These are great for removing the chlorine taste from our city water, which makes our coffee taste much better. The price, however, is a bit daunting, coming in at a whopping $4/each! Since it''s recommended that they be changed monthly, the cost is prohibitive enough to encourage a "faucet water filter" rather than these disposables.
I would recommend it, with little experience with different brands, I can only say it does the job and is priced right.

I love my Mr. Coffee and these filters really make the coffee taste fresh! I realized when I had my o9ld filter disc too long my coffee was weak and "funny" tasting. So I dated my filter and now I can replace it before I start not enjoying my morning cup of java !
