Easy install (did it myself) and bought an extra or 2 for the future. I ruined the previous filter by accidentally "washing off" the coating on the filter.... That isn''t "build up" or hard water deposits left from use, it is supposed to be there to help with the water absorb and distribute the water to the humidifier more evenly. Don''t do what I did...
