Venta Airwasher Venta Demineralization Replacement Cartridge Save 25% Off

Venta Airwasher Venta Demineralization Replacement CartridgeSince I didn''t see it listed either in the specs or the reviews, I''ll just note that (according to the box it comes in), this is the replacement cartridge for Venta-Sonic models:

VS 100

VS 205

VS 207

I can confirm it fits properly in the VS 207, since that''s what I have.

They don''t carry it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond anymore, so this is the only place I could find it.

Blue flakes formed in excess water beginning with second cleaning process within a two and a half week period (a pattern of three consecutive nights on, two days without use of humidifier throughout the 2 1/2 week period). Never happened during the previous two years of performance. Purchased two filters: Preparing to use second filter much sooner than expected (filters are advertised to be used for to two months with normal use). Hopefully, the second filter will meet with previous satisfaction, and only one refund will need to be requested.

The filter was an exact replacement for the system we have at home; after ordering it it arrived within a week (sooner than expected) and it cost us less than half what was been advertised by their competitors. I would definitively buy again from this site.

Klean Kanteen Poly Sports 2.0 Cap

Klean Kanteen Poly Sports 2.0 CapI was almost ready to quit using my cap because it was embarassing to use,no matter how slowly and quietly I tried drinking from it!

But, I sent klean kanteen an email asking if they had any suggestions, not really expecting an answer...but I did get an email back with the answer I hoped for. The tip they gave me WORKED, and I absolutely love the cap now, and it doesn''t make a sound!

So, here''s what they sent to me....I hope it works for you too.

From Klean Kanteen: "I do have some tips for using the sports caps. They are our most popular cap, as well as our most complained about. It is the air pressure that makes that funny noise.

Sports caps were originally designed and used with plastic drinking bottles, and with those, we have the ability to squeeze and change the pressure coming in and out. Because you cannot squeeze stainless steel, air has a more difficult time getting inside and making the water flow out. We had to alter the design to include an air vent in the cap to allow the pressure to escape. This air vent does have a silicone plug and valve; it helps to keep the water in.

1) The trick is to "gently" tighten the sports cap onto kanteen. Not over tightening the cap allows the silicone vent to function more quietly by relieving the vacuum created inside the kanteen.

2) Try to keep the air vent facing up toward your nose. This way, it keeps the vent facing upward so it is backed by air, not by the liquid.

3) Only tilt a little and then suck through the spout.

Try those tips, and in most cases they will take care of the noise and air flow issues.

The silicone white dot is the air vent; if you take it out it will leak. There is some natural variation among the silicone stoppers and the noise that you hear is air moving past the silicon. Some people who use the bottle specifically for sports and working out will actually take out the silicone stopper and find that they don''t mind the drip as a trade off for the increased flow.

The little plastic cover of the sports cap, is a sanitary cover. It is not intended to bear the weight of a full kanteen, it is just to keep the nozzle klean and safe to drink from.

I hope that helps.... Let me know if you have any other questions.

I recently gave up buying bottled water. While I don''t miss dealing with all the plastic bottles, I did miss the sports cap that my favorite brand came with. I was happy to see that Klean Kanteen offers a sports cap, and I am happy that it works just like any other sports-capped bottle I''ve used.

Like other reviewers noted, my sports cap whistled when I took a drink. Thanks to another reviewer, I discovered that if I loosen the cap just a little, I get a much better flow of water and no whistling. Basically, my sports cap works best if I tighten it just to the point of stopping and then no more. (My habit is to use more pressure and tighten it that extra turn or so.) Even though I leave off that extra turn, I have had no problem with leaking.

Buy Klean Kanteen Poly Sports 2.0 Cap Now

For the longest time, I held off on buying products like this one after reading several so-so reviews, or the one or two negative reviews in a bunch of good ones. It took me a long time to figure out that the very existence of an opinion forum will invite some people to nitpick, and often to even find problems where none actually exist. Such is exactly the case with the Klean Kanteen Sport Cap 2.0. I own three such caps, and exchange them among three Klean Kanteen bottles. I''ve never had the least bit of trouble tightening or untightening any of the caps on any of the bottles. Before writing this review, I went to a local store that sells these, and did another check there, exchanging several Sport Caps 2.0 with several Klean Kanteen water bottles. The result: Not a single problem. The caps all fit well, and tightened and untightened easily on every Klean Kanteen of every size that I tried them on. It''s always possible that someone got a defective bottle or cap, but I find it difficult indeed to imagine that the average person would have any trouble whatsoever in this department.

