I bought this to check my well water and swimming pool. It reads differently each time I use it. For example, take it out of the drawer and it will read 45 for the water after my RO filter, then dry it out, and read it again and it says 55. Wait an hour and it will read 64. Put the water in a glass and read from the glass and get 85. Go back to the faucet and read 55. It reads each faucet in the house at a different level, sometimes as much as 100ppm different. New plumbing throughout the house.

Also, it hates salt. If you have a water softener, it will read wrong. It won''t read a salt water pool at all, it just goes to an ''err'' display and stays there. A tiny bit of salt in a glass of water and it will give the same reading.

For me, it''s useless. It may work for other people on city water without softeners, but I wouldn''t trust it.
