Mr. Coffee JWX31 12-Cup Programmable Pause N Serve Coffee Maker, Stainless SteelI love this coffee pot! I bought it before reading the negative reviews of most Mr. Coffee makers and was a littler nervous when I read all the bad things. I have owned it for several months now.

My coffee pot never leaks when I pour it. I can remove the pot while it is still brewing and pour myself a cup. The programable feature works great. The filter holder is removable, so it is easy to keep clean. Also, the top of the coffee pot itself snaps off so the whole thing fits in the dishwasher very nicely. I used the water filter for a while and then stopped because it was just one more thing to clean everyday, and we have pretty good water where I live. Also, I don''t use the reusable filter because I don''t like the sludgy taste it gives my coffee. I prefer disposable filters. Also, the cord can be tucked inside the back of the machine, so you don''t have extra cord length lying all over your counter. I scoot my coffee maker right back to the plug so I only need a short length of cord...the rest is tucked nicely in the back of the unit.

My favorite feature of this coffee pot is that when it is done brewing it gives two nice beeps. It wakes me up in the morning and motivates me to get up because I know my coffee is ready and waiting!

I would recommend this coffee maker to anyone!

This is the WORST COFFEE MAKER EVER DESIGNED. All it does is make steam and noise. When we put in 12 cups of water, it now only makes 6 cups of coffee. Regularly makes 4-6 cups of coffee less than the amount of water we put in. The rest of the water just comes out the top. I will never purchase a Mr. Coffee product ever again.

This coffee pot, no matter how fast or slow you pour it, it leaks....I would love to see the president of Mr Coffee trying to pour coffee out of this pot without it leaking. Then maybe then he might call his design staff in and fire them all. This is a common porblem for some of the Mr Coffee products but they don''t seem to care

I have had a different Mr C model (FTX23) for several years now, and with a home addition needed another coffee maker. I did not want to spend a fortune, but wanted some extra features, such as brewing strength selection -so, I decided on the JWX31. The carafe has not leaked -even when pouring all of the water into the machine. The pause and serve function has worked great so far. The fresh brew timer is nice so you can keep track of how long your coffee has been brewed and sitting on the burner. The design is very sleek and functional -very easy to use. The negatives posted here are from user-error --just read the instructions!! First, it tells you that it will brew about 1 cup less than the actual amount of water put into the machine --just add an extra cup of water when brewing! Also, when cleaning, it tells you that it will brew about 1/2 of the mixture immediately and then it will pause for about 30 minutes or so and then it will brew the rest of the solution. The only things I do not like are the beeping it makes after brewing -there should be an off button for this, and the burner temperature cannot be changed ---the FTX23 model has both of these functions -BTW, I read the reviews on here about the FTX23 model and I only had a small amount of water around the base of that maker and I had it for years with no other problems. I actually still don''t know if it was from spilling when pouring water into the machine or from an actual leak -it brewed the right amount of coffee each time. Overall, this maker -the JWX31 -is a great coffee maker at a great price --I got mine at Bed Bath & Beyond whose initial price was cheaper than Amazon and even better with their coupons.

Pouring coffee out of a carafe is not rocket science. If you open the lid while pouring it, it is going to spill. Therefore, don''t open the lid while pouring. They put it there for a reason ya know! Also, every coffee maker uses more water than you put in, so just add a little extra. The Cuisinart that I just replaced used about an extra cup, this one does too, it doesn''t take a genius to know that when water is hot it evaporates. This coffee maker works great, the only people who would give it one star are the ones that probably shouldn''t be using a coffeemaker in the first place!
