I picked one of these up locally and installed it to reduce contaminants and a funny smell from our well water. It made the water taste better and neutralized the smell well.

The package included everything I needed (well, besides the ancient fittings in my house I broke trying to re-route the line) and the faucet is a very handy addition.

I found that the filters that go at the end of your existing faucet (i.e.: PUR 3-Stage Vertical Faucet Mount Chrome FM-3700B) would just get in the way and eventually just get bumped off and break after a while. The separate faucet will swing out of the way if you really need it to, but is really non-cumbersome by design.

Installed mine probably something like 9 months ago and I''m just now getting to replacing the filter for the first time.

In looking for a filtration system, I would not purchase a product by the very company that is a leader in poisoning our water supplies in the first place.

Purchased this because I was tired of my kids breaking the "faucet-end" type filters I had been using and didn''t want to dedicate any space in my kitchen to bottled water. Product was not overly difficult to install but water was leaking from the dispenser when I turned it on. Since I am not a master plumber, I assumed I had done something wrong and rechecked all of my connections. Finding no problems from my connections, I attempted to isolate the exact source of the leak. I found that it was coming from inside the factory sealed on/off valve at the base of the faucet. DuPont customer service was quick to offer a replacement faucet but told me it would take 2 weeks to get here. I found a local retailer that sold the same item and figured I would use the faucet from that one and then return it with the new faucet when it arrived. Regrettably, after uninstalling the old faucet and installing the new one, the second faucet has the exact same leak. Obviously this is an inherent problem with the product and DuPont''s quality assurance department is not catching it. I now have a new hole in my sink and two mounting holes inside my cabinet and still don''t have filtered water.

Only positive thing I can say is that the filter did a good job of getting the chlorine taste out of the water I got before having to disconnect the system. DON''T BUY IT.
