I used these for several years at an RV park where my trailer sat year-round. The water quality wasn''t great, and this filter did a beautiful job clarifying it. I would connect it to the supply hose, flush, then connect to the trailer. Periodically, I''d back-flush the filter and would be AMAZED at what came out. Every 2nd or 3rd back flush, I''d replace it.

Mine was attached to the trailer using the 12" white, potable water hose provided with the filter. (RV to 12" hose to filter to supply hose) What I noticed over time, however, is that the extra weight of the filter was pulling down on the RV water connector to the point where it was threatening to pull it off the side of the trailer. My recommendation is to toss the 12" hose and buy a longer potable water hose to run between the RV and the filter.

Purchased two by mistake; but after hooking to to our seasonal "trailer" that sits on a permanant site year round am so grateful that I did. Had bad water quality (stinky and high iron content). Very easy to install and the smell is gone!!! Not an issue with water pressure, no difference what so ever. No more staining from the iron either! Wasn''t sure what to expect for such a reasonable price but VERY happy with the product and grateful to have a spare.. will purchase more as the filters need replaced.

This filter does do a good job of filtering stuff out of the water but be warned that if you don''t start with high water pressure you will have flow problems in your RV. I found that anything below 40 psi was too weak to use the filter I would just end up with a little more than a trickle inside the RV. If I had 50-65 psi, my flow would be that of a 30-35 psi connection.

In the end, I went with a higher quality (and more expensive) filter because I just couldn''t take the water pressure issues. If you''re staying someplace with high water pressure, then this is a good inexpensive filter.

This filter works great. Very sturdy construction and easy to install. The extension hose is a must. It did not seem to interfere with the water pressure or water flow. I would recommend this to my friends. I will buy the RV-500 replacement (does not include hose) next time because I have the extension hose with this one.

I use this for homebrewing, and it''s been a great help on brew days---great because the water comes out very clean, and also because you can break it down after use. I''ve found other uses for it around the house, too. At this point, it''s an indispensable part of my kit.