As for flow and noise: The Sport Cap 2.0 is designed to increase the flow, and it certainly does. After a long run, I can drain a 27-ounce KK in well under 10 seconds with this cap on it. It''s a cinch to wash it, and other than that it requires no maintenance. The only "drawback", if you want to call it that, is the slight whistling sound the cap makes when you drink from it--not some mysterious, strange sound that will make people wonder, but the ordinary sound of air rushing through a small hole in the cap, past a small silicone valve. The noise could probably be eliminated altogether if the valve hole was bigger--but this would make leaks much more likely (as it is, I can shake, drop, run with, and roll my KKs across the floor with no leakage whatsoever from this cap). In any case, I''ve used my KKs with this cap at work, in the classroom, and even in the quiet zone of a research library and never gotten so much as a curious glance due to this "noise" that is about as audible as a grumbling stomach.

Unless you spend most of your time inside a completely silent echo chamber, the air-flow sound won''t be a problem for you, and as my three-year-old nephew can tighten one of these caps just fine, I doubt you''ll find that to be an issue either. If you''re looking for an excellent, easy-to-use-and-clean, high-flow cap for a KK, this is just the thing.

Its a solid sports cap that is designed specifically for KK. The reason it whistles is that the Kanteen is solid steel and unlike plastic bottles you cannot squeeze it to get the water out. You actually have to suck on the cap to get the water out. There is actually a little soft plastic valve that opens when theres negative pressure in the bottle letting air in from the outside. This is what causes the whistling. If you orient the cap so that this valve is on top and not touching the water inside, it wont make that chirping noise. A bit annoying (thus the -1 star) but it isnt something that is a real dealbreaker.

I initially bought the first version of the sport cap only to find it difficult to screw into the bottle and very, VERY noisy when drinking. It makes an odd squeaking sound, much to the amusement of my colleagues at lunch. So when I saw that this cap was specifically advertised as having better flow and less noise, I happily sent off my money.

It does flow more freely. Unfortunately, it also still squeaks. "Quieter" apparently means "less squeaky" rather than "silent." In contrast to KK''s other caps, this one also requires a great deal of effort to screw into the bottle. I generally have to wrap a cloth around the cap, twist hard, and grunt. Given these caveats, the sport cap is still more convenient than having to unscrew a regular cap every time you want to drink, but Sport Cap 2.0 does have issues.

The quality and design functionality makes this item superior to it''s predecessor in all regards.

The movable top tube overhangs the edge of my sink and does not dribble on the counter and the longer plastic hose allows more convenient out of the way placement. I also find the faucet attachment valve design much improved with no dripping.

Purchasing this item from Amazon was a good decision.

I am very happy with the product itself. It performs as advertised and has removed hardwater stains from my dish washer and prevents the need for frequent maintenance of my tankless water heater.

My complaint is that I have to buy these cartridges through Nuvo H2O with high shipping costs (no prime available) and that they don''t offer a subscription approach.

I wish they would take a page out of Alen Air filters. Alen partners with Amazon to offer the option to purchase a steady supply of filters at regular intervals at a discount and with no shipping for Prime customers. This is a win for everyone. Because they don''t have to wait until I remember to order, I buy them more regularly which means more money in a steady flow. I don''t have the hassle of having to research and place the order each time.

Also Nuvo H2O''s website offers a high performance cartridge for harder water areas such as mine. I don''t see it on Amazon.com. I hope they will improve their sales model, which would also improve my loyalty when the inevitable cheaper comptetitor comes along.

This product came out recently and only requires that the filter be changed about every 6 months or so, when the soap stops getting bubbly when you use it. It is very easr to use and you don''t even have to take it apart like home water filters. You turn a knob which diverts the water, replace the filter, and turn the knob back on. Your water softener is back on. No bags of salt. Nothing to recycle. It is a natural product based of citrus product. All natural. Our dishes are cleaner, no sudsy rings and we LOVE it!

We moved in to our new home in June 2012. Because our water is off the hardness scale, we installed a NuvoH2O system. I am able to keep our chrome, porcelain, and stainless steel fixtures looking new. This is not relying only on the water system. We squeegee the shower after each use. I wipe down the chrome and stainless steel after each use. I use Barkeeper''s friend if I need additional help. All this may sound like a lot, but in looking at our neighbor''s fixtures, who I know also clean frequently, it would be impossible without the Nuvo system. We have one neighbor who has a Nuvo, and their experience is similar to ours. The other neighbors fixtures have stains and hard water build up. With water like ours, it is important to replace the filters every six months, as advised. I noticed a little build up beginning in the toilets toward the end of the six-month period. Upon replacing the filter, the build-up disappeared.

