We use this as the initial filter for the water coming into our house, which is from a well. The water then runs through our water softener, and our drinking water goes through a reverse osmosis system.

We bought our house in October, and didn''t get around to changing the filter until early November. Evidently, the previous owners hadn''t changed the filter for awhile. Once we changed the filter we noticed an immediate improvement to the taste and smell of our water.

Very happy with this filter. We''ll be changing it every two months or so, as recommended.

These are not bad: But hard to line up in filter housing there''s no collar on them to hold them in place.
