I live in Centre County, PA. Water in my town is horrible.

I love tea. However, the horrible water always ruins my tea which is famous Chinese black tea.

Water tastes fine if you read the directions. The directions say to soak filter in clean water for 15 minutes before using. This may be why some people think the water tastes bad.

I followed the instructions, soaked the filter for 20 minutes, then ran 3 cycles of water through it. The 4th run had a horrible chemical smell. Ran 4 more pitchers worth through it and got the same result. Water has a better smell right out of the tap.
