Once the unit is properly mounted and secured with the bracket/hanger (which is included), installation goes smoothly although you will need some teflon tape in order to seal the connections. The really good thing about this type of filter unit is that you only need to replace the filter cartridge itself, and not have to fool around with the water connections! Another big plus is that the Culligan cartridge unit is rated for one year or around 2500 gallons versus most of the others which are rated for around 3-4 months or 750-1500 gallons. These figures translate into an excellent price/value relationship. After the first batch is discarded-the odors and bad aftertastes are gone--and have been for one month now! Highly recommemnded!!!
