P3 P7920 Chemical-Free Water Conditioner for Standard 3/4-Inch PipesIt''s been attached to my water system for several weeks now and I have not seen any discernable difference in the hardness of the water.

Bought my first one 10 years ago. I started to notice the difference after about 8 weeks. No more hardwater build up around the shower head and on the faucets. I just bought 2 more because the old ones were getting "weak?" after 10 years and the deposits were starting to return. I put one on the line in from the well and one on the line into the hot water heater. After four weeks no more deposits.

We live in a 1955 ranch style home with cast iron plumbing pipes. When we moved into the

house in 1986, there were a lot of rust stains on fixtures. We have off-the-scale VERY hard water in our little suburb so we battle it with multiple approaches. We have a traditional water softener and two P3s on the incoming water from the street. While our neighbors have had many plumbing issues, ours have NEVER been with incoming water. I wouldn''t be without it.

It did take time to work and once it did it did a great job and now it is back to not working at all again. I don''t know why nothing to our knowledge has changed. I would say save your money. Unless you can put it directly on the copper pipes in several areas causing problems it was just to large for us too. It did not fit ours. We have an older home and the copper pipes are smaller then this will fit on properly.

I should have added that it is located on one of our plastic pipes and on one copper pipe. However it should still gather the metals or limescale etc., that it is suppose to??

I attached this unit to my 3/4" copper pipe that is feeding my kitchen; it fit perfectly, but that''s where the perfection ended. For several weeks I tried to notice any difference in the water taste, but couldn''t. I also didn''t notice any decrease in water spots after washing the dishes. A month later, I purchased a TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meter to determine the effectiveness of this unit. My kitchen water (where this unit is attached) read 224 ppm. My bathroom water reading (No unit attached) was also 224 ppm. This confirmed that this water conditioner is just a gimmick and was a waste of time and money.

I eventually installed an RO system under the kitchen sink for drinking. FYI, The RO water reading is only 21 ppm and the water tastes great.

You know the saying "you get what you pay for". In this case, I got NOTHING for what I paid; the TDS reading didn''t even drop a few PPM
