This filter was rated highly by Comsumers Reports some years ago, and it''s very effective. It does everything advertised: removes odors and improves taste. However, the faucet is cheap: it''s plastic and feels flimsy. Replace that with a metal one and you''re in business. The filter also allows easy access if you keep the water lines long! Then the filter just lifts up from the attacment screws and you can then have plenty of room to remove the case and replace the filter.
