The filter cleans and removes unwanted taste and smells in the well water. The life span of the water filter is as good as other filters of this quality.
The new one when taken out of the package and said made in china and really had no weight to it.
Do not know if it will filter as good the new one but will give it a try. It was the only one I could find that replaced the T01 Omni filter. I will give it two stars because if I read that it was made in China I would not have purchased it. Additionally it is only 1/4 the width of the one My refrigerator has a filter indicator and with the old on in front of it has never indicated needed replacement. Will update this review when indicator wants me to change filters...
