Culligan RDA-150 RainDisc Shower Optional Hi-Lo Arm, Chrome Finish

  • Installs between your existing shower arm and the RainDisc showerhead to any standard 1/2-inch threaded shower arm
  • Extends the length of the shower filtration system to enable the shower head to be mounted directly above, creating a true rain shower
  • Chrome Finish

I bought this to use with a Culligan Rain Shower Head. I am not sure about the one review who says you can''t angle it?? It lets you get almost any angle you need. As my showerhead is designed to point straight down for the rain effect, I have it coming straight out from the wall, and raised it little for extra height. But each place you see a knob, swivels. So you can angle the shower head any way you wish and then tighten the knob. The only thing I saw you had to be careful with is to not over tighten the knobs, as it starts to squash and cuts the rubber O-rings that keep the swivel points from leaking. But other than that, it placed my shower head a comfortable distance away from the wall, and at the angle I desired, which was straight down. But if you wanted for some reason, you can swivel the shower head to point at the wall the faucet is on, all the way to almost pointing up, so again, should hit almost any angle someone would need for any type of shower head.

It''s easy to install and it gets the shower head far enough away from the wall. I used it with an 11" "s" shower arm to get a bit extra height. The only other thing is probably obvious to most people, but it took me a while to realize the "knobs" go on the side, not the top. I''m glad I got it! I gave it a 4 because I still wanted a longer shower arm anyway--a little longer would have been better.

The arm is not strong enough, The shower head is heavy and the after about two weeks of use the arm bent. It still allows water to flow for now however the writing is on the wall.

I bought this arm to extend the Rain Disc Shower head, but it leaks at the first articulation joint. A fine jet of water was squirting up towards the ceiling. Upon further inspection, the O-ring at that joint was broken. I thought it would be a simple fix, but two trips to the hardware store later, I could not find the correct size O-ring. I emailed the seller, who was completely unresponsive, and returned it to Amazon for a full refund. I may try this arm again if/when I get a replacement, and I will change my review accordingly, but on service (or lack thereof) alone, you will not be receiving any return emails from this seller.