Hamilton Beach Stay or Go Personal Cup Pod Coffeemaker 49990Z

Hamilton Beach Stay or Go Personal Cup Pod Coffeemaker 49990ZBack when the Senseo coffee makers were first introduced, I recall them giving away coffee machines to get them in the hands of coffee drinkers and hopefully gain favorable word-of-mouth marketing. Unfortunately, some of those coffee machines developed problems. I remembered that when I declined to receive my free Senseo machine. Fast forward to today and it appears they not only addressed their mechanical problems, but now they''ve allowed other companies to make machines that use Senseo coffee pods. I was finally willing to give the Senseo system a shot, with the Hamilton Beach Stay or Go Coffeemaker.

PROS:

Very inexpensive

Quick to brew

Easy clean up

Pods are reasonably priced

CONS:

May require 2 pods for a travel mug

Not many 3rd party pod makers

Not the highest build quality

I was a heavy coffee drinker in college and at my first office job but have otherwise been a casual java drinker since. I had owned coffee machines in the past but typically went the route of the Peet''s, Starbucks, Caribou, etc. It was easier, more social, and usually tasted better. Going through the motions with a coffee maker at home was an arduous task, which often resulted in me having to throw away many bags of coffee due to expiration. I''d recently received a Keurig-based machine for review and really enjoyed it. When I got the chance to try a Senseo (pronounced, SEN-SAY-OH) coffeemaker, I was excited to compare them.

The first thing I noticed was that the build quality didn''t really seem all that great, but for the price, I guess I shouldn''t expect the quality of the pricier Keurig. The reservoir is large enough to hold water for an average-sized travel mug/tumbler. Unlike my Mr.Coffee Keurig, you can actually fit a travel mug underneath the drip. Unfortunately, a travel mug is NOT included with the coffee machine. To use it with just a normal coffee mug, you can remove the stand and flip it around to raise the mug closer to the drip. A drip tray is at the bottom of the stand and the entire stand is removable for cleaning.

To brew the coffee, you just remove the brew basket and place a pod (or 2 if you wish) in the basket. Then, put as much water as you intend to brew (up to 14 ounces) and hit the ON switch. It finishes brewing within just a couple of minutes. Clean up is as easy as a Keurig because you just dump the pods out of the brew basket and just rinse the brew basket. The difference in cleanup is that the Keurig requires some regular maintenance to remove scaling and hard water buildup. The Hamilton Beach Stay or Go''s brew basket is all you really need to clean and it is dishwasher safe.

The coffee itself tasted good and 18 pods are included with the coffee machine. I can''t say for certain if it tastes any different than a Keurig because I don''t have the exact same coffee to brew in each machine to tell the difference.

The difference to me is the variety of coffee available for each. It appears that Senseo is the primary maker of pods for their machines. I saw very few 3rd party pod makers for Senseo machines, while Keurig has a much greater selection of coffee flavors as well as makers. I think in general, the K-Cups are a bit more expensive than the Senseo pods but I found the difference to be insignificant in my opinion.

Overall, the Hamilton Beach Stay or Go pod coffee maker is a good value. It brews quickly and clean up is a breeze. While it is probably cheaper in the long run to own a Senseo machine and to buy pods, I prefer the wider selection of K-Cup coffee. If you enjoy specific blends that Senseo already makes however, then the Hamilton Beach Stay or Go is a good simple choice.

I am going to be using this coffee maker upstairs. I have a very bad back and going downstairs for a cup of coffee is sometimes not worth the trip. This unit does not come with a cup, you use your own. It is very simple to use. Simply put one or two of the Senseo pads in the holder, fill your cup with water (leave room for milk/cream if you use it) pour the water in the top of the unit and hit the button. Your cup is steaming hot in about 3 minutes.

The Senseo coffee pads come in many flavors are available everywhere. You can save on Amazon by buying in bulk as well as saving an extra %15 by subscribing and having a certain amount shipped to you on a regular basis. The first Senseo flavor I tried was the 10% Kona and its very good, not overpowering and had no bitter after taste. An alternative to Senseo pods may be to get a pack of the Ecopad, the Refillable Coffee Filter for the Classic Senseo and use your favorite brew. I do not know for sure if they will work for sure with this pod maker nor do I have the Second Generation Coffeeduck PERMANENT Refillable Coffee Filter for the Senseo SUPREME & DELUXE ONLY but it may be an option to use with your own coffee. Also there are other companies that make pod coffee besides Senseo including Melitta, Timothy''s World and even Starbucks. Some research would have to be done on sizes though to make sure they compare with the Senseo pods that fit this coffee maker.

