Black Plus Blum Charcoal Refill Water Filter

I live in the south. My tap water is not very tasty at all. I was excited to get this because of the positive reviews. I filled up a 1 gallon container and put the charcoal in the water and left it for 12 hrs. I''m not sure about the impurities and minerals and all that. I just know it does not taste like anything I want to drink. Yuck! Disappointed.

This stuff does what it is supposed to do. Although my feeling is the life span is perhaps not as long as is stipulated.
