I''ve been using these dechlorinators now for 20 years. I used to have a Koi pond and invariably, I would forget when filling it. Thanks to the fact that the hose was connected to this filter, I never lost a fish. Every hose in my garden has one and I have now added the prefilter as well. You really want to preserve all the microbes in your soil. Do them a favor and take out the chlorine!

Made of weak plastic. Became brittle after one season of light use and one of the ends broke off. Not only is it not durable, but it''s ridiculously slow at filtering. If you are watering even a small garden by hand, it will take forever to get the job done. Do a little more research and you can find something better for 20-30 more bucks, and it will definitely be worth it.

This product really works, takes the chlorine out of the water and gives the plants the same water as rain water without the chemicals. I believe the plants love this water because they have grown fast since I started using it. I also use organic fertilizer and SuperThrive.

I''ve been conditioning the soil in my clay soil garden. The soil organisms I''ve been adding give this system two thumbs up!

Just a warning about this filter, it not only removes chlorine, it removes calcium and magnesium from your water, among other potentially beneficial things. This might not be a problem if you are using an appropriate cal-mag supplement to your water (in the right amounts mind you) but if you are not your plants could become calcium and magnesium deficient very quickly without the natural amounts in tap water. For the majority of people, if chlorine is your major concern, a greater (and cheaper) benefit would probably be obtained by letting the water sit out for one to two days so the chlorine evaporates. The product works perfectly fine but be sure you know what you are using it for, if your tomato plants don''t have a steady supply of calcium and magnesium the filtered water from this will cause them to start breaking down and dying after a couple of uses.