PROS

Simple, fast, good cup of coffee.

Stylish

Works with travel mugs or regular coffee cups

CONS

Cost of Senseo coffee.

Very short cord. Designed for a kitchen counter so may need an extension cord if used elsewhere

Neutral

Be aware it comes with no cup. (But it does come with a bag of 18 medium roast Senseo pads!)

I''ve never owned a Hamilton Coffee maker of any kind and I must say this one is quite nice. I''ve had my Krupps for many years and it has about had it. This Hamilton Stay and Go is simple... no timer, no bells or whistles but it does make a nice cup of coffee. It has this shelf that is built-in that when engaged it holds a standard 8 oz. mug closer to where the coffee dispenses so that it doesn''t fall five inches and make a mess. The to-go decanter you see in the picture does not come with the coffee maker. It does come with an 18 count bag of Senseo medium roast coffee, one disk for 8 oz and two for 14 oz. Unfortunately it does not come with a filter although one can be purchased for it. So if you want to drink your own brand of coffee or Teeccino you''ll have to buy the filter. The Senseo coffee is good but it''s not cost effective and there''s much better coffee out there in my opinion. If you''re single or the only coffee drinker in the house I recommend it but for a large family it just won''t do.

I purchased the HB Stay or Go brewer a month ago. It is worth every penny. No need to spend $100 on a designer model. If you don''t like the pods (I don''t), you can brew your own coffee blend by using the generic small sized coffee filters (the ones about 1 1/2 inches high) from the grocery store. They nestle neatly into the pod basket, allowing you to use any coffee grounds you prefer. After two cups, I figured out the right amount of coffee for me (two tablespoons per 8 once cup). Rinse the brew basket and you are ready to make another cup.

And, of course, you can brew a 14 once mug by doubling the amount of coffee in the basket. If you want a fresh cup of hot coffee every time with very little hassle, this is the way to go.

I work for a company that apparently recycles automotive batteries by draining the spent electrolytic fluid, mixing it with laser toner to give it a black color, and putting it into heated containers marked "decaf" and "regular." Honestly, if I weren''t really, really addicted to caffeine, I wouldn''t be able to stomach the half cup at a time I''m able to choke down while holding my nose and grimacing.

Thank goodness for this one-cup brewer. I''ve got it set up on my desk at work, together with a few of the Senseo bags, and can finally have a cup of coffee at work that I''m capable of finishing.

Some highlights:

only makes as much coffee as you put water in, so it''s convenient to just grab a cup out of the kitchen, fill it with water to the height I want the coffee, and pour it into the machine. I know exactly how much coffee I''m getting every time.

adjustable height tray for coffee cups / mugs: if you''re not using a tall mug (like in the picture), you can flip around a little plastic tray that lifts a smaller cup about four inches closer to the coffee spout, eliminating splashing.

can hold one or two Senseo pods, each in their own location: you don''t have to precariously balance the pods, one on top of the other, and hope the water flows through properly. There''s a hinged tray that lets you put one pod in a lower position (the default position if you''re having just one cup), and then another pod in an upper position. The water will flow through both, and you''ll get coffee as strong as you expect.

easy to clean: since this is at my desk, a long way from any sink, it''s nice that I can just slip out the tray that holds the pods and wipe it down with a kleenex (not the kind with aloe!) to keep the coffee stains from building up cruft. One of these days I''ll walk it over to a sink for a proper rinse, but between uses, the wipedown is an easy and quick way to keep it brewing coffee that doesn''t taste like it was intended as a punishment for a lifetime of sin (see corporate coffee description, above).

One lowlight:

power cord is about five feet too short. Seriously, the cord is about 12 inches long. Do you have a power outlet within 12 inches of where you want to put this brewer? Many kitchens probably do, with outlets on the backsplash, and not having a tangled mess of cord is nice and all, but if you''re using this at work, you''re going to need an extension cord, or to set this on the floor under your desk with all the dust bunnies.

iSpring 75GPD 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System - Comparing to Watts Premier, Crystal Clear, GE, APEC
  • Solid construction. Noise free operation
  • NSF certified 75 GPD Reverse Osmosis Membrane for superior performance
  • NSF certified steel storage tank - Flavor free
  • Luxury Faucet ($30 retail value). No air gap. Noise free.
  • Automatic Shut-Off Valve. Clear housing in 1st stage - monitor filter life easily
  • If your water pressure is below 45PSI, we recommend our RO system with built-in booster pump, model #RCC7P.

