My wife and I recently rented a house in south Texas for a couple of months. The local water piped into the house was drawn from wells and was classic "hard" water. By the second month the clear glass shower door and walls were completely filmed over with hard water deposits. Not a problem I thought, and set about one morning to clean the shower glass. First I tried Windex, only to discover that it had no effect at all. Next I tried Lime-Away with a no-scratch pad, this too after several applications did little to remove the hard water deposits. Next I bought a lemon based glass cleaner at the local hardware store, no effect on the deposits.
At this point I had invested several hours laboring inside the shower trying to remove hard water deposits. Frustrated, I researched the web and user reviews on Amazon which said good things about CRL A-Maz Water Stain Remover''s ability to remove stubborn water stains, so, what the heck nothing has worked so far, I ordered a jar of CRL.
When the CRL package arrived and I read the directions that all that was required was to wipe CRL onto the hard water stains, wait a few minutes then wipe the glass clean, and that no rubber gloves were required I thought I had wasted more money because I refused to believe a paste that looked like silver polish and a light pad (supplied with the product)was going to cut through the mineral deposits on the glass in this shower. I was delighted to discover that I was dead wrong!
It took me about three applications(total of about an hour''s effort) and I used half the jar (big shower with three clear glass panels), but CRL cut through the mineral deposits and the the shower glass was restored to like new clean. I was elated with the performance of CRL and would recommend it to anyone facing a serious problem of hard water deposits.
Amazon offers CRL through ShowerDoorDirect who shipped the product promptly and asked for feedback on their service after the sale.
Finally, once again the information offered in Amazon product reviews served me well. This product worked as well or better than anything else we have tried. We are on well water with high levels of silica. We have a water filter and softener but this does not remove silica. CLR A-maz works pretty well and we think that after two or three scrubbings all the stains will be gone. Also, this works very well on silver.

This product cleaned very bad hard water etching from my glass shower doors. It''s not caustic or smelly. It does require firm rubbing pressure. It also got chalky residue off the shower tile. It comes pre-mixed with a scrubber sponge included. I love it when a product actually does what it says it will.Read Best Reviews of CRL A-Maz Water Stain Remover - 14 Oz Container Here
I have worked construction for 41+ years and I have tried all of the tips, tricks and home remedies to clean water stains and film off of glass shower doors. Nothing worked.I have often found that the silliest sounding remedies often work the best so I went so far as to try Bounce dryer sheets (which left the shower doors smelling sprintime fresh but did nothing for cleaning them) to WD-40 (which merely masks the water stains by saturating them with oil and results in you busting your butt in the shower because you were dumb enough to spray water displacement oil -the "WD" actually stands for "water displacement" --in an area that is designed to allow water to drain from it!!! Duh!!!).
This item is the ONLY thing that I have ever found that quickly and easily removes heavy water stains and spots from glass shower doors!!! All of the other suggestions you may read about -i.e. dryer sheets, WD-40, cleansers, CLR, etc. -are worthless.
THIS PRODUCT IS THE REAL DEAL !!!

I got this product from amazon yesterday. I did not have too much hope since my shower glass door has so much water stain for the past 14 years. I tried other products and nothing was working. I noticed many people have 5 stars rating and only 1 have a 1 star rating. I checked the 1 star rating comment and other people''s reply to it. I follow the comment to use the sponge comes from the product. It works. My glass door is shinning again. Of course, it does not change the door to complete clean. I may say it removes 90% of the stain in 10 minutes. I will try another time to remove all of them.
