
When I changed filters after a couple of years (my bad, bad economy and no time), all the KX filters are still very solid in one piece. That''s why I use them.
I agree somewhat that if you have a good city water supply, the water aren''t that dirty and you are better off directing your resources to filter out chlorine and fluoride (whether you want it or not).
This is a sediment filter plus carbon for chlorine filtering. Of course I still have two other carbon filters.
The filter comes with manufacturers'' labels and KX mark moulded into the filter. It should be noted that the specifications are tested by the manufacturer. It''s an honorary system but I wouldn''t worry too much about it. If my TDS readings are consistently good, the membrane is working fine and the filters doing their job.