For an aquarium fan like me, a source of clean water is essential. I live in a desert town in CA. The city water could be the dirtiest in the country. The TDS meter reads 300-500 ppm in different seasons. I have tried carbon and PP filters but none of them could reduce the PPM to below 200. With some basic education about water treatment, I found Reverse Osmosis is the only cost effective solution. I spent some time researching RO filters on Internet and bought a WATTs unit three years ago. It did the work but later replacement cartridges cost me a leg. Then I found this wonderful seller. Its unit is very similar to WATTs. The seller implied it is made in the same factory that provide OEM for brand names. Both the unit and replacement cartridge are at fraction cost. With that in mind, I purchased one unit and a set of pre-filters-of-three. It worked like a charm so I came back to order another two for my mother and sister. The package arrived quickly than I expected. The cubic box is well packed and includes all parts and accessories, including the upscale chrome faucet, which I like the most. The one that came with WATTs has black plastic handle and looks cheap. I got a local plumber to help me hook it up. With the attached manual, installation is quite straightforward. I found the flow chart is very helpful in understanding how the tubes are connected, although the tubes are colored already. We were confused a bit by the flow-restrict valve that controls the clean/waste water ratio and so called 4-way valve that split clean and waste water. We called the seller and quite surprisingly, the phone was answered right away by a real person. She gave clear instruction. In less than one hour, I got clean water from faucet with a stronger flow than my old Watts. I could not wait to take out my PH-TDS meter. It reads PH7.0 AND 18ppm! This PPM is ideal as pure water is actually not that good for your body. The water tastes great. The full glass looks crystal clear with some cute air bubbles, with absolutely no odds and cloud. I feel it tastes even better than Arrowhead bottle water. My fishes and water plants are happy with the water too. It produces 50 gallons clean water out of about 150 gallons waste water a day. This ratio is much better than WATTs'' one out of six ratio. I understand waste water is the nature of RO technology. Besides not buying any bottle water, I use the RO waste water to irrigate my lawn and make myself even a "greener" person. :) I hope the concentrated minerals would help reduce fertilizer use. Over all, this is the best RO filter at this price in the market. I would recommend to anyone.

I purchased this unit to replace a Watts Premier I had for 5 years overseas. I had a local plumber come to help install it he has a lot of experience with filters and came highly recommended. He was not impressed with the unit as soon as I took it out of the packaging. The pieces are all lightweight plastic, the filters and membrane have the correct stamps on them "75 gpd RO membrane," "10 micron carbon filter," etc. but when he showed me comparable filters, membranes and pieces from Italy, the quality difference was immediately obvious. The membrane came with the blue coloring rubbed-off in the plastic bag and the flow restrictor was from a 50 gpd membrane, and not a 75 gpd. When I wrote to the suppliers about this, they immediately responded that they had never received any negative comments and they would replace the membrane right away. The fact that I live overseas and needed to wait until I had someone coming to visit me meant I didn''t respond right away.

Within a week of installing the filter, one of the one-way valves froze open and I had a huge water bill and possibly ruined the membrane (if it wasn''t already). The water tester went from 30 ppm at install to 150 ppm once we realized what had happened. I wrote to them again and explained my dissatisfaction with the product and would return it if I lived in the states. I did want them to replace the membrane, but not with another of theirs. They responded by sending me a $20 refund. I haven''t seen any 75 gpd membranes for less than $28 and those are the iSpring membranes I don''t want to buy. I guess that is what I get for buying the "luxury" model that cost less than all the other non-luxury ones.

Save your money. Buy a more expensive filter than this one.

This is our second iSpring RO system and 3 system overall in the last 7 years. We bought a GE 4-stage from Home Depot in 2006 and it worked very well. We are a family of four and we pull, on average, 6-7 quarts of RO for drinking per day. I''m that guy who firmly believes in "go big or go home" and wanting more filtering we decided to upgrade to the iSpring 5-stage filter. That was last year. The iSpring is EVERY BIT as good as the GE if not better in terms of quality, ease of instruction, and performance. And yes, we could taste a difference between the 4-stage and 5-stage systems. The 5-stage tasted ''cleaner'' though I''m not sure how..

