Hydro Logic Stealth RO 200 Customized Reverse Osmosis filter

I have a hydroponic greenhouse, and unfortunately the water supply has too much calcium and so tap water was not good enough for hydroponic systems. Basically, the calcium combines with the plant foods and comes out of solution, throwing your chemicals out of balance. I started by setting up one of the typical under counter RO units in the greenhouse. This worked for a while, but as the plants started needing more water as the summer months came in, I found that the small RO system could not produce enough water.

I purchased this Hydro Logic Stealth unit, and have been extremely happy with it. It produces water with an electrical conductivity reading of 0.0, which is what you want for hydroponics. Next, I found that it had no trouble producing enough water for my 20X30 greenhouse running at full capacity. I also found that the amount of waste water generated was acceptable.

One suggestion . . . to get maximum benefit from this unit, dont try and hook it to a pressure tank. I have mine hooked to large plastic tanks, and connected to a float valve to turn the unit off when the tank if full. This allows you to really maximize the amount of RO water the unit produces.

I am delighted with this unit and would recommend it to anyone interested in hydroponic gardening.

Excellent product for the price! It arrived in the time stated and undamaged. It makes about 5 gallons per hour running at 50 psi. PPM of 8. Im getting a 4 to 1 waste ratio. The paperwork included claimed it was a 3 to 1 ratio but no big deal. It did come with a eco Waste reducer to change it to a 2 to 1 which im not using.

It came with all tubing needed to setup and start making RO water in less than min. The water line in came with a garden hose adapter but if you want to plum it in to your house you will need to set that up yourself which is actually simple if you havent done it before. You will also need an adapter for the waste line to tie in to existing plumbing if you choose.

I run this unit outside to a drum with a float valve, the unit comes with a auto shutoff that works great in combo with a float valve.

This thing rocks! I combined this RO filter with a auto shut-off valve and love it. I can keep it hooked up and on all the time going to my reservoir. Whenever it needs filling, it does it automatically. This filter works great, I would recommend to anyone looking for a RO filter.
