it!

I''ve been using Brita pitchers for 20+ years and have used a variety of its products. In the last 6 or 7 years, each time I got a new Brita pitcher, I just got more disappointed.

Brita initially had a brilliantly designed product that caught on. Then they started tinkering with the design. But I guess there was a shortage of brain power (or an over-abundant supply of idiocy), so the design kept on getting worse: The lid started to fall off when water was being poured from the pitcher. Then the lid started NOT to fit...

This particular model has several issues:

1. It is very difficult to lift the filtering reservoir out of the pitcher. That is because the lip area has enough of an opening for fingers to grab the reservoir, but the handle-side is flush--and slightly receded under the handlebar. The reservoir is design such that one must use two hands to lift it, or else it won''t come out. But there is only one place (barely) for two fingers.

2. Brita pitchers always had a flap at the spout, which conveniently keeps debris from falling into the pitcher. But it is not in this design. Gone.

Don''t know what they are thinking or who messed with the original design. But this is truly annoying. I hope a new company can emerge to challenge Brita''s dominance in this market and I''d be among the first to switch.

On my last model, the lid flipped up. Now you have to remove it every time. I think that could have been improved upon.

The size is good though, so I can''t really complain about anything else. The water tasted great. I like Brita.

I bought this to replace a smaller 4 cup version. This is simple and that is what''s great about it. I also have an older version with a flip cap over the spout. This was a bad design because the cap always got stock and spilled all over the floor and my socks when I tried to pour it.

This version removes the hinged cap over the spout and provides exactly what I need from a Brita filter; clean, cold water in a container that I don''t have to constantly refill.