We were blessed to be able to buy our dream home several months ago and when we listed our original home the iSpring 5-stage RO system was listed as a feature of the house and ultimately a selling point. (we left the new home owners with a new, unopened set of replacement filters) The new owners told their agent that having the RO system already installed was ''very attractive'' to them and was an influence on their decision to purchase our house (off the subject I know but still things to consider..)

When it came time to purchase a new system for our new home I immediately went to Amazon to find an iSpring. I looked at a couple of other systems but really only to validate my belief that the iSpring is the absolute best bang for the buck out there. I went top-shelf and ordered the 7-stage ispring, complete with UV filter and mineral filter (ADDS beneficial minerals back to the water after the RO process) The price was excellent and the quality I already trusted.

The system is in and operating exactly as I would have expected and every time we get a glass of water we know that we have CLEAN, safe water. The taste is absolutely brilliant...

Okay, so I''ve told you that I''m very familiar with RO systems, having installed three of them. I ham a repeat customer to iSpring because of their quality. If I ever have to buy another system it will ONLY be iSpring. I''ve recommended iSpring to friends and neighbors without hesitation.. so what''s the "however?"

The 7-stage system is assembled in such a way that installation can be a real challenge. There are SO many filters and whatnot it is difficult to keep everything in place when installing. What I ended up doing (and LOVE actually) is that I went to Home Depot and bought additional tubing to mount each cartridge (stage) by itself. I moved 3 of the stages off of the main body and mounted them above the system. It is a very easy process and added literally 30 minutes to the install. Now I can easily get to each cartridge when the time comes to replace them. I think iSpring should look at remotely mounting some of the cartridges on the 7-stage systems... on the 5-stage it was no issue. The other "however" is a bit more serious. The UV filter is there to sterilize the water and the technology is sound. The problem however, is that the UV filter is ON continuously... and when no water is being drawn through the system that water which is in the UV tube gets hot... I mean HOT. This component absolutely needs to have a pressure switch added to regulate the on/off time of the UV light. When water isn''t being drawn from the system the pressure would be sufficient to turn the light off. When the fountain is used, the pressure drop would turn the light ON thus sterilizing the water as it flows. Turn Close the fountain and the pressure goes back up, tripping the switch and turning OFF the light. In my opinion this is a pretty big deal.. I drew a small glass of water to take some Motrin and the water was so hot I almost burnt my mouth. I''ve unplugged the UV light so I am receiving zero benefit from that stage right now. I am going to figure out how to incorporate the pressure switch but honestly just haven''t had time.

So... long story short.. iSpring is an EXCEPTIONAL value! It is a wonderful system that you can trust to give you years of worry free/hassle free service. Installation is a breeze as long as you stay at 5-stage systems and below. Beware of the UV feature... until they incorporate a way for the light to turn on and off with water use (pressure switch) I feel the UV feature is UNSAFE.

At "gee male" you can add JGM dot Texas if you''d like to inquire further. Happy to help.

Just installed the system tonight. Very good so far and pretty easy install for DIY home owner. REALLY helps the crappy calcium filled, chlorine overdosed water from my municipality. My only two problems are that the fittings used to tap into the cold water supply are not good enough quality for my taste, since they leak. Also I had hoped for some sort of air gap type of drain from the filter to ensure any backups from my drain don''t contaminate my filters. The leak is minimized if you follow instructions explicitly and use teflon tape instead of pipe dope (thread compound, which is normally my preference). If the leak doesn''t subside by the morning I will re-plumb with new fittings. Other than that, the system is great. All the fittings on the filter are quick connect and are of good quality, like the rest of the system. The seller (123filter) was quick to ship and very reasonably priced. The system was purchased because of it''s affordability and compatibility with industry standard filter sizes (at least that''s what I understand). Short time of use has not allowed a glimpse of reliability or durability.

*4 months later* that leak subsided by the next day, system has worked flawlessly so far. just ordered a filter pack to prepare for the 6 month filter change. Love it and so does the family. Great upgrade for your house and very affordable compared to bottled water.

We had a RO system installed a few years ago in another house and really liked it. The system arrived a few days after it was ordered. I was a little apprehensive about installing one myself as we remodeled our kitchen. I shouldn''t have been.

I installed the system in our basement so we could have more room under the kitchen sink. The instruction book was very clear and I had no problems with installation. Had to go to Lowes to buy a different connection to hook up the water supply line because my situation didn''t match the one sent with the system. Got the connections for less than $5 and everything else hooked up exactly like they described. Had a small leak in the tank connection, but a few turns of the wrench fixed that.

We are very happy with it and the water tastes great! The best thing is not having to haul cases of water from the vehicle to the kitchen every week.
