- Cartridge for Delta Monitor style faucets
- Repair your faucet
I would never have thought that someone could screw up an off-brand part that was this simple, but I guess this is one of the few times I''ve been proven wrong by the naysayers who say to buy brand-name parts rather than generics. I returned this and got the delta and I''m extremely satisfied.

I didn''t buy this off Amazon, but bought the same part locally and had the exact same experience as another reviewer. Once the water heated up, the valve started squealing. This was after about 2 weeks of use. Very frustrating. Used the OEM Delta part and it worked great.Read Best Reviews of Danco 10347 Cartridge for Delta Monitor Here
The quality of this cartridge seems to be OEM equivalent. It was the only reasonably-priced alternative to the Delta-branded piece, which is priced at about half of what the entire fixture set cost me five years ago. Overall, I have had decent luck with Danco products. The problem: Delta has very similar-looking cartridges that have slightly different center-to-center spacing on the inlet nipples, and this one didn''t fit my fixture. I consider this to be my fault. I was in a restricted time frame, though, so rather than return it to Amazon, I used parts from the new cartridge and rebuilt the original, and so far it has been working fine. The moral of the story: Be careful what you order, and VERIFY it will fit your exact model number. NOTE: The rest of this review is going to be about Delta, not Danco. Be aware that the new Delta does not seem to be the old Delta company (they sold out several years ago), and they have changed and/or eliminated several time-proven fixtures for newer (probably cheaper to produce/stock, more profit to sell and maintain) designs. Also, the quality and consistency of the chrome is not as good as beforeI have some of the newer fixtures bubbling in only two or three yearsthis never would have happened with the Delta I grew up with. The brass is noticeably thinner and the fixtures are lighter than before. More plastic is being used (although this admittedly isn''t always a bad thing). The internal copper tubing is smaller. If I sound disillusioned herein, I am... I have watched "good old brand names" get milked before, and I am very disappointed with my experiences with the "new" Delta. If my house wasn''t totally plumbed with Delta, I would have switched to a different brandprobably Kohlerseveral years ago.
