This filter is easy to install in a simple counter top housing. Initially, the water tastes kind of like rubber (or charcoal or some other chemical -not sure). But after a few days, that off flavor dissipates.

We have well water and our pressure isn''t real good but this has always worked wonderfully. My autistic child drinks water like he has inside information on a drought. He drinks gallons of water each day. I only use Matrikx PB1 in an under counter hookup. I drilled a small hole in our counter top and put in a small water filter spigot. While it doesn''t come out nearly as fast as the cold water spigot, it comes out plenty fast enough. With this system, I feel safe enough to let the little guy have a ball.

This is my second time buying this water filter and I love it. Makes my water so much better. I have like 5 or 6 Sobe bottles (strongest bottles on the market) in my fridge and it''s just like having bought bottle water. Filter lasts a long time and for me it''s perfect.
