Old Friend Soft Sole Slipper

These are the only male soft sole sheep lined slippers I could find. I have now bought 3 pairs over the past 2-3 years for gifts and all the recipients have loved them. They are perfect for lounging about the house. The last pair I ordered was via Amazon & I paid extra for them to arrive in time for Christmas which they did and I was very pleased.

My daughter gave me a pair of these 5 years ago for my birthday. We have a lot of sub-zero temperatures here and I have to admit I don''t just wear them indoors, sometimes I run out to get things from the car in the ice and snow and just slip these on rather than put on shoes. I love them so much I gave my brother a pair for his birthday. He sleeps in his and no longer has cold feet. I have worn mine almost every day and they''re finally in tatters and now I have to buy my own pair. Definitely going with the same ones. Worth every penny and more!

I live in freezing San Francisco (seriously--it''s cold here most of the year!) and work from home, so I wear my slippers almost all day every day, and these are so great. They''re comfy, warm and durable (I''ve worn through the shearling fluff under each of my big toes, but that seems unavoidable given how much I''ve worn them in the last six months). Plus, they make your feet look like giant baked potatoes, which is kind of cute. Another thing: I read reviews of various sheepskin slippers before settling on these (because of price and style) and noticed that a lot of people have had trouble with slippers getting smelly, which worried me. This is my second pair, have been wearing first for over a year, now I rotate them. First pair survived many cycles through washing machine and still haven''t even lost wool inside sole at pressure points, really impressed.

I prefer bootie slippers during the cold months. I am fed up with cheap slippers that I have to replace every year, so I started looking around for something better. After reading reviews about Old Friend here and elsewhere I liked what I saw.

The comfort factor of these slippers is like no other pair I have owned. They are very soft, not too warm, and I love the soft sole. Despite the sheepskin my feet haven''t been sweaty even while wearing them in the 80s. I would have given a 5 star rating, except that after wearing just a few hours the first day the stitching started to come out of the top of the right slipper. I shouldn''t have to mend something less than a day old. I will see how they hold up in the long run.
