We wanted to do something about our shower water, because our water is chlorinated and fluoridated. This filter does not claim to filter fluoride, but it is supposed to reduce the chlorine.

Honestly, I''m kind of skeptical about it, because my husband and I both can still smell the chlorine in our water. Also, how much could this possibly filter, with water coming through so quickly.

Still, I suspect it makes SOME difference, so a "reduced" effect is better than nothing.

I buy these filters at my local Home Depot; they''re cheaper there than here on Amazon.

This filter works great for taking most of the chlorine out of the shower, it doesn''t get it all though. I notice a big difference in my skin when it needs changed, much drier and itchy.
