I raise citrus, avocados and stonefruit and have soil that is naturally nearly devoid of organic material. Regular fertilizer is unable to provide the micronutrients that these types of orchard trees need. My decomposed granite based soil is also unable to provide nor to hold nutrients easily so a granular type of product is needed to slow down their release. While expensive this stuff is great. I use it in an integrated pest and plant stress management system that work for very high yield in very dense orchard planting conditions.
