After purchasing the one listed as "Chrome", I couldn''t get it to not leak, so I sent it back and started looking for another one. After looking and reading about so many, this one had only one review (5*) but, I decided to take a chance anyway. I''M SO GLAD I DID!! I received it in 2 days (FREE shipping PRIME member). It was extremely easy to install (even though there were no instructions). It''s Stainless Steel construction with a solid foundation. The filter looked very substantial and the "tightening wrench" made it easy to be sure the unit was closed. Besides looking terrific...the water tastes even better! We were using the Pur filter facet system for the last year. The 54A is faster and tastes better, by far. I''m out of adjectives to describe how great this product is. It sells at Sears for a couple of bucks less, but buying it through Amazon, meant I didn''t have to leave the house, spend money on gas or (this is BIG)stand in line to get it. I hope this has been helpful to anyone searching for this type of water filtration system. You won''t be disappointed.

I figured out the installation but, it is poor form to not have a manual. Water flow is excellent. Yes I would recommend this product.

This filter has changed things so dramatically that we often wonder if there is sugar in the filter! The first sip of coffee in the morning tastes so sweet! The water from the faucet is unrecognizable and all tea, coffee and drinking water is just clean and clear. The dog has also thanked us for buying this filter too!

I received this water filter and there were no instructions included. No documentation whatsoever. After hooking this up the water tasted no different than the faucet water. I used a water tester to test the water and it read 261 ppm with the filtered water which was worse than the regular tap water which read 252 ppm. This is a ripoff and not worth $80. It does not filter the water. I immediately returned this back to Amazon for a refund. Still looking for a quality water filter that actually filters the tap water. Test your filtered water people. Not happy.
