Fit Fruit & Vegetable Wash, Soaker/Refill Bottle Save 31% Off

Fit Fruit & Vegetable Wash, Soaker/Refill Bottle, 32-Ounce UnitsWhen I first started using Fit I was extremely impressed at how well it worked for cleaning fruits & vegetables. It didn''t leave behind a bad taste, there was a noticeable improvement in how clean the food looked & tasted, and the food actually stayed fresher longer.

My cat is very picky when it comes to water. After washing her bowl with very mild dish soap and rinsing it thoroughly she would still detect the smell/tast of soap and would refuse to drink from it. I spent so much time rinsing her bowl out that it was ridiculous. So when I recently purchased a Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain (which is great by the way) for her, the thought of cleaning and rinsing it became a nightmare. That''s when I decided to give Fit a try, and wow does it work great. I can wash it, rinse it once, and my cat will drink from it without any problems. It''s also nice knowing that there aren''t harmful chemicals in it that I have to worry about.

So to make a long story short, Fit works great for cleaning your pet''s food & water bowls, especially for the ones that are picky/sensitive.

[Other Thoughts]

One thing to keep in mind, especially for people who are in hurry, is that Fit works best when you lather it up. For example, simply spraying it on an Apple and then rinsing off probably won''t do a whole lot. You need to lather it up with your hands first and then rinse it off.

According to their website Fit also disinfects and kills 99.9% of harmful bacteria. The reason I mention this is because they only advertise that it removes 98% of contaminants, and I wanted to make sure it disinfected as well -and it does.

In case anyone''s interested here are the ingredients they have listed on their website.

Ingredients/Chemical Name: Citric acid (from corn & molasses), sodium lauryl sulfate (derived from palm kernel and/or coconut oil), sodium carbonate & magnesium carbonate (all derived from minerals), Grapefruit Oil extract.

I cannot say enough good things about this product! It does a superb job on my produce, but I''ve also discovered that it''s great on my cast iron, (no matter what I''ve cooked on it). I just fill it with the hottest tap water and add about a teaspoon of FIT. After a two-minute soak I gently swish with a scrub brush and it''s clean. Rinse, and the brush looks like new again too. Before I dump it out, I dip a cloth and and clean my stove-top as well. The FIT solution cuts right through the grease! The first time I did this I noticed how sparkly-clean my rings were afterward, so now I use it in my ultrasound jewelry cleaner too. The list just keeps growing, to the point where I now use it to clean just about everything!

I totally agree with the other reviewer about how great Fit not only cleans vegetables and fruits squeaky clean but also cleans and degreases all kinds of household items (I use it on my coffee pot and it takes coffee stains off of the white lid and gets the glass carafe sparkling clean)! Fit is also a great stain remover for carpeting, car interiors and clothing too (very gentle and doesn''t suds up). I''ve used it to remove grease from my hands as well because it''s so mild. The possibilities are virtually endless and this stuff lasts a LONG TIME. I bought two of these sized bottles well over a year ago from the Fit website before they joined with Amazon.com and I still have a full bottle left.

I''ve been using fit since it first came out quite a long time ago (when you could actually get it in local grocery stores) and when it was discontinued for a few years I was absolutely heart-broken and never found any other product that could even come close by comparison so I''m ecstatic that Fit has come back on the market and I highly recommend it. Once you try it you''ll be hooked.

Note: You do not want to water down Fit when using it as a spray-bottle refill. Just pour it into the sprayer undiluted.

VERY Deceptive Marketing !!!

Company claims product removes 98% more pesticides, waxes, people-handling residues and other contaminants vs. washing with water alone.

The implication is that 98% more pesticide residues are removed vs. washing with water alone.

This is absolutely FALSE. (see STUDY below)

Claim bundling is one of the most abused marketing techniques. People who buy this product are probably most concerned about pesticides on their produce and it''s no accident that the company puts pesticides first in the bundled list of contaminants of which 98% more are removed versus water washing alone. Putting pesticides first creates a trigger response by the consumer 98% of chemicals removed!!!! CLICK BUY. It''s a lie according to the study (see link below). The study used a long rinse time of one minute but recommends a 30 second rinse for the same result (implied). If you spray with FIT, then rinse, you will use a similar amount of time but will be under the delusion that you have removed virtually all the pesticides.

The scientific fact, based on the Connecticut study, is that there is no difference between thorough rinsing with water vs. using FIT as far as pesticide removal goes. In fact, some chemicals, such as commonly used chlorpyrifos (nervous system inhibitor) and vinclozolin, bifenthrin and were not reduced either way unless you peal the fruit/vegetable.

The REALITY is that basic washing with water only is equivalent to using this product for pesticide removal. If you are paranoid about microbes on the produce, a quick spray with vinegar and/or real lemon juice is effective. Pealing, sadly, is the most effective way to eliminate pesticides... or go with more expensive organic produce.

This is a superfluous product that exists only to lighten your wallet.

Want Fit Fruit & Vegetable Wash, Soaker/Refill Bottle Discount?

Used Fit to clense fruit and vegetables for a long time. Always bought the spray bottle, but the bulk 32oz bottles saves money.

Very disappointed though, when the manufacturer would not reply to a simple email question I had about the usage of the product.
