Whirlpool WHED20 Undersink Water Filtration System

I have had this for some time, replaced the filters twice. After replacing the filters the second time, it started to leak where the number one filter connects to the bracket. Didn''t notice it until it ruined the floorboards of my kitchen cabinet and soaked underneath. It will be a mess to clean up. I saw another reviewer with the same problem. A very expensive mess, and costly replacement of the bracket. Get something better quality.

PS: After considering my options, either buy replacement parts, or get something different, I decided to try a Zero water filter. I got one for less then the cost of replacement filters.

I had purchased the whirlpool filter so I wouldn''t have to continue buying bottled water for coffee. After I got My zero water, I tested my tap water: 355. i tested the water out of the filter: 333. Bottled water is supposed to be in the low teens. Zero water tested 000. So, after all of the expense to get water that is of the same quality as bottled, I now find that it was a complete waste of money, it didn''t do squat. No wonder my coffee maker was still getting plugged with crap and had to be cleaned so often. Education is expensive. If you want good quality water for coffee, the Whirlpool won''t give it to you.

don''t waste your money on this product.....very poor quality.....after only the 3rd filter change, the unit cracked and leaked. Company said I probably overtightened the filter....I assure you that did not happen. Thin plastic and poor design!!

I had the same issue as other reviewers. I replaced the main unit twice when it leaked after replacing the cartridges 2 time each only.

It is leaking for the third time in less than 3 years and this time I''m ripping the system out. Do not waste your time with this unit, do not risk a leak under your sink.

I live in the country on a very clean well. Installed the unit (cheaply constructed-chrome on plastic faucet). Just a dribble coming out. I doubt I can put up with it very long and will spend more money to correct the problem.

The unit worked fine until I had to replace the filter. Now there is a leak where the first filter hooks up. I don''t see an easy fix other than to replace the unit.
