749 EZ Freeze Pure water filter refills (Pack of 2)

I hate drinking tap water, especially after I read an article commenting on how there is copper in your water. I already experience copper overdose, and drinking tap water just tastes funny to me. After trying other water filter bottles, none of them had the suction to actually get a drink of water...it would be all air. This is by far the best water bottle filter I have ever tried. And for less than $10, you cannot go wrong :)

I suppose this review addresses more the state the product was in when I received it than the actual product. When I opened the box packed by Amazon for the 3 different products I''d ordered, the box these filters were in was damaged a bit on one end and the plastic that looked as if was supposed to be around the box, probably for freshness, was torn and open. When I opened the box both filters were loose in the box with no plastic around them... not sure if that was normal since it appeared the box had been previously opened.

Not wanting to take the time to return it I went ahead and used one of the filters in my water bottle and was disappointed at the funny taste of the supposed filtered water. Clearly the freshness of the filters were compromised by being unwrapped. Yes I can send it back to Amazon and hope for a better experience next time but my inclination is to order direct from Cool Gear and bypass the possibility of getting a product that has sat on a shelf, unrecognized to damage or a previous return so Amazon can make a few more cents...

My local Wal-Mart never has these filters in stockI have looked for 3 1/2 months. No joke. I took a chance on these, not being absolutely sure they were the right size for my water bottle. I was thrilled to receive them and find out they are the exact same as the filter I had, if only for the color, which is no big deal. I will be ordering again. Much cheaper and more efficient than bottled water and easier to find than in my local store!
