I replaced my existing Honeywell TruSteam in line Filter after 1 year with this new one. Just turn the water off where the humidifier''s water line tapped into your water pipe, then remove the tube endings from the old filter, insert them into the new, and turn the water back on. I ordered this to replace the filter for my Honeywell Steam Humidifier. It looks just like the OEM version did, and works fine.

When installing to replace an old version, push in on the hose and hold the little ring that it fits into down and then pull the hose back out. It will pop right out. Just make sure you turn the water off to it, and have a little bucket handy, there is a lot of water in the hose and filter that will come out.
