Shark Professional Steam Pocket Mop: 3 Quick Release Mop Heads

I loved my old shark pocket mop, until it got wore out and died... :( So, I loved it so much and it worked so well, naturally I went out and bought the newer model from Costco.

There are some new great features: a larger water tank, a longer cord, three cleaning options, and no pumping action to get it working just plug it in (wait a few min), select your cleaning option, and start mopping.

The thing that brings this model down to 3 stars, when normally I would rate this product at a 5, is the new ''imporved'' mopping pads all have that dusting kind of threads hanging off of it. I don''t know what they are really called, but the purple pocket pad has them from the previous model (that we NEVER used). Those particular pads do not clean my tile floors at all. I am glad I have an old pile of the microfiber clothes to use with my new Shark Pocket Mop, or I would have returned it ~ I feel they are that usless, they make the mop not even worth getting if you are being forced to use those things.....

So, new Shark Pocket Mop with old microfiber clothes = 5 Stars, where as the new Shark Pocket Mop with the ''new'' pads = 3 (not worth buying if you can''t get ahold of the old pads though, don''t waste your hard earned money).

I have multiple dogs, from 16 to 114 lbs not to mention the grand puppies and grand children tracking ''who knows what'' in the house on to the laminate floors. After spending more then I should have on other cleaning products and tools, after just one use of the steam mop I''ve finally got my floors clean! I would recommend this mop to anyone that has multiple types of floors, tile, laminate, hardwood etc., that need to be cleaned. No chemicals needed, everything comes up fine with just the use of clean tap water. Hey and get this my socks no longer get dirty while walking on my freshly cleaned floors, Great product.

Okay so I am a mom to a 20 month old son, who is in the process of learning to go potty. (YEEEAAHHHH see why I said good for what I need it for;) ) So I hate using harsh chemicals in my house anyways (we both have asthma, and very sensitive skin) I bought one at t**get for 135 plus you get a 20 gift card back. That unit had three mop heads (with two types the triangle and the rectangle).

It worked adequately to quickly heat up and clean the floors after accidents (I literally use it after each potty trip). However I am not throwing away my normal libman mop because this does a good job at sanitizing your floors and making them not feel grimy, but for thick messes (like after my toddler eats dinner and half the plate is on the floor) its better to use a normal mop.

Well a few days after buying the one from target I saw they had the same model at sam''s club with FIVE mop heads for 99. Well you know I took mine back and went to sams and bought it. after taxes and adding a five dollar extra year warranty (since everyone keeps saying they die after the one year mark) it came to 115.

I have had the last one I bought for about a week now, and I promise it is worth 100 bucks. It is so simple to plug in and clean the bath room floor. I have linoleum and it didn''t mess it up or leave streaks (and I used it on the highest setting which they say not to on these floors). I did use it in my fridge (lol yes I really did with a clean pad) on a nasty sticky mess that had accumulated on the bottom of the fridge under the drawers, and it took up a nasty mess that would have taken a lot of hot water and soap, and probably a whole roll of paper towels. It cleaned it up easily. I had really considered taking it back until I saw it make the fridge look like new. I figure as long as it can quickly sanitize my bathroom floors repetitively through out the day, and when needed clean up really thick sticky messes it is worth $100.

So I wanted to update my review, and up the stars to five. I have been using this mop in both the kitchen and bath since I wrote the first review and have NOT had to use the old fashioned mop!! Even with dried yogurt and spaghetti on the floor, I just let it steam on it for a minute and the it comes up! Over all I am very very happy I bought this!!!

I''m very pleased with the Steam Mop. It cleans my 4,ooo sq ft. house quickly and efficiently! I do like to spry Bona hardwood cleaner spray onto my wood floors before running over them with the mop but that''s a personal preference. No streaks or spots. Also fantastic for the slate floors in the showers and travertine in the bathroom, even the unsealed slate in the kitchen! Highly recommend!
