This is our third one. It is very basic and does the job. Coffee is hot. No frills. Love it. We replace it about every two or three years. Rock steady.

The burner on my previous coffee maker had shed its coating in spots and was rusting. I bought this simple machine as a replacement. It does the job. You do have to pour water from the carafe into the reservoir very slowly to avoid spillage, and it''s nearly impossible not to have some water on the counter after filling. I''ve not had a similar problem when pouring coffee, though, so I can live with wiping up a bit of water. This item has no clock, no programming, no automatic shut off. It''s completely basic, and it does what it is designed to do. It takes basket-type filters, which are much less expensive than are the cone type. All in all, a satisfactory purchase.
